Very nicely decorated, charming place. Food is good on first visit. Not fine dining but nicely prepared and presented. Had the squid with potatoes as a lunch special. Great value with a glass of wine. Will happily eat here any day of the week. 4.5* (since only the very best get 5*) ps. The glass of was 6€ - quite high for a Portuguese Riesling.

평일저녁8시에 가니 예약이 다 찼는데 9시전에 다 먹으면 한테이블 내줄수는 있다고 해서 먹었어요. 생선스프랑 새우리조또 정말 맛있었는데 기본적으로 다 고수가 들어가더라구요... 고수를 못먹어서 다 못먹거 그냥 나왓는데, 고수 외에는 맛있었어요

Really creative kitchen with interesting takes on Portuguese classics. Fresh fish is amazing. I had the octopus and mussel soup. Nice room. It is a small dining room. Good wine list. Lots of English spoken by an attentive staff. Outstanding service. This is a great place for a nice lunch.

점심 예약으로 2시 30분에 갔는데.. fresh fish 메뉴를 시키니.... 약 40분 가량의 조리 시간이 필요하여 막상 식사를 할때는 우리만의 공간이 되어 있었습니다. 추천해준 와인이나 요리 모두 훌륭 하였습니다.

문어스테이크 시켰는데 2접시로 나눠주셨어요 문어 진짜 부드럽습니다 먹어볼만한것 같아요 새우리조또는 조금 짰습니다 그래도 치즈맛도 나고 맛있었어요 홍합스타터를 시켰는데 특이한 소스였어요 무엇보다 친절합니다. 예약하고 갔는데 빈자리가 꽤 있어서 예약 없어도 갈 수 있을 듯 합니다.

Celebrated my mother's birthday here. Food ambience and service (Lia) was fantastic. The salmon which my mum had was the best she ever ate and our dishes were pretty tasty too. Would recommend booking a table before you go.

This is a truly gastronomic Portuguese restaurant. We tried the salmon, the duck and the seabass and everything was excellent (personally my preference went for the salmon). Keep some space for the dessert, ideally one of the assortments (don't try to eat it all by yourself!). Service was exceptionally good. The place was filled with French and East Asian customers, which is usually a good sign when it comes to fine dining.

Locale carino e accogliente, personale attento e cordiale. Cibo ben presentato e si nota la qualità dei prodotti.. Polvo in casseruola per due, gustoso, unica nota negativa patate crude e verdure poco saporite.. Polpo ottimo. Dessert, cheesecake che non è una cheescake o meglio non è specificato sul menù che è un "gelato" per non dire congelato. Tutto sommato un'esperienza consigliata.

리스본에서 맛본 음식중 가장 맛있는 음식중 하나가 이집 새우요리와 문어스테이크입니다 새우는 스타터메뉴의 Prawns "Frade dos mares"인데 12유로의 행복이었습니다. 국물에 식전빵을 찍어먹으라는 종업원의 권유로 시키는대로 했는데 정말 맛나게 먹었습니다. 조금 짭조롬 하니까 꼭 빵이랑 드세요 두명이 홍합스프랑 문어스테이크를 시켰는데 나누어먹을거냐고 묻길래 그렇다고 하니 미리 두개의 접시에 나누어서 서빙을 해와서 또 감동을 받았습니다 사진의 스프와 문어는 0.5인분입니다 예약없이 가면 자리가 없기도 하니 꼭 홈페이지에서 예약하고 가세요 두명이 물한병(엄청 많이줌)과 새우, 홍합스프에 문어스테이크 그리고 빵두소쿠리 시키고 커피도 두잔 마셨는데 45유로 정도 나왔습니다 가격비교 최고의 음식입니다 꼭 맛보고 가세요

By far the best duck I have ever eaten in my life. It was presented with a wild berry sauce that was just incredibly enjoyable to eat from start to finish. The restaurant itself is small so I would recommend making a reservation before hand. The risotto was also absolutely fantastic as well as the prawns. This place has a genius feature where there is a box with a few buttons on your table and when you need the check, or anything from the wait staff all you do is click the button and a member of the wait staff comes right over. It definitely allows the wait staff to be attentive without over bearing during dinner.

금요일에 예약하고 토요일 저녁 6시반에 먹었습니다. 음식 맛은 물론, 직원 서비스가 너무 훌륭한 곳이에요. 2명이서 너무 맛있어서 메뉴 3개 시켜 먹었네요. 플레이팅이 예뻐요. 베스 리소토 : 고수 비슷한 맛이 조금 나고 생선이 곁들어진 해물밥 느낌이 납니다. 고급스러웠어요. 머쉬룸 리소토 : 버섯 식감이 미쳤어요. 엄청 촉촉합니다. 크림 맛이 너무 훌륭해요. 등심(sirloin) 스테이크 : 완전 부드럽다 정도는 아닌데 겉은 바삭하고 속은 촉촉합니다.

