Petiscos = tapas. 6,20€ por tres trocitos de bacalao frito con pimientos es un poco caro. Se sirve en una pequeña fuente de barro de 9 cms de diámetro. Si, además , en el comedor a mi lado hay un niño berreando (sin que sus padres hagan nada para evitarlo ) y un grupo de señoras turistas que hablan a gritos, pues comí en 10 minutos y me fui. Además , la señal de wifi es mala y no pude aislarme oyendo música con mis auriculares. Los camareros , sí, muy amables.

Köstlich Tapas, ganz ordentliches Bier (haben Imperial gehabt, gibt noch 2 andere Sorten), reiche Weinauswahl mit Schwerpunkt auf jungen Weinen und preisgünstigeren Portweinen, aber auch ein paar ältere Weine mit volleren Körper (Hier 2015er).
Schönes Ambiente, guter Service und sehr freundliches Personal, das mir allerdings - sehr höflich - die Illusion nahm, 6 Tage portugiesisch würden mich dann doch in den wenigen Worten sicherer gemacht haben. Doch da ich das 'b' in "bica" eher wie ein 'p' aussprach, hätte man mir so was wie Joints gebracht, hätte man sie gehabt . Kleiner Fehler mit groooßem Unterschied .
Essen , Getränke und Service prima. Empfehlenswerr.

Wonderful place. Despite being in one of the most touristy spots in Portugal, we were in for a treat at affordable prices. There were so many tasty things on the menu that it was hard to make a choice. The staff are very friendly. We will definitely come back next time we're in Sintra.

I highly recommend eating in this restaurant. The staff is really friendly and the place is very simple but very nicely decorated, it created a very home like atmosphere.
We stopped here after visiting Pena castle. Definitely try the cheese with ham, it’s the right amount of melted state, ready to be spread on a crispy bread. Everything we tried was extremely delicious, octopus, the shrimps with garlic and of course chorizo.
They have a large variety of wine so definitely try at least, they will be able to advise which wine goes well with what you ordered.
The prices are acceptable, not too expensive, especially when the quality and taste of the dishes is so good.

Food was truly excellent and the prices were reasonable. Dinged only slightly because of inattentive service; We waited almost an hour for dessert, and this was in the late afternoon. However everything tasted amazing.

Highly recommended! Friendly staff and cozy place with tasty food. We came here in the late afternoon after a long walk in the castles, and the place helped cheering you back up for sure :)

Food was mediocre. I don't understand why everyone is saying such good things about this place. Octopus salad and ribs tasted bad. I'd review it with 3/5 for the food taste. Unfortunately one of us got food poisoning from food. Most probably due to the mushrooms. So pls avoid the dish and if possible the place. It is unacceptable to get food poisoning from a place you pay to eat

Un auténtico acierto. Carta sencilla pero con comida muy rica y presentada con mucho mimo. El choco con alioli negro estaba espectacular. Dejad espacio para los postres, porque están riquísimos. Nosotros probamos la tarta de queso y la mousse de requesón, y nos quedamos sin habla. Muy buena atención y el local es muy bonito.

Buenísimo todo!! Dudo que acertasemos con los platos, creo que todo lo hacen brutal!! No me acuerdo del nombre de los patos, pero os dejo las fotos. El postre con apariencia de planta en maceta, sublime. Bien de precio y trato amable. Local acogedor. Lo tiene todo!

Restaurante para turismo.
Comimos una familia de 5, no es caro, diría que bastante accesible al presupuesto; pero por 57 euros no podemos exigir mucho. La comida tiene el aspecto y sabor de ser congelada, el único plato que no lo parecia (congelado) de lo que pedimos fue la hamburguesa. La lechuga y tomates cherry son frescos.
El personal muy agradable y con buen servicio.
Local muy bonito.
Si la comida no fuera tan mala (nuggets pollo, patatas fritas, morcilla y pulpo) sería un buen sitio.

Its off the beaten path and the best local gem! We saw a YouTuber review it, then read the Google reviews and had to try it ourselves. Ah-mazing! Did not disappoint. We recommend trying as many of the small plates as possible. Our favs: the octopus, chorizo, the baked cheese with smoked ham. Little tip, don't order olives. They came complimentary with our dishes ans we had more than enough. Very family friendly and such an authentic food experience.

