Crooked business. I was charged 190 euros as deposit for road toll and was told they would refunded the balance of toll charges. I never received a refund and on top of it I received a notice from Euro Parking Collecion to pay 106.03 euros for the use of Via Verde. I was in Portugal for one week. These people are very dishonest, can't even find an email address to communicate with.

Je confirme qu il y a un gros problème Avec cette compagnie. ... Le tarif indiqué à la réservation n est pas celui validé sur le net, effectivement ils n acceptent pas les cartes visa Premier ou gold pour la franchise.. Or ces cartes garantissent le rachat de franchise, et donc évite de prendre des assurances supplémentaires.. Moi même, je me suis vu refusé ma visa premier, ma carte gold professionnelle et ma carte Amex... Ils font un véritable business.. Je pense qu'il serait intéressant de dénoncer cela et de stopper les réservations chez eux, ils ne méritent pas de continuer dans ce domaine professionnel..

Bait and Switch scammers
Unhelpful staff, who appeared to be instructed to find any reason to not supply a car, even though the rental was prepaid in full! When I would not accept the more expensive car proposed, they even charged a cancellation fee to refund the prepayment!
Upon further review it seems a classic bait and switch, a great price on the internet with no intention of supplying the car.
Also watch out if your reservation says "Rhodium", it's still them!

ARNAQUE, nous sommes français et avons réservé via Last-minute (bravo fly) notre semaine de location de voiture et avons payé en ligne. Une fois arrivés sur place, ils nous disent qu'ils refusent les cartes de débit et nous demandent un supplément de 205euros pour pouvoir changer la personne pour le contrat qui elle avait une carte de crédit, heureusement. Nous sommes passés donc de 110euros à 315euros tout ça pour une histoire de carte !!! Nous avions pourtant le solde nécessaire pour la caution mais ils n'ont rien voulu savoir. C'est une histoire d'écriture. Nous n'allons pas en rester là. D'autres français étaient devant le fait accomplis comme nous, pas le choix que de payer le supplément...... Honteux

J'ai mis une étoile parce que je ne peux pas mettre de commentaire sans. Loueur a éviter.
Nous avons pourtant regarder les commentaires mais erreur de notre part nous avons regarder ceux sur Goldcar et non ceux sur Google.
Bref, comme les autres commentaires négatifs, nous avons été surpris par les tarifs avantageux....mdr, sur place, selon leur dires, notre CB visa n'etant pas une carte de crédit mais une carte de débit, ils ne pouvaient pas bloquer la franchise. Donc il faut prendre l'option payante sans franchise. Voilà bien de la vente forcée. Voici notre1ere et dernière expérience chez Goldcar Lisbonne.

A éviter. J’ai réservé en donnant l’heure et le numero de mon vol. L’heure a été corrigé par eux sur le contrat , soit 5 heures avant l’heure donnée initialement. Je n’ai pas réagi en me disant que cela ne changeait rien. Sauf que voulant prendre mon véhicule à l’heure prévu initialement, ils m’indiquent Qu’il n’y a plus de voiture. Pas de solution proposée, pas de remboursement, pas la volonté de comprendre quoi que se soit. Chaque client à côté de moi était dans la même situation. De l’énervement de la part de chaque client blouseé. La police a été appelée car les agents de la compagnie refusaient de fournir le moindre ecrit pour attester que cette situation (louer un véhicule 2 fois)était de leur fait. Ils ont fini à l’arri De deux agents de sortir un cahier de doléances qui n’a pas réglé le problème mais a permit au moins de laisser une r’trace Je plains les hôtesses d’acceui De cette agence qui s’en prennent plein la figure à chaque arrivée de vol Une arnaque qu’il faut faire savoir. Passer votre chemin si vous ne voulez pas commencer votre séjour au Portugal , pays accueillant, par une mauvaise impression.

Avoid at all costs
So, booked the car online. Received the itinerary where was written everything is included (insurance + airport tax) but the credit card deposit (£1200 refundable).
Soon as we arrived I’ve realised I forgot my credit card pin. No panic, the lady from Goldcar tells us. We can pay £200 for a full insurance and no matter what happens (accidents, scratches etc) is included in that price. Brilliant we thought. We were ready to pay when the final bill got to a bit over £400. We asked how come. She couldn’t explain properly. What we could understand : £210 insurance + £80 the road tax + £80 fuel ... that’s £370. What about the rest of the money?!?? We were too tired so we decided to pay and leave. When we’ve returned the car, we ask the money back for the fuel - not possible now they say. You need to wait a few days (not what the First Lady told us when we arrived). When we asked about the difference in payment we’ve been told it was to “activate” the road tax and airport fees. We’ve proved him we’ve already paid for airport tax. They didn’t care. No money back.

A éviter absolument....Ne vous donne pas le véhicule si vous ne prenez pas 1 assurance supplémentaire à 300 euros que nous avions déjà, facture de 700 euros au lieu de 390 euros, ils ne voulaient rien savoir et faisaient mine de ne pas comprendre. DES VOLEURS

Very disappointing experience with Goldcar. They are trying to charge me for fuel refill, even though I returned the car with full tank (got the petrol station receipts to prove it). Definitely the last time I rent with them!

Concerne Barcelone : Je voulais éviter Goldcar alors j'avais réservé via Interrent ce qui m'obligeait alors à aller au T2 (j'arrivais du T1) une fois au T2 le box interrent indique qu'il faut aller à goldcar un peu plus loin, ils ont repris les activités, dommage moi qui ne voulait pas faire affaire avec eux (...) la personne voulait m'obliger à prendre des assurances pendant plusieurs minutes, faisant mine que les miennes n'existaient pas, que le bas prix de ma location ne pouvait pas les inclure, après négociation et tentative d'appel au service client du site qui m'avait vendu la location, il a finalement reconnu que mes assurances étaient bonnes et qu'en ce cas il y a aurait une caution sur ma carte, ce que je savais déjà. Il m'a été facturé un flex fuel que je n'avais jamais demandé (18€) mais qui était déjà coché sur son ordinateur, c'est de la vente forcée, j'ai essayé de la faire sauter et puis j'ai lâché l'affaire, je leur ai laissé me la facturer tellement ils me font de la peine à vouloir grappiller des euros... mon conseil si vous réservez via un broker : imprimez votre voucher avec vos assurances et faites les bien valoir en leur disant que vous savez que vous devrez laisser une caution de 1050 euros via votre CB (soit disant là encore pour vous décourager bloquée 1 mois)

It low cost car rental company. So do your research and be prepared for all fees. When you do than there is no problem paid great price for 10 days rental. Fast proces in the morning on the airport. No issues with return. Recomandations: buy excess insurance elsewhere, take credit card with sufficient funds and allowance (excess, toll, toll preauthorization, fuel preautorizathion) check and tak photos of your car, be prepared to pay for small scratches but for that youvhave your insurance.

It doesn’t matter how cheap your original booking is, you will pay extra. One way or another. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
The Customer service rep I met at pick up told me better get the extra insurance because the way this company works, even the tiniest thing will be charged and better to just get the extra cover so I did. I paid extra for the premium insurance. I was told it was ‘mega relax’ and that the only time I would be charged for anything on return of the vehicle was if I refilled it with the wrong type of fuel or broke the law ie speeding.
Returned the vehicle with breadcrumbs, dust and some paper rubbish got charged a 50 euro special cleaning fee. The photos attached to the settlement statement prove exactly this. It was a 10 day hire, of course there is going to be some dust and debris inside in reasonable use. I contacted customer services but the response was, “it’s a valid charge.” Absolutely ridiculous. It could have been vacuumed up in 2 minutes! I would have done it myself if I’d had any idea there would be a charge! Last time I hired a vehicle from Hertz it was returned with far more dirt and dust inside and they didn’t charge a cent.
I will certainly never use Goldcar again and I’m appalled that this is how Goldcar operates.

Attention au surcoût injustifié. Nous avons eu un pneu qui se dégonfle et on nous a fait payer 150 € et changer de véhicule par une moins bien.
Nous avons porté réclamation qui est toujours restée sans réponse.
Une honte et surtout pas professionnel
Fuyez cette entreprise qui ne devrait pas s'appeler Goldcar mais Badcar.

Very cheap compared to others but very pushy on he insurance. at the checkout counter They try to scare you into taking extra insurance making you believe for any scratch, irrelevant of size, you will be charged €1200 euros. You receive the car and there is always scratches on them- I ordered a 5 seater and was given a 4 seater, didn’t even realise until I reached my destination over an hour away (I had been up all night travelling so stupidly didn’t check) and needed the 5th seat! I would use again due to location in the terminal and pricing but would be sure to check correct vehicle before leaving the airport.

Nemmeno una stella darei a questi ladri, una fregatura dall'inizio alla fine, attenzione pessima, tempi inappropriati, i seggiolini che hanno in dotazione sono tutti fuori norma, quindi sicurezza per bambini pari a zero, poi abbiamo pagato una fattura per tutti i caselli autostradali ma poi ci hanno inviato un link diretto del sito dei caselli dove eravamo costretti a pagare per seconda volta quello che avevamo pagato a loro, con tanto di addebito sul nostro conto corrente, vergognatevi!!!! C'è una assoluta mancanza di controllo per parte dello stato per regolare questi disservizi che possono appunto esporre le persone tipo i bambini con seggiolini rotti e fuori norma

When we arrived at the pick up location, we were sent back to the terminal building of the airport in Lisbon, to sort out the paperwork. This was never mentioned in our confirmation. All in all it took almost 45 minutes to get it sorted out. The guy at the office was rude when I just told him we would have liked to know up front where we needed to be. Not a pleasant experience.

I was hesitant to book here when I read all the reviews, but ended up having a great honest experience. Booked it last minute, same day and got an amazing deal. When I got to the airport, the agents were extremely pleasant and we worked out an upgrade to an Audi for only $100 extra for a week. I took a baby seat and their toll pass, but did not take their insurance, as I took the insurance through the booking agency (only about a total of 50 euro difference). The car was ready for pickup - I did a quick scan of the car & took some pictures and videos, although the agent at the lot said that he had already marked all the damage and not to worry about it since I had insurance. I agree with a previous reviewer that it was dark in the lot, but it didn't stop me from doing my due diligence. Upon the end of the trip, I returned to the lot and it took only a few minutes to give in the car. The agent did a quick scan, asked if I had any issues, and I signed for the car with no issue and no surprise fees on my bill. If you do your research and book it properly and carefully, there should be no issues. Overall I had a very pleasant experience with Goldcar and would use them again.

Não recomendo de todo esta companhia.
Apesar de ter entregue o carro com cerca de 20€ de combustível, a empresa cobrou-me o pagamento do tanque cheio e com gasóleo a preço de ouro...
Um mês antes do aluguer liguei para o atendimento ao cliente e perguntei se podia utilizar o cartão de débito que utilizei para a reserva para pagar a franquia. Foi-me dito que sim, sem problema. Quando cheguei para receber o carro não aceitaram o cartão para pagar a franquia. Fui obrigado a fazer um seguro completo triplicando o preço do aluguer.
Para além disto, todo o processo de aluguer deixa muito a desejar.
Falta de qualidade, de honestidade e de controlo interno.
Companhia a evitar.

Attention grosse arnaque !
Prix plus que correct sur le site (100 euros une semaine).
Une fois sur place on vous oblige à prendre l'assurance à 150 euros.
Car soi-disant notre carte Visa premier débit ne passe pas pour faire l'empreinte.
Or faux car pour avoir fait plusieurs pays d'Europe et même d'autres locations au Portugal, il n'y avait aucun soucis.
Avec en prime un accueil désagréable et des "conseillers" qui ne font que rire.
Ce qui revient la location à 250 euros la semaine.
Et pour récupérer les clefs de la voiture, aucun accueil on nous jette les clefs.
Ps: dommage qu'on ne peut pas mettre de note négative.