아주 훌륭한 맛에 언제가 또 방문하고 싶은 곳입니다. 문어 요리는 포르투갈에서 먹은 요리 중에서노 손에 꼽을 만 하였구요, 전채 요리로 먹은 새우 요리도 소스가 아주 훌륭했습니다. 직원들 서비스도 참 기분 좋았습니다. 개인적으로 도움이 필요한 상황이었는데, 시간을 내어 알아봐 주어서 고마웠습니다. 한국인 자유여행객들은 한번씩 들르는 곳인지 한국분들이 정말 많습니다.

저는 예약을 하지 않고 디너 시작 시간에 가서 바로 앉았습니다. 연어+크림치즈+과일 소스의 요리는 은은한 맛을 좋아하는 저에게는 좀 진하고 헤비한 맛이었고, 리조또는 정말 맛있었어요~식감과 간이 적당했고 개인적으로 고수를 좋아해서 그 향을 같이 느끼며 먹을 수 있어 좋았습니다!

Maigret de Pato a recomendar (19€). O menu de vinhos não oferece apenas uma taça, mas é possível pedir (5€), clientes desavisados irão comprar uma garrafa inteira sem necessidade. Os preços são bem elevados e irrita-me o facto de cobrarem 1€ por água da torneira, quando em bons restaurantes agua e pão é servido à vontade. Há boas opções de sobremesa.

Guiados por TripAdvisor acabamos en este restaurante (cuarto en el ranking de Lisboa en el momento actual). Pedimos pulpo al horno, Bacalao de la casa y mejillones gratinados. 真的特别棒！我们点了鱼汤，很鲜。前菜明虾的酱汁也很和中国人的口味，新鲜份量足。主菜烤章鱼是葡萄牙特有的做法，肉质肥嫩多汁，唯一的小缺点就是末梢可能会有一点点焦，但是整体口感还是很棒。甜点是脆皮卷心酥，也是葡萄牙特有的，酸甜爽口。五星推荐！ 人均：35欧左右，需要提前预约。

I was here to celebrate my wife’s birthday and the overall experience was nice and pleasant. However, the soup was super salty for us but risotto and steak were both well-cooked and served, maybe we were not in favor of strong flavor food. Be aware of the ring bell, you need to ring the bell before getting in the restaurant.

Wer in eine fremde Stadt kommt und sich nicht auskennt, steht vor dem Problem der Restaurant-Suche. Nicht immer kann man sich bei der Wahl auf verlässliche Informationen verlassen. Lissabon hat ein riesiges Angebot und da fällt die Wahl nicht leicht. Unsere Kriterien waren gekennzeichnet von gutem Essen, guter Atmosphäre und ein vernünftiges Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Wir waren zweimal in diesem Restaurant und das spricht schon dafür, dass wir bei der Auswahl richtig lagen. Wir aßen gegrillten Tintenfisch und eine Fischplatte und waren über die gute Zubereitung begeistert. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und half bei der Zusammenstellung der Getränke. Um es an dieser Stelle nicht zu vergessen, die Nachspeisen sind ein Gedicht! Achtung, selber essen macht dick ! Die Atmosphäre war gut, leider stehen die Tische sehr eng, so dass man sich doch ein wenig zu nah auf die "Pelle" rückte; leider und dies ist kein Einzelfall in den Restaurants. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist für lissabonner Verhältnisse gut. Das Lokal ist sehr beliebt und man sollte sich immer einen Tisch reservieren lassen, damit man nicht freundlich abgewiesen wird. Vier Sterne aus unserer Sicht. Wir würden wieder in das Restaurant gehen.

They split them for us so we can share and they plated the food really nicely. And we ordered the small selection of dessert which works really well because we get to try different flavors. Definitely will come back next time in Lisbon. Also, very good value for the price!

Frade dos Mares is my favorite restaurant in Lisboa which I must go when visiting this city. Every cuisine on appetizer menu are excellent, you will definitely not make wrong decision. The shrimp, the mussels grilled in a unique way, the fish soup are the best choices. For main course, we have tried the risotto, the cod and the octopus. Octopus is the signatual one in Frade, but we perfer the rest two, next time I want to try the seafood pot Cataplana as it looks so attractive!!!! And please save some space for the dessert!! For the first time, the dessert collection is the best choice. The mousse they create is very very special. It tastes soft, fine and smooth, like a bite of ice-cream in normal temperature. When we back for the second time, I asked the boss if she can give us a half portion collection, she unexpectedly agreed and asked me to pick some of my perferrance from the big collection..haha.. Fare price, amazing food, excellent service! But you need to make a reservation before going. Highly recommend!!!

