Segunda visita a un sitio informal de Avillez y segunda decepción tras la cantina de Oporto. Precios altos para los que ofrecen, con platos muy pequeños y no especialmente elaborados. Sitios demasiado juntos y comandas muy rápidas para que te vayas lo más rápido posible, el negocio se basa en la rotación continua (que les funciona, eso sí)

Expectacular sitio. Entras a través de una carniceria y llegas a un patio interior fabuloso.
Preparan una brandada de bacalao que quita el sentido.
Cocina a la vista de todos y una variedad enorme de platos.
Lo dicho, expectacular.

O espaço é incrível e repleto de opções e bolsos. Também muito animado e atendimento impecável porém tive um jantar no pátio principal que não vale o preço. Achei bem salgado no valor para o que oferece. Existem milhares de opções no chiado com o mesmo estilo de gastronomia, deliciosos e com preço justo.

Mal servicio. Traen los platos a destiempo, te cambian los cubiertos mientras continuas comiendo(aparece una mano tras de ti con un cuchillo y encuentra el hueco entre tu mano y la mesa) y te sirven el principal (más frio que los abrazos de tu suegro) cuando ni siquiera has acabado el plato anterior. Ya para colmo comienzan a servir el pescado de otra mesa, ayudándose de la mano(no hubo revisión de la jugada con el VAR) . Para acabar la velada te traen la cuenta"mal". Auténtico camarote de los hermanos Marx.

Wir wurden satt und das Essen war warm. Ich würde gerne mehr gutes berichten, aber das ist mir leider nicht möglich. DAS Lokal wurde nett aufbereitet, typisch Systemgastro. Die Musik war uns zu laut und trotzdem halt es innen unangenehm, selbst wenn nur 50 % der Tische besetzt sind. Die Kellner waren bemüht immer weiter zu verkaufen aber nach 2 Gängen war bei uns Schluss. Wir würden hier nicht mehr herkommen, für uns ist das Restaurant leider nicht authentisch, schade um die wertvolle Zeit. Die Preise sind für die Qualtität aus unserer Sicht unangemessen hoch, im Vergleich zu umliegenden Lokalen teilweise doppelt so hoch. Herausheben müssen wir jedoch die Anzahl der Kellner, hier sind rekordverdächtig viele am werken.

Food was fabulous. Great atmosphere for the first part of our meal. Prices are a little high but speaks to the quality of the ingredients. My only concern was that we were sat quite happily at a table in the corner of the restaurant. The restaurant was practically empty yet they sat another group of 2 directly beside us who were very loud and quite obnoxious. I understand it is easier for the waiter to have customers in the same section but the tables were so close together, it was impossible to hear each other and no where to turn in the corner. Perhaps just an oversight, perhaps not a big deal to some people. This would have been a 5* review but had to knock off 2 stars because we left as soon as our mains were finished to escape. Sorry... maybe we will try again another time.

Chose this place because it was on the Michelin Guide. We ate at Páteo, food was good but certainly not spectacular, didnt think the presentation or service was Michelin level either. Had much better fare at smaller establishments in the city for a much more reasonable price and better service.

Fui com um amigo uma das noites do Aconchego Carioca. Eles me transportaram de volta ao Rio de Janeiro com o menu e o ambiente criado.
O lugar é muito bonito, com diferentes espaços onde curtir de diferente comida.
Tudo estava muito muito bom, desde os petiscos até a caipirinha.
Só um detalhe, achei o menu um pouco pesado para jantar.
Totalmente recomendável! Vou voltar na minha proxima visita à Lisboa.

Not fine dinning but pretty close. Overall a pleasant gastronomic experience with some fusion atypical portuguese dishes. Service is average, ambient is informal and decorations are also average. Toilets are terrible. A bit overpriced considering the combination of all the previous factors. Ideal for family or business dining.

Armadilha para turistas. Pedimos 3 pratos e todos tinham o mesmo sabor. Sabor nem bom nem ruim, algo indistinto como um "fast food" qualquer. Indigno da reputação do chef Avillez. Serviço demorado; depois de esperar 35 min tivemos de reclamar porque os mini-pratos pedidos não tinham sido servidos.

The octopus was great and so was the steak. But the tuna was very bland and there was the same sauce to fish and meat dishes. For these prices, one would expect more creativity, especially to the side dishes. Service made mistakes - brought dishes in a random order... a good experience but not the best I had in the city for this money.

