En frente del mar se encuentra esta pequeña joya.
Platos ricos y buenas raciones.
Acudimos para probar su pulpo, pero se había agotado. Prueba de que era bueno.
Sin embargo, descubrimos su plato vegetariano. Un placer!!

Went for dinner. Had a sublime tuna steak and an excellent grilled octopus.
Choco-mousse as desert, done with egg-whites; rarely had it that good!

Excelent! Vam descobrir-lo per recomanació de un local. El tracte bonsíssim, menjar de mar brutal.
Recomano molt els musclus amb salsa de llet, i el pop a la brasa.

Um local desconcertante pela positiva. Entramos a pensar num ambiente de tasca, com o peixe grelhado, mas fomos surpreendidos, por uma sala original na decoração, mas muito agradável. A simpatia da jovem equipa é contagiante. A ementa é uma agradável surpresa, pela originalidade da apresentação. A comida que nos chegou valeu cada euro que custou.

Gostei muito da confecção dos pratos e do ambiente proporcionado. A vista que se tem ao degustar aqueles sabores é de gritar por mais! A experiência podia ser perfeita se não fosse o preço alto que se paga pelos pratos. Tem muito poucas cadeiras para bebés e não tem muita variedade ao gosto das crianças. Resumindo, gostei mas não conto lá voltar!

Fantastic! We started with a delicious tomatoe salad then had the chicken, the tuna steak and the philly sandwich (cream cheese and salmon). Everyone loved theirs, and tried everyone else's and everything was delicious ! Beautiful views too. Great evening!

Authentische Küche durchgehend von 12 bis 22 Uhr
Wenn Sie über die Fuhrt auf die kleine Insel Baleal gelangen, ist die Taberna do Ganhao das erste Restaurant an der schmalen Insel - Ringstraße. Es handelt sich unseres Erachtens auch um das Beste auf Baleal.
Die Strände neben der Insel sind bei Surfern sehr beliebt, und der Parkplatz vor der einspurigen Zufahrt in Ferrel gleicht zu jeder Jahreszeit einem internationalen Surf-Camp.
Es gibt zahlreiche Strandbuden und Snack-Bars, die ihr Angebot auf diese Zielgruppe zugeschnitten haben: Fast Food und Snacks zu möglichst günstigen Preisen - auf kulinarische Ansprüche wird bei den TK-Convenience-Produkten verzichtet.
Das ist in der kleinen rustikalen Taverne angenehm anders. Das junge Team leistet sich offenbar eine Köchin, die tagesfrisch zubereitete regionale Küche zu moderaten Preisen anbietet.
Der Preis für die Gerichte ist nur unwesentlich höher, als die der Fast Food-Gerichte in den Strandbars. Sehr schön ist, daß hier von 12.00h bis 22.00h durchgehend Speisen angeboten werden - ideal für die hungrigen Surfer in Baleal.
Ein gemütliches rustikales Restaurant mit erstaunlich untouristischem Speisenangebot.
Der junge Service ist freundlich und locker.
Wir hatten als Starter hausgemachte Kabeljau-Küchlein - erstklassige Hausfrauenküche
Die Venusmuscheln aus der Region sind etwas teurer, aber der Geschmack und die Konsistenz sind deutlich besser als bei TK-Produkten aus Fernost.
Die Curry-Garnelen mit Reis wurden in einer sehr gut zubereiteten und gewürzten hausgemachten Soße serviert - das Lorbeerblatt darin ist ein zuverlässiger Hinweis, daß es kein Fertigprodukt war.
Auch die portugiesische Creme mit zermalenen Plätzchen war ein sehr leckeres Dessert.
Die zudem sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtete kleine Taverne- die Wände sind mit Deckeln von Weinkisten und schwarz/weiß Fotos von Baleal und der Atlantikküste dekoriert- ist für einen kleinen Imbiß und eine vollständige gleichermaßen geeignet.

Recht kleiner Laden, der aber die Leckersten Gerichte hat, die wir in Baleal / Ferrel gegessen haben. Man kann keine Plätze reservieren, deswegen muss man auch schon Mal 30 Minuten auf seinen Tisch warten. Sehr zu empfehlen sind die "Shrimps in Champaign" sowie die Chorautoplatte als Vorspeise.

Lovely well cooked food and very friendly service. We both had the vegetarian option which was delicious and difficult to find. The fish dishes looked equally good. The house red was extremely drinkable.

Very tasty clams, we ate them in probably less than 2 minutes...! The vinaigrette mussels were okay. I was expecting local mussels and not green lipped mussels from New Zealand... The steak was amazing. The shrimp curry was good, but I’d probably go for the octopus next time. The service was quick and staff was friendly. They took Maestro card payments. We had a table in the semi-outdoor area at the corner: unbeatable views there on both beaches.

The wait is worth wile! For every day of your stay :) Simple traditional dishes created with fresh ingredients, cooked with care. Tuna and octopus are must haves next to one of the wines on their carefully chosen list.

