A convenient and quick place to do your laundry. They have 1 small and 3 medium size washing machine, and also 3 dryers. The place is staffed, but not all day.

Ótimo ambiente para lavar e secar as roupas no coração de Alfama

Unfortunately I have to change my review. On Saturday I used the service with the machine number 2 and didn’t have soap. So basically I lost one hour of my life and money, I wrote reporting the problem and according to them all the machines have soap. Plus the dryers are not drying like they used. Now you have to pay two times for dry your clothes. I will suggest you go to another place and don’t use this place

My washing machine countdown timer kept pausing itself. It took twice as long as advertised. No wifi because the self service machine didn't give a receipt. Not big issues. Still glad I found the place.

After the laundry machine took my money and having to move back and forth from the pay station and the machine, my money was taken and my clothes were not washed. I then called the number provided and was told to come to this address. After showing up to the address, nobody was there and they told me to come another day... I’ve walked 20 minutes up a hill only to be refused my money. This place is a pathetic excuse of a business, not to mention they overcharge for their service. DO NOT COME HERE

This wash station is ok. Would be better if they had more dryers. For your information. We did use the facility on a week day & in the morning

A lavagem foi eficiente, porém a secagem deixou um pouco a desejar, precisei colocar 2x para secar, pois a roupa não ficou seca de primeira.

Avoid and Find a Better Place to do Laundry We are visiting Lisbon for the month as nomads. We don't speak a lick of Portugese, it's our first time in Lisbon and in this culture. This review takes into consideration these facts.  Still, our experience here was largely negative. For the sake of your time, pick somewhere else. For why, keep reading.  Upon entering the washstation it seems nice enough. Clean and inviting with machines that look brand new. Then it all goes down hill. Consider my rating at 1.51 stars because I hate just giving one. It got my clothes clean and I guess that's all a washstation is supposed to do.  Having come here twice (to finish using the money I put on the card) here are several reasons why it's a place to avoid: 1) No place to sit. I'm writing this review currently while sitting on the ground against the washing machine. There is a small family with screaming kids across the way on the only bench. The kids seem nice enough but I'm afraid I'll be kicked soon. Oh well, not this place's fault other than the fact that I'm on the ground…  2) Compared to the laundry facilities in Chiang Mai, Thailand you'd expect Lisbon to be much better. Unfortunately those places were actually much nicer than this one. Might not be fair to compare to another country, but it still loses points.  3) The card system and how to actually use the laundry machines is extremely confusing. If you love reading reviews you'll notice another reviewer claims that you need a card to use the machines. And then the company response is that you don't. But then I was prompted on the machine to buy the card… it's not just a language barrier, it's a poorly set up system.  4) It costs 6,30 to do one load of laundry. ONE. I bought four pastries today for 6,20… way overpriced (the laundry not the pastries, they were delicious!). Drying costs 1,30ish for 11 minutes because clothes dry in 11 minutes?  5) There is no way to load detergent into the machine. It's automatic. Which is nice I guess? I'd rather buy it separate and add my own.  6) There are 4 washers and 3 dryers. Maybe the fourth one is hidden next to the extra seating.  7) I didn't get WiFi the first time because I didn't print my receipt. Whoops. Flash update!! I got the receipt.. The WiFi didn't work. Did I expect it to? 8) The laundry card costs 5 dollars to get. Again, they say you don't need it and maybe you don't, but that's not clear. I'm not an idiot. Usually.  9) Did I mention the kids that were taunting me because I was sitting on the floor? Oh yah, I did.  10) I'm adding a tenth because I feel better rounding it out. If you've read this far in I'm super impressed in your dedication to finding the perfect laundry service center. Kudos.  The tenth reason I'd avoid this is because I can't help but feel like I should have paid for someone just to come here and do this for me. Oh well, live and learn. Guess I'm starting Uber Laundry.

Expensive and the WiFi does not work. They make you pay 5€ for a reloadable card and there is only one machine for small loads. I’ll try other places Update: their response to my review is fairly condescending. I bought the card because I did enough laundry that I needed to get the discounted rate even with the five euro charge. The assumption that I can’t understand the directions is insulting. What I’m saying is that a 5 euro charge is inflated when the typical price for a tiny piece of plastic is 1,2 euro. It’s greedy. And most reloadable cards are returnable but this one is not.

Great little self service laundry in the heart of Alfama district. Instructions are in several languages and WiFi password is printed on the receipt. Facilities are very clean. Should be everything a person needs!

First of all, we are foreigner. We stayed in Lisbon only 2 days. When we ask money back (because of machine problem) to the manager, he said he will send the money if I send email to him. However, he changed his saying. The only way I can get the money back is visit their store. We are traveler and already left the country. If he say like that in the phone, I will apply that. After I ask him send the money in online, he told me same thing like before. Because he already knows we left the country. I am angry with that attitude. I recommend u guys do not use there.

We used the self service washers. There are only four washing machines and two dryers. Two washing machines are smaller (8kg) and reasonably priced. The middle one is slightly larger (12kg) and costs €6.70. The largest one (18kg) costs €10 per wash. If the smaller ones are full, you either wait over half an hour, or you're forced to use the overpriced monsters. Detergent and softener are automatically dispensed directly into the machine, so if you want to use something less full of chemicals it's not an option. If you want to use the wifi, don't forget to get a receipt when you pay for the washing - the password is printed there.

Saved us from a rain shower, though can't say anything about it except free WiFi with a washing receipt.