Très déçu par ce loueur qui n'accepte pas les cartes de "débit" comme caution, et vous oblige donc à payer une assurance supplémentaire qui couvre la garantie (indépendamment de toutes les assurances prises en amont!). Résultat: prix de la location multipliée par 2!! Ça ressemble à une arnaque tant nous avons plusieurs voyagé et louer à travers l'Europe et tous les loueurs ont toujours accepté nos cartes de "débit"!!!

J'ai loué une voiture du 23/04 au 30/04 chez Goldcar Lisbonne. Nous avons eu une succession de soucis lors de cette location.
Suite à un retard de notre avion, nous nous sommes retrouvés au comptoir de location à 1h du matin mais pas de problème, le retrait hors horaires d'ouverture était inclus dans notre formule ... enfin ... c'est ce que je croyais !
Tout d'abord nous avons eu à faire à un monsieur qui nous a presque pris en otage, il ne voulait pas nous délivrer la voiture si on ne réglait pas ce qu'il demandait (notamment une assurance que nous ne voulions pas prendre à 144e HT), sachant que nous avions une carte de crédit, nous savions qu'il pouvait tout à fait prendre la caution sur celle-ci, mais rien à faire !
Il nous a facturé le retrait en dehors des horaires alors que sur nos papiers de location il était noté que c'était inclus ainsi que le retrait à l'aéroport qui l'était également. Je lui ai pourtant fait voir le contrat de location qui était en ma possession, il a fait mine de ne pas comprendre ce que je lui disait, il ne parlait soit disant pas français mais même en le lui expliquant en anglais c'était pareil !
Sans parler du fait qu'on avait loué un véhicule diesel et qu'il nous a délivré une voiture essence !!
Au final la location m'a couté plus du double que prévu ! Donc un conseil, fuyez !!!

DIFFIDATE, ci sono costi extra all'aeroporto "a sorpresa" ed assicurazione obbligatoria in agigiunta a quella di rentalcards; inoltre, ci è stata data una macchina di categoria inferiore rispetto a quella prenotata (consegnata una Yaris 1.0 69 cv, al posto della prenotazione di una Fiesta o Focus), in realtà ci siamo accorti che NON ESISTONO in deposito le macchine che propongono sul sito di rentalcars.

0 Star! SCAM Beware! I booked at the Lisbon airport location. Avoid at all costs!
If you do not book the extra coverage they will somehow get the money by scamming you later. During pickup they act super busy and will try to rush you around the car and get you out fast. They have pick up upstairs where it’s not as lit as the drop off location. I took my time and took photos of the car during pickup. There were scratches on the front right side that the guy was trying to get me to miss. I saw them and took pictures, while he tried to hurry me on.
When it came to drop off, they have a different place to drop off a few floors down where it is brighter and they take A LONG time to inspect.
They inspected the car and found ‘damage’ under the front bumper at the same place I had noted damage during pickup. But they said I did this because it was under the car and I had not noted it down. It was under the car! The guy had to squat down and look under to show me. They said I had only marked down the damage on the bumper and not underneath.
So they know exactly which car has damage that they can use to get more money. I carefully took pictures and was still scammed. I didn’t think to look UNDER the car. So damage I did not do cost me €500!
As I was returning my vehicle there was another couple arguing with them as well. They were being acused of damage they did not do too.
I tried to contact someone after and I didn’t get a reply for 8 months! After which it was a generic reply. Horrible company, horrible customer service!

SCAM - they charged me for "Super Relax" cover which I NEVER PURCHASED. I even had an argument with one of their employees when I picked up the car because it was taking so long - their response was that because I DIDN'T book insurance with them, they have to inspect it individually with me.... So it takes ages and the reason is I don't have insurance, and then the bill comes in and all of a sudden i'm charged for insurance! SCAM ARTISTS - AVOID AVOID AVOID

nous constatons a travers ma premiere reservation et avoir pris un vehicule en septembre 2017 aucune facture apres la restitution notamment les cautions liees aux peages et au plein du vehicule .on s'aperçois que c'est peu etre une coutume car mon frere est passe en janvier 2019 et c'est exactement pareil donc nous en tirons les conclusions aux coutumes des agences de voitures à l'aeroport de Lisbonne mais je pense que ce message n'est pas le premier du genre….

Брали на четыре дня машинку с полной страховкой. Машинка с пробегом 25000, в отличном состоянии. Дополнительно, в момент получения взяли проезд по платным дорогам - 11 евро плюс 75 евро депозит. По платным дорогам наездили на 38 евро - я думал будет больше. Оставшиеся деньги от депозита вернули в течение недели. В общем, по возможности постоянно беру в goldcar - всё супер, проблем не было ниразу. Удачи.

Fui roubado! Fujam desse pilantras. Ficaram com o dinheiro da reserva e não me entregaram o carro. motivo: me atrasei para retirar o carro e disseram que deu no show e teria que pagar multa de 100 euros, depois me ofereceram o perdão da multa pelo seguro total do carro por 83 euros. bando de safados. Como pode agirem assim numa cidade tão honesta como Lisboa?

Alquilé un coche con doyouspain y con ellos contraté un seguro a todo riesgo sin tener que pagar franquicia. Una vez en el aeropuerto me dijeron que no tenía seguro aún enseñándole los papeles en la mano, y a las personas que estaban a mi lado en el mostrador les decían lo mismo.
Me cobraron recargo aeropuerto 29€ y también por ser el coche diésel cuando yo no lo pedí diésel.
Conseguí que me devolviesen esos dos conceptos y a la espera estoy de que me devuelvan el seguro que pague, lo denuncié a la oficina de consumo de Málaga.
No fui capaz de poner una reclamación a través de su página web y si quien lo hice por correo electrónico y jamás me contestaron, les llamé en tres ocasiones y me informaron que no tenían noticia alguna de que yo les hubiese llamado y así te quedas, con una impotencia y frustración que no puedes hacer nada.

С вас просто удержат залог , через несколько дней с карты, данные которой вы оставляли при бронировании автомобиля, когда вы уже будете на родине разумеется, по почте техподдрежка не отвечает, по телефону только на португальском, в итоге пришлось разбираться с этими мошенниками через международную платежную систему , слава богу так работаю честные люди и они спустя два месяца вернули мне на карту сумму, списанную этим прокатом и в комментарии написали, что на этот прокат регулярно приходят такие заявления. Если не хотите быть обманутым, лучше выберите другой прокат, велики риски, что от этого проката вы обратно свой залог за машину не получите, а это около 200 евро!

Tentative d'intimidation pour vendre des assurances supplémentaires : En cas de problème n'hésitez pas à demander le livre de réclamation,bien rempli dans cette compagnie,, pour déposer votre plainte. Car lors d'une réservation auprès de cette compagnie, l'employé a fortement insisté pour vendre les assurances visant à enlever la franchise. vu mon refus, ( ayant une carte premier avec ces assurances) il refusa de prendre ma carte pour bloquer la caution mais débita du compte bancaire la franchise de 1200€ qui soi disant ne sera remboursé qua dans 30 à 60 jours. Tout cela pour faire peur et que l'on dépense plus avec les assurances.
C'est de la vente forcé limite escroquerie.
Car lors de ma précédente location, deux jours avant, chez cette même enseigne goldcar mais dans une autre ville, la carte fut accepté et ne posa aucun problème pour bloquer la caution qui fut annuler a la restitution du véhicule.
Donc cela est bien au bon vouloir de l'employé et surtout s'il perçoit des commissions en vendant des assurances complémentaires.
Très déçu de cette manière de faire, une plainte à été déposé dans le livre de réclamation et auprès de la police touristique pour que cesse enfin ces arnaques aux touristes.

Déçu par ce loueur. Accueil froid et désintéressé. Attention : carte de crédit obligatoire. Si vous reserve avec une carte de débit (la majorité en France), goldcar vous oblige à prendre une assurance maison, même si vous êtes déjà assuré. Et la, l'addition est très lourde. Car si les tarifs de location sont bons, ils se rattrapent sur l'assurance. Près de 117 euros pour trois jours, c'est largement plus cher que tous ses concurrents sur place. Soyez attentif.

Absolute scam. Booked through “Ace” on Kayak. “Ace” doesn’t exist. Show up and they charge me twice what I booked for. Guy inspects my 2000 dollar Fiat tin can and finds 25 little scratches. Whatever. Get the car, come come back a week later and lo and behold there is a 26th scratch! They say they’re gonna charge 265€ from my deposit for it. Avoid at all costs.

Attention escrocs!!! A éviter ce sont des spécialiste des arnaques !!
Au départ tout est fait pour que vous faire souscrire toutes les assurances. Malheur aux clients qui ont une CB qui couvre l'assurance des voitures de location car au retour on vous facturera dès dégats imaginaires. Le départ de la voiture s'est fait dans la pénombre et celle-ci était couverte de rayures et l'intérieur sale. Au retour l'agent a identifié une micro rayure sur une jante qui n'avait pas été relevé au départ, la sanction est immédiate 350€ prélevé sur ma CB.

GOLDCAR Faro : A fuir ce sont des ESCROCS, des voleurs, sont capables de vous taxer pour des fausses réparations, on ne note rien sur le pare brises au départ, au retour du véhicule non plus, sur le bon de retour du véhicule on écrit en toutes lettres " sem danos" soit "sans dommages" et après on prélève sur votre caution la somme de 400 € pour la réparation du pare brises, complètement faux, on n'a pas eu de grêle, ni de pluie, ni de pierres sur le para brises juste des agents malhonnêtes (notamment (Rosana Matos) .

Before making my rental, I called the company twice to know if I could make the security deposit (1,200€) with my Visa debit (my credit card having a lower limit). The first answer I got was Yes, and the second was "yes, obviously" which was very arrogant.
When I went to pick the car up, they told me that the security deposit had to be on a credit card (therefore Visa debit wasn't accepted). I told the employee I called the company before to make sure I could pay the security deposit with Visa debit and he basically told me I was lying, and that I didn't call the right company, etc. I had to pay extra 55€ to get the full insurance which allows me to not have to pay for a security deposit. In total, it cost me 150€ to rent a car for 48h. This amount is ridiculous and the services I got was really bad. I would never recommend this company.

I hesitated a lot to use their services due to very bad reviews, but I risked anyway. The price was very cheap and I declined their offered insurance, so they took 1200 EUR deposit from my credit card. When receiving the car I have checked it very thoroughly and took a lot of pictures. The car was good, fairly new and worked perfectly. I was really afraid, that they will try to scam me upon return of the car, but everything went very smoothly and deposit was unblocked in a couple of business days. Probably if there were problems - they would not be very helpful, but there were not. So my advice is - you can use it, but be aware that you will be charged in case of any damage to the car. So either take their insurance or have yours on excess. Check the car carefully upon receive and drive carefully. But this time I can give them 5 stars. My rental this time went perfectly smooth.

Customer service was horrible with me. When i arrived i was looking for my documents to show them, when my number was called i didn't go right away because i was putting away the rest of my papers, and when I arrived on the counter, one lady was asking "what is taking so long, why aren't they coming?". I literally took five seconds and she could see i was on my way. Also, when i was being attended, the woman that was serving me stopped to talk to her colleague about someone they knew and what they were having for lunch! I ended up giving up renting a car with them, they advertise one price and when you get there they tell you you have to pay for insurance or take a deposit on your CREDIT card. Never again!

