5 estrelas. Conheci este hotel antes de ser remodelado, a remodelação foi grande e muito boa, está muito bonito! O quarto é super confortável e o design com muito bom gosto. Adorei a qualidade das tolhas de banho bem cheirosas e dos amenities da Rituals. Tem uma vista panorâmica magnífica, excelente para apanhar banhos de sol e contemplar o pôr e nascer do sol. Staff muito simpático. Pequeno almoço muito bom. Não precisa de transportes porque situa-se no centro de tudo praia, bares, restaurantes. Recomendo e espero voltar.

We recently stayed at this hotel and was very disappointed. - The bed was very damp and there was a strange smell. - The room also had mould growing all over. - We did not sleep at night because of the noise outside. The staff were nice but ignored my complaint.

Excellent hotel, superbly positioned in the Old Town. Service was excellent, best illustrated by the fact that one of the managers brought in his own decaffeinated coffee because there wasn't any in the room. The pool bar was very good, both for lunch and breakfast, but the main restaurant wasn't yet up & running because the hotel had just re-opened after major refurbishment. Would definitely recommend.

The hospitality was 20/10. My partner and I felt so welcomed that we are definitely staying there again when we return to Albufeira. It’s nice to be at a hotel where the staff is all smiles and ready to help with whatever request you may have. The spa is amazing, the underground pool was such a great experience and the water was at a perfect temperature. The breakfast was superb, I struggled to finish the cakes offered at the end from how full I felt.. The rooftop is very chill and has an amazing view, they have this area next to the pool that has beanbags on top of a net where you can see quite a few floors down.. it’s for those brave ones who aren’t afraid of heights! I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a wonderful hotel experience.

Taste of paradise! The hotel is beautifully designed, the beds are super comfy, the staff are all lovely and everything you need is right on the doorstep. I had an unforgettable week with memories I will cherish forever!

Situato in pieno centro con doppia entrata molto comoda per lasciare i bagagli prima di parcheggiare l'auto da una parte mentre dall'altra si esce direttamente nel cuore della città. Ristrutturato di recente con smart tv da 55" in camera e letti comodissimi, molto spaziosa e funzionale la doccia. Personale disponibile e cordiale, colazione super con smooties e spremute fresche, buona selezione di cibi dolci. Molto bella e grande la Spa.

Unique property - two buildings co-joined on the sixth floor, which had a pool, very generous sunning area on two floors, and the breakfast/lunch area, right in the centre of old town Albufeira. Breakfast, incidentally, was actually quite good, very nice choices.The bedroom we had, designated M, was very adequate.

In the middle of the town. Loads of restaurants outside the doorstep. Not too noisy when you get into the room. No parking space available for guests need to park at the private parking in the area. The sea is not a long walk to get there. Nice decor inside the room. Staffs are very friendly and helpful.

Un hotel recién reformado y moderno, decorado con colores claros y con una atención y servicio fuera de serie. Habitaciones con terraza, excelente minibar y aire acondicionado de lujo. Amenities de rituals y cafetera Nespresso. Zona de terraza y piscina con camas y muy buenas vistas. Cocina espléndida para picar algo y cócteles de campeonato. En definitiva un hotel moderno en pleno centro de la ciudad vieja de Albufeira, a 2 minutos de la playa y con servicios 4 estrellas superior muy diferente a la oferta hotelera y de ocio de la zona. Totalmente recomendado! Especial mención a Diogo y Olga que nos han cuidado mejor que en nuestra casa!

This ultra modern adults only hotel was a joy to visit. All white with occasional blue decor is fantastic. It has two entrances with reception at both. Its situated in the centre of all the nightlife action that Albufera has to offer. Two minute walk to the beach either thru the hustle and bustle of the bars and shops or a quiet downhill walk. Breathtaking views from most of the rooms. Staff very friendly and multilingual. It was a relaxing stay for 3 nights.

Fantastic hotel in a prime location (albeit slightly noisier than usually at night being located on bar street) . That said, it did not bother us in the slightest. Only slight niggle is storage space and lack of balcony. Being of a modern style open plan wardrobes I understand, but more than 2 drawers would have been preferred as we had to store most of our clothes in piles below the wardrobe rail. Again a balcony was almost expected so nowhere to dry swimwear and towels was a niggle. However the pool area, staff, sun beds and rest of amenities definitely compensated for these.Although on the slightly more expensive side, worth ever penny and will be returning in the future.