I went there alone as a tourist near 9:50 pm. I asked a man there if there's a seat for one person. He let me in. But! They had me wait for the seat more than 7 mins though there were many seats. And they didnt even care me thought they were not busy. One man saw me standing in front of the door. He pretended not to see me at first, and then he led me to a seat. They didnt give me a menu until i asked, and the food was served more than 30 mins later. I finished it for less than 10 mins. I didnt want to spend the time there anymore. I was recommended this restaurant, but their service was the worst. I'll never go again. Even one star is too much for them.

Incredible! Everything was perfectly cooked and the service was really good. The appetizer’s dough was filled with high quality goat cheese and served with a delicious red berries jam. The garlic-and-oil shrimps was super super tasty. Finally, the octopus was incredible. A classical from Portuguese cuisine cooked to perfection. Totally recommend this place, especially if you like seafood, one of the best meals we had in Portugal. Octopus was excellent. It gets quite crowded in the evening since the place is quite small (there were no empty tables when we were there) so reservation is advised.

Quelle découverte. Le restaurant n’est pas très grand, nous avions pris la peine de réserver. La décoration est très belle, l’acceuil est aussi très agréable. On s’y sent bien et surtout nous avons très bien mangé. Nous avons pris l’excellent poulpe grillé à 18€ qui nous a ravi. Nous recommandons sans soucis car ça ne fait pas piège à touristes.

There is a lot of care of every detail and the staff tends to make you feel really comfortable. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxing, really enjoyable. The price is totally worth the dinner! 저녁 오픈시간이 6시30분인데 20분 정도 일찍가서 앞에 있는 벤치에 앉아서 놀다가 오픈시간에 맞춰서 저희보다 먼저오신 노부부 한 팀이 먼저 안내받고 저희가 들어갔어요. 자리안내해주신 직원분도 친절하셨고 테이블마다 벨도 있어서 직원부르기도 쉬웠어요! 저희는 스타터로 새우구이(12유로)를 주문했는데 크기도 큼지막하고 살도 오동통하니 너무 맛있었구요. 피쉬메뉴에 있는 새우리조또(17유로)를 주문하니 직원분이 음식을 쉐어할지 물어보셔서 쉐어한다고 얘기하니까 각각 접시에 따로 준비해주셨어요. 따뜻할때 먹으니까 느끼하지도 않고 좋았어요. 서로인스테이크(17유로)도 함께 주문했는데 굽기도 원하는대로 알맞게 조리해 주셨고, 고기도 부드러워서 먹기 편했어요. 맥주, 콜라, 빵도 먹어서 54.50유로 나왔는데 두명이서 메뉴3개에 음료도 각자 하나씩 주문하고 배부르게 55유로면 굉장히 좋은 가격이라고 생각합니다. 다음에 또 방문할 생각이에요

Excellente expérience gustative Des serveurs à l'écoute, attentifs et aimables. Gros bonus : ils sont polyglottes. Les plats sont surprenants et en toute honnêteté assez copieux. Ne vous fiez pas aux apparences. Nous recommandons tout particulièrement le poulpe, cuit à la perfection, très tendre et magnifiquement succulent. Nous avons commandé 2 entrées, 2 plats, 2 desserts, une bouteille de vin, eau et pain, pour un total de 90€. Nous voulions tout goûter mais il est largement possible de s'en sortir pour 30€ par personne en prenant un combo entrée-plat ou un peu moins en prenant un plat-dessert. Ce qui est très raisonnable pour la qualité des mets.

Been there based on Google judo for the best pulpit octopus in Lisboa and it s true. I ordered everything octopus made. Result perfect the grilled one with harkis is just gorgeous tasty. The starter same. Wine list ok reasonable price. Nice place to be. Book in advance or forget the diner lol. This well known. Waiters are very friendly. Gin tonic nice choice and we tried the Japanese one. Very good. A good diner with nice deco in a typical restaurant. Enjoy it. Desserts with cheese and peer very interesting if you like strong goat cheese with sugar.