Great food... fish was a little off for my taste, but good overall. Pricing is fair, place is big somewhat noisy, pretty nice decor. I enjoyed my time... I will have to come back to try something else so my expectation are met for such a restaurant.

Our servers were so polite and friendly. The atmosphere and unique design was wonderful and inviting. Perfect timing with all courses, as if someone was watching and new when to arrive. The dishes were exquisite, so tasteful and perfect temperature. Dessert.....my wife could not say enough about the strawberry delight. Wow. This place has it going. Thank you chefs and Chef Avillez.

La atención es buena y el personal es amable.
La calidad de los ingredientes relucen en sus platos. Los panes y mantequillas son deliciosos. El picapau muy rico y las salsas deliciosas, excepto la de aguacate que no tenía ni una pizca de sal.
El arroz meloso era mas bien caldoso pero estaba riquísimo, el lomo de bacalao estaba bueno, a destacar la emulsión de cebollas sofritas, espectacular! pero la sopa de açorda de gambas estaba super sosa.

Gostei. Ambiente moderno, Alegre, mas o garçom achei despreparado. Garoto novo, deve trabalhar ali pra pagar as contas e deve estudar a noite, nada contra, só que não é um garçom profissional, mas a as entradas compensaram estavam muito boas. Não experimentei o restaurante só a taberna.

Segunda vez que estive no local, e nenhuma delas me agradou. Na primeira vez, no restaurante, achei os pratos bem medianos pelo preço que cobra. Na segunda vez, para comer tapas, o atendimento foi péssimo, demorou quase uma hora para chegar alguns dos pratos. Cobramos várias vezes, mas fomos praticamente ignorados pelo nosso garçom. Reclamamos, e aí fomos atendidos por outra pessoa (acho que o gerente), que inclusive deu um desconto e pediu desculpas pelo ocorrido. Os pratos que vieram estavam gostosos (mas não valem o preço, definitivamente).

Restaurante de culinária portuguesa ótimo para petiscar e beber. O ambiente moderno, com destaque para as peças de embutidos e presuntos penduradas, sob um letreiro de taberna.
O lugar é agitado, com garçons correndo a todo instante. Não peça apenas um prato, será pequeno, a ideia é provar vários e compartilhar na mesa, como um bar de tapas. Peça o sanduíche de leitão, sensacional! Para beber peça a sangria, bem refrescante. A experiencia não será a mais barata em Lisboa, preços um pouco acima, porém vale pela comida ambiente. Detalhe importante: o cardápio é muito fraco de opções para vegetarianos.

Most food items arrived cold. Some of our orders were forgotten and had to be reordered, and one wrong dish arrived for which we were charged (fair enough, we ate it). Waitress was apparently new but completely messed up orders, which kept being brought to the wrong tables. Lots of apologies but overall bad service and very mediocre (somewhat overpriced) food considering how well people speak of this restaurant. Ambience was nice though, the old market place makes for a nice setting.

Regrettable dining experience.
I made a dinner reservation in advance for a Friday night because of all the good things I’ve read.
HORRIBLE WAITER:
Unfortunately, I encountered the worst waiter I’ve ever come across in my life. I didn’t catch his name, but he had a beard and glasses. He took our order wrong and sent us an appetizer after we said we asked about it and declined ordering it. Another waiter was the one to serve us this appetizer, but when we said we didn’t order it, he said we could eat it anyway and he’ll take it off the bill.
Our waiter came to our table several times to take away plates we weren’t finished with, without asking. Finally, when he gave us our bill, he overcharged us 4 different drinks plus the appetizer we didn’t order! We explained that we never ordered those drinks, but he only took 2 off the bill, so we had to ask him again. He took off the drinks but refused to take off the appetizer because we ate it. We tried to explain with him calmly, but he never took a second to listen and started yelling at us “you ate!”. Every time we tried to nicely interact with the waiter, he was impatient, rude, and barely even looked at us.
Finally, we had to ask for the manager who was very kind and understanding. We weren’t even concerned about the bill anymore, we just wanted to voice our opinions about how our waiter was extremely unprofessional.
MEDIOCRE FOOD:
My friend and I both got the aged beef picanha. It came with a side of fries. Both the beef and fries were lukewarm. The beef was nicely grilled, but it was incredibly chewy and hard to swallow. For 17€, I’ve tasted much better dishes in Lisbon.
Overall, I feel like I wasted my time and money having a meal at this restaurant. The chic decor and well designed website fooled me.