El servicio es muy bueno y rápido adaptándose al idioma si no eres de la zona.
La comida está rica y bien presentada.
La decoración y el ambiente es original y no le doy las 5 estrellas porque por lo general, los precios en Sintra son algo elevados para lo que ofrecen.

Muy buen sitio con comida muy buena!! Tapas no muy abundantes pero muy ricas. Nos pedimos pulpo buñuelos de embutido patatas crema de verduras y queso azeitao más dos bebidas y un café y nos ha salido por 28€ . El pulpo y el queso buenísimo!! Recomendable

Delicious food and service was friendly. Prices very reasonable. We had the portobello mushroom with goat cheese and smoked ham, potato wedges, egg with Portuguese sausage and the fried cuttlefish. All were excellent and decent sized portions for tapas. Mushrooms were stellar. The kids had freeze squeezed lemonade with a cinnamon stick which was also stellar.

Our tour guide recommended. Nice hidden quiet place. Lemonade: mildly sweet and soothing. Veg soup: nice pumpkin soup, but a little less salty would be perfect. Cod croquettes: wonderful. Matches well with the black olives paste on top. Chorizo sausages : well grilled. pork cheek: texture is like braises pork belly(buta kakuni). Overall a bit salty but good.

Πολύ όμορφο εστιατόριο. Διατηρεί το παλιο στην διακόσμηση, έχει πολύ καλή εξυπηρέτηση και νόστιμα φαγητά. Το χταπόδι να δοκιμάσετε οπωσδήποτε και μην ξεχάσετε στο τέλος το γλυκό με την κολοκύθα που σερβίρεται με φρέσκο παγωτό.

Adorei! I was very happy to make this first try after rejecting all the touristy places in Sintra. The place is really cozy and the atmosphere is great, service is good and the food is a real twist. Didn't expect that. Excellent to share well-thought tapas in company.

Such a great experience! From the moment you walk in feels like entering a different era! Modest, friendly and homey. Inexpensive and delicious. It's a tapas place, small dishes, super friendly staff, we enjoyed it a lot! Little secret gem of Sintra. Gotta experience it.
And if you do, pls go to the toilet, it's hilarious! Won't reveal anything!

Pedimos unas sopas las cuales venían en ración muy generosa. Las tapas no son muy económicas, pero están muy ricas. Pedimos buñuelos de bacalao y bacalao frito, raciones para 1 persona con poco hambre. La crema de queso espectacular.

신트라에서 식사를 하시게 된다면 꼭 가보시길 추천합니다!! 음식이 전혀 짜지도 않고 생각보다 양도 알차며 예쁘게 플레이팅 되어 나옵니다.
다른 데서 문어요리 많이 먹어봤는데 저는 여기서 먹은 문어가 가장 부드럽고 맛있었습니다. 애매한 시간(영업 종료 1시간 전)에 들어갔는데 뭐라 눈치 주는 것도 전혀 없었고, 타파스집이라 해서 음식 양이 많지 않을 거라 생각하고 이것저것 시켰었는데 너무 다 괜찮아서 1시간 동안 와인을 2병이나 먹었습니다ㅋㅋ 서빙해주시는 분이 나이 좀 지긋하신 남자분이셨는데 무척 신사적이고 설명도 친절하게 해주셔서 마치 고급 레스토랑에 온 기분이었습니다. 이곳 덕분에 신트라에서의 기억이 아주 좋게 남았네요ㅎ 다른 분들은 어떻게 느끼실지 모르겠지만, 신트라에 몇 안되는 식당 중에 간단한 식사라도 맘 편히 하실 곳을 고르고 계신다면 한 번 쯤 가보시길 추천드려요~~

Great spot for lunch while exploring Sintra. It’s more off the beaten path, so it was less crowded and had way better food than the more touristy alternatives. We had some tapas: croquettes, cheese & fig, chicken wings, and salad. All was delicious

Great little place very busy as it is reasonable and charming.
The manager went out of his way to accommodate us even though we did not have a reservation.
I suggest taking a lot of small plates to share.