So, I use Goldcar regularly, quite good, not expensive, straightforward if you have your credit card (not Amex), passport and license. Where I got into trouble when the car was towed because I parked in a wrong place - this was my mistake of course. The issues started when I tried to call Goldcar Lisbon to inform them but customer service in Spain couldn’t get me through to Goldcar Lisbon at 10am (there is no direct number), so I decided to go to the pound to pick up the car. When there the attendant said that the documentation in the car was insufficient for me to pick up the car. I called goldcar Spain again but customer service couldn’t put me through to Goldcar Lisbon again so he told me I should go to the airport to speak to those at the counter. When I got there I was told that they couldn’t give me the documentation for the car (they aren’t able) and that we had to act as if it was a breakdown (me having to pay tow fees,etc.). They said that the only thing to do is to issue me with another car with a second 1300 deposit - I said no and repeated that they could just give me the car documents and I could go back pay the pound fees and claim the car, but again they said it was impossible. I then said that I had things still in the car (baby seat, I live in Lisbon), so they gave me the keys, I had to go back to the pound, take the things out of the car, leave the car there and return to the airport to give the keys back. What they should have done was 1. Pick up the phone from the beginning or 2. Given me the documentation for the car or 3. Sent someone with me to the car so that I wouldn’t have to go back and forth between the pound and airport 3 times. I use Goldcar every month but now I will probably not as if my car gets towed (1st time for me in a rental car but these things happen) their policy says that i have no way to get the car back. They were nice enough to drop the refueling fine, though which is why they get 2 stars and not 1

Pas reçu la nissan juke mais une petite opel de faible cylindrée donc un peu poussive et sérieusement abimée. Comme la voiture avait été livrée sans aucuns constats de départ on a eu un peu peur qu'on nous impute toutes ces anomalies. Beaucoup d'angles morts dans cette voiture, cela m'étonne moins qu'elle ait été dans cet état. Franchement déçu.et en plus on n'était pas dans une période touristique intense en 02/2020.

Péssimo, tentei fazer uma reserva online e o site deu erro uns dias depois vou ver a minha conta e descobri que cobraram o valor da reserva mas não recebi mail nada não existia reserva nenhuma, já se se passou duas semanas e ainda estou a tentar recuperar esse valor mas está difícil nem respondem ao mail que eles próprios recomendam para fazer este tipo de reclamação. Erros acontecem mas devem ser corrigidos.
Atualização já se passaram quatro meses e ainda não recuperei o valor sem falar de outros problemas que surgiram no balcão a levantar o carro.

Goldcar is a company of ROBBERS. Be extra careful and if possible I advise you to not rent cars with this company. I was charged 80€ on my deposit which is more than twice the initial price I paid for the car and insurance. When I tried to understand why this amount was charged (the car did not have any damage and the tank was full) they told me that I had paid for 2 extra inssurances and an extra option "smart return" which is completly not true!! I already had paid full insurrance so I did not need 2 extra inssurances, and I do not even know what is the option smart return!! Also their customer service is terrible it took them almost 2 months to give me a completly irrelevent answer to my claim to be refounded. Finally the day I rented the car, in Lisbon airport, the staff was really not friendly (did not even look at me or say hello) and did not explain anything to me I had to ask how to return the car, where is the car, and questions about the deposit that the guy assured me would be completly refounded. I imagine they took advantage of me because I am a student so of course it is easy to rob students and I have been stupid to believe the staff when they said it is normal to pay deposit and it will be refunded. Well this money was a big part of my savings and I had to cancel amazing Erasmus trips because of these robbers. I am really disappointed of this experience and it really does not give a good image of Portugal. So again, please avoid this company or if you go with them be very careful I do not wish to anyone to feel as stupid and sad as I feel right now.

Based on the reviews I was extremely afraid when I was informed that my company rented a car in this agency. However, while picking up the car I was informed about every fees and payments, amount of money which will be blocked on my card and so on. I chose to use the automatic payment on highways, it was only few euros. Additionally you have to pay about 10 euros for diesel car, but everything is pointed out in the offer, before you rent a car. While picking up the car I made photos as in every rental company to be sure that I won’t be charged for damages I haven’t done. The only thing annoying was a queue to the office and one guy at the parking who had to serve both rentals and returns, so I spent around 1h waiting for the paperwork to be finished. The second thing was a lady at the office who told me that the insurance I have from Rentalcars will not cover all the damages. But I knew it was not true, so I didn't decide to take additional insurance in Goldcar.
In conclusion, I’m satisfied with the service, especially within this price. And for all disappointed customers: please, read all of the information, before you make the booking

Be careful. If you don't have a credit card you will be charged the full cover no matter what you do. If you have a credit card be careful as well - I was charged for full cover without asking me or without showing me the final price (No refund possible of course). This is their business model (I saw few other people dealing with same issues there). Their prices are tempting but it's not worth it - find some serious company instead.

Não tenho nada a dizer sem relação a este escritório em concreto porque nunca aluguei aí, mas conheço bem a empresa porque trabalhei no escritório de Alicante, que foi onde eles começaram, e um ninho de companhias low cost.
A verdade é que cada vez mais tenho aversão ao conceito low cost, porque se tudo te corre bem poupaste uns trocos, mas se há algum problema por mínimo que seja, deixas os olhos da cara, e ninguém te dá uma mão. As rent a car são o pior exemplo disto, e sei do que falo porque trabalhei nesse mundo, e conheço as técnicas que usam. Felizmente pude sair desse mundo que tanta mediocridade já me estava a deixar doente...

I had a good insurance with Goldcar and by mistake filled the car with gasoleo and not gasolina.
I had the super relax insurance and even though had to pay 382 euros to change the car.
Waited for 1 hour and 30 min in the toad for assistance. Customer service when is not busy, you will be dealing with a non patient person.

Never again!
Ich fliege sehr oft nach Lissabon und habe schon mehrmals bei Goldcar gemietet. Leider werde ich jedes mal wieder enttäuscht.
Am Schalter werden Kosten berechnet von denen man im Voraus nicht informiert wird. Was online nach einem Schnäppchen aussieht, wird in Realität teurer als die deutlich bessere Konkurrenz am Flughafen. Die Fahrzeuge sind
billig und weisen viele Schäden auf. Der Kundendienst ist überhaupt nicht hilfsbereit und auf eine Antwort einer Reklamation warte ich schon seit über 6 Monaten. Wenn ich wieder anrufe um nachzufragen wann sich jemand bei mir meldet heisst es ich müsse die Reklamation neu aufsetzen, da sie meinen Fall nicht finden.

Car was the only think that is okay on this rental car and even that is bellow what other rental company has. Even though I did not want any insurance I managed the pay it without knowing it. Price for insurance was 80 euro for two days which was almost 3 times more than I paid for a car. I guess I need to be thankful that Goldcar Lisbon is concerned about my security as they charged me additional 12 euro for Mega Relax Cover. Not sure what that was but I felt much more relaxed without knowing that I have it. I almost forgot additional 10 euro for returning the car. This is the list of charges that I got from Customer Support after I realized that the amount that is charged will not be returned as I was convinced after talking with the officer on Lisbon Airport.It is maybe worth mentioning that I needed 3 calls to customer support to find this out as on the first call they said that it will be returned after paying the tolls. Always like to do business with this kind of companies just to remind myself that I have so much to learn not to be cheated.

Брала в аренду на новогодние каникулы, заранее не бронировали, подошли в аэропорту и через 10 минут уже вышли с ключами. Так же быстро получили авто. Заблокировали 75 евро депозит за аренду транспондера и 25 евро сама аренда. Накатали по платным дорогам 45 евро. Списали с карты через неделю после возврата. Депозит 75 евро до сих пор не вернули, прошло 9 дней. Оценку снизила именно за возврат депозита. В остальном - обслуживание, получение авто, сдача авто - все на высшем уровне.

Unfortunately this is the way how rent-a-cars Companies do nowadays!
It seems more a insurance scam businesses ( ) than a rent-a-car business itself.
In a client’s point of view, my recommendation is:
- Look for hidden information and check properly and carefully for the insurance you get.
- Whenever coming from a third part renting site, if you got the Insurance from that site and you’re happy with, don’t accept the insurance proposed by the rent-a-car when you’re going to pick up the car because the original price will, at least, double .
- Pay special attention to fuel ⛽️ deals.
- Pay special attention to any extra offered.
- Pay Extra Special attention to insurance deals (Again )
And, most of all, always remember!!!...
They are there to SELL, you’re the one that has to look after yourself!
This is a recommendation for all rent-a-cars!!!
And, most of all, last not least, don’t be trapped by the fact that I have always had a good experience with... you’re the one that has to make your experience worth!
This is my humble opinion!

À semelhança do que já aconteceu com outros clientes também fui vítima da burla desta empresa. Entregara-me o carro no piso 1 do P3 às 10 horas da manhã. O carro estava estacionado em segunda fila com o espaço reduzido entre os outros carros e sem qualquer luz artificial. O ambiente era de penumbra. O funcionário foi muito credível pois montou um cenário de competência e confiança. Andou por diversas vezes à volta do carro sem identificar nada de significativo. Levantei o carro e cerca de 20 minutos depois na primeira paragem que fiz dei uma volta ao carro e identifiquei de imediato uma pequena mossa (5mm) com a tinta intacta na porta dianteira do lado direito. Não foi feita por mim. Fiquei preocupado mas já nada havia a fazer. Presumi que pudesse ser um pequeno dano sem que constitui-se um problema por parte da empresa. Decorrido o período de aluguer entreguei o carro no parque P3 às 8 horas da noite. Com um forte dispositivo de iluminação de cor branca o funcionário encarregado de efetuar a receção foi direitinho à mossa e identificou-a no relatório como não estando no momento da entrega. Por força disso roubaram-me do cartão a quantia de 200 euros. Deixo aqui este alerta para novos clientes desta empresa fraudulenta e irei procurar outras formas mais eficazes de denunciar o que pelos vistos é um método recorrente de extorquir dinheiro aos clientes.

Foi uma decepção, o carro foi bom a gasóleo, mas ficaram me com um deposito de 69€, caso não enchessemos o deposito do gasóleo.. o facto é que enchemos, pagamos os 130€ do seguro contra todos os riscos mais os 37€ de aluguer e esse deposito de 69€ foi nos garantido que seria devolvido, caso o carro fosse entregue com o deposito cheio! NÃO foi. Reclamei até hoje, já passou dois meses e só respondem que não encontram nenhum registo com os dados que dou..dei todos os dados, fotos, prints etc.. São fraudulentos!

Paguei pacote key n' go. A maquina não reconheceu a reserva. Esperamos 30 min pela recuperação da reserva. Quando fomos entregar o carro o parque estava em obras e havia informação de ir parque 3, onde não havia ninguém nem sabíamos onde entregar a chave. Fomos entregar no balcão e não queriam receber a chave, disseram paea voltarmos ao estacionamento. Uma vergonha sem precedentes.

So, you too, saw a great deal on their website and you want to rent with them? The chances you'll get the online price, are low. If you're not planning to add an extra insurance to that booking, be warned, it's very likely that your will end up buying it anyway. Either you'll be persuaded due to frightening techniques, either you'll be forced to as they will not give you the car with some weird excuse.
Make a complaint and customer service takes 30 days to answer you back, just to tell you you're not right. Customer will always be wrong, Goldcar will always be right.
Booked a car for 2 days, should have paid €42, ended up paying €137. You have been warned.

GOLDCAR didn't make a good impression... The costumer service is slow even they had 6 coworkers there just 2 was dealing with costumers, so we spend more time waiting. The company have a fuel policy in my opinion not very polite, they charge the costumer with a tax (15.45€) called logistics operation, this means even you leave full fuel at moment you drop the car you will always pay a tax like someone from the company did that service for you. So I'm my opinion they just found an easy way but not polite do money. Never leave their balcony without receive the email or paper documents where all damages and missing items are described. Read very carefully your assurance apolice if you did by Internet, because at balcony they will try seel you a new one with a excuse some services wasn't subscribe when in reality are. The car they give us was dirty, smellbbad and we even found ground in the back seats. Two starts one because fortunately we just need a car for 48h and we rent a low category so perhaps that is the justification for bad service and second start we give to Mr pedro Pires he was very professional and kind when we did our check out. So we don't recommend and probably we will not try again GOLDCAR services at Lisbon Airport.