A mí la comida me encantó!!!! Es cierto que las cantidades son excesivamente pequeñas...pero está todo rico! Nosotros entramos en la taberna, la historia del patio ni nos lo comentaron... El personal fue muy amable, pero tengo la sensación de que, en general, el restaurante debe mejorar el servicio al cliente, me refiero al trato, a las comidas, etc.

No me ha gustado mucho este sitio. Todo me ha parecido excesivamente caro. Los platos no eran muy grandes ni la comida estaba demasiado rica teniendo en cuenta la calidad de los productos. Pedimos lubina con una base de puré de patatas que sí me gustó mucho pero, por el precio del plato, esperaba una lubina entera y no solo un filete. También pedimos el arroz de pescado que, para mi gusto y después de haber probado muchos otros, dejaba mucho que desear. Creo que hay muchos sitios en Lisboa mucho mejores que este en relación calidad-precio.

Pues el sitio es bastante chulo. El problema es que el servicio es espantoso. Que sean lentos, hay escusa.. Demasiado lleno, hay que tener paciencia. Te ponen sopa sin cuchara. La camarera te tira la sopa en la mesa y sale corriendo. El resto del pedido no llega. Tampoco puedes tomar algo mientras esperas, porque nadie te toma nota. Cuando consigues parar a alguien para pedir, te dice que te esperes, pero tampoco te ayuda. Pides la cuenta y el datafono, pero te traen la cuenta mal, vuelves a pedir el datafono, te traen la cuenta bien pero sin el datafono. Y solo te traen porque te pones el abrigo para salir. Si hay tiempo para jugar con los de la mesa al lado, hay que tener tiempo para tomar nota de los demás y traer lo que se pide. Lamentable.

Были в основном ресторане. Не путайте, при входе не ресторан, а типа кафешки! Кухня скучная. Салат с киноа никакой. Стейк ждала почти час. Стейк принесли с высокой картошкой фри и салатом, который был залит уксусом да состояния щипания губ. У мужа суп с морепродуктами горько-острый. Никакой дискотеки, авторства или изюминки в еде, к большому сожалению, не нашли. Плюсом к этому очень долгое обслуживание, хотя ресторан отнюдь не полон, и недешёвые цены.

Fiquei desiludido e ainda por cima estava a apresentar Lisboa a uma pessoa que não é português. O espaço é enorme, torna-se muito confuso, acaba por ter muito ruído e perde conforto por isso mesmo, contudo tem um aspecto convidativo e agradável à vista. Relativamente à comida, esqueceram-se de nós por cerca de duas horas e fomos nós que tivemos que chamar a atenção de um dos empregados. A comida para um chefe, ficou aquém do muito bom, falta de uma explosão de sabores, êxtase, fui lá com essa intenção. A salada de entrada era um amontoado de folhas verdes com um molho e um pouco de carne, tipo na apresentação zero e no sabor, tipo eu até fazia melhor. Faltava uma conjunção de frutos secos, talvez citrinos ou algo assim, era descabida. A sopa de peixe foi divinal, aí sim ja ganhou alguns pontos, uma sopa de peixe que remota automaticamente para sabores alentejanos. O Robalo com puré e feijão verde sabia bem, mas faltava charme ao prato e mais uma vez faltou a explosão de sabores, que nos fizesse “chorar por mais”. Ou seja uma espaço que poderia ser fantástico mas que não me deixa saudades. Para mim, o Avilez está a abrir tantos espaços que torna-se numa espécie de fábrica, os espaços deixam de ter personalidade. Um bem haja.

You must come here when in Lisbon! Service is amazing! And the food is the best we have had since arriving by far. We got the octopus and was the best we have ever tried so tender and the sauce had a little kick it was perfection! We also order the shrimp but we were warn they were cold and you have to peel them yourself we said we prefer them warm and they brought us a hot dish of shrimp delicious!! Highly recommending this place!

On the good side: tasty fish cake and beef croquette appetizers also tasty pateo punch. On the less good side: My cod loin entree was over done and really dry and the potatoes were under seasoned. Also, the use fake plants everywhere detract from the atmosphere. Not worth it for the price point, IMO.

The bad experience with the service, all the extras that they charge and their judgmental behavior left a very bad impression to my experience there.
The local wine is quite young but good, be careful with the menu ! Portions are far smaller than what they are meant on the menu.

Service and food were both awful at Pateo. Slow service, salty, very bland food. Worst seafood soup I ever had anywhere. My wife had the Acorda de Camarao . It was brown, thick, and so unappetizing she couldn’t even put it in her mouth. All hype!