Mais uma vez me aconteceu encontrar um restaurante com bons produtos e depois conseguirem estragar tudo. Pedimos uns mexelhões de vinagrete que estavam bons e pedimos um bifeda vazia que era excelente, macio, desfazia-se na boca, mas os temperos com natas ... Está carne, só com umas pedrinhas paulista de sal, hummmmm. Também não gostei da carta de vinhos.

Toda vez que vou a Portugal volto à Taberna do Ganhão. Pequenino mas com comida excelente e atendimento cuidadoso e cordial. Vale a pena esperar se tiver espera. O polvo grelhado é o melhor que já comi.

Que sea el único, con carta, no quiere decir q sea el mejor. De precio, los platos principales, caros, en comparación con otros restaurantes ...
Hay q esperar bastante a sentarse (no hay reserva y te pasas una hora sentada esperando) y luego lleva otra hora comer. Lo único, la carne, q respecto del resto de Portugal y para los de chuleta .. muy buena (16€). No hay bodega. Vino de la casa en frasquiña
Les superan los clientes.
Bueno para los que comen una ensaladilla o hamburguesa seguro q es barato pero al margen del sitio ...

Excelente comida a un precio muy razonable. Fui a cenar con unos amigos, dos de los cuales habían estado previamente, y nos encantó a todos.
De entrante probamos el pulpo, una ración generosa y muy bien cocinado. De platos principales pedimos ventresca de atún y carne a la brasa. La ventresca estaba espectacular. La carne, por ponerle un pero, estaba ligeramente más hecha de lo queme gusta a mi, pero entiendo que en otros países no tienen la tradición de comerla tan cruda como nosotros. La calidad del producto en todos los casos muy buena.
Para acabar pedimos la panacota que, aunque se asemejaba más a un yogur, estaba muy buena. Visita obligada si vas a Peniche.

Deux fois ...deux problemes. Il y a 6 mois environ, j etais en terrasse et avais demande de changer de table vers un espace disponible en raison du froid (accompagne d un enfant de 3 ans). Ceci m a ete sechement refuse. Aujourd hui je me suis presente personnellement pour reserver une table pour deux (etant accomagne cette fois ci d une personne agee) et j ai ete fraichement econduit.....dommage.
Duas vezes problematicas, ha 6 meses me recusaram um troca de mesa enquanto estava no frio com minha netinha no terraco...hoje se recusaram a reservar uma mesa enquanto estava com uma pessoa idosa (apesar de eu ter me apresentado pessoalmente.

Отличная таверна. Расположение просто великолепное. Еда и сервис на высоком уровне. Столик лучше бронировать заранее, даже не в сезон, иначе прийдется ждать освободившегося, а это может занять много времени. И ожидания оправданы. Тут действительно уютно и невероятно вкусно. Персонал очень дружественный, что дополняет атмосферу. Рекоменд.

Came here for an evening meal because of the excellent reviews and I wasn’t disappointed!
The place is in an excellent position overlooking the beaches and surf, the service was excellent with very good English and helpfulness. Plus good Wi-fi.
I did go early to get a table and it did fill up quickly. Limited but very good menu choice - I had baked octopus and a side salad plus some house white. The food was absolutely amazing, the wine not quite as good, so you may want to pick from the menu.
Very good value for money as the whole lot came to just over €20 - fully recommend!

Es difícil pasar por Baleal y no comer en Taberna, el servicio me encantó, solo agregaría alguna opción vegetariana, ya que en el menú solo cuentas con un plato. Buen vino, buenos postres. Totalmente recomendable

Excelente restorant, recomendado 100%, pedimos un pulpo que estaba de 1 a 10, 10...camarones al curry 8, para los niños pollo con papas muy bueno, y una carne uruguaya espectacular. Postres muy sabrosos. Venimos viajando desde Francia por la costa y este es uno de los mejores restoranes.

Unfassbar gute Küche für sehr faire Preise, wirklich wirklich gut. Wir waren zweimal da und haben sowohl Vorspeisen als auch Hauptspeise genossen. Der chocolate almond cake war Der perfekte Abschluss. Das Restaurant kann ich wirklich jedem nur empfehlen.

Nettes Personal. Leckeres Essen, v.a. Tunfisch war hervorragend! Vermutlich das beste Lokal in der Umgebung, dafür spricht auch die Anzahl der Menschen, die bereit sind auf einen Tisch zu warten.

Sou frequentador da praia do Baleal em muito motivado pela leitura de OS PESCADORES de Raul Brandão. É na verdade (talvez) a mais linda praia da terra/Pátria portuguesa. Isto tudo a propósito na Taberna do Ganhão. Fui por lá pensando ser um Ganhão de Estremoz (onde a cozinha dos mesmos Ganhões é também fabulosa), mas este cavalheiro Ganhão é de Ferrel ali bem próximo onde os democratas saídos do 25 de Abril logo pensaram erguer uma central nuclear. Felizmente o maligno evento borregou. Agora as comidas: Entradas: apenas fui no pão (excelente) manteiga e uma taça de vinho tinto da região do Dão. Quanto a comer: batatas bravas (no ponto) e uns excelentes ovos com farinheira (nota máxima) e reforço de vinho do Dão. Por momentos esqueci que estava no Baleal mas julguei-me a degustar a cozinha dos ganhões no Alentejo. Quanto a contas, achei a preço. Volto um dia destes para reforçar a nota máxima de 0-5 são 5 e fazer nova degustação. Prossigam!

