A hidden gem. We stumbled across this place and we're so happy we did. If you miss the customer service of home (U.S.) but still want a charming, modern European restaurant, go here. The owner was extremely welcoming and kind, let us try his most popular dish and the food was amazing. We ended up taking the pork with couscous to-go because it was too good to miss out on until our next visit. The steak and chips was delicious, the pork tacos as a starter was perfect and the croquettes were equally delicious. Moderately priced and with great and attentive wait staff, you can't go wrong. Give this restaurant a try, with so much good food around Lisbon, this place still stands out.

Durch Zufall auf dieses Restaurant gestoßen, aber keinesfalls bereut. Sehr leckeres, landestypisches Essen zu einem fairen Preis. Der Fisch (Kabeljau) war frisch und perfekt gegart, die portugiesische Nachspeise "Pão de Ló" kann ich jedem nur empfehlen. Die Servicekraft ist aufmerksam, nett und hat uns jede Frage ausführlich auf Englisch erklärt. Nach zwei gelungen Abenden mit meiner Freundin in diesem Restaurant, ist dies mein persönlicher Geheimtipp für Lissabon!

餐廳整體風格簡約，服務員貼心有禮貌，我們在這邊點了兩道料理。第一道是網路上大家推薦的燉煮豬肉，軟嫩的豬肉搭配印度香料，非常適合亞洲人的口味。另外一道是生牛肉片沙拉，牛排搭配特製的葡萄牙醬汁，是在其他地方沒有吃過的料理。

My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this absolute gem in Lisbon by sheer luck. We were out to find the best restaurant to celebrate my boyfriend's 25th birthday. Though this place didn't necessarily have as many reviews, we both had a really good gut feeling and decided to give it a go.
We went in around 8:30 on a Tuesday. There was one other table, but a looming presence of the amiable Portuguese spirit. The interior was clean and beautiful. We both ordered drinks and quickly decided to share the Nachos as a starter before ordering our main courses.
The simple, yet thoughtful ingredients obviously came through when the nachos came out with delicious cheese, sour cream, and peppers (not spicy). We knew we had hit the jackpot just from our appetizer before even receiving our main meal. My boyfriend had the Porcolento- the gregarious owner advised he try it with homemade hot sauce (VERY hot, according to my partner who loves his spice!). I had the roast beef which was, by far, the best meal I have ever had. We both agreed it was the best spot we ate at in Lisbon and in our top 10 restaurants. No joke. We ate at some "fine dining" hubs or overly-tourist brunch spots in Lisbon centre. But nothing compared to the humble, well considered food. The coleslaw that came with both of our meals was a perfect side and my fries/chips were among the best I've ever had. I don't usually eat fries as they tend to go greasy or odd in texture, but these were unbelievable. I could go on and on about the food, but what struck us most was the kindness and warmth from the owner and server. They were attentive and made suggestions but simuntaenously allowed us space to enjoy our food. When we visit Lisbon again, we will definitely be back here. I can't speak highly enough about Restaurante Sucolento. Do yourself a favor and give it a try! Doesn't hurt that two alcoholic drinks, a coffee, a starter and two mains ended up at €34. Thank you for making us fall in love with Portuguese cuisine.

Ce restaurant porte vraiment bien son nom.
Enchantée par le lieu, la musique, les serveuses adorables et très chaleureuses qui parlent et comprennent le français. Des plats délicieusement succulents.
Merci à vous pour ce délicieux moment.
Un rapport qualité/prix très intéressant, comptez 40e pour deux environ.
Je recommande très fortement, reservez votre table à l'avance !

Second time visiting in the past 2 months. I really look out to come and eat here as one of the trips. Pork and salads ive tried and are AMAZING. 100 procent great.

Excellent service, very friendly and caring waiters. We only took the main dish and honestly it was enough since the portion is very generous. The porcolento and ribs were just excellent. We've never tried something like that before and were very happy to discover it. Next time in Lisbon we're surely heading to Sucolento again!