Não percebo como é que é possível que uma empresa destas esteja a operar no mercado sem ser objecto de uma investigação às burlas que aqui são denunciadas. Eu próprio fui vítima desta empresa. Em agosto aluguei um carro para levantar no aeroporto de Turim. Paguei através da internet o preço do aluguer e o respectivo seguro. Quando cheguei a Turim, um funcionário da empresa diz-me que o meu cartão não era de crédito e fez-me pagar outro seguro que ficou mais caro que o preço do aluguer e do seguro que eu já tinha pago anteriormente. Agora, em dezembro, ou seja passados 4 meses, verifico que me andam a debitar da minha conta 35 euros de 2 em 2 meses sem eu saber o motivo. A minha vontade é de denunciar este esquema fraudulento. Amanhã vou ao banco exigir que isto seja comunicado às autoridades policiais.

Atenção a esta empresa de má fé, entregam os veículos em locais com pouca iluminação e quando se faz a entrega quem os recebe vai praticamente direto ao local que pretende. No meu caso foi um pico de estrela no vidro que já lá estava mas não tinha sido referenciado no papel com os danos já existentes. 400€ de prejuízo e já vi mais casos iguais na Internet. Provavelmente nunca chegam a reparar os carros e assim vai de cliente em cliente a cobrar os 400€. Tenham muito cuidado com esta empresa. Não aconselho de todo.

In september my father rent a car from your company. He clearly pointed out that he wants a car in gasoline. Then he came to the airport service and when there was CLEARLY SAID that he wouldn't have to pay any extra cost, your employee, seeing that my father's english is not so good, started talking very fast, didn't want to slow down, and when my father wanted to put me on the phone to translate what's going on, your employee just told him that he won't talk to me „because of the Police”. Excuse me, but which law determines that? So my father with unsufficient english was left alone forced to sign rental documents where you put your extra payments 1.for a car in DIESEL, that he clearly didn't want, and 2. for a tax calculated due to the fact of making extra payment on the airport. Is this a joke? Then, after few days when I came to the airport with my parents to left the car I started talking with your emoloyee, and she told me that it is a frequent situation, nothing big and that we should write a complain and for sure you will return the money. That's what we did, and guess what! Your answer was that my father knew what he agreed for and that he should be HAPPY that he was given a car in diesel that he had to pay extra for, because diesel is cheaper. Your company is a joke. Your attitude towards your customers is grossly disrespectful. You feed on people disability to understand your terms, you pushed to my father something he didn't want, made him pay for that and then you insolently told him he should be happy. If a fuel is more expensive than a diesel and your customer wants a car in fuel it is not you to decide which car he should rent. I will give your company the worst reviews anywhere I can and I will advice against using your services to all my friends. I strongly recommend using your competition services, because I have never had any problems with them.

ACHTUNG ABZOCKE!! Trotz Buchung inklusive Flughafentaxe und Vollkasko musste ich bei der Abholung ein zweites mal die Flughafentaxe bezahlen. Die kaution für das Fahrzeug wahr auch höher als bei der Buchung angegeben. Es wurde weder eine Rechnung für die Flughafentaxe noch eine Auflistung der Fahrzeug vorschäden ausgehändigt. Fui roubado pela GoldCar.
Aluguei um carro na GoldCar aeroporto de Milão em Agosto 2019 fiz o seguro danos próprios com franquia zero. Tive uma multa de estacionamento,paguei 30.90€ num departamento de finanças em Milão.
Dois meses e meio depois a GoldCar debitame na minha conta visa 55€ de gestão dessa multa
Ainda estou para saber o que isso significa sendo que fui eu que paguei voluntariamente.

After a 24 hr flight from Zimbabwe we (6 adults, 2 adults over 65 and 4 kids aged 1yrs old to 12yrs) arrive At the goldcar counter where we were told that our booking was cancelled due to what they termed as a no show. PLEASE READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONING AS THEY DO NOT HIGHLIGHT IT WHEN THEY EMAIL YOUR CONFIRMATION NOR IA THERE A TOME TOLERANCE!!!! we booked the car for 10 am (we always book our cars at 10am so that if anything changes we are not waiting around) goldcar indicated that they had classified us as a no show due to the fact we arrived at 6pm.
common sense says that if we’ve paid for a hired car for a week and we arrive later than the time indicated on the booking We have still paid for those hours we have not used the car ♂️ What would happen if anyone of our connection flights were delayed ♂️
Goldcar still had the car we had hired and wanted to charge us and additional 350 euros on top of what we had paid already.
We have never experienced this before and is unacceptable that they do not highlight this very imported term on their site when booking or indicated it when the send through the email confirmation, if we had know we would not have booked with them as we can’t control what happens with our flights.

Nie wieder, never again.
Wir hatten einen Mietwagen für ihren Madeira Urlaub bei der Vermittlergesellschaft CarDelMar gebucht. Der Preis für 10 Tage inklusive Vollkasko-Versicherung war rund 400 €, der von CarDelMar abgebucht wurde.
Die Autovermietung vor Ort war Goldcar. Als wir das Auto in Funchal am Flughafen abholen wollte, ist ihnen von der dortigen Autovermietung Goldcar eine zusätzliche Rechnung in Höhe von 431 € über Zusatzversicherungen gestellt worden. Wir haben die Zahlung verweigert, woraufhin die Angestellte der Autovermietung sagte, „keine Zahlung, kein Auto“.
Wir haben daraufhin den Kundenservice von CalDelMar an. Dieser sagt, zusätzliche Kosten würden unter diesen Umständen von CarDelMar erstattet werden, wir sollen alles bezahlen und den Urlaub genießen.
Zurück in Deutschland, haben wir bei CardelMar einen Vorgang geöffnet und den Betrag in Höhe 431 € zurückgefordert. Der Kundenservice hat in Abständen mehrere Nachweise und Unterlagen gefordert. Zuletzt eine schriftliche Bestätigung der Bank mit Unterschrift und Stempel, dass es sich bei der vorgelegte n Kreditkarte um eine gültige, vollwertige Kreditkarte handelt (keine Prepaid-, Charge-, oder Debitkarte). Zum Zeitpunkt der Anmietung war ein ausreichender Verfügungsrahmen vorhanden.
Als auch diese Bestätigung von der Bank vorgelegt wurde, hat CarDelMar eine Erstattung der Zusatzkosten nach drei Monaten (!) abgelehnt, mit der Behauptung, dass die genannten Zahlungen vor Ort freiwillig vorgenommen wurden und somit kein Anspruch auf eine Erstattung bestehe…
Wir fühlen uns betrogen und abgezockt von CardelMar und wird nach rechtlicher Prüfung gegen diesen online-Vermittler vorgehen.

I will bullet point and point out fact or opinion at the end of each point:
1) We went to the desk at the airport and having paid a large sum for the car rental with Ryanair before hand (£150+) the woman at the desk (sara) stated we must pay over 100euros for insurance, it is refundable just as long as you return the car. I said I am a confident driver and don't want it, plus have paid for my own insurance online before hand so am covered, she pointed out that is for driving on the road and covers you hitting other drivers but no damage to the vehicle owned by Gold Car and so you have to pay for that separately, if you don't get the insurance than minimum charge 300euros, even if they find one little scratch they will charge this regardless of actual cost of repair of scratch! I said I will risk it and am fine, and then she said "well then it is a 1600 euros deposit (yes 1600 EUROS!!!), refundable upon return of car". I said that is extortionate and no other car company charges this, she said it is up to me, pay the insurance or the deposit or you can't take the car despite paying before hand, either way I have to pay (keeping in mind this is after a tiring flight with two young kids and we needed a car, one which we thought we had already reserved and paid for). So I paid the 100 euros and confirmed it will be refunded upon return right? And she replied 'yes within 3 working days'. (FACT).
2) We picked up the car from there forecourt and I asked there guy to check the car once over for any existing damage so when I bring it back you know it wasn't me that did it. He said "don't worry the insurance means you are covered and as long as you bring back the car back doesn't matter about damage". (FACT).
3) we returned the car on 24th October 2019 and it was an easy handover process, one signature on an ipad, and I asked about my refund and was told again it would be with me in 3 working days. (FACT).
4) I hadn't received it so kept chasing and chasing on the phone, eventually spoke to someone called Adriana who said email cs @ goldcar.pt - I did and of course zero response!! And I was told 'CS' stands for 'customer service' - which there is none. Everytime I phone I am told "it has been executed from our end" or 'it will be with you soon" or "maybe your bank is stopping it" (It is not I checked twice). It has now been over 15 days and they have returned nothing to me, no money at all (FACT).
5) This is legalised theft (OPINION/REFER TO LAW). I appreciate I am an individual and no one except a man who rented a car needed for him and his young family on holiday, but I didn't deserve to have my money stolen.
I will never use this company again and strongly recommend no one else does.
I hope this review helps and stops people in future from being in the same situation and losing money. I wish I had read reviews about the company before using them, lots of negative ones and I can also see after googling them that on 31st Oct 2018 'Which?' released an article (based on Sunday Times findings) showing how many complaints this company gets. I have never been mugged or robbed in my life, thankfully, but this does truly feel like the first time it has happened to me.

J'avais réservé une voiture en ligne et payé 98 € pour 15 jours, ce qui n'est effectivement pas cher. Je devais régler 80 € en plus sur place pour le 2ème conducteur . Sauf que Goldcar m'a demandé lors de mon arrivée de payer une assurance supplémentaire. Le motif invoqué était que la caution ne peut être encaissée qu'avec une carte de crédit et non de débit alors que leurs conditions générales disent le contraire. On ne m'a jamais proposé d'encaisser la caution . Je n'avais pas le choix, j'ai pris l'assurance et me suis retrouvé à payer 390 € en plus de ce que j'avais déjà versé à la réservation. il y a plusieurs frais cachés, on m'a rajouté des options que je n'avais pas demandé. Bref, très mauvais service limite de l'arnaque. Je déconseille fortement cette compagnie .

Cheap prices with extremely cheap behavior where the client is only a synonym of money and deserves no respect, consideration or even a smile. Please be extremely careful with the condition of the vehicle and make sure you forget nothing inside of the car, as it certainly disappear without any trace, even if you contact then just a few moments after. An awful experience and a company to run away from. Certainly not ready for the 21st century and the kind of basic service costumers take for granted.

Avant de louer la voiture j'ai regardé les avis des utilisateurs de tous les loueurs de l'aéroport de Lisbonne. Si vous faites comme moi vous allez constater qu’il y a beaucoup d'avis négatifs qui relatent les problèmes que rencontrent les clients à cause des cartes de débit et des vérifications de l'état de la voiture en fin de location.
Pour éviter tout désagrément je suis passé par le site de Gold car parce qu'ils sont les seuls chez qui je pouvais prendre une assurance qui m'évite déposer une garantie.
Assurance à côté plus cher que la location (le total payé en ligne est 178 € pour la location d'une C3 durant 6 jours avec assurance et siège bébé).
à l'aéroport la personne au comptoir était très agréable et pas d’attente.
Mauvaise surprise ils nous ont fait payer 12 € de taxe qui n'était pas mentionnée au moment de la réservation.
Ils nous ont également demandé un dépôt de garantie de 118 € pour le carburant et pour cela la carte de débit n'a pas posé de problème.
Nous sommes dirigés vers le parking où la personne qui nous a remis la voiture était très très droite froide.
La voiture était en bon état et propre. En revanche le siège auto était sale de mauvaise qualité et en mauvaise état.
Le retour s'est fait de façon très fluide également.