Perfect location, walking distance from everything. Nice pool area. Is somewhat noisy at night due to the central location but was still able to get a good nights rest. Would recommend.

Hotel recién reformado. Habitaciones completamente blancas e impecables, súper limpias. En ellas no te faltará de nada: ducha muy grande, water independiente. El gel y el champú es de la marca Rituals (incluso en el baño de la piscina). En el restaurante se come muy bien, lo mejor el desayuno: smoothies y bizcocho casero recién hechos, además de gran variedad de productos y desayuno americano. La zona de la piscina mola mucho pues tiene muchas hamacas y es tipo chill out. Organizan catas de vino, de gin tonic, etc. El personal es súper amable y agradable. Se encuentra muy bien ubicado: a 5 minutos de la playa dos pescadores y en pleno centro de la ciudad para salir de fiesta. Sin duda lo recomiendo, volveremos!!

The staff really were incredible, all were extremely helpful especially Jessica on reception. Room was cleaned every day to a very good standard, everything is white so can be difficult to make look clean but it was each day. Location for the beach, bars and restaurant is great, nothings more than a 3 minute walk away. If you want to stay away from everything though the pool was a perfect place to relax.

Fresh and modern , maybe the best hotel around, great staff & service, you should book the breakfast.. it’s perfect. The location is next to the strip. We had a room next to the pool and it was quiet enough for some good sleep. I would recommend to inform the Check-in about your plans (Party or Relaxing). If some time left, go to the Bar. They will serve you some great drinks. Ask for Oleksiy (Not just water added Juice) Please note that the most recommendations are for the old hotel !! I was also a bit confused !! But it’s all new !

Houve um furto no apartamento 303 durante nossa estadia. Ficamos muito assustados. Total falta de segurança e de responsabilidade do hotel. Os hóspedes não foram ressarcidos.

This hotel is VERY basic. The best thing about it is the location, which is right in the centre of Albuferia. So if you don't mind not having ANY comforts of a good standard hotel and location is more important this is the place for you.

1200 € for 7 nights in a hotel with no standing, it’s high paid..! The service is non-existent, the breakfeast is not included, the rooms are barely cleaned, they never changed the towels (unlike what is stated at the front desk), the maids don’t speak English which make the communication complicated when they ring at the door... Besides, the pool is hard to access and never cleaned. I don’t dare to talk about the location, which is certainly perfect for revellers, but a hell for those seeking a little quiet and tranquility. Indeed, the hotel is located in the heart of the city, so you can participate in the parties from your room! In conclusion, if you have the opportunity to stay elsewhere, don’t hesitate! Have a nice trip

En arrivant dans cet hôtel, nous avions un peu étés surpris par notre chambre. Grande mais vieillotte. On ne s'était pas formalisé la dessus en allant profiter du solarium et de la piscine (dont l'eau est gelée). Le soir en rentrant du Resto, l'horreur ! L'hôtel donnant sur la rue touristique principale avec tous les bars a karaoke c'est une horreur. La musique, extrêmement bruyante ne s'arrête qu'à 4h du matin et vu l'isolation des fenêtres c'est comme si vous essayiez de dormir dans le bar... Le lendemain matin je demande au réceptionniste pour changer de chambre. Il finit par me donner la clef d'une autre chambre. Nous allons voir et la, horreur une minuscule chambre insalubre avec de la moisissure partout sur les murs. Impossible de changer de chambre. Nous avons donc du acheter des boules quies avec lesquelles la musique était supportable la nuit. Cet hôtel reste un tres très mauvais souvenir !

