My wife and I arrived to Portugal from Canada and immediately embraced Lagos as one of the best overall destination experiences from all travel experiences. The best part of Lagos was Discover's sea kayak tour along the beautiful shoreline. The tour was exactly as advertised, and more. It took us through an abundance of enchanting caves. Each tour is only attended by about 16-20 people, and Discover employs local people passionate about giving enthusiasts the most out of their experience. The lead tour guide for our tour (Reda) did an outstanding job of making sure everyone had a blast, while keeping everyone feeling safe and looked after. The small group makes it easy to keep up and hear the tour guide talk about all the caves as we go through them. Highly recommend!

My husband and I along with our two dear friends shared this experience. We did the 3 hour Catamaran cruise and enjoyed it so much that we immediately booked the kayak tour as well. The Discover crew is the best around. Had an amazing couple of trips with them along the coast of Algarve .. we did the sunset cruise and the fun cruise.. both times the crew made us feel beyond positive and you can tell they take pride in what they do.. The food and wine in the sunset cruise was so delicious... well executed.. Carlos and I cannot thank you enough!

We did the kayaking tour by Ponta piedade on Friday at 1pm. The team was nice and the guide, Pedro, very talkative and funny. He did a really good job explaining us everything about the area.

We went on a 2h kayak tour through the grottos which was amazing. The guide and captain were super friendly and funny and made this experience very enjoyable. Just prepare to get pretty wet.

I had never been kayaking before, and we signed up for the half day boat/Kayaking tour that takes you buy boat out to the first stop where you get on your kayak (tandem). The guide made me feel safe and comfortable. Although I had never been before, I'm comfortable saying it may be the most beautiful kayaking views in the world. This gives you a great up-close experience with the famous blue grotto's at Ponta da piedade and the many coves/beaches nearby. Our guide Piedro kept it fun, and made sure we knew what we were doing and how to stay safe on the water. I did not take many photos since we were on the water (I didn't bring my camera or phone on the kayak); I can say though that no photo could do the beauty justice. Even if you are an armature and have never kayaked before, you will love this tour.

We were 4 girls and did the kayak experience to Punta se Piedade. Literally AMAZING!!!! Would highly recommend to anybody!!! Families and beginners will 100% enjoy the experience!! You will have the chance to get into many different caves, with crystal clear sea! Definitely the best way to explore the area!

I booked a Catamaran tour (4 hours) 10am - 2pm on a Saturday. It was as busy to be expected in the high season. The staff were really nice and friendly. The drinks are very reasonably priced and the price of the Catamaran included lunch with a meat or veggie option. It was a great trip along the coast with an hour stop to do some paddle boarding, swimming, diving, jumping on the trampoline or just sunbathing. Would go again and definitely recommend it.

Nous avons réservé un tour de 3h pour 12 personnes. Sur le site internet tout est fait pour que le client s’imagine que le nombre de passagers sur le bateau est limité à 15 personnes. Mais attention en fait c’est un mensonge! Ce jour là il y avait plus de 50 passagers sur le bateau !! Lorsque nous sommes arrivés nous avons été accueillis par une femme très désagréable qui n’a eu pour seule réponse que de dire que tout est de la faute des clients. J’ai demandé à parler à un responsable : impossible. J’ai demandé à être remboursé : impossible. Bref : fuyez cette entreprise à moins que vous souhaitiez être maltraité et parqué comme des animaux sur un bateau charter low cost.

Muito bom e recomendo. Passeio de barco pelas grutas Benagil. Tripulação divertida e bom ambiente. Desde a terra ao mar foi tudo fabuloso.

Super excursion en bateau + visites des grottes en kayak. Matériel ok et brief de sécurité très complet, on se sent en sécurité. Réservation facile via trip advisor ou directement sur place. Mention spéciale au guide et skipper André et Peter avec qui nous avons bien rigolé !! Saluons en même temps leur professionnalisme. On recommande vivement car les choix sont nombreux sur Lagos et là vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés !

We did the catamaran tour at 9am. It was the perfect time as there were just 8 other persons on board with our party of 7 (which included a 3 year old and 12 year old). The guides were friendly and informative and the cocktails were good. The entire ride was 3 hours which included a 1 hour stop to swim and have fun on the many activities provided and the guides trained the kids in the paddle board. Great fun for the entire family. Pick your time wisely...when we returned to base there were at least 40 people waiting to board for the next sailing.

Maravillosa experiencia con los mejores guías.

Reservamos con ellos un tour en kayak a través de civitatis con 48 horas de antelación. La reserva fue confirmada y cobrada en el momento. Cuando llegamos alli tras un viaje de 130km (más otros 130km que nos esperaban de vuelta) nos dicen que nuestra reserva no está. Después de enseñarles la confirmación y el pago realizado nos siguen diciendo que no tienen nuestra reserva y que no pueden hacer nada porque el tour está completo. No creo que sea forma de tratar a los clientes. Si ellos han tenido un problema con el intermediario a través del cual reservamos tendrán que buscar una solución y no dejarnos tirados de esa forma. (trabajo en el mundo del turismo y sé bien de lo que hablo). Tras pedirles una hoja de reclamaciones nos dicen que nos esperemos a ver si falla alguién, cosa que( curiosamente )sucedió. Considero que gestionaron el problema de una forma totalmente incompetente. Si no hubiese fallado nadie nos hubiesen dejado tirados. Como parte positiva diré que el guía de la excursión fue muy agradable. Se notaba que disfrutaba de us trabajo.