With a cheap rental price up front, I knew going into this rental that I would be hit with fees every step along the way, and sure enough that was the case. Someone less travel savvy would end up with charges that more than double my original rental fee. Minimum drivers license fee for 58 Euros, a variety of taxes not included in the original rental, an unexplained fee for 149 euros over a week after I returned the car with no damage and a full tank of gas. The workers at check in counter were super misleading in their statements in order to add on additional fees, and began straight up lying to my face when I called them out on it - telling me I'm not allowed to drive on the highways unless I pay the 15 euros to activate their Via Verde tag; in reality you can just pay cash or credit card at the toll booths. When I questioned the minimum drivers license fee, I was told I had two options: pay it and take the car, or don't pay and make a new reservation with a different company. Just be ready for a fight every step of the way, and don't expect it to be over once you return the car.

Attiré par le prix attractif (12€ la location pour 5 jours), j'ai pensé rétracter ma commande lorsque je suis tombé sur les avis.
Puis je me suis attardé sur la question, j'ai regardé les avis positifs et je retombe sur la même conclusion.
1)Afin de pouvoir déposer la caution (en CB uniquement), il faut disposer d'une carte DE CRÉDIT, ce qui n'est pas toujours le cas. Je m'en suis donc assuré auprès de ma banque avant le départ.
2) sur place, on vous propose différentes options, simple demande, aucune obligation (badge autoroute, assurance supplémentaire, etc)
3) la caution (élevé si vous ne prenez pas d'assurance) est détaillée et claire:1200€ pour le véhicule et 100€ environ s'il n'est pas restitué avec le plein.
4) on nous donne les clés du véhicule, sans même avoir vérifié son état! Je constate donc que l'agence nous fais confiance!!
En bref, lisez les conditions générales de location avant de vous engager (car TOUT est détaillé, vraiment TOUT) et vous aurez moins de surprise. Inutile de faire les gens surpris et de venir poster un avis défavorable et/ou insulter les gens de voleurs alors que tout est détaillé.
Sinon, personnel sympa, véhicule propre et quasi neuf, vérification de l'état du véhicule au retour très rapide, pas de perte de temps et surtout excellent prix!!!

For me it was the first experience to rent a car abroad. It worried me to see a lot of negative feedback but I see that a lot of authors don't understand specific conditions of rental service. E.g. I didn't use toll roads because at that time I didn't know how I should have paid for it. That's why there were no extra payments from my card.
I rented a car with full insurance coverage to avoid any issues with damage. Need to emphasize that car (Fiat 500) was comparely new (kilometres driven approximately 20000 km), vehicle was clean, worked properly. with full fuel tank.

Bad assistance in the Lisbon airport, by an unexperienced assistant, that resulted in extra costs for me. After the customer service was unable to solve the case or even to give an answer for more than a month now (totally disrespectful) ...
Multi other options in the airport, don’t recommend this company at all.

Le motif : la caution ne peut être encaissée qu'avec une carte de crédit et non de débit.
En revanche en acceptant 300 euros de caution supp c’est bon plus de problème.

When I decided to rent the car from Goldcar, I was a bit scared of the reviews.
I chose Key&Go - 220 EUR for an automatic car for 6 days? If you ask me, it's a bargain.
I went to the Lisbon airport, I picked up the car in 20 seconds. It was a Toyota Corolla hybrid with 11'000 km. Almost brand new and in perfect shape.
I droped it off after getting it washed at the BP next to the airport.
Another 20 seconds to drop off the car.
Honestly, it's the best car rental experience I've ever had in my life and I do it at least 10 times a year.
Sure, it was off season, but still an unbelievably amazing experience. Thumbs up!
I'm just wondering if the 1 star reviews are from people who really believe you can rent a car for 2.5 EUR per day. Well, keep on dreaming and complain...

Goldcar m'a demandé lors de mon arrivée de payer une assurance supplémentaire à plus de 300€.

Agence d'arnaqueurs. Arrivée avec réservation prépayée en ligne pour 23h, et surprise!!! amende de 44€ pour 17 minutes de retard au total, incluant un léger retard d'avion, l'attente au guichet et la rédaction du formulaire de frais, obligation de paiement immédiat au risque de nullité de la réservation. Idem pour tous les gens qui attendaient. L'employée, vous accuse délibérément de provoquer un horaire de dépassement de service alors que le guichet est ouvert, ce qui est normal dans un aéroport de cette envergure. Autre surprise, pour récupérer le véhicule, le préposé, esseulé devant quelques clients a mis près d'une heure pour désigner un véhicule et nous en remettre les clés. Bienvenue au Portugal, la honte.

we just return the car after 2 days and got to pay 113€ for having forgot to completely refull the fuel. I am sure the car was much more than half full at return. Please send me the fuel bill to check the amount of fuel you put in the car.
Secondly the guy at the check out didn't tell us the car wasn't full. We had time to go to a fuel station if he had told us we forgot.

Booked hire car 2 months before travel, we knew we would pay around £150 my partner made the booking so it was in her name . When we arrived we explained that the other partner would be the main driver this was not allowed unless we paid another fee which was ridiculous so we ended up paying in total £450 . A RIP OFF never using them again. Customer service attitude was terrible be warned.

Très déçu du service. J'ai payé la location et l'assurance sur internet soit 110euros,pendant mon séjour ils me prélèvent 93e sur mon compte sans mon autorisation. Alors que j'ai déjà payé une assurance tout risque sur internet. A mon retour le monsieur au guichet n'a rien voulu comprendre on lembetait vu sa tête.pour lui c'est une assurance, alors quon a dit plusieurs fois qu on l'a déjà prise. C'est de l'arnaque ils ne disent pas tout sur internet méfiez vous !!!!!!!

Was super nervous after reading all these horrible google reviews, but actually our experience was fine. Sure, it’s extra for insurance when you pick up the car (as with any car rental company), and they did try to sneak in some extra costs (but when I pointed them out they quickly refunded the incorrect charges). My advice - just be alert and know what insurance option you want in advance... Then you won’t be disappointed. The pick up was pretty quick and the drop of was easy. The car was new, great on fuel and was exactly what we booked. Overall, a totally fine experience.

A horrible experience. It deserves to be out of business. I was told they would have seats there for my kids but hey we dont have any left now... bad luck! And then after ripping off on the auto toll pay device, they sent you an email saying they cant process it so you need to do it yourself with the lame portuguese authorities. Avoid at all costs.
Also be aware of the local guides who rate them 5 stars. Local scammers helping each other.

Fizemos uma reserva pela aplicação e fomos pegos de surpresa quando fomos retirar o carro, até uma lista de vias que não podíamos transitar existia, além de nos obrigarem a fazer um seguro absurdo.

Muito má empresa para alugar veiculos. O automovel foi-me entregue com o deposito na reserva (como pode comprovar com fotos e com uma nota do funcionario), e foi levantado na mesma o valor do combustivel, quando ainda para mais deixei o deposito com mais gasoleo do que aquele que recebi....
Isto foi a 4 semanas ainda estou a tentar resolver o caso...
Muito mau serviço prestado.

Totally pleased by our rental, we booked a compact car with full insurance and key and go pack, during our pick-up we got a free upgrade to diesel car. Since we got the full insurance ( directly from their website, not 3rd-party ! ) both collect and drop-off have been a 30 seconds job.

Eu havia reservado um seguro de platina através da Carjet. O funcionário continuou insistindo em Lisboa, que é apenas uma apólice de seguro básica e eu tive que fazer um depósito através do meu cartão de crédito de 1600 euros. Eu mostrei a ele meu seguro, que afirma claramente que tudo está coberto por esse seguro. Mas ele continuou a recusar e eu tive que fazer um seguro com ele para obter essa cobertura. Entrei em contato com a Carjet e ele me informou que recebi uma apólice de seguro supérflua. Em outras palavras, fui enganado. Isso dói como detetive de fraude aposentado. Mas o que você faz quando está lá com pessoas que estão na estrada há 18 horas e eu também estou no ônibus há 5 horas. Então você fica lá com mais de 300 quilômetros para dirigir e depois faz um seguro. Então você recebe um carro que faz muito barulho devido a um rolamento danificado na suspensão da roda traseira. Então, volto aos conselhos da associação holandesa de consumidores para fazer uma menção no Livro de Reclamações. De qualquer forma, quase um milhão de holandeses são informados das práticas fraudulentas da Goldcar. De fato, nenhuma estrela pode ser dada.

The car and all the arrangments were fine, but please, if you pick up the car at the Lisbon airport, be very, very careful!!! All the employees of the different rental companies drive completely insane in the airport parking garage while returning cars to their respective floors. They think they're on some formula 1 track, I just hope they don't kill anyone. Watch your children!

Nonostante una certa efficienza per tempo di ritiro e riconsegna, mi hanno dato una macchina con 15 danni già riscontrati tra righe bozze etc. Arrivo alla riconsegna, l’impiegato fa il giro e prende una foto. Gli chiedo se va tutto bene e mi risponde nessun problema. Prendo il volo, arrivo a destinazione e mi ritrovo una mail che mi contesta un danno al cerchione (il 16mo graffio evidentemente) per 100€. Sto facendo ricorso ma ammetto che la loro documentazione è inattaccabile e la vedo dura. Fanno prezzi bassi e poi ci guadagnano con danni inventati. Sono dei ladri a mio modo di vedere. Da evitare a tutti i costi. Ci sono molte altre compagnie low-cost con le quali non ho mai avuto problemi a Lisbona

3 locations auprès de cette société depuis juin dernier. Bon service. Personnel sympathique et courtois
Sur les 3 véhicules, 2 étaient marqués Golcar et 1 Interent. Les 2 premiers avaient 1800 et 3600 kms donc neufs. Le 3eme, celui identifié comme venant de chez Interent, avait 46.000 kms et était nettement en moins bon état. Je suppose que Goldcar manquait de véhicule et qu'un emprunt a été fait auprès d'interent.
Par contre, même neufs, des véhicules présentent quelques traces de chocs légers. Il semble que certains clients soient peu attentifs.
Lors de la prise en compte d'un véhicule, j'ai pu voir que des personnes ne voulaient pas du véhicule qui leur avait été mis à disposition parce qu'il présentait une trace de choc plus important. Le personnel n'a pas discuté et a remplacé le véhicule par un similaire sans trace.
La semaine prochaine je retourne à Lisbonne et j'ai déjà réservé auprès de Goldcar.
Je ne mets pas les 5 étoiles à cause de la voiture venant de chez interent. Je fais mes réservations suffisamment longtemps à l'avance pour que le loueur ait des véhicules disponibles sans avoir à en prendre ailleurs ou alors il devrait essayer d'avoir mieux que ce qu'il m'a remis. Je ne dis pas que le véhicule était dangereux mais moins bien entretenu et moins bien équipé. Sur les 2 plus récents, j'ai apprécié les régulateurs de vitesse sur les 300 kms d'autoroute.

Très mauvais service, il y a plusieurs frais cachés et vous oblige de prendre une assurance supplémentaire... donc vérifier avec eux avant de louer parce que les couvertures de votre carte de crédit ne fonctionne pas avec ce "low-cost". Je déconseille cette compagnie fortement.

