August H: My apartment is in Algarve with a 30 year old lock that is rare and had become unreliable because of it's age. I was in a rush to go away for a week to pick up a car up north. As I was exiting the apartment, I slammed the door shut and the lock jammed. I tried to get in, but nothing would move and I was effectively locked out. I left the door as it was and went on the trip. While gone, I did an internet search for locksmiths in Algarve. I found two and sent them each an email explaining my situation. Safe and Secure Locks replied almost instantly and my communication with Claire began. She was very responsive to my situation and accommodated my all needs and concerns. Because all this occurred at the height of the covid-19 lockdown and I had a 600km drive ahead of me to get back home, I was concerned that I might have a situation where I would be standing outside my door for hours waiting for a locksmith to arrive while needing to go to the bathroom badly. Yes, all the bathrooms at gas stations were off limits as were bathrooms at establishments and everywhere else! A 6+ hour drive can get pretty uncomfortable when done without a pit stop. Claire kept in touch with me as my exact arrival time firmed up and Chris, the locksmith, arrived less than 2 minutes after I did. Well, that's all fine and good, but it doesn't help much if it takes forever to open the door. I'm a pretty smart guy, but Chris quickly saw things about the lock and key that would have forever escaped me. After approximately 90 seconds, my door was open without any damage. Further, Chris got the original lock working and advised that a replacement wasn't really necessary, but I insisted that it be replaced to circumvent issues in the future. A new lock was altered to fit my old door and everything works as well as I could ever want. Then came the bill. Even though I didn't ask, Claire was transparent with me about rates and so I experienced no bill shock. Even though I was a customer with very particular schedule needs, there were no hidden charges and the bill was not a penny more than what I had been told. The rates were far better than expected, especially considering how desperate people are when they're locked out of their homes and have nowhere to go. I was not taken advantage of and paid much less than I would have had to if forced into a corner as some businesses do. What I'm really trying to get across is that I was in a real bind and someone came to genuinely help. Safe and Secure Locks, Claire and Chris, if you ever happen across this review, I took the time to write it to thank you for your professionalism, competence, and fairness. You deserve the kind words. I don't come across all these attributes in one business too often, but it's a true pleasure when I do. Thank you.

Este estabelecimento de má qualidade não aceita mais devoluções a menos que você tenha o recibo original! Eles costumavam aceitar devoluções. Eu tinha recebido um berbequim eléctrico com várias brocas e brocas para o Natal. Eu já tinha um conjunto completo. A família que mo deu não conseguiu encontrar o recibo! Este lugar fica pior a cada dia! Comprei milhares de dólares de canalização, pias, madeira, brocas, lixadeiras, TRÊS comedores de erva, um cortador de relva Toro, duas motosserras, geladeira, fogão e máquina de lavar louça! Que se lixem. Eu vou ao Lowe's em vez disso!

Só os chamei porque tenho uma máquina de secar e de lavar louça que eu apaguei. Sim, dois aparelhos ao mesmo tempo. De qualquer forma, liguei para marcar uma aplicação e verificar os preços. Ele me disse que só aparecer, já que tenho dois consertos, seriam $209. Pensei que não podia ser assim, então perguntei o que isso cobria, como em mão-de-obra. Ele disse que não cobre realmente nada que seja apenas uma taxa de serviço para dois aparelhos. Então são 209 dólares só para conduzir dez minutos até ao fim da estrada para chegar ao trabalho. Uau! Estou no negócio errado. Então, acho que vou chamar uma empresa de reparações que está perto de ser razoável.