The kayak tour around the caves was awesome! Peter and Andre were excellent hosts. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to see the grottos...! I think we had way more fun than the people on the boat tours!

We booked a two hot kayak tour. I felt a little misled by the fellow at the kiosk we booked through, as we initially wanted a boat tour and the way it was explained, it seemed like the kayaking was secondary. Nope, it was the whole tour - but it was great! Pedro was an awesome guide, leading us around the grotto. It was truly spectacular and worth the price. Nice work!

Die dreistündige Katamaran-Tour wurde storniert, da wir zu wenig Leute waren. Die Dame teilte uns mit, dass man uns eigentlich hätte vorher informieren müssen, dass die Tour eventuell nicht stattfindet, dies war jedoch leider nicht der Fall. So standen wir um 10.00 Morgens beim verabredeten Treffpunkt und durften wieder nach Hause.

Überfüllte Tour. Beim Essen haben wir kein vegetarisches Essen mehr bekommen obwohl wir es so gebucht haben. Es hieß wir sollen doch einfach das Fleisch einfach selbst rauspicken.

This activity looked great but unfortunately, after 30 minutes of waiting, the captain of the boat came to announce that the ride was canceled and that to be able to have our refund we would still have to wait.

Bonjour, Nous sommes très déçu par l'aspect commercial de l'activité jet boat, plutôt mensongère. En effet, on nous a vendu des places avec une boisson offerte après l'activité, mais le "commercial" est resre introuvable une fois la vente réalisée. Par ailleurs, il était convenu de recevoir gratuitement la vidéo du tour et depuis le 31 juillet nous n'avons a ce jour toujours pas reçu la vidéo malgré plusieurs appels de relance. Nous ne recommandons pas cette société..

We had a great tour experience with Piedro! The scenery was beautiful, the kayaks were durable and the tour was informative and fun! 10/10 would recommend.

Great tour guide (captain shark/Trevor) made it worth the money. The route is busy with tour groups and other kayak groups though so be prepared (went at 11am so perhaps the 9.00 is better for avoiding the sea traffic).

We went on the 3 hour trip to visit the grottos and then swim in the waters off praia de Luz. The staff were really informative efficient friendly and fun. They had this great inflatable challenge and 4 paddle boards to try out. The grottos were stunning would love to have got closer but advisable to go on a kayak if you want to see the caves up close and be out for half a day. Thank you Discover Tours. We even got to boogy

Wonderful tour with a very nice and professional crew who made a party out of it. Many good playing materials for use during the stop. They even stopped the boat for rescuing a bird who had plastic around his beak. Great people. Respect.

Nous avons fait la sortie kayak de 2h aller et retour en bateau, et 1h20 environ de kayak dans les grotte, c'était l'idéal avec un enfant de 6 ans le personnel était super sympa et drôle en particulier "cap'tain shark" parcours magnifique + farniente sur le bateaux et le ptit + un moment pour sauter en pleine mer du pont supérieur du bateau ! On s'est eclaté

Reservamos el día 4/7/2017 viernes, para hoy 6/7/2017 . una experiencia de kayak y buceo, duración de 2:30 horas. la parte de kayak, todo muy bien, el guía muy amable y hasta explicándolo en expañol. Hemos estado 2 horas aproximadamente y de ahí, nos han dejado tirarnos un par de veces desde el techo y nos han llevado de nuevo al puerto, en el puerto hemos preguntado por el buceo y nos han dicho que teníamos que averías pedido las gafas miéntras nos tiraba os porque no les daba tiempo.. cua do sobraba 30 minutos, y eso es una actividad programada. El capitán ha sido muy borde y no nos ha solucionado nada, de un sitio nos mandaban a otro y la responsable directamente se ha ido mientras le hablábamos. Al final hemos podido contactar con un jefe supetior y el nos ha pedido disculpas y nos ha devolvió 5 euros a cada uno. He de decir que nos ha ofrecido vivir otra experiencia de 3 horas.

We chose the “Lagos Wine Tasting Cruise” package with Discover tours after hearing good things about them while out and about in Lagos… we were not disappointed! We were initially concerned to see a negative review on Google but that was clearly left by someone who doesn't understand that they have to cancel if the waters are dangerous - they’re the experts. Their catamaran was in pristine condition and the staff were incredibly friendly and professional and made our group of 8 feel welcome and relaxed. All the wines sampled were from a local vineyard and despite not being a huge wine fan, each wine was beautiful and perfectly paired with tapas (the horse mackerel being a particular favourite). We travelled along the Lagos coast at a leisurely pace, with the staff occasionally pointing out local landmarks. We stopped briefly halfway through our cruise to allow those who wanted a swim to take a dip (snorkelling equipment was provided free and good quality). My only complaint would be that this tour didn’t last much much longer! ;) Fantastic, thank you - some amazing memories and a perfect end to our holiday.

I booked this cruise as a birthday present but the day before they cancelled it "due to adverse weather conditions". This sounded like a ridiculous excuse considering the weather was beautiful. My guess is that they simply didn't have enough reservations and decided to cancel it. Shame!