If you are reading this review chances are that you have been scammed, abused or/and experienced very rude manners at Goldcar. Another 1000 reviews prove the point so, if you had a bad experience at least request the COMPLAINS BOOK or LIVRO DE RECLAMACÕES at Goldcar counter and write down your story. It's the only "practical" legal document you can use, before or after or rental. Don't let them scare you or invent stories to deprive you from your legal rights.
If you paid with credit car contact your bank to dispute the payment of any unfair fees or charges, it works in some cases. If nothing can help you to make justice just remember the face of those sad Goldcar employees trying to scam you and never let your values come close to that! Cheers

Nervig: Es wird bei Abholung in miesem Englisch penetrant versucht Zusatzversicherungen aufzudrängen. Hart bleiben! Maut wurde elektronisch erfasst - über Kreditkarte eingezogen. Später kam eine E-Mail in englisch, dass die Maut nicht belastet werden kann. Man soll sich direkt mit "der Autobahn" in Verbindung setzen und anscheinend nochmal zahlen. Keinerlei Antwort auf E-Mails. Hab da mal vorsorglich meine Creditcard gesperrt. Goldcar wähle ich nicht mehr!

We had a terrible experience with Gold Car in Lisbon. The people working the counter were extremely rude and unhelpful despite them speaking good English. The car came scratched everywhere and dented. Dropping the car off at the airport was a nightmare. The Gold Car team had a major pile up and did not seem motivated to move the cars to get things moving. I could see this making people late for their flights if they are unprepared. I would look to another company to rent a car in Portugal.

Bin relativ zufrieden. Alles wie besprochen. Es kamen noch ein paar Gebühren fürs Tanken am Ende der Mietzeit, die ich im Voraus bezahlen müsste. Der Mitarbeiter war sehr freundlich und hat ein paar Möglichkeiten zur Auswahl angeboten. Würde diese Autovermietung empfehlen, obwohl es empfiehlt sich alle Einzelheiten vor Mietbeginn abklären.

Malgré tous les commentaires négatifs que j'ai pu lire j'ai loué un véhicule chez Goldcar cet été sur les recommandations d'une amie et je suis très satisfaite. Il suffit de lire les conditions avant de réserver tout y est très bien expliqué. J'ai payé 490 € pour 2 semaines en plein été... une affaire quand les concurrents m'auraient fait payer presque le double pour une voiture similaire. A l'arrivée à l’aéroport, j'ai payé une caution de 1300 € au lieu de l'assurance supplémentaire à presque 300 €. Mais pas d'étonnement c'était bien noté dans les conditions. 2 jours après mon retour en France le solde était recrédité sur mon compte. Je recommande à partir du moment ou les conditions sont lus pour éviter les mauvaises surprises

Fiz um aluguer para a minha mulher uma semana, com um custo de 155, normalmente faço o seguro na Goldcar, que cobre tudo, com franquia zero. Disse á minha mulher, para fazer o mesmo. Qual o meu espanto, quando me disse que pagou 400 e tal euros, e o mais grave, eu alugo um carro a gasóleo, e entregam-lhe um carro a gasolina. Sinto-me enganado. E mais no acto da assinatura, que é feita em um visor digital com uma caneta, a minha mulher assinou, e passado alguns minutos recebe, um contrato com a imagem dos danos, que o carro já tem no momento, se por acaso o carro tiver mais danos, e não estiverem assinalados, a pessoa tem que assumir o pagamento desses danos. Pois a assinatura, foi parar no final desse contrato. Está na altura de apresentar queixa na Deco, as rentcars, precisam de ser fiscalizadas, para o bem do turismo em Portugal. É muita ganância.

Faites très attention lors de la prise en charge du véhicule......L'année passée, j'étais arrivé au comptoir vers 22h30, une file de + de 20 mètres, une seule personne pour servir les gens. Prise en charge des clés à 01h30, avec un enfant de 2 ans. Arrivé vers le véhicule, j'ai moi-même du signaler quelques rayures sur la carrosserie à la personne sur place qui l'a noté sur le contrat....La surprise que j'ai eue, c'est une semaine après lors de la restitution dudit véhicule ( qui était très bien à part ça). A mon arrivée j'ai été très surpris de la manière avec laquelle l'employé de Goldcar, s'est mis DIRECTEMENT quasiment sur les genoux pour aller me trouver une rayure SOUS le pare-chocs avant du véhicule. Bingo, 300 euros que j'ai du payer de la franchise pour cette arnaque. Ils me disent qu'est-ce qu'on fait, je leur dit que j'avais un vol à prendre, et que tte façon, ça ne servait à rien de leur expliquer qu'à la prise en charge à 1h30, Jacques autre vise à faire qu'aller me coucher sous la voiture pour détecter cette rayure, qu'ils savait très bien à l'avance sa présence.... Donc voilà, la plupart des compagnies au Portugal arnaquent les touristes qui ne connaissent rien de la bas, ils leur font peur et les forcent à prendre des assurances, faire payer les autautoutes, systèmes scoots, Via Vetde ou autres arnaques. Soyez vigilants!!!!!

ATTENTION ARNAQUE : Si vous ne possédez pas de carte de CREDIT, mais seulement de DEBIT, ils pourront pas bloquer la caution de 1200€ sur votre compte et vous obligerons donc payer une assurance tous risques complémentaire (un peu plus de 300€).
Bon à savoir également : vous devrez payer une dizaine d'euros la location du badge permettant de payer les péages au Portugal ainsi, qu'une avance sur les frais de péages de 75€.
Vous devrez également payer lors de la récupération de la voiture un montant de 62€ correspondant à un plein (qui vous est restitué si vous rendez la voiture avec le plein).
Sinon la location s'est bien passée, voiture conforme à nos attentes.

Huge line. Lots of people were angry about cars that weren’t ready. Others were being send to the wrong counter. After returning they had to get back in line. It was absolute chaos.
After waiting for an hour it was finally my turn. My car wasn’t ready because I was 2 hours early. I had to wait the remaining 2 hours. Never had something like that before. Normally if you show up a little early there is a car for you. One employee told that they had just enough cars and that I could only pick up the car AFTER the agreed upon pickup line. The guy next to me was send away because he was 15 min to early. Not what I’m used to but okay, I am the one who chose a budget car rental company.
I asked if there were possibilities for me not to wait. They first said there was nothing they could do but suddenly there was a car available. They made it sound like they could make me a sweet deal if I would take one class higher. I had to pay €150 extra but didn’t have to wait, would get full insurance and a car from a higher class. Still a lot of money but tired from traveling and fed up with the chaos at goldcar we decided to take the deal.
Than came the next surprise. I had to pay the total amount in full. The amount I already paid to the rental broker would be corrected/credited on my card. I asked multiple control questions and was reassured that it was the total amount. ‘Yeah, I won’t tell my manager I gave you this good a deal’ said the girl behind the counter. Being the naive tourists that we are, we thought we wouldn’t be scammed.
After arriving home and several calls with the rental broker I was informed that no money would be returned. Goldcar booked all the costs as upgrades and I could not prove what the lying girl behind the counter had said. I should have been more careful abroad according to customer service. Of course I shouldn’t have been so naive but that does not alter the malicious procedure at goldcar.
In the end I ended up paying 3x the amount I booked the car for and got a car that was full of dents and scratches. If we where informed correctly we would have waited the last two hours and got some drinks instead of paying almost €300,- extra. I truly feel conned and treated very unfair by Goldcar.
Therefore I really advice you not to book here. If you do or already did, please be careful and a little more sceptic than I have been.

Empresa não é idónea! Fui ROUBADO por eles. Não estão interessados em alugar carro pelo preço combinado. Colocam adicionais de tudo e o site deles não cumpre as regras que são definidas por eles. Jamais façam pagamento antecipado porque é um caminho sem volta. Você pode não ter cumprido alguma regra que o site deixa passar e na hora da locação existe a verificação humana e o errado sempre será você.

Ce loueur est une arnaque,le prix au départ est certes intéressant mais lors du retrait du véhicule il faut absolument présenter une carte de crédit et non de débit. La solution proposée par les vendeurs est une assurance à plus de 500 euros!!!! Et la la carte est acceptée!
Est-ce un loueur de voiture ou un assureur?
Tout compte fait nous leur avons laissé leur voiture mais ils nous ont débité la somme payée depuis la France.
Ne louez jamais chez cet arnaqueur vous allez perdre de l'argent

My experience with Goldcar Lisboa couldn't have been worse. They offered us the package that included "via verde", which meant we would pay 75 euros and they would return the difference to our card after checking how much we had spent on tolls. However, for some unknown reason, they said the via verde system didn't work but DID NOT RETURN THE MONEY TO US!!! In addition to it, they were supposed to give us back the money we paid to return the tank empty, because we decided to return it full, which means on the top of all the super expensive service, THEY TOOK 156 EUROS FROM US!!! I've never felt so disrespected as a customer!! I would never ever in my life rent with them again! Please, save yourselves from the same unpleasant situation and choose a more honest company! Even though I contacted them 283648 times and the staff that works at Goldcar Lisboa airport could check the system and see they had not returned the amount of 156 euros, the GOLDCAR customer service kept saying they had and it was a problem with our bank. So to add to all the stress, we needed to find a way to pay for the via verde ourselves + contact our bank just to ended up finding out that GOLDCAR DID NOT RETURN THE AMOUNT OF 156 EUROS TO US IN THE FIRST PLACE!

Ce sont des voleurs oui oui. Bon après faut profiter de leurs offres promotionnelles pour vraiment faire la différence avec leurs concurrents.
Jamais de remboursement pour le full/full + taxes non prévues au contrat lors de la prise de la voiture.
Pour les assurances, ils vous annoncent la couleur en cas de refus mais ça c'est pareil partout.
Jamais eu de soucis au retour.
Par contre une fois un pneu qui se dégonflait tout seul et une clim HS en fin de séjour. Une autre fois, problème de batterie on a attendu le dépanneur toute la journée...
Tout ceci explique qu'il n'y ait presque personne à leur guichet alors que tous les autres loueurs sont débordés.
Pour info : 1 barre de carburant en moins est facturée 10 € à l'arrivée.

Tenía una reserva aquí y pedían 1600€ de depósito a pesar de haber contrato un seguro total. Es cierto que en las condiciones de la reserva por internet ya advertían de este depósito pero me lo cancelaban si pagaba 230€. Cancelé la reserva y me fui a otra compañía.

I booked my car in advance and prepaid it. I booked a higher class and a bigger car to accommodate 5 people with luggage (for an extra ~$200). At the arrival I was told that they didn't have any bigger cars and gave me a mini. They charged me the extra fees and taxes at the location even though they had been prepaid and the voucher clearly stated that. They refused to adjust the price to a different car class. Instead they gave me a customer service email to address the issue. I had my 82yo parents with me, and after a 9h flight I simply wanted to get to the hotel and get our rest. I've tried calling the company, and every time they transferred the call to the airport location, which never answers. The only time they answered, they gave me an email address to address the issue and refusing to change the car to the one I had originally booked and paid for. And guess what?!?! The customer service ignored all my emails!!! I will try to dispute the charge with my credit card bank. Very disappointed with this company. This company is affiliated with Goldcar. Again, STAY AWAY!!!

Fiz reserva no site, onde havia a informação que aceitariam o caução de 1200€ no debito, mas quando cheguei ao aeroporto informaram que não aceitam meu cartão por ser Maestro (mas no site não tinha nenhuma restrição, inclusive paguei a reserva com esse cartão). Como meu cartão de crédito não havia limite disponível neste valor, tentaram vender um seguro onde não seria necessário o pagamento do caução. Com o seguro, a diaria de 10€ passaria para 41€.
Como não aceitei, não deram outra alternativa e não devolveram o dinheiro da reserva! Empresa faz propaganda enganosa!!! Não recomendo!

Astuce pour arnaqué les gens: ce loueur qui n'accepte pas les cartes de "débit" comme caution, et vous oblige donc à payer une assurance supplémentaire qui couvre la garantie (indépendamment de toutes les assurances prises en amont!). Résultat: prix de la location multipliée par 2!! Ça ressemble à une arnaque tant nous avons plusieurs voyagé et louer à travers l'Europe et tous les loueurs ont toujours accepté nos cartes de "débit"!!!