The restaurant was beautifully decorated and the service was wonderful! However, I was a little disappointed with the food. I had read so many great reviews and many individuals recommended it but I thought the food was good but not the best in Lisbon. Had higher expectations for the food. For the amount of food given, it was a little expensive. But that’s okay! Worth a try!

Food was pretty good but not memorable...our waiter changed during the meal and we had to ask for refills, menus, another glass of wine. Oddly aloof service. Food came out so fast it felt rushed. No wine list except on an iPad which is annoying.

We were at the Patio ,
I chose wine from the top selection ( as listed by the restaurant), and I asked the waiter for his recommendation between two dishes. So you would imaging that in a high end restaurant I would be eating well...
Unfortunately the ingredients were not fresh, the seasoning for the grilled vegetables was cheap store-bought pesto, and the fish was over cooked.
Here you pay top price for quality that wouldn't even rival carnival food...
I also wasn't fond of the fact that, when my partner asked for her steak to be a little more cooked, the kitchen actually threw her piece out, and sent a new one even though only one bite was taken out of it. I guess that piece of meat wasn't worth the 33 euros they were charging for it...
If you don't want subpar food, please go elsewhere.

An amazing restaurant, great service and delicious food and wines! The only downfall is the service was slow but as they were so kind and welcoming we forgave that. We arrived from London in a party of 8 and it was a birthday meal for my good friend. The restaurant were lovely enough to arrange a birthday treat for my friend, we cannot fault the food at all we enjoyed various options from seafood to meats. There is also a secret door in the back for a cabaret show, the staff were nice enough to show us around even after the show was over. If you are in Lisbon this is a must visit!

Pateo: Very unimpressive. Perhaps it was an off night but, we found the service poor, the presentation lackluster, and food sub-par. It seemed like the only flavor used to season the food was too much salt (Sea Bass and Meagre). For all of the hype, we could have found better food for a fraction of the price. On the plus side, the decor and ambience were nice while the bread and flavored butter were delicious.

A empregada de mesa serviu pratos lascados e quando lhe foi pedido para trocar respondeu que era normal estarem lascados e eram todos assim. Sou fã e cliente da comida do Pateo - Bairro do Avillez, mas tive uma péssima experiência na minha última ida por vários motivos.
Realizei a reserva pelo site para as 20h30 entretanto por alguns problemas retratados pelo hostess (que por sinal foi bastante mal educando comigo e com minha família) só pudemos sentar as 21 horas, estando com idosos na mesa.
Quando chamei o garçom, o mesmo alegou que estava muito ocupado e que não poderia anotar meu pedido e somente as 21h30 ele retornou para atender a nossa mesa. A comida que SEMPRE foi incrível, desta vez estava extremamente FRIA !!
Pedimos café no fim da refeição, porém depois de meia hora de espera por um café, desistimos e pedimos a conta. E a reação do garçom e do hostess ?? Resmungos e cara feia, na frente dos clientes !!! Falta profissionalismo, respeito e atenção! Uma pena ter um atendimento tão fraco, hostess mal preparado e garçons em quantidade reduzida. Ah Chefe Avillez, não degrina seu nome, sua comida é boa, mas não é só isso que garante a qualidade de um restaurante... Que decepção !!!

Service is perfunctory at best, downright rude and combative at worst. Waiters forgot our order and snarkily asked us if we wanted to cancel it "because you are full". Word of advice - your food ain't revolutionary, so you may want to retink treatimg tourists like trash. This is place is very nice, and the food is delicious. We ordered the picahna medium rare, it was bajes perfectly and the taste was extremely good.
Staff is also very fast and friendly.
Desserts also look very good.
Definitely a recommendation!

Excelente atendimento! Garçons cordiais e atenciosos. A comida é mais que excelente, não tenho adjetivos. Comemos vários pratos (crocrete, sopa, tábua de embutidos, cone de peixe, bacalhau, polvo vinho e sobremesa), pois são feitos em pequenas porções, justamente para dividirmos e não encher a barriga. Uma nota 11 para o polvo ao molho Kimchi e batata doce (sem palavras). De sobremesa pastel de nata com sorvete de café acompanhado com vinho do porto... Nota 12 Coisa linda de Deus!

Best dinner we had in Portugal! Between the friendly wait staff, fun atmosphere, and delicious food Barrio do Avillez was our favorite restaurant during our week long trip across the country. The meat was cooked to perfection, the sangria was very fresh, and the dessert was fantastic. (We were so full by the end of our meal that we almost skipped dessert, but we had try it because of how good everything else was.) I’d definitely recommend a visit if you can get in!