We came with high expectations and were hugely disappointed. It’s a nice place and the waiter was nice and attentive. The food however was not good at all. They even admitted that today their ribs were not like they should be. They were just not edible. After fighting with them for ten minutes, I just have up. They wouldn’t even take them off the bill even though they knew they admittedly served sub standard food. I guess a ‘hit or miss place’. Someone looking for guaranteed satisfaction should go somewhere else.

Very good and special meal!
We found this place without plan, however the experience was very nice. We ordered salad with grilled beef and porcolento and it was amazing! Porcolento was not friendly taste however very soft and tasty, and the combination of beef and salad was nice. I strongly recommand this place.

Waking up jet-lagged, exhausted and starving, I decided to wander the street of Lisbon. To what I find is this amazing hidden gem.
Upon entering the place, the dimmed light immediately made me feel comfortable. I was greeted by a male waiter who wore glasses, he was extremely approachable and caring. I sat down and he recommended the ribs as explained it was their speciality, slow-cooked for 24hrs.
My god, the ribs were succulent (pun intended). The meat just fell of the bone, so tender and moist, packed with various flavours that slowly unfolded in my mouth.
Oh, and the place is super cheap, €2.50 for a pint, if worth visiting here just to get pissed.

Sucolento es un restaurante espectacular. el espacio (diáfano y abierto) es ecléctico y agradable. Absolutamente todas las personas que nos atendieron son un 12 sobre 10. Y lo más importante: la comida está buenísima!!!!! la sopa del día (brocoli) era fantásticamente casera; los tacos de porcolento eran una absoluta delicia; el carpacio de salmón (aunque mejorable la

Locatia retrasa, departe de zona “turistica”. Recomand sa va faceti rezervare deoarece au putine locuri. Meniul nu este foarte variat, dar preparatele sunt delicioase. Recomand “Porcolento” - porc gatit lent. Coastele au avut sosul cam sarat, dar au fost delicioase. Carnea de vita a fost buna chiar daca nu a fost cea mai frageda. Preturile f ok - 10-12 euro portia, vinul 3 euro paharul, etc. Servirea foarte buna.

Arredamento carino, personale simpatico e accogliente eccetera, ma quella carne, ragazzi... Ho assaggiato il porcolento, e a distanza di settimane me lo sto ancora sognando! Carne di maiale ultratenera, inbevuto in una salsa divina e saporitissima, accompagnato da un cous cous perfetto (homemade) e da un'insalatina di cavolo. Veramente da rimanere senza parole, lo mangiavo con le lacrime agli occhi. Se siete a Lisbona, andate a mangiare al Sucolento!

This restaurant is really amazing it has a warm vibe, with friendly staff, great prices and even better food. the pulled pork and croquettes are especially good. We enjoyed it so much we even came back for another visit. Definitely a good cap to 6 weeks traveling around Europe.

Me and my girlfriend had an excellent experience here. The food was amazing and really cheap for how good it is. The male waiter with glasses was really nice and tentative. The place is quite small and busy so would recommend booking. Definitely our best meal in Lisbon.

Este pequeño restaurante es toda una joya escondida cerca de Baixa Chiado. El restaurante cuenta con una carta breve, llena de recetas que dominan y dónde domina el sabor. Il tutto si presenta veramente bene, dovrebbero aumentare leggermente le porzioni per deliziare a pieno il palato di due persone a cui è indirizzata la pietanza. Provare per credere!

Great place , hip with original food. The place is small but cozy, but I guess that is adequate for European dining, which it makes sense. It is cool and the hostess was kind and attentive, and creative in placing us since we walked in from our apartment without a reservation, which would have been the end of the night if this had occurred back in the states. The menu was simple but tasty. Really a great place to eat in Lisbon. I miss Lisbon already.!!!