1.º Perguntei ao balcão do restaurante a um jovem de barba mal aparada, óculos de massa e ar de intelectual da esquerda caviar - "sff me informava a que horas começavam a servir refeições?" Respondeu-me que «eu tinha de esperar pois encerravam às 22h...» Logo para começo de conversa, falta de educação, e de profissionalismo. Quem está ou sofre de enfado, não pode nem deve atender público. Só porque desejei de novo degustar os mesmos pratos, ali voltei eram 12:45. Estive até às 13:40 aguardando pelas batatas bravas e pelos ovos com farinheira. Tempo em demasia e sem qualquer explicação para o facto. Quanto a sabores ambos os pitéus estavam no ponto, mas em época alta de praia, não voltarei a sentar-me na Taberna do Ganhão. Também não perguntarei por horários, e não gastarei o meu tempo com ganapos que evidenciam assomos de malcriadice. Vão para a escolinha, depois tentem atender ao balcão ou à mesa!

Excellent food! We went there every evening and enjoyed everything. Absolutely delicious was the choped tuna with orange sauce, the codfish, the shrimps (spicy and champagne) and the octopus. Super friendly service!

Wow! One of the best restaurants we've been to in Portugal. I had the Tuna steak that was made just perfect. My husband had the curry shrimp and the kids had the chicken breast, everyone enjoyed each and every bite! We also shared the baked potatoes. Baked potatoes will never be the same after this dish! End as an ending for an awesome dinner, every dessert was just perfect!

Nous avons mangé à la Taberna pour la première fois, c’est un sans faute ! Pas de réservation, premier arrivé premier servi.
J’ai pris le poulpe, il est servi avec des pomme de terre, des tomates et une petite salade le tout assaisonné d’un vinaigre velouté balsamique. Un vrai délice !
En dessert j’ai pris un gâteau au chocolat et aux amandes, il était bon et peu coûteux.

Wirklich ein Highlight auf unserer Reise von Lissabon nach Porto. Die Taberna überzeugt mit authentischer Atmosphäre, einem tollen Blick (auf Surfer & Strand) und vor allem mit hervorragendem Essen. Das Thunfisch-Steak ist unglaublich frisch und köstlich, eine absolute Empfehlung!

Oh my g, how great was this dining experience. Would love to try their entire menu. But in case of doubt (or limited stomach capacity), go for the shrimps as a starter and the octopus for a main. Can't do wrong. Lastly, make sure to wrap things up with their lime mousse. Outstanding taste and good value for money too.

Best place to eat, the staff is very friendly and helpfull. the food is really amazing, great portions of seafood, very fresh direct from the fischermen, the place is also very comfortable, traditional, beautiful place, easy going, have some great seafood with a glass of coooooooooold beer or rose wine, enjoy the deserts, enjoy all this after a great day of surfing on one of the beaches left or right :-) we love this place, price & food are fantastic

Quero dar 10 estrelas. Existem locais fantásticos que merecem 5* mas, e os locais soberbos? fora do comum? como nunca vistos? A comida é tratada como um material para um artista. Não tem muita variedade mas experimentamos o atum flamejado e o polvo à lagareiro e... meus amigos, nunca comi nada assim!!! O artista da cozinha transformou estes frutos do mar em maravilhosos estímulos sensoriais. É de comer e berrar por mais... Parabéns ao patrão daquela cozinha. Por favor, quero dar 10 estrelas!!!

Fatal! Hemos llegado súper pronto (la cocina abría en 10 minutos) y aun así hemos tardado dos horas en comer. Mas de media hora esperando cada plato. Encima no había pulpo (según el camarero aun no estaba cocido). Poca variedad y la calidad buena pero tampoco nada del otro mundo. No lo recomendaría.

A comida variou entre o razoável da salada de bacalhau e das amêijoas, que estavam com demasiado sal mas que eram muito frescas, e o muito bom do crumble de maçã e dos ovos com farinheira. O vinho Branco da casa é doce à atenção de quem prefere antes os vinhos mais secos. 22€ por pessoa.

Gemütliches Lokal mit leckerem Essen. Wir hatten perfekt auf den Punkt gebratenen Thunfisch und ein sehr leckerer Oktopus. Vorab hausgemachte Chips, Muscheln und die Chorizoplatte mit leckerem Schafskäse. Alles angerichtet mit perfekt abgestimmten Kräutern und Ölen, sowie Balsamico. Empfehlenswert!

A antiga tasca e mercearia deu lugar a um restaurante algo sofisticado mas com um ambiente simpático e informal. A sopa de peixe é fabulosa. Os pregos são muito bem servidos. O atendimento é competente e atento. A explanada é pequena mas muito agradável (apesar de ficar junto a um ponto confluente de trânsito automóvel). Muito recomendável.