Bad experience at Lisbon airport!!! Be aware they do not take AMEX. In our confirmation we received while booking the trip before our holiday, it did NOT include they didn’t take AMEX. Once there they tried to charge us 250£ extra for not having a non AMEX Credit card. It was that deal or nothing. Contacted the Customer Service to make a refund but got told they can’t refund anything. Real joke!! Stay away!

The car was new and in good shape as expected, but not so clean. The service at the airport counter, however, was very tricky! They offered 3 options for insurance: €1,200, €320 and €300. I did not want extra insurance, but the attendant enforced 1 of 3 options must be chosen!!!
Long story short, after much trouble, the €1,200 option is deductible only, and returned upon return without accident.
I almost fell on his trick and I would give 4 stars if he was clear from the beginning...

Terrible organisation at Lisbon Airport on 20 August 2019. A 30 min queue to get to the counter and then over another 60 minutes waiting in the car park to pick up the car. The whole operation was a shambles and there must have been another 30-odd renters in the same situation, waiting in the car park for rental cars that weren't ready. Although the car rental centre was busy, all the other operators seemed to handle the situation much better. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!

Although they charged my credit card for 458 E, I received a email 3 weeks after I returned home telling me that they can't charge my credit card for tolls on the highway. Ich würde am Liebsten Minussterne vergeben, wenn es gehen würde. Wir haben ein Auto gemietet über unsere Kreditkarte, Ausweis Unterschrift und Kreditkarte wurden kontrolliert und das Geld wurde auch vorab komplett bezahlt. Als wir das Auto abholen wollten, wurde ein Pin verlangt von der Kreditkarte, den wir nie benutzen mussten und leider nicht mehr im Kopf hatten. Es wurde uns keine Lösung angeboten. Keine Hilfe oder Alternative, man wurde unfreundlich und unverschämt abgespeisst. Ende vom Lieb war dann, dass wir über 380 € nochmal direkt und sofort zahlen mussten, um ein Auto dnan doch zu bekommen, obwohl das Auto schon lange im Voraus bezahlt war. Es hat dnan insgesamt über 1000€ gekostet für ein paar Tage Mietwagen in Lissabon. Lächerlich.
Nur mit Unterschrift glauben die nicht, dass du der Besitzer der Kreditkarte bist aber mit nochmal ordentlich Kohle drauf bekommt man ein Auto ohne Probleme und Ausreden... Toller Servicegedanke, pure Abzocke dieser Laden! Nie wieder Goldcar, absolut nicht zu empfehlen! Ekelhaft sowas Service zu nennen!!!

Bom dia no passado dia 03 agosto fui levantar o carro no aeroporto de Lisboa, fui informado q tinha que dar 1200€ de permissão no cartão de crédito e tudo ok. Quando tentei inserir o meu cartão a máquina recusou e não me deixou pagar. O funcionário(Tiago Felipe) prontamente disse que o problema era do meu cartão e possivelmente por estar no meio de outros cartões tinha sido desmagnetizado. Tentei pedir ao funcionário para me dar outra máquina ao que praticamente se recusou dizendo que tinha que por a sua password noutro computador e carregar o meu processo e que isto era um processo morado. Questionei se tinha alternativa ou se tinha perdido a minha reserva por não estarem a aceitar o meu cartão. O funcionário prontamente mostrou a solução fantástica de pagar 162,50€ de seguro com cobertura total, sem alternativas, acabei por concordar. O mais ridículo é que paguei este valor de 162,50€ com o cartão que me tinham recusado minutos antes. Para clarificar, a mesmo máquina aceitou pagar com o mesmo cartão aceitando o número do cartão mas rejeitando o chip! Claro que no momento não sabia e pensei que o problema fosse do chip do meu cartão. A minha raiva começou quando cheguei ao multibanco e vi que o cartão estava 100% operacional e tinham me acabado de fazer pagar 165,50€ por um serviço que eu não queria!
Em suma um aluguer q me tinha custado 200€ ficou me em 365,50€ pagando um seguro que não queria de todo e que não me fez qualquer falta . E porque ? Porque a máquina da Goldcar não aceitou um cartão do tipo que em teoria aceitavam (Visa) e que está 100% operacional!
Serviço nada professional , e uma atitude de ‘Chico esperto’ do funcionário(Tiago Felipe) foram a cereja no topo do bolo, enfim, Goldcar para mim nunca mais !

We booked for a Ford Fiesta for 5 days, then told us on arrival that they had none available so they "upgraded" us to a Fiat Tipo.
The Fiat looked good but was very lacking in quality, the car made a horrible rattling sound when idling and when driving it had a near one inch movement on the steering wheel either side, which was horrible on the motorway.
We also paid for the prepayed toll tag but the attendants never told us how the tag worked so when we arrived at a toll we ended up having to pay with cash, making us waste money on the toll tag.

Goldcar est une entreprise qui escroque, je m'explique, j'ai fais une réservation pour 10j sur internet pour un total de 260 euros jusque là merveilleux. Arrivé a l'aéroport de Lisbonne ils nous obligent à prendre une assurance pour un total de 350 euros car notre carte (comme 95 % des français) est une carte de débit. La location passe donc à 610 euros pour 10jours .. Mais ce n'est pas tout je m'appercois que le site Goldcar me prélève la somme de 236 euros, je ne sais pas pourquoi, sachant que je n'ai jamais accepté ce paiement .. Donc fuyez pour ne pas plomber vos vacances car pour moi c'est le cas .. avec 846 euros pour 10j de voiture ! :(

Ne pas réserver de location avec goldcar ( Lisbonne airport pour ma part).
Ayant déjà eu une expérience avec Sixt et interrent ( pourtant une filiale de goldcar) je n'ai pas eu autant de soucis qu'avec eux.
Goldcar sont catégoriquement des escrocs et ne respectent pas les lois européennes, ni leurs conditions générales d'utilisation pourtant claires (mentionnant qu'ils acceptent les cartes de débit)
Toutes nos cartes bancaires de mon compagnon et moi ont été refusées ( MasterCard,visa premier, visa électron). Impossibilité de négocier quoi que ce soit même en portugais. Pourtant d'autres agences de location peuvent bloquer la somme sur ces cartes.
Nous avons donc du payer la fameuse assurance cover relax et notre location de voiture pour une semaine ( Seat Ibiza) nous en est revenu au total pour 600 euros pour une semaine.
L'unique avantage était que la voiture était neuve.
Sachez que au Portugal vous n'êtes pas obligé de souscrire au boîtier autoroute. Soit vous payez par ticket dans les autoroutes qui le permettent et si ce sont des péages électroniques vous pouvez payer au bureau de poste 24h plus tard (CTT).
Cette arnaque commence a se faire connaître et il faut la dénoncer.

Ціна авто з максимальною страхівкою була такою ж як у інших з страхівкою середнього рівня. Авто забронював та оплатив на сайті. авто отримав за 20 хв. Здав за 5 хв. Жодний додаткових витрат.
Авто нове з пробігом 3000 км у чудовій комплектації. Авто здавав помитим та заправленим.

Despite what other people say we have had good experience with them, not just in Lisbon but in other countries as well. They wil always try to convince us to buy their expensive car insurance (we have our own annual car insurance at a fraction of the price), they accept our choice, try to give us a car with less scratches on the contract than they are in reality but we insist they get axed to the contract (which they do) and when we come back, they never make a fuzz of it, we get our blocked money back. We do that for several years now without ever being charged additional costs. Having said, always be alert and challenge them. The only problem we find annoying is to get a car where the petrol tank is... say... 3/4 full and you have to bring it back 3/4 full as well... That is a challenge!! So far we always came back with more fuel in the tank than needed.

Ils refusent la carte VISA PREMIER car ils ont trouvé la combine pour vous faire payer une assurance à 260€. En France nous avons des cartes marquées "débit" qu'ils refusent sans donner de raison; nous avons donner une caution quelques heures après dans un hôtel sans problème avec cette même carte. Il vous facturent un plein d'essence de 75€ en vous disant de ramener la voiture réservoir vide; mais à l'arrivée, et une heure après, je reçois une facture de 85€ pour manque de carburant. Revenu en France nous avons saisi la répression des fraudes et associations de consommateurs pour cette arnaque en bande organisée.Ils font pareil de partout dans le monde et il vient d'y avoir une émission à la télé Française pour dénoncer l'escroquerie GOLDCAR.

Wir kamen, auf Grund der Flugverspätung, 5 Stunden verspätet in Lissabon an.
Wir hatten Goldcar am Flughafen Lissabon um 11:00 Uhr , 1 Stunde vor vereinbarter Übernahme, telefonisch von einer, zu dem Zeitpunkt noch nicht absehbarer Flugverspätung, mit der Flugnummer informiert, mit der Bitte den Wagen für uns bereit zu behalten. Das wurde notiert, und wir wurden gebeten noch jemanden in England über die Verspätung zu informieren. Die Dame die dort nahm unsere Informationen auf, meinte aber Sie könnte uns nicht helfen, da wir Ihr keine genaue Ankunftszeit sagen konnten. Das Gespräch war nicht erbaulich so dass wir die Dame darauf hinwiesen, dass Sie auf der Grundlage der Flugnummer die Ankunftszeit, wenn dann mal irgendwann bekannt, in Erfahrung bringen könne und den Wagen so lange für uns zur Verfügung zu halten.
Angekommen in Lissabon teilte uns der Goldcar Mitarbeiter mit, das die von uns gebuchte Wagenklasse nicht mehr zur Verfügung stand. Er können uns nur 1 Wagen für zusätzlich EUR 156,00 anbieten. Unser Hinweis dass wir Goldcar rechtzeitig über die Verspätung informiert hätten interessierte ihn nicht. Mit dem Wissen dass wir noch über 350 KM fahren mussten und der fortgeschrittenen Zeit entschieden wir uns für das Angebot. Dann wurde uns eine Zusatzversicherung für EUR 186,00 angeboten, die wir ablehnten. Der Goldcarmitarbeiter wies uns sehr energisch auf die Gefahren, die wir eingehen würden, wenn die Zusatzversicherung nicht abschließen würden. Er sagte jeder kleine Kratzer am Wagen würde mit Minimum EUR 600,00 wenn nicht mit EUR 800,00 berechnet, und er versicherte uns dass der Wagen bei Rücknahme penibel entsprechend untersucht würde. So gedrängt lehnten wir das Angebot ab. Deposit EUR 1600,00 für den Wagen und EUR 200,00 für die volle Tankfüllung (ca. 50 Liter Fassungsvermögen), kann man machen aber…..
Bei der Abholung des Wagen haben wir alle Kratzer etc. fotografiert und vom Mitarbeiter notieren lassen, auch die die er für zu klein hielt und kommentierte, der Kollege wollte nur eine Versicherung verkaufen. Alles wurde auf einem Tablett vermerkt, auf dem ich unterschreiben sollte. Ich wollte einen Ausdruck und den unterschreiben, aber der wurde mir verweigert, mit dem Hinweis ich würde den Zustandsbericht per Mail erhalten. Da alle Bereiche markiert waren unterschrieb ich auf dem Tablett.
Am nächsten Tag erhielten wir den Zustandsbericht, wie schon beinah befürchtet, waren nur 2 kleine Kratzer vermerkt. Sofort reklamierten wir den falschen Zustandsbericht, Antwort erhielten wir mit einem Standardtext, der nicht Bezug auf unser Anliegen nahm, knapp 1 Woche nachdem wir den Wagen zurückgegeben hatten.
Nun wussten wir das Goldcar den Wagen auf unsere Kosten fürstlich sanieren wollte. Würde ein langer und teurer teurer Prozess werden mit Ausgang offen. An Urlaub war nicht mehr zu denken, Erholung, Freude und Spaß Stressabbau, alles verflogen, es gab nur noch ein Thema und wir wünschten uns nur das Ende des Urlaubes herbei.
Mit entsprechenden Gefühlen gaben wir den Wagen wieder ab, er wurde uns abgenommen und vorgefahren um für Andere Platz zu schaffen. Der Mitarbeiter verweilte einige Zeit im Auto, nahm dann den Wagen von außen in Augenschein. Er kam dann zu uns und drückte uns ein Papier in die Hand mit einer riesigen Unterschrift. Er war schon im Gehen und ich fragte ob alles in Ordnung, was er mit einem Kopfnicken bestätigte.
Erleichterung zum Schluss, aber die Belastungen und der Stress während des Urlaubs sind noch lange nicht verarbeitet.
Trotz Versprechungen seitens Goldcar haben wir bis heute nichts von Goldcar gehört.