Sucolento was one of the best restaurants my fiancé and I attended during our trip to Portugal and we dined everyday! The owner was very personable and helped us choose a great selection. Food was simple, yet done to perfection. It is not trying to be overly-fancy, or something it isn't - just really delicious food made with heart. The Gurdices, which were potatoes, cheese, pork, and bacon was pure fatty (I say this in a good way), delicious, goodness. We also ordered the pulled pork which came with couscous and a kole slaw salad. This was another great dish. We tried a bunch of other dishes that complemented these well. The staff were attentive and very nice. Thanks for the great meal!

I came with my wife to this restaurant in summer 2018. We found it on Tripadvisor, we were looking for an non-touristic place. This restaurant was amazing. Service is really friendly and personal. The quality of the food is excellent and that for the best prices. If you are in Lisbon, it isn't an option to not go to this place.

A wonderful little restaurant to eat simple yet delicious dishes with a twist. We tried different dishes on three visits and loved them all. For hungry travellers, there is a starter with pulled pork, fries and cheese. Then there are soups - both the cold gazpacho and the pumpkin soup that was available as a daily were tickling my tastebuds in a pleasant way. As mains, you can have porc, beef or fish - bacalhau (cod) or salmon steak. I can strongly recommend the roastbeef - thinly sliced on a bed of pesto with some grated cheese, country potatoes and coleslaw. Not to forget the heavenly chocolate cake that melts in your mouth. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed, the staff very friendly and the decor is clean and modern. Give it a go!

Le patron est d'une très grande gentillesse, petit plus carte en francais et l'équipe parle français, niveau nourriture rien à redire très bon rapport qualité prix, le rosbeef était très bon accompagné de son parmesan et sa sauce pesto, tandis que le cochon couscous (mélange étonnant) était parfaitement parfumé
En somme très bon restaurant notamment en terme de qualité prix
PS: faites un tour dans leur toilette, on va dire qu'elles sont "original"

Amazing restaurant tucked away in Lisbon - super friendly staff, the food is amazing. I had the porcolento and it was sublime - tender and full of flavour. My friends had pork cheek, and steak and both said their meals were incredible too. Oh and the croquettes are perfect. The wine that we were recommended went very well with the food. Everything was good value and the portion sizes were generous. The space is a great place to eat - intimate but not cramped. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to try some local cuisine.

Wir waren zum dritten Mal in unterschiedlichen Jahren hier. Das Essen war wie gewohnt hervorragend. Der Service ließ diesmal jedoch leider sehr zu wünschen übrig. Wir wurden während des Besuchs über lange Strecken ignoriert. Andere Gäste wurden nach unserem Empfinden freundlicher und sehr viel schneller bedient (Stammgäste?). Leider war es nun wohl das letzte Mal für uns.

Wenn Sie wie ich Vorurteile gegen die traditionelle portugiesische Küche haben, lassen Sie sich im Sucolento vom Gegenteil überzeugen. Ich hätte nie gedacht, dass ich irgendwann sogar bei Pommes ins Schwärmen gerate. Unbedingt Platz reservieren, kleines gemütliches Restaurant, das sicher bald kein "Geheimtip" mehr sein wird.

This place is fantastic. The service, food, dessert, wine--everything. After asking about their pork dish, the staff mentioned their pork cheeks special and since I hadn't had that before, they convinced me to try it. Served over mashed potatoes and with a rich in flavor sauce, the cheeks literary fell apart with a fork. The staff then asked if I like spicy sauce, which they then brought out to mix with the cheeks. If you're into hot, but not overpowering spice, ask for this. Then, because I was tempted to get the other pork dish originally, they gave me a little sample to taste. Overall the food was amazing, but the experience and good nature of the staff puts this place on another level. Absolutely the best place in Lisbon so far, and my wife and I highly recommend you get off the main touristy strip and stop by for dinner.

Un posto perfetto! Ambiente curato, personale impeccabile, cibo... succulento! Ho provato lo spezzatino di maiale (servito con cous cous e insalata mista) e l'ho trovato davvero eccezionale! I prezzi sono davvero onesti e l'atmosfera è impagabile.