Booked this hotel in September 2015 - didn't get to stay in it! We were allocated a room after waiting 2hrs, of which was disgustingly dirty, broken furninture. Staff appearances grubby and unpleasant (except for young male Manager), who done his best to satisfy our expectations, but after viewing a further 3 rooms that were not up to our standard of living we had a confrontation with the Owner and subsuequently evicted from the Hotel. In all my years travelling I have never witnessed an ill mannered, arogant man in my entire life. Wouldn't put my dog in this dive, not worthy of being called a Hotel ! The sad thing was this place came recommended by a travel agent in Coleraine (Weir Travel). I think they would need to address the customer services abilities too - they were so unhelpful when contacted them from Portugal. Thanks to our Jet2 Rep we were allocated alternative accommodation . Basically worst holiday of our lives! Please don't waste your money booking this place!!

The worse days of my vacation! There is no one to receive us at the location, its a ghost hotel! we are asked to go to the hotel on the side. That is 8 floors down and you need to change lifts, change buildings, and walk in a maze of dirty corridors with no airco to the reception of this other hotel where unprepared and unfriendly workers deal with a bunch of sweaty clients waiting 40 minutes on a huge line! There are not enough personel to deal with the reception. The lifts are so old and don't work properly. dirty, the room is nothing like the picture on the air bnb site!The refrigerator is old, the sat TV is a joke! There is an old tube tv 14 inches ! The bathroom is old and needs updating, the sewer smells bad with the heat of summer as we use the shower! there are exposed electrical wires everywhere in the building. On the description it was a nice room wit sat tv en private balcony to the pool. We have no balcony! The view is to a slum. Airco is very dirty and does not work good. There is no toilet paper on the bathroom of the common area. Internet connection did not work !!!! Just sometimes some places. The bedsheets were ugly but clean,nothing like the pictures!!! The towels were old and thin from so many washes. The maids are however very sweet, trying to clean the old mess and being friendly and understanding, but at no results with such direction. I tryied to contact Rodrigo, but I get no answer. It was clearly the worst experience ever with air bnb! Don't be fooled by the picture of the nice swimming pool and nice sleeping room! The room they gave is is NOTHING like the one on the picture! And the water of the pool is blurry and so full of chlorine your eyes burn like hell! Absurd!!!! I was scammed!! I was willing to pay more in order to stay in a nice place only to find out I was ripped off! This place should be banned from air bnb! and I feel robbed. I have pictures of all this to prove if you want I can send to you. Check in is at 16:00pm!! And check out 11 am! That is per se already a robbery. At night the noise was so loud, no one could sleep

The hotel was ok clean, pool was clean used for sun bathing mainly. This hotel on the main night life strip. Ask for a room at the back above the pool. As night life on till 4am every night. .. and additional toilet rolls need collecting from reception..

Absolutely dreadful conditions. Air conditioner not working in July, Bed sheets not changed for the week, either were the towels replaced. Too much noise coming for the bars beneath the building and opposite which went on until at least 4 o'clock in the morning. No cleaning was done, the small balcony had a lot of Sea Gull droppings on the floor and the chairs and table. The shower in the old fashioned bath system was not supported on the wall. Everything very shabby and neglected. Reception staff were nice, but everything out of their control. Asked for sheets to change bed and the hotel was reliant on cleaners coming in as they did not stock sheets or towels. A lot of money paid for little or no comfort. I could add a lot more. Dreadful experience of my 70+ years.

Air conditioner didn't work in the room in July. This was a total disaster. The tv doesn't work either. Very basic, not worth the money.

All facilities need updating. No working air con, no working TV, no working phone. Bathroom door opened in such a way that I had to enter the shower to get past the door to access the toilet.

I stayed here with my partner for 3 nights on a long weekend. We found the hotel easily. It is in a pedestrianised zone in the old town. We had a car however parking was not a problem. We managed to find a disused piece of land 5-10 mins walk away which was used as a free car park. We always managed to find a space there. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and welcoming. All speak very good english. It was nice to encounter staff so helpful and to see them smiling whenever you entered the hotel. The rooms are very basic. They were clean and spacious but could require modernisation/ touch up of decoration. The bathroom was reasonable. It had everything needed but the showers are not ideal. The way they are fixed to the wall meant that whenever you turned the tap to turn it off, the shower fell off the holder on to you. The only way to prevent this was to hold the shower in place as you turn off the tap. Other than the showers requiring replacement/ updating everything else was reasonable. The room had a lovely large balcony and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The beds were reasonably comfy. The rooftop pool and bar area is nice. The pool is ice cold compared to most. There are plenty of sun lounges. The hotel was good value for such a perfect location. I will be making a number of trips to the algarve in the next 18 months and will require cheap accommodation. The only reason I would not return to this hotel again would be the lack of towel changing services. The towels were very worn and thin but did the job. The towels ended up dirty and these were not changed when the cleaners cleaned the room. Instead the towels which were very visibly dirty were folded up and placed on the bed. This was my main issue with the hotel. In summary it is cheap and cheerful but let's itself down on the cleanliness of the towels!