Then when you are actually there to pick up the car, they throw all these hidden fees at you that were not included in the original quote. Jestem pozytywnie zaskoczony bo nikt mnie tu nie oszukał ;)
Wynajem bez większych zastrzeżeń, mimo sporych obaw po przeczytaniu internetów.
Dostałem czyste i świeże auto z przebiegiem 16000km. Przy odbiorze bez problemu założyli blokadę za paliwo na kartę debetową, którą anulowali rano drugiego dnia po zwrocie samochodu. Zero dodatkowych kosztów. Sam zwrot szybko i bez problemu, mimo tłoku na parkingu (jest tam kilka wypożyczalni).
W sumie w promocji cena z ubezpieczeniem i dopłatą za odbiór auta w środku nocy, była niższa niż w innych wypożyczalniach bez ubezpieczenia.
Kilka tipów dla naśladowców:
Dla pewności zarezerwowałem bezpośrednio u nich na stronie, wziąłem dodatkowe ubezpieczenie i zapłaciłem za wszystko online. Na miejscu nic nie dopłacałem.
Na koniec oddałem auto umyte, odkurzone i zaatakowane do pełna na BP przy lotnisku.
Generalnie da się to dobrze ogarnąć.

Wenn es Null Sterne gäbe, wäre es richtig. Absolute Abzocke. Versteckte Kosten treiben den Preis um das fast 3-fache hoch und die Tankregelung stimmt nicht mit dem vorab gebuchten überein. Die Service ist eine Katastrophe, man antwortet einfach nicht. Im nachhinein sind sie nicht mal in der Lage die Gebühren der erfassten Maut (Automatische Erfassung natürlich gebucht und bezahlt) an die Betreiber zu entrichten und nun soll ich das, ohne Wissen der genauen Strecken, einzeln an die Betreiben zahlen. Einen Monat nach Ende der Miete belästigen die einen immer noch. Update: Es hat sich herausgestellt, das die Gebühren schon bezahlt wurden und die Mail an mich totaler Unsinn ist. Totaler Versagerladen.

DO NOT RENT WITH GOLDSTAR. IT WILL COST YOU. Gold star are con artists. We rented two cars through them, for one they refused to use the driver's credit card and forced us to pay an additional non refundable €370. The said on the email we needed a credit card with €1200 available but when we got to the desk they needed to charge €1550! The second car was charged €250 for a scratch that was there before we rented the car. They did not inspect the car with us. We have both a picture and a video of the pre existing scratch taken in the airport when we arrived.

Horrible, ou comment être dégouté du Portugal en descendant de l'avion..
Après avoir réservé plus de 2 mois a l'avance histoire d'être bien organisés en voyageant avec 3 enfants en bas age, on s'est présentés pépères sûrs de nous, sauf qu'on a fait la réservation au nom de mon mari avec sa carte qui est DEBiT, donc goldcar nous refuse le dossier, sauf...a prendre pour 300€ d'assurance.
Donc je les fais appeler CARJET site sur lequel on a loue pensant faire une bonne affaire (eux aussi sont a éviter) mais c'est moi qui doit parler avec eux avec un mélange de toutes les langues que je connais un peu excepté le Français...
Solution qu'on a adopté: louer une nouvelle voiture pour 90€ (127€ avec les divers frais)
Pensez a ça si vous etes en train de bouillir devant leur bureaux avec les enfants qui courent a droite et à gauche...
Mieux vaut économiquement louer une nouvelle voiture avec une carte de crédit que de prendre leur assurance, même si avec ça ils continuent de mettrent la pression pour qu'on prennent leur assurance au lieu de la franchise a 1200€..
Sachez aussi qu'au Portugal on a du louer le boîtier via verde pour les péages. Mais on ne sait toujours pas combien on a dépensé. Apparemment on ne le saura que dans quelques jours..
Au final on a du attendre 3 heures pour récupérer la voiture, et ça au prix d'une bonne migraine!

Une véritable arnaque et des employés incompétents juste là pour proposer des assurances du double de la location... selon le profil il propose divers tarifs! Ils profitent des caractéristiques de notre carte qui est soit au débit ou soit au crédit... en crédit ils se permettent une franchise à 1200 e et en débit ils nous demandent de souscrire à une assurance complémentaire qui est à la tête du client varie de 280 e a 134 e. Nous sommes repartis sans voiture car je trouve ça scandaleux de rajouter des assurances que l on a déjà sur nos cartes !!!!hier ils se sont permis de louer 2 fois la même voiture car par manque de rigueur de leur faute ils ont relouer la voiture que nous avions réserver et du coup nous ont proposé une voiture qui coûtait plus cher ( le scandale commerciale ) !!! C est scandaleux !!! Ce que je trouve encore plus scandaleux c est leur manière de parler et surtout qu aucuns d eux ne parlent français ou correctement anglais !!!! C est un scandale pour les touristes !!!! Je suis très en colère de se manque de professionnalisme et de se manque de considération . Se sont des voleurs , j espère juste que nous serons remboursés de ce qui nous a été déjà prélevé à la réservation ....

MUITO MUITO MAU. Não aconselho. Péssimo serviço. Ao levantar o carro em Palma de Maiorca, com voo a chegar às 23h, obrigam a pagar mais um seguro de 186€, uma caução de 113€, que prometem devolver, e mais €40 porque se receciona o carro depois das 23h (só por milagre se consegue fazer antes), mesmo depois de ter o contrato às 23:30h.
Na entrega da viatura dizem que depositam o valor da caução logo depois, telefona-se uma semana depois, dizem que levam 10 dias úteis, e depois passado o prazo, faz-se reclamação com todas as provas e mês e meio depois ainda nada de dinheiro. mais um telefonema e comunicam que está na contabilidade, que tem toda a razão, até porque não apresentou danos, entregou o depósito cheio e na hora prevista.
MAU DEMAIS!

השירות נראה אדיב, אבל כשאתה מקבל את החשבון מתברר שמדובר בגנבים. הרכב נבדק בהחזרה יחד עם נציג הסוכנות ונמצא במצב מושלם. הנציג הראה לי כי יתרת החשבון לתשלום היא '0'. כשהגיע החיוב התברר שנוספו 30 יורו, התקשרתי לברר ונמסר לי כי החיוב הוא על השלמת ערכה חירום. שלחתי מכתב בו מסרתי שהרכב נבדק איתי במסירה והכל היה מושלם. כמובן, תשובה לקונית, חייבנו על חוסר בערכה... לך עכשו תוכיח שאין לך אחות. היזהרו

Do NOT rent a car with Goldcar rental! Půjčovali jsme dvě auta. První auto jsme přebírali v garáži, kde nebylo téměř světlo a nebylo skoro nic vidět. Když jsme jej vraceli zpět poslali nás naopak do garáže, která byla krásně osvětlená a zaměstnanec autopůjčovny si dal tu práci a našel na zadním nárazníku drobný povrchový škrábanec (spíše šmouhu). Za toto poškození nám byl okamžitě naúčtován poplatek 350 euro! Zaměstnanec se s námi nechtěl téměř bavit, byl velmi arogantní, když jsme žádali o nadřízeného poslal nás ke dveřím, které byly zamčené a naprosto nikdo nám nebyl schopný poradit na koho se máme obrátit. Následně jsme byli přinuceni vyplnit veškerou dokumentaci týkající se poškození. Vrácení druhého auta proběhlo bez problému, ale zase nám byly naúčtovány nesmyslné poplatky. Prosím, ačkoliv se zde dá najít i pár pozitivních hodnocení, nepodporujte tuhle společnost. Nejedná se o nic jiného, než o podvod. Ušetříte si spoustu trápení a peněz. Bohužel na letišti se vyskytuje více půjčoven, všechny vypadají a nejspíše fungují velmi podobně.

I'm really happy with the whole process.
At the beggining I was a bit scared, because I read really bad opinions about goldcar, but I've decided to go for it and risk. (I have an additional car insurance in icarhireinsurance)
I've rented a car for a day (without goldcar insurance), the renting process was smooth, car was clean.

Cobram seguro total obrigatoriamente. Mesmo vc tendo seguro do seu cartão. O atendente Tiago foi muito arrogante e me pedia p mostrar onde o cartão garantiria.

LA PEOR EXPERIENCIA DE IMPOTENCIA Y RABIA EN MI VIDA.
No solo es el hecho de que te quieran cobrar: 25€ extra por darte un carro con Diésel, 18 € por una tarjeta para la autopista, 30€ por impuesto aeropuerto, 75€ deposición de autopista, 115€ deposición combustible. Sino también el hecho que te quieran imponer un coche diferente al que tú has alquilado, vender un otro seguro aparte del que tú ya has comprado, y el “servicio” patético.
Por dignidad decidimos no aceptar sus condiciones y abandonar aquel lugar indignados y preguntándonos cómo una compañía así puede seguir engañando y funcionando de esa manera.

좋지않은 후기가 많아서 걱정했지만 문제 없었습니다.
고속도로 이용료, 보증금 등 안내도 잘 되었구요.
단, 차량 인수시에 키만 주고 끝! 유럽 내 다른지역에서도 그러던데 혹시 몰라서 차량 내 외부 상태를 촬영을 꼭 하게 되더군요^^;;;;;

Ladrões! Empresas como essas merecem ser fechadas! Nos roubaram quase 400 euros (aprox. R$ 2.000)! Nos empurraram um seguro que é absurdo e disseram que eu tinha pegar um carro superior pq já não tinha mais disponível o carro que eu aluguei pelo app, sendo que o estacionamento estava cheio. Não tenho esperanças de recuperar o meu dinheiro, mas peço que demitam o funcionário Jorge (um senhor, gordo e de óculos) do Aeroporto de Lisboa, pois ele agiu com muita má fé comigo e meu esposo.

Parece que vai pagar mais em conta no fim tudo enganação.
Garantia que seguram no seu cartão nada mais nada menos que 6.300 reais ISSO já é o assalto.
E como se não bastasse passou das 23 hs seu vôo ainda me cobraram 44 euros kkkk parece mentira isso né. Acontece que não foi, na cara de pau 200 reais para já ficar esperto. Alegam que é uma TAXA por ter passado da hora de expediente.
Meuuu Deussss nunca vi isso em toda minha vida.

I have a very good experience with Goldcar on Lisboa airport. I got a car (Opel Corsa) with many scratches, but all was already marked. I paid just basic insurance and excess (1200€). I watched the car as if it were mine and I returned it in the same condition with the full tank. The return process was smooth and the Goldcar employee was professional and kind. I didn't pay any hidden costs. I can really recommend this car rental company.

ATENÇÃO: O valor indicado no site pode ser diferente do que vão ter de pagar ao balcão. A companhia exigiu o pagamento de uma taxa administrativa de 23€ para um aluguer que no site era apresentado como VALOR TOTAL DO ALUGUER - 10,8€. Uma perfeita BURLA!
