Mousse au chocolat comes in plastic bowl (directly from the supermarket?!) and its texture is a little bit slimy. The Fanta doesn't taste like the original. Bad food for bad prices. Would like to give zero stars...

It’s very simple. When in Portugal, eat what they specialize in - fish. My wife had the cod with cream sauce and it was good. I had pizza. Might as well bought frozen pizza from the local grocery store. Probably just as good.

Third year in a row I’m coming to Lagos and visiting 'Abrigo' as well. Year after year food and service there are on the highest level. Whoever came along with me, has loved the place too. Prices are reasonable, a bit lower than in other restaurants in the area. 'Abrigo', thanks for hosting, will come again.

If you’re looking for a spot where you can spend good money on some of the worst food you will ever eat in your life - go there, in Abrigo you will get a well done steak even if you asked it to be rare, served next to defrost vegetables. Try the house white, it will make you hate white wine for life.

Mediocre at best. Everything lacks simple flavour like salt. We asked for extra Piri Piri sauce for our Piri Piri chicken and they gave us tobacco sauce.

Food was delivered quickly and hot. My piri piri wasn't as spicy as I was hoping but the chicken was super juicy and delicious. My friends salad was delicious. Service was prompt.

Difícil é especificar. Para mim um dos meus locais de eleição para pequeno almoço, almoço, drink à tarde, jantar, uma bebida descontraída depois do jantar. Já são muitos anos... Um menu muito variado e excelente, em quantidade e qualidade, óptimo serviço, recomendo!

Sono in vacanza a Lagos con la mia ragazza abbiamo girato praticamente tutti i ristoranti ogni sera ma come si mangia da Abrigo non si mangia da nessuna parte.
Zuppa di pesce strepitosa,
cozze alla blody Mary deliziose e la pasta Capri e Milaneza buonissime.
Porzioni abbondanti e rapporto qualità prezzo ottimo.
Personale educato, gentile e simpatico.
Locale sempre pieno, ma l’attesa vale davvero il piacere di cenare in questo ristorante.

Service was terrible we waited a half hour for starters and the table sitting beside us ordered food and ate before we go our mains. We finished a pitcher of sangria and all our water before receiving food. When I asked the manager how much longer it was going to be he argued with me and said I hadn’t been waiting long and that I need to be patient.

It's a nice place with cold beer and streetperfomances close to the place, if you like livemusic.

Waren heute zu fünft im Abrigo. Vorberichte von dem unfreundlichen Personal kann ich nicht bestätigen. Man fiel uns jetzt nicht um den Hals, aber wir wurden freundlich begrüßt. Bestellungaufnahne dauerte ebenfalls nicht zu lange. Bis das Essen kam, dauerte es ein klein wenig. Wenn das aber ein Zeichen für frisch zubereitetes Essen ist, nehme ich das gerne in Kauf. Absolut solides und gutes Essen. Meines Erachtens auch tatsächlich frisch zubereitet. Es gab auch Kinderportionen. Alles in allem schöne Lage und nicht so an der Straße platziert, so dass jeder auf den Teller starren kann. Einzig allein die Tischdecken könnten erneuert werden, die waren ein bisschen schmuddelig.

Wir waren 3 mal hier, weil es uns so gut geschmeckt hat!
Die Gambas sind lecker, dazu das Knoblauchbrot - perfekt!
Auch die Spaghetti Bolognese schmeckt perfekt.
Die Kellner sind nicht zwar nicht übermäßig freundlich aber das Essen und die Lage überwiegen :)

Porções pequenas para o preço. Outros restaurantes também no centro muito melhores. Pedimos salada de camarão. Um camarão estava sujo. Todos os outros limpos. Ao final, quando comuniquei o ocorrido, como uma crítica construtiva, fui informada que isso é normal. Quando expliquei que foi apenas um camarão, e não todos, o mesmo argumento de que é normal. Uma pena. O suco de laranja tamanho duplo, custa quase o dobro e é muito pequeno para ser duplo. Não recomendo.

I have to say the location and staff was nice but the pizza was horrible... Mashrooms tasted like if they were from the can, dough was chewy and not cooked properly. Fish is ok,but a bit oily. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it and I wouldn't come back again.

Ordenei o prato de bifinhos com cogumelos, o qual não demorou tempo praticamente nenhum, o que leva a crer que a comida já esteja feita e seja apenas aquecer. O mesmo foi servido em poucas proporções, a batata era pré frita e os cogumelos eram de lata. Para o preço que foi a qualidade ficou muito aquém. Os empregados eram bastantes antipáticos, vivamente foi uma experiência para nunca mais...