Nice airy dining room, and we liked the decor, particularly the mismatched chairs. They seem to specialise in petiscos, the Portuguese equivalent of tapas, so lot of smaller dishes. There was also a kids menu, which the three kids in our group seemed quite happy with. I am writing this a couple of weeks hence and actually can't remember what I ate, as a vegetarian Portugal in general was a dead loss for me. However the rest of the group were happy so I think I made the right choice in suggesting this place (I found it via the Foodies card in Google Maps, very useful in this situation as I was really out of my depth).
Our waiter was very friendly and spoke very good English, although I did feel the way at the end of the meal he announced service was not included was ever so slightly uncouth. A little note with the bill or something would have seemed a more delicate way of handling it to me.

Super restaurant avec une belle décoration, décalée et simple à la fois : parfait pour manger le midi entre les différentes visite de la région de Sintra. Petit plus, la carte à cocher est également disponible en français pour ceux qui ne veulent pas tenter l’aventure du choix à l’aveugle. Service parfait et surtout hyper sympathique ! Nous recommandons donc ce petit restaurant idéal pour découvrir certaines spécialités portugaises.

Pedimos chocolate caliente y nos presentaron chocolate en polvo casi todo leche. Además natural, ni siquiera caliente. Lo mismo el té, para nada caliente. Todo un fiasco. La comida tenía buena pinta pero solo fuimos a tomar algo.

Very good place to have really fresh and tasty tapas. The portions are big for a good price. I really liked the fried shrimps with garlic. The location is really good and traditional. The toilet design is really funny.

Menu jest raczej nierówne. Świetne desery i zimne przystawki (trudno zepsuć szynkę i ser). Bardzo dobre krewetki w sosie i sałatka z ośmiornicy. W karcie nie ma samych gotowanych warzyw, jest za to wegetariański burger, z którego poprosiłam o oddzielne warzywa i bułkę- koszt: 10.70 EUR !! Kuchnia raczej z tych ciężkawych.

Maybe they had a off day tonight, because some dishes where cold, and didn't come at the same time. The taste was good. We ordered later some dessert but the coffee came first. Very crowded and loud place. I hope next time better.

Wonderful place, the walk through the streets to get there was lovely. Good selection of little plates for vegetarians, vegans, meat and fish eaters - all brought out on cute dishes perfect for sharing. Ordering is easy using a paper checkbox menu. We loved the homemade beer, sangria, pickled carrots, salad dressing, and tuna sandwich. Say hello to Alice the cat! Price for three veggie plates, olives and a beer was under €20.

Tapas everywhere... It was the first restaurant we found in Sintra, we were the first customers... 10 minutes later it was packed. No need to say more, except that the Pork Cheeks and the Marico Salad are the best Tapas of the place.

Nous y avons mangé quelques tapas et un sandwiches, et ce fût une réussite ! Plats, desserts et boissons pour une cinquantaine d'euros à 2, assez raisonnable pour la qualité dans l'assiette et du service.
Tout nous a semblé être fait maison, et servi rapidement. Les serveurs sont très sympas.
La bière artisanale est très bonne, proche d'une légère Pale Ale.
À visiter pour se restaurer après une visite des palais de la ville.

A good place to grab some lunch in Sintra. The dishes were well presented and pretty good. The pica-pau was probably my favourite as the pickles go well with the beef.

Tried a couple tapas and the house white wine, all were excellent. Definitely recommend! Reserve ahead to guarantee a spot as it will get busy (even in winter time - to avoid disappointment). Good serving sizes, friendly staff and waiters speak English. We will be returning ☺️

The high reviews here are no joke - everything is delicious here. From the octopus, cuttlefish, and fish to the wings and ribs, it's so good. We came here for lunch midway through our palace hopping lol, and it truly was delicious. My friend and I also ordered soup - caldo verde for me (delicious) and tomato soup for friend (she loved it) - just yummy. Washed it all down with a nice vinho verde and just had an exceptional time.
Atmosphere is cute - not quite sure how to describe it beyond a boho tea house country cottage - you'll have to come to see for yourself, and enjoy yourself a nice meal :).