Interior is very nice, and food tasted great (I had the grilled squid risotto) but a bit too salty. However, the service I received from my waitress was terrible; she was brief and rude with me, with a frown the entire time, I felt uncomfortable. I receive friendly service at McDonalds. The problem seemed to be with just my waitress though, as every other waiter in the restaurant seemed friendly with the customers. I also ended up with the stomach flu after eating the food here.

Place is nice however we were placed just in front of the door and there were plenty of people opening the door and keeping it open. This was very disturbing as you can imagine since it was like dining outside. Service was slow and not organized. They forgot the Sangria and we had to ask it again to get it. In 2 we paid 60€ but we left the place still a bit hungry

No lo recomiendo. Pedimos una botella de vino tinto y una de blanco y al cabo de 15 minutos que no la tenian.
Repetimos la orden con otros dos vinos tambien de la carta y alos 15 minutos nos dijeron que no los tenian.
Repetimos la orden y fimalmente habian los que pedimos por tercera vez, pero que los otros se habian acabado porque el dia anterior habia mucha gente y era lunes.
Ordenamos la comida y luego una hora, algunos platos dijero que no los tenian... Que solo para una persona. Tro pidio robalo y al final dijeron que no lo habia.
Una corvina acompanada de polenta con chorizo. Horrible la combinacion.
Una ensalada buena. Un arroz caldoso acceptable..

Recommendations: The cured pork selection was great, really good aftertaste as well. The tomato salad was refreshing. The horse mackerel cone is a must and the boiled prawns is standard.
Skippable:
The tuna steak's herb sauce was overwhelming the flavor of the tuna, and the octopus wasn't as tender as expected and was a bit salty.

He probado la taberna, donde ponen las tapas, y puedo decir que son variadas y ricas. Es un mix de comida típica y moderna. Es un sitio ideal para ir con alguien para compartir varias tapas y cenar de picoteo.
Recomiendo ir pronto, ya que se llena bastante y suele haber colas (unos 20 min de espera). Puedes esperar tomando algo en un pequeño bar que tienen.

The building, atmosphere and service were all excellent. The main Pateo room is a beautiful place to eat. The food however was very average which is why the review is not 5 stars. If they just focussed on the quality of the food (cod and pork were both over cooked) then this would be our favourite place in Lisbon.

Not good. Food was just okay. The exploding olive was basically just olive juice. Service was terrible. Thanks for spilling the juice from the meat on table and leaving it there for the duration. We were a table of six. Paid €200 for a meal where we all left hungry. The “big shrimp” was gross. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. You’re better off going anywhere else. I’ve never been so disappointed with Portuguese food or service.

I wish I could give 4.5 stars, food is just great, no complaints at all, service is good not great. For example, the table beside us has been gone for 30 mins and their bottle of wine is still 3 inches beside us, server is friendly and gave great suggestions but spilled our wine and didn’t clean it up. To get a real 5-star rating they need more space between tables and more attentive service. Jack up the prices by 10% and improve service and this place is excellent.

Wow this place was lovely! We didn't book a table but got seated fairly quick as we were just 2 people.
The Prawns were lovely - perfectly cooked and so good in garlic and butter!
After eating so much Pastels before hand never thought they would impress me on dessert. But the Pastel nata with gelado was amazing! perfect ending to a perfect meal!
To top it all off the venue is beautiful. Definately a lovely chilled out meal!

Although the dining space at Pateo is beautiful we found our dinner there this week to be one of our least favorite of the 18 or so dinners and lunches we had in Spain and Portugal over 10 days.
The wine list was impressive at the high end but Inadequate at the low end and comparitively high priced all around. My daughter's vegetable dishes were fine. My wife's Prawns Acorda, which on the menu states is a " must try Portuguese dish" was impressively presented and tasty but in the end was 5 or 6 decent sized shrimp in a LOT of rich sauce with no way to enjoy it except with a spoon. Rice or another starch would have been helpful. We just left it in the bowl. My strip loin steak was the least enjoyable of the 3 steaks we had on the trip. It just was not as flavorful and not nearly as tender as the other two we had. The best was found at The Time Out Market, which is a feast for the senses. The other was in Granada, Spain at La Reina Issabel's in the Hotel Marquis. Fabulous steak, fabulous meal and a good value.

