We were resigned to giving in to the overpriced tourist traps before stumbling upon this amazing little place. Proper authentic food for less than the generic places further up in the centre

In a town full of tourist traps this place is a nice little hidden gem with simple, cheap high quality food and a great selection of local wines. Or you can get a delicious local craft beer next door. Avoid the restaurants in the main part off town and take the short walk here for sure!

Botica Saloia, in the heart of Sintra is a marvellous place to enjoy the best wines of the region and very tasty finger food! It is well located, clean and has a good variety of wines, both red, white and rose. The staff is friendly and always available to give you some tips about the main places to visit in the city. It is definitely a must go in Sintra!

Great local wine and food at a reasonable price. Super friendly staff. Small quiet patio with fantastic views of the hills. A much appreciated retreat from the overpriced tourist traps that seem to be frequent in Sintra.

After a very long hike and day surrounded by people at Sintra, I was so thankful to find a place off the beaten path that wasn’t overwhelmed with tourists. I had a glass of wine and a cheese sandwich that completely rejuvenated me. Cheese and carbs are always necessary, but especially after a hike.