El local muy chulo, exótico. El servicio muy rápido. Las tapas bien, se come bien, pero poca cantidad, entre 3 pedimos 4 + dos acompañantes. El primer pan que te ofrecen no te lo cobran, en otros lugares sí. No sé si te cobran ya si pides más aparte del primero, porque no pedimos más. Precio-calidad bien, en comparación a los demás lugares que son bastante más caros. Puntos negativos: la bebida cara, 2.50 una coca-cola. Recomendable ir a comer si vas a Sintra.

For a heavily touristy place, this place had excellent food and service for a reasonable price.
The pork cheeks, and prawns were excellent. Bread was free as well, which was a nice touch.
Service and menus are available in english as well.

다른 가게들 호객행위 피해서 왔는데 종업원분들도 정말 친절하시고 가게 분위기도 좋다. 음식 가격도 적당한 수준. 양도 적절하고 플레이팅 거의 스페인 포르투갈에서 본 요리중 순위권으로 깔끔하게 해주신다. 솔직히 신트라 오면서 점심 해결에 대해 크게 기대도 없었고 그냥 바가지만 안쓰자는 마인드였는데 인테리어나 음식 플레이팅까지 신경 써주는 곳 찾아서 매우 좋았다. 맛도 물론 좋음. 좀 찾기 어려운 곳에 있어서 손님이 많지 않은게 안타까웠을 정도였다. 다른 호객행위하는 가게 가지 마시고 여기서 점심해결하세요.

Not a bad place to eat, but service from the female staff was a bit lacking. Also they disappeared with the money for the bill and never returned with the change. Not a big deal as we would have left a tip, but not a very nice thing to do on their part.
Over all food is nice, clean restaurant, good presentation. But put off by poor and disrespectful service.

Este restaurante foi um achado. Estávamos passeando despretensiosamente quando nos deparamos com um pátio e algumas mesas ao lado de fora, num ambiente bem despojado. Bingo! Comida muito gostosa e um jeito diferente de fazer o pedido: o cardápio é descartável, uma folha sulfite, onde você marca o que deseja comer. Destaque para a sobremesa cheesecake de morango.

Hier gibt es echt leckeres Essen (B.z. Tapas, also kleine Gerichte die man sehr gut teilen kann), welches auch sehr schnell kommt. Die Bedienungen sind sehr nett und erklären wirklich alles was man nicht versteht oder was nicht eindeutig auf der Karte (einen Zettel auf dem man selber alles ankreuzen musste um zu bestellen) stand. Außerdem waren die Bedienungen untereinander gut abgesprochen und es gab sogar eine Bedienung, die uns bedient hat, welche sehr gut Deutsch gesprochen hat (Paulo).

We couldn't have found a more perfect idyllic spot for lunch, after spending 4 hours walking around the palace and castle. Enjoyed sangria and tapas overlooking the quite backstreets of Sintra. Thoroughly enjoyed the chorizo and garlic prawns, and service was very good.

Absolute gem of a place. We ordered no less than a dozen dishes and each was excellent. We especially enjoyed the fried chicken, garlic fried shrimp, octopus and pork cheek. Even the French fries were perfect. All dishes were fresh, authentic and beautifully presented. Super reasonable prices of about 3-5 euros a dish.

Amazing restaurant, very reasonably priced that’s a little tucked away from the main tourist drag in Sintra. Outdoor seating is available and the restaurant is surprisingly very spacious inside. We walked in without a reservation close to 1pm. It’s a very inviting place with warm staff and friendly and efficient service.
Bread is on da house!!!! Ordered 4 dishes to share. The chorizo was amazing and also liked the presentation (chorizo pop!). Octopus was our favorite. Chips come w a dipping sauce that also works well with the chorizo pop. The cod and chick pea salad was good but was our least favorite.