La dorada al grill muy rica, la carne a la plancha que sacaron a los de la mesa de al lado tenía una pintada, la sopa de pescado muy rica y el postre un poco caro pero muy rico también. 100% recomendable, la terraza estaba llena y tocó esperar 5 minutillos para ser atendido..... por algo estaba lleno:)

Trappola per turisti!!!!! Non andate assolutamente a mangiare in questo posto che è un classico ristorante per fregare i turisti malcapitati che passano di li (come noi)... Abbiamo preso una zuppa di pesce che non sapeva veramente di niente.. Sembrava brodo allungato con acqua al sapore di pesce.. Per non parlare della cataplana di polpo che abbiamo preso successivamente... Veramente poca qualità, pesce poco fresco e servizio abbastanza scadente... Non ci ritorneremo MAI più

Horrible. No lo aconsejaria por nada del mundo. La comida era cara, los platos sin gusto, y El personal Poco agradable. A quien le guste el pescado no le recomendaria ni la sopa de pescado ni la cataplana de pescado, ya que en los dos platos El sabor a pescado brillaba por su ausencia.

Entramos porque era donde más gente había. Tuvimos que esperar un poco para la mesa, y debido a la gran cantidad de gente que había la comida tardó un poco pero tampoco fue excesivo. gran cantidad de platos para elegir, nos decidimos por el bacalao, y hasta ahora ha sido el más sabroso de todo el viaje. Dos platos de bacalao, cuatro bebidas y café , 28€. La atención de los camareros muy buena,muy simpáticos.

We came back after 4 years as we had some really good food here before.
Now, we were 6 grown-ups plus 2 kids and we were told they couldn't seat us even though they had like 3/4th of the tables empty. Their explanation was that they can't move any of the tables in order to join them with the existing 4 person ones.
I've never seen a restaurant chasing away customers like that.
So, we just walked a bit down the street and found a restaurant that immediately joined a few tables and served us some great traditional food.

Pasta capri is delicious. Full of real prawns and light spicy with lots of garlic.I had them already a few times. The service is fast and friendly.Nothing to complain.I read about the cutlery in paperbags and asked some other restaurants about it. It was me told, that it is law in Portugal to serve them in bags to protect them and for higiene, if they will be used outside on a terrace. So everything correct and 5stars.

Had the linguine with prawns and unfortunately it was mainly prawns heads and about 3 prawns. Not much taste. Service wasn’t very friendly or welcoming. Cutlery in a paper bag should have been a warning.

Das Abendessen war super und die Kellner sehr bemüht! Mittags war es etwas weniger bemüht, dafür sind die Preise auch günstiger gewesen. Der Käsekuchen ist mega lecker, ein toller Nachtisch oder Snack.

O Abrigo já foi um ponto de referência. Agora é... mais um café. O serviço piorou consideravelmente e é incrível que me respondam às 11h da manhã que já não têm um vulgar croissant. Há uma empregada de mesa muito atenta e simpática, mas o serviço de copa/cozinha é muito desleixado.

Nice atmosphere and good prices but the people running the place could do a lot by just listening to their customers. My friend gave tough feedback on their food (which was really bad at the time) but got a mail back where the asked him to go somewhere else. You will eat cheap here but never good food unless they are willing to listen. By the way prices are not higher at other restaurants, so..... we will go somewhere else.

Wir waren positiv überrascht. Wir hatten bei diesen kleinen Preisen eigentlich nicht wirklich was gutes erwartet weil wir auch nur einen kleinen Snack zum Mittag wollten. Also einen Salat für 3,90€ und Spaghetti Aglio e Olio für 4,90€ bestellt. Und wir können sagen es war wirklich super für den Preis. Selten mitten in der Stadt so günstig gegessen.

This place is awful!! I got fish and chips and the fish was disgusting. Not even sure it was even fish. Also this dish came with no condiments so I had to ask for a side of mayo/ketchup at an extra charge and the lady brought me 2 tiny packets!!! So absurd. Don't come here.

The seafood pasta and the veggie lasagna was really good, big portion size and reasonable price for that location. The only complaint we had is the waiter is not friendly or helpful as all. Otherwise it's a good place to eat.

Waited 40min for food. When it came I just asked if the octopus stew came with potato and salad like the menu said. They said of course it doesn't, I told them then they should clarify on their menu because it was confusing. And the restaurant manager came to argue how ignorant I was about why this 200 year old dish would come with potato and salad while we were trying to eat. Because it said so on the menu???!! The food tasted average, just a place to fill up your stomach as tourists