This restaurant was recommended & without reservations we were whisked into the area Pateo around 7:30 pm. At table for 25 minutes; no service, no greeting! Others were ordering already who had arrived after us; different server! At last, some service so asked for wine list & finally he returned to take order! Now I did get my pour within 15 mins but my husband’s built non alcoholic beverage took 30 more minutes! Man, we had actually forgotten about it. To be fair, he said it was yummy! Food came, but barely warm! Look, lack of good service, food obviously sitting on the pass too long & then being served to the customer! Made for a long night just getting dinner! Would recommend only for a nosh & drink ! Stay casual & maybe the experience would be better! Very crowded & bustling place!

Aufmerksames und freundliches Personal, wir mussten an der Bar warten um einen Platz zum Essen zu bekommen, hier wurden wir mit leckeren Cocktails versorgt. Sehr zu empfehlen war der Sour de Bairro :)

Massively overpriced, crowed, food ok, but not at all worth the price, maybe if it would cost half de price. Service just terrible, for a restaurant that the average dish price is 30€ and a averege meal is 60€, the service should be much better. Not only don't they serve the wine on our glass, it is the costumer that as to do it, it is impossible to call a waiter. But the awfull service started at the beginning, we had a table reserved one week in advance, we arrive at the restaurant 15m before the time, and a member of the staff asked us to wait in the corner. After 10minutes and other conversation with the staff, the person in charge said, that since we hadn't talk directly with him, our table as already occupied and that we had to wait for another, all of this conversation without and apologies and with a rude tone. The rest of the meal as unsatisfactory and expensive. The ambience is nice.

WOW, what a gem right in the heart of Lisbon. Catarina our host had great suggestions of plates to try.
The presentation and taste/quality of food blown my taste buds and mind away.
There are two restaurantes inside and we definitely need to comeback to keep tasting the different options there menu offers.

Good as always. The food is really flavourful and a personal twist on Portuguese food.
If you are a meat eater the prego no bolo do caco is a must.
The cocktails are also nice.
Our waiter was quite kind and based on our choices even made her own recommendation of the order in which to bring them out.
We did feel the staff was a bit overwhelmed and was hard to get their attention as they rarely looked at any tables - and the tables around us had to remind them of things that were missing.
Other than that we had a great time and a great meal.

Fajny wystrój i przyzwoite jedzenie. Niestety nic nie tłumaczy tak wysokich cen. W Lizbonie wiele jest fantastycznych miejsc z równie dobrym lub lepszym jedzeniem za połowę tej kwoty. Nie ma uzasadnienia by aż tak przepłacać.

Stopped in for lunch and was seriously disappointed. Prices were high compared to the portion size, not to mention the lack of flavor in the tiny dishes as well. Some staff members were friendly and personable, while others were a bit rude. Highly overrated. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

We had dinner at the Taberna yesterday. Everything we ordered was simply delicious!!!
(Not sure about the cod soup... a bit too pesto-like for our taste).
But we definitely will be back!!!!

Really great location. We enjojed the tappas bar. Amazing food with extraordinary taste just great.
Update: A year later and the food is great as always. We had a grilled lettuce heart as first course and then a thuna steak wit pines. What can I say: it was more than great. The Thuna was enlightening. Other Star Restaurants doesn't serve food for that price. The Service is fast and kind. And the top of the desserts is the salted caramel. Wow!!

This place is really good. We sat on the Pateo side and had a great seafood meal. My wife had a soup with lobster in it and I had the swordfish. The waiter was very helpful recommending a wine pairing to go with as well as a port wine to end the night. Get there early, because it got packed!

Заказали рыбу на гриле, и креветки на гриле, + салат и бутылку белого вина 150 евро. После чего интерес со стороны халдея к нам был потерян. Ресторан по португальским меркам дорогой, но концепция больше подходит для Фаст фуда. Лично в моем понимании, просто сьедобной еды не достаточно, для позиционирования ресторана высокого ценового уровня. Дорогой ресторан, это еда, + сервис+ атмосфера. Тут только еда, и на мой взгляд очень среднего качества. Простите качество еды после которой болит живот я не рассматриваю. Если это максимум что мог создать известный португальский повар, я рекомендую избегать всех его мест.

i have to say this place is overrated! service was very bad, they were rush to take our unfinished plates away and rush to ask us to order. as soon as the waiter took away our last plate, the bill hand on our table. i felt that we had to quickly order , finish food and leave. overall the food was good , but service can be improve.