Apesar de fugir a sete pés do demasiado cheio centro histórico (e turístico) da vila de Sintra (até porque trabalho lá), há que abrir a excepção para a Tascantiga. O conceito é simples, petiscos. Pegaram no vasto manancial de petiscos da gastronomia portuguesa, juntaram-lhe uma pitada de criatividade mas sem exagero e sem descaracterizarem os pratos. A isto, juntaram um espaço amplo com uma descontraída decoração retro e um atendimento simpático, correcto e sem demoras excepcionais e encontram a fórmula certa para um restaurante 5*.
Já comi várias vezes neste restaurante, sempre em época baixa, pelo que desconheço a qualidade de produto e serviço nas enchentes de verão, mas da minha experiência, recomendo a Tascantiga a 100%.

Cansado de tanto sitio trampa en las zonas turísticas de Portugal, llegamos a este sitio guiados por las reseñas de google, sin duda un acierto.El lugar está muy bien situado, a escasos metros de la zona concurrida es un lugar bastante tranquilo y acogedor, los platos están a medio camino entre plato y tapa, tanto por precio como por cantidad, los que pedimos estaban increíbles, y con este formato se adaptan muy bien a todos los bolsillos y estómagos. Los precios van en línea con la zona (30€/ 2 pers) pero el trato, el ambiente y la calidad de la comida están muy por encima, sin duda repetiría si algún dia volvemos por aquí.

Depende de lo que pidáis. Las tapas son pequeñas. Pedimos ensalada de queso d cabra con naranja (nos dejó indiferentes), gambas al ajillo (muy ricas), carrillera (horrible, dura), chorizos (pasables), champiñones con queso d cabra y jamón (muy buenos) y tarta de queso (deliciosa). Todo esto para 2 personas con bebida algo más de 40euros. Nos sentaron muy rápido a pesar de ser las 3 y fueron amables. Para el postre esperamos más de la cuenta. Los baños son muy curiosos.

Everything was "mehh". Octopus too oily. Salads cheese without dressing and without real taste. Chicken wings without proper sauce. Pumpkin cake just out of microwave was collapsing on the plate. Absolutely horrendous place and service. I am a resident in Lisbon, and I was in Sintra to film a travel documentary and was planning to feature this place, but decided against it. They made me wait for so long, brought a cake too long, brought the wrong coffee, had a strand of hair on my juice and when I complained, no apology at all but saying I am wrong about time, both owner and chef ganging on my table and told me it wasn't that long despite waiting 30 minutes for a coffee and cake! Offered me the meal as complimentary, but then went on to insult me that I shouldn't do this to other restaurants. Wow. This place is arrogant, abusive to its customers and behaves like they literally serve no customers, especially someone who was actually ready to feature them in my film. Forget it.

Pequeños platos deliciosos
Fuimos dos veces y tuvimos la suerte de poder comer en la terraza (muy muy agradable).
El pulpo laminado y los langostinos están buenisimos, diría que los mejores que probamos en Sintra. Ricas las ensaladas y el surtido de quesos con miel y nueces. Probamos también la carrillera (bien) y el tartar (normalito).El crumble es maravilloso. La tarta de mousse de chocolate bien, pero no para tirar cohetes.
Buena selección de vinos.
Los platillos parecen pequeños pero engañan. Servicio inmejorable.

Comida buena y variada.
Platos pequeños, pero a un precio ajustado.
La terraza del restaurante es muy acogedora.
Por ponerle algún pero las patatas fritas están buenas, pero son congeladas.
No te cobran el pan que te ponen.

Decepcionante. No sé de dónde sacan la puntuación tan alta. Tapas de JUGUETE, pequeñísimas para el precio que tienen. La hamburguesa es ridícula, no trae ni pan...con eso lo digo todo.
Precios caros: agua 3,70€ o cuenco pequeño de aceitunas 2,70€
No repetiré ni lo recomendaré

Its like home the outside of the restaurant. Litle bit leaning but not so much. They have english menu where you can order with checking what you want and just pass it to the waiter. Its a very brilliant solution with that much tourists.
The food was a litle bit small from outside but we almost can't ate it all. They serve some bread wich was lite bit overpriced, small cost for no tipping, what we heard is not appropriate. Besides that the food overall was very tasty and filling.