A comida e o atendimento foram ótimos. O menu não tem imensa opção, mas todas são muito apelativas.
O espaço é acolhedor, mas pequeno, e pouco arejado quando cheio, pelo que as mesas ficam muito próximas, sendo este o único motivo pelo qual não leva pontuação máxima.

Un sitio acogedor y agradable. La comida rica. El camarero atento y simpático, lo explico todo en español y con detenimiento. Encontré la carta poco variada, pero sin duda es un sitio recomendable para comer en Lisboa con una relación calidad precio excelente.

La spécialité au porc est divine ! Très bon rapport qualité prix, quoique un peu cher pour les nachos mais ce détail à vite été oublié avec les plats et desserts que nous avons commandé. Service rapide et personnel sympathique. Je recommande

Restaurante simples, comida sem graça, atendimento horrível, deveriam ter mais variedade de comida, melhor seleção de música, melhores empregados de mesa, não sei se proprietário estava agarrado ao tlm em vez de atender os clientes. Carta de vinhos muito fraca. É pena deveria ser melhor, neste momento não recomendo

Really good food and service! My favourite was clearly the Porcolento (pulled pork with side of couscous and coleslaw saldad, only 9€), but the rest of the things we ordered were great too.

Una comida excelente en un restaurante muy acogedor. El anfitrión nos explicó el menú con cariño y nos recomendó los mejores platos, teniendo en cuenta nuestros gustos. La comida era deliciosa y salimos de Suculento muy contentos, y un poco borrachos después de una jarra de sangría refrescante!

Highly recommend this place. Amazing food and hospitality, the pulled pork was slow cooked over many hours and was so tender and full of flavour. The pork croquettes were also super creamy and delicious, and the chocolate mousse was one of the best I’ve had. The owner was lovely and made us feel very comfortable. Will definitely be back again.

Simply put the food here is made with love & care. All the dishes we tried were packed with flavor & for a very reasonable price.Thiago our host was fantastic, he took the time to explain & talk about all the dishes & what work goes on behind the scenes. Do yourself a favor & stop in for a meal!

Aufgrund guter Bewertungen den Weg hierhin gefunden. Essen war super lecker, Spareribs waren ein Highlight. Sehr guter Wein inkl. Beratung. Alles in allem ist man hier ab vom typischen Tourismus Trouble und kann sehr lecker gemütlich essen.

SUCCULENT!! Nous y avons mangé le meilleur plat de notre séjour à Lisbonne : le porcolento. Un plat qui peut être partagé à deux avec semoule et coleslow à volonté, tout ça pour 16€ pour deux !
Accueil très sympathique et service rapide. A essayer sans hésiter !!

The food is very well prepared and the menu is small but varied. The space is not so big so consider booking for busier hours. The staff is the best! Always very friendly and ready to chat.
For dessert choose the pao de ló, it's fantastic.

Prices are incredible, especially when you consider the quality of the food served. Not a big menu, which guarantees that food is served fast and the quality is uncompromising by the speed. Good environment, especially now that the staff is going through changes into a younger and even friendlier croud. The owner, Tiago, is very hands-on, so it's common to see him interacting with the clients to make sure you're happy. Really friendly and affordable place. Good for groups also.

Quite popular, good prices, well cooked dishes and friendly staff. Not sure if they know exactly what vegan means but when we asked they said they had one vegan option. Else it's pretty and cozy so I do recommend it if you're not too far.

We just ate a salad but it was a surprisingly good election. Fullfilling and tasty, either the fish or the meat option well paired with a nice vinho da casa. They recommended us Pão de Ló as a dessert, a typical portuguese sweet and delicate ending.

Это был прекрасный ужин! Всего лишь за 8 евро я съела потрясающий ростбиф с картофелем и коул слоу! Соус к картофелю не идет в комплекте, но его можно попросить. Персонал очень вежливый и милый! Вино отличное и не очень дорогое (от 10 евро за бутылку). Жаль, что это мой крайний вечер в Лиссабоне, я непременно вернусь в этот прекрасный ресторанчик и буду рекомендовать его!