Nice restaurant worth a visit. The interior is very well designed and it has a nice atmosphere. The food was fairly good for the price but the service was very slow. It could be run more efficiently - the wait for a reserved table took a good 10 minutes to be sat down. The queue was long with only 1 waitress managing it. When sat down, we constantly had to ask to order and pay the bill. It’s ok but there are better restaurants in Lisbon to visit.

Came here for lunch. We were greeted with a smile, was given the option for tapas or a sit down meal at the back. We waited 20 mins in the waiting area which we didnt mind as I had a coffee and my partner enjoyed a beer in that time. Overall the meal is expensive but excellent service if you get the right waiter/waitress. Our waiter had a smile on his face every time he addressed us.
Food: 4/5. Squid cooked well, black rice good texture
Seafood rice - it was good but not the best we had in Lisbon. Imo for seafood rice you want to go more local and traditional places.
Service is 5/5 by our waiter. There was an older waiter who gave us weird looks at the beginning then mumbled something to his colleague because we declined his offer of bottled still water (since we had already ordered beer at the table). Glad we didn't have him for service the whole time.
Would recommend this place to any visitor, although menu very pricey.

Service was sub par for the restaurant that its supposed to be. The waiter forgot several things from our order of which we asked if they were coming or not he said he forgot so we asked if the main was going to take long he said yes then about 2 min later the main arrived with the rest of the starters... Over priced for the food served although the passion fruit desert was nice though.

Absolutely do not miss! We came here for a tapas lunch on our last day in Lisbon, but if we'd been in town any longer we'd have come back twice more to try everything on the menu! Flavorful, creative twists on Portuguese classics and deceptively big portions.

We were a large group who visited in June and there was a great deal of pre-visit admin with a very limited menu offered to us in the end. Our experience on the night was awful. Our cod was gone off and the steak truly indelible. It was a terrible meal and we are not an overly fussy or difficult bunch. They offered us a voucher for two people for dinner as acknowledgement of the experience which in truth was an insult. We won’t return!

Wir sind mit der hohen Erwartungen die günstigere Küche eines Sternekochs zu erfahren. Leider wurden die Erwartungen nicht erfüllt. Das Essen war gut aber mehr nicht. Der Service schlecht (Essen wurden verwechselt und nicht gleichzeitig gebracht). Das Ambiente ist dagegen super.

Seafood at Panteo was delicious and everyone enjoyed the atmosphere, which is comfortably informal. However, as expected from a restaurant specialising in seafood, the meat wasn't up to snuff. My dad ordered the steak tartare but it was poorly seasoned and overall not enjoyable. Service was fantastic. I can highly recommend!

This place is fantastic, we came here for a birthday meal, something a little special and it didn’t disappoint! The steak was beautifully cook and the tuna was amazing. All the staff were conscientious and super friendly. It was a little pricey but well worth it. We’d return in a heart beat!

Een plek waar je binnen 15 minuten een culinair 3 gangen diner kunt eten.
Restaurant met goede atmosfeer. Eten is zeer goed "culinaire" , maar wordt heel snel opgediend (lijkt wel sneller dan bij mcdonalds).
Onze bediening minder of te onervaren voor type restaurant. Hoofdgerecht van 3 personen werd al opgediend voordat bordjes van voorgerecht waren afgeruimd en 4e persoon kreeg 5 minuten later zijn hoofdgerecht. Na hoofdgerecht werden bordjes opgehaald zonder respons.

There are 2 restaurants with different menus... we went to the one inside the pateo .. walk in past the host of the fist restaurant to the back ... the food was great... even the sides (fries and salad) that the kids ordered were good.. we all shared some appetizers.. all of them were really good ... and our main courses prawn acorda and the grilled sea bass were phenomenal

Great product, beautiful space, and both food and drinks are tasty and well made. Service was a huge let down. For a place of such high quality they are glacially slow. It is clear poor training and organisation is the reason. I found the experience frustrating.