Based on the other reviews I'd like to think we were just unlucky? The food was dry and chewy, and the sangria was the worst I can remember. Unfortunately, the worst food and drinks we had in Portugal, and one of the worst value because of the touristy location.

As I was walking up the steep hills and many staircases to get to this establishment, I kept thinking to myself, "I hope this is worth it." It is not, at least for black people. I arrived shortly before 3pm to only be told the restaurant is closed for an hour (after a couple had just been seated). Strange as I saw no mention of this in any of the reviews, but after hearing "closed for an hour" in another city in Portugal, I knew what this meant. Instead I walked to a restaurant nearby where I asked the waiter if Tascantiga closes in the afternoon (to confirm what I already knew) and he informed me they only close in the evening. Not surprised. Furthermore, no mention of this on the restaurant's website and/or social media pages. The restaurant's discriminatory and racist practice is unacceptable and it's absolutely disgusting to have been treated the way I was.

Local informal, bien decorado con muebles antiguos, muy moderno. Buen servicio, hablan varios idiomas, además de ser muy rápidos. La comida está bien: Lo que llaman tapas, raciones pequeñas que sirven todas a la vez, y de las que recomiendo el pulpo y las carrilleras (Les faltaba algo de melosidad, pero me faltó pan para la deliciosa salsa con la que se acompañan). No faltan las sopas de verduras., Sabrosas. El plato fuerte lo componen los sándwiches, aunque al menos la de bacalao es más bien una tosta. Buena selección de vinos portugueses. Yo repetiría.

Sintra tem atrações incríveis e no quesito gastronomia não é diferente. A Tascantiga fica em um cantinho charmoso, com ambiente interno e externo. O menu é bem variado, com personalidade e em vários idiomas. Os valores não são os mais em conta, mas as porções são bem generosas. Desde um almoço até um lanche, recomendo demais!

After visiting the Palace Pena and the castle, fancied a light lunch, so on googleing found this charming lovely restaurant on the hill. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The food we ordered shrimp in garlic, cheese like camberbet with ham were all so delicious. The waiter recommended the red wine with our meal and the Portuguese wine did not disappoint at all A great restaurant with wonderful staff. Will be going again when back in Sintra.

Comida muy buena, un menú bastante completo y disponible en varios idiomas. Fuimos en hora punta y la velocidad para servir fue genial.
El precio muy muy muy competitivo, dos personas comen bien por 11 euros cada uno (en nuestro caso fueron 3 tapas un acompañamiento y una botella grande de agua).

Local creative tasca in Sintra. I recommend step by and put your name at the waiting list for sitting because takes a while for a seat. But anyway worth the waiting. Good plantbased options.

The place is quite nice and it's excellent for a lunch after visit the Pena Palace and the Castle. The food is very, very good and the waiters are welcoming. I definitely recommend this place, is probably one of the best you can find in Sintra. Don't miss the desserts, they are fantastic! The prices are quite low and fair for what you get.

chouette endroit, tout joli en haut d'une petite côte, un peu à l'écart. La terrasse est attirante mais l'intérieur est cosy aussi. Carte de tapas originale mais pas dingue non plus. Comptez 2 choix par personne. Les vins sont agreables et le rapport qualité/prix correct, sans plus.

Lugar aconchegante, decoração elegante, ótimo atendimento e comida deliciosa. As tascas são pratos servidos em pequenas porções, o que possibilita experimentar vários pratos diferentes. Estávamos em quatro pessoas e pedimos quase o menu inteiro e tudo estava maravilhoso, difícil escolher o predileto.

Вышел из автобуса и вот он ресторан. Антуражный внутри, и оформление еды тоже необычное, уютное. Но порции маленькие (6 креветок в мисочке), я даже не поняла, что это основное блюдо, думала, закуски принесли. Еда вкусная. Рекомендую домашнее пиво и чипсы. Русскоговорящий официант, доброжелательное обслуживание. Получили удовольствие от посещения ресторана. Спасибо!

Einfach das bestes Tapas Restaurant, dass wir in Portugal gefunden haben: authentisch, schmackhaft, abwechslungsreich, freundlich und ein Konzept mit Augenzwinkern.
Super freundlich auch das Personal. Man soricht übrigens auch fließend Deutsch.
Zu empfehlen für Jung und Alt.