LA PEOR EXPERIENCIA EN UN "HOTEL" DE MI VIDA. Llegamos a este hotel porque teníamos reserva en Mansao Bertolina (parte superior del mismo hotel pero con otro nombre) y allí no había nadie en recepción. Tras más de media hora esperando sin que nadie apareciera unos clientes nos indicaron que debíamos entrar por la entrada del hotel California en otra calle. La recepcionista del hotel California, TOTALMENTE INCOMPETENTE y también responsable de la recepción de Mansao Bertolina se tomó a risa la situación y nos dijo que no había habitaciones (teníamos reserva hecha). Tras otra media hora de espera nos ofrece las llaves de la habitación de un tercer hotel (parece que todos los hoteles de la ciudad son del mismo dueño) y cuando llegamos a ese nuevo hotel la llave no abre la puerta. Tuvimos que volver al hotel California para hablar con la recepcionista que NO SABÍA POR QUÉ NO ABRÍA LA LLAVE, NO SABÍA SI LA HABITACIÓN ESTABA LIMPIA Y NO SABÍA SI LA HABITACIÓN ESTABA OCUPADA. Tras negarnos a volver a ir a esa habitación por las dudas que nos plantea va ella con una nueva llave y al volver nos confirma que LA HABITACIÓN ESTABA OCUPADA. Media hora más tarde tras hablar con el jefe por teléfono nos encuentra una habitación en otro hotel del mismo dueño (el cuarto) que se encuentra en la otra punta de la ciudad. Debido a que ya era muy tarde nos vimos obligados a aceptar la propuesta pues no teníamos más alternativas, pero para llegar al nuevo hotel le pedimos un plano, ya que no conocíamos la ciudad "¿un plano? jaja, no tenemos, pero te escribo las indicaciones... primera calle a la derecha, primera a la izquierda, primera a la derecha y todo recto" (muy sospechoso que fuesen tan fáciles las indicaciones). TARDAMOS MÁS DE 2 HORAS EN ENCONTRAR EL NUEVO HOTEL POR LA INCOMPETENCIA DE LA RECEPCIONISTA, ya que no nos indicó correctamente la situación. Una vez en el alojamiento, que era un apartamento en las afueras y no el hotel céntrico que queríamos, por fin pudimos descansar... hasta la mañana siguiente que NOS ABRIERON LA PUERTA Y ENTRARON EN LA HABITACIÓN SIN NUESTRO PERMISO MIENTRAS DORMÍAMOS a las 9.30h para limpiarla. Nos fuimos esa misma mañana. En resumen: ¿tudo bem? NO, TUDO MAL!!

First night in and have experienced so many problems. The hotel's first impression is very dated. The couches look like they were picked out of a yard sale. The reception could also be upgraded as they don't even have a computer system. The lifts are really old and scary to be in, the rooms are dusty, the beds are so uncomfortable, the pillows are a disgrace, the bathroom are old, dirty. All in all DO NOT STAY HERE

Great place to stay. It is located in the centre of albuferia which makes it easy to explore albuferia old town and is a 2 minute walk to fishermans beach. The rooftop bar and pool is very good. I would recommend that you request a high room as some people we met there were on lower floors said they could hear noise at night, although we did'nt hear anything.I would recommend room 515,very spacious indeed.

As I stated my facts above. I had a short stay with a small price. I didn't use hotel services like breakfast or swimming pool, but the swimming pool area on roof top was pretty decent. There's a Internet/telephone shop in the same shopping complex, which costs for 1 euro/hour in case you don't want to use hotels wifi. Hotels wifi was in my opinion quite expensive. I believe it was 2-3 euros for an hour??? Hotel is okay, nothing fancy, but duable.