We had an amazing dinner on a Thursday evening. Firstly, make a reservation. This is a Michelin recognized restaurant of on of Lisboa's top chefs, so don't expect to just show up and get an immediate seating.
After receiving solid recommendations on two wines to try from the waitress we dove into exploring the menu.
We were not up for a large dinner so didn't select from the "made with breads" or "on the coals", even though the aged beef picanha with smoked garlic cream looked amazing.
We started with the croquettes and cozido pie. Both were very good, however the croquettes took the top grades.
Next we shared two salads, the grilled lettuce hearts with pear and walnut vinaigrette which was a great balance of sweet and tart; and the asparagus and mushrooms with eggplant caviar and yogurt which was a great balance of taste and texture.
From the small plates we started with the octopus in kiimchi sauce and sweet potato and Oven roasted Nisa cheese. While if you have had kimchi in Korea it will not give the same complex flavor, it does balance the tender octopus very well, and the boiled sweet potato slices add a nice texture. The Nisa cheese was my absolute favorite dish of the evening, I am not quite sure what the sweet element was but am guessing pear. The combination of the hot baked cheese and tangy tomato chutney was OMG amazing!
The last small plate was the linguica sausage, of which I only had a small, but enjoyable taste.
The meal was capped with the salted caramel dessert which was unlike any other I have had before. The top layer was a combination of salted popcorn, creamy chocolate fudge pieces, crunchy chocolate rice and smoked salt, the next layer way a light fluffy whipped caramel, with the bottom layer of salted caramel icecream. Mmmmm.
With two glasses of wine, and two well built Moscow mules it was an extremely enjoyable meal at a very reasonable price.
The wait staff were attentive and helpful with recommendations. The atmosphere was electric, very busy place, and being seated next to the kitchen service area we got to see many of the other dishes as well.
We would highly recommend taking a meal here.

Good service with cheerful staff but choose this place only for drinks and cold cuts. Had 3 different dishes only one was good which was the octopus. Prices are a quite in the expensive side as wel because the portions are quite small.

Very cozy place serving wonderful food. Different types of tapas, good selection of drinks. Consists of various spaces connected, so one can choose from different seating options. Very interesting decoration. Service very friendly and efficient, prices normal. Highly recommended.

Lovely food in a friendly, buzzy space. I had the pork lettuce wrap which was tasty, with Asian and Portugese flavours, and the Hanger Steak with chimichurri, with the fun salted caramel dessert (you won’t be allowed to forget to dig your spoon all the way to the bottom to get the full experience!). One star knocked off as the service was patchy – when it was good it was excellent, quick, friendly and helpful, but other waiting staff were less attentive, and we had to prompt to get drinks and orders taken.

The best bistro in Lisbon. This guy is a genius. Mr Avillez has 2 Michelin stars but he creates a few cheaper bistro type restaurants for diners to enjoy his creation.
His house rose wine is incredibly juicy succulent and deliciously divine. At €18 it is also a bargain!
THE ATRIUM IN THE BACK IS probably a bit quiet but it has a beautiful skylight and the decor is friendly and bright.

Really nice restaurant which is much bigger than expected as it extends a long way into the back with a great bar area and views into the kitchen.
We only went for drinks and bar snacks but seeing the dishes come out we would have loved to stay for dinner as they looked gorgeous!

Superbe endroit, personnel agréable et que dire du repas excellent.
Les desserts sont a tomber par terre et le digestif en accompagnement vaut le détour.
Le patéo est superbe, il vaut mieux réserver et demander une table à l'étage.
Pour les francophones demander Mélanie qui est très sympa et s'occupe de l'accueil a l'entrée du restaurant.

Unfortunately the worst experience we have had in portugal and the most expensive. We made a reservation and were seen to with confusion and delay. We ordered wine which was forgotten. The waitress laughed at us on multiple occasions and when we decided to leave after the starter she then started to backtrack on apologies which felt insincere. The cost for 2 drinks, an appetiser and 2 starters came to 75 euros which is pretty unbelievable, seeing as the prawns were overcooked and the razor clams still had the grit in them and tasted totally bland. Go to a local tapas joint this is not worth the money!

Very disappointing. Our dishes (seabass and grilled squid) were surprisingly tasteless. The place is overdimensioned and lacks real ambiance. It is an imitation of a traditional Portuguese place. The fact that the owner now has close to 10 restaurants and this is the first thing being advertised on the menu should be a warning: this is a chain restaurant at its worst. Extremely overpriced.

Excellent dinner and service. Very fresh seafood prepared to perfection. Dessert with fresh berries and chocolate was amazing. Jose Avilles' restaurant Belcanto was announced on the 50 World's Best Restaurants list while we were there, so it was an especially festive, happy vibe. Don't miss this one.

Wir kamen kurz vor Küchenschluss um 14.45 Uhr zu 7. und wurden trotzdem noch super bedient und es wurde uns auch noch Dessert serviert. Das Essen war durchweg gut, allerdings im oberen Preissegment. Da hatte ich eigentlich noch ein bisschen mehr erwartet, daher nur 4 Sterne.