Located in the tranquil haven of Sintra the restaurant has an easy and friendly vibe. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced for its quality, very tourist friendly - waiters can also speak English and Spanish. For wine we tried the muscatel which was lovely and much better than in Lisbon. Spent a lovely couple of hours here eating and listening to the birds and would advice anyone to do the same. There isn’t as many vegan or gf options as desirable yet if you request I’m sure they would accommodate.

5 stars for service. 1 maybe 2 stars for food. They are really kind and are really trying their best. But I did not like the food and the high price tag that came with it. I'm a vegetarian, so maybe the meat is amazing, but my dishes were either very greasy or very dry. Sangria was OK tho. The restaurant was also very loud. Some curtains by the doors/windows or paintings on the wall would do wonders for the acoustics.

Just one street further on from the main cluster of restaurants and almost like it's in a different town altogether because of it, Tascantiga has lovely staff, big portions of their tapas and a fabulous patio. Full of quirky touches (the bathrooms are great!) this place is worth climbing just a little further. Super place!

Very nice place to eat, after visit the castle. Prices are reasonable and you can try different meals as they come in small portions. Mushrooms with goat cheese are excellent and cheesecake is delicious. Highly recommended place.

Great place! Small simple dishes with lots of good cuisine personality. I would strongly recommend this place whether you want to fill up your tummy or taste different things as the relationship price-size if more than fair.
Constructive criticism (for any place we visited in Portugal really) children also deserve a properly made meal, please let go of the frozen stuff!

My husband and I were turned away with our baby at 8 pm. When we asked if they were full for the whole evening, they said "yes because we have reservations coming". Blatant lie.
Five minutes later, I saw a huge group of American tourists go in and be offered a table if they were willing to wait for 40 minutes. I don't know if the reason for being turned away and lied to was because of racism or disliking babies in the restaurant, but either way it is discriminatory and unacceptable.

Je ne comprends pas tous ces avis positifs.
J’y ai mangé avec mon copain pour le dîner, on est gourmand et bon mangeur mais la franchement c’était sans intérêt. La nourriture est très grasse ca baigne dans l’huile, les crevettes et poulpes sont sans goût (a part celui de l’huile), on commande ce qu’ils appellent des patates frits fait pinson mais en fait c’est des chips, 3,5€ pour 10 chips ça fait cher. Le chorizo était tellement gras qu’on en avait mal au ventre. Bref, a part la sangria et l’eau pétillante on a été très déçu et un peu dégoûtés.

Decidimos visitar Sintra, pero elegimos el peor día. Llovía sin parar, lo que no ayuda mucho cuando viajas con dos perros, y sobre todo por Portugal. Sin embargo aquí nos dejaron entrar con Curro y Lola para comer en unas mesas altas que tienen al lado de la barra. Hemos comido genial. Nunca imaginé que un sitio de bocadillos y tapas tuviera tanta calidad de producto. El pulpo muy rico y los buñuelos de bacalao espectaculares, pero las estrellas son los bocadillos!! Y que decir de los postres, buenísimos!! En fin, no es comida típica pero merece la pena probar. Gracias a Pedro por hacernos un huequito con nuestros pequeñajos. Volveremos sin duda!!

The waiters were friendly and spoke multiple languages(french included) . The menu was very nicely done and in multiple languages. Each of us took multiple dishes(tapas) and we were all very satisfied by the taste, creativity and variety in each dish. We were able to eat different kind of fish, meat, mushrooms , ham, cheese. Desserts were also very tasty and we were surprised by the mixes. Overall very happy with the supper.

Ottima esperienza. Sintra è una cittadina molto turistica, ma questo locale pare conservare una certa autenticità, a partire dalla sala da pranzo, tutta in legno e colorata. Personale cordiale, cibo buono spesa nella media portoghese.

Nos dijeron que no tenían mesas, luego que sí pero dentro, luego que teníamos que esperar 1h. Total que después de tanto mareo nos fuimos.