ディナー利用です。時間が経つとほぼ満席のようで、断られる人もおおくいましたので予約をオススメします。 入店時にはドア右上辺りにあるチャイムを鳴らして鍵を開けてもらってから入店します。ポルトガル語が話せなくても、お店の方は英語が堪能なので安心して色々質問することができます。 Bread、Foie Gras Butterと前菜にFish soupともう1品(メニュー名失念しました)、メインにOctopus Lagareiro StyleとMushroom Risotto with Celery and Almondsを注文しました。スープも魚介のうまみが凝縮されており美味しく、メニューを忘れてしまった前菜もよかったです。 メインのタコは大きさに驚きましたがやわらかく味付けもシンプルで美味しかったです。 ポルトガル(リスボン)ではナタばかり食べていて、他のポルトガルのデザートを知らなかったので お店の方にどれがポルトガルのデザートか聞いてMarinated Pear with caramelised goat's cheeseを注文しました。 少しほろ苦い洋ナシのコンポートの中に塩気のあるゴートチーズが入っておりとても美味しかったので、オススメです。 ワインの価格も手ごろで、最後にエスプレッソをいただいて終わりました。 全体的にお財布に優しい値段設定なのにしっかりしたお料理と丁寧なサービスだったのでオススメのお店です！

스타터로 생선수프 메인으로 문어스테이크 먹었는데 맛있게 잘 먹었어요 문어 스테이크 혼자 다 먹으려니까 느끼하고 좀 물려요 올리브유 맛이 엄청 납니다! 두분이서 오시면 다른 거랑 같이 시켜서 나눠먹으면 딱 될 것 같아요 그리고 생선수프는 생각보다 훨씬 맛있었어요 원래 생선 잘 안먹는데 너무 잘먹었어요 고수 들어가니까 못먹는 분은 빼달라고 하세요! 근데 개인적으로 고수 안들어가면 너무 맛이 단조로워질 것 같아요 저는 고수 때문에 더 맛있게 먹었습니다

Wow, super great. We consider ourselves lucky to get a table since we didn’t have a reservation. We ordered what seemed delicious and everything was. We don’t usually order desert but this time we did, we could repeat our experience ten fold ! Highly recommend this restaurant for the food and excellent staff !

Nourriture très décevante. La pieuvre que j’ai commandée était complètement brûlée et celle de mon copain n’était pas du tout tendre. Les plats sont assez dispendieux aussi, donc très mauvais rapport qualité-prix. Nous avons ressenti un peu de snobisme de la part du personnel, l’ambiance n’était pas chaleureuse.

I count this as one of the best dining experiences I've had in my life. Most restaurants have one or two stand out dishes, but Frade dos Mares delivered near perfection in their appetizers, mains courses and desserts. Expect a creative menu, super fresh ingredients and outstanding flavour with each mouthful. If you visit Lisbon, this is one restaurant you don't want to miss.

Must have been there on a bad night. Poor wine selection (suppliers fault allegedly). Undercooked duck... There's pink and then there's raw. Definitely not fresh mussels on the starter menu or in the sea bass risotto. The only saving grace was the service.

Restaurant un peu chic de prime abord. Plats un peu cher pour le Portugal mais normal pour une capitale. Le plat du jour est a un prix plus abordable. Les plats sont excellents, très bien présentés et en quantité suffisantes. Pour un passage à Lisbonne je vous le conseille. Un petit bémol sur les WC pas à la hauteur du restaurant.

Absolutely loved this restaurant, my girlfriend and I had one of the best meals we’ve ever had here. Our favourite was the “Frade dos mares prawns” appetizer (make sure to dip your bread in the sauce!), I also ordered the Octopus main and it was very good! Wait staff were very friendly and helpful, it was a little confusing for us trying to figure out how to get in (there is a door bell you need to ring and someone will come open the door). When we went in the place was mostly empty and they said they had to check to see if they could seat us, but it filled up shortly after we sat down—so they must have had a lot of reservations. They use a buzzer system to let your waitress know when you need something or want your bill, so the service is very very quick and good!

남편이랑 둘이서 물, 새우구이, 빵, 문어구이, 해산물밥을 시켰습니다. (총51.5유로) 새우구이 소스가 맛있어서 빵을 한 바구니를 다 먹었어요. 문어구이도 부드럽고 맛있었고, 해산물밥은 맛이 없진 않지만 깊은 해산물맛이 나는스타일은 아니었습니다. 배가 불러서 해산물밥은 반정도 남겼네요. 여자 두분 가시면 일단 새우구이+빵, 문어구이 먼저 시켜드시고 나중에 추가로 시켜드시는게 좋을것같아요!

For foodies who only care about the food: This place is highly overrated. If you're going off pictures, the food looks good, but it's just ok when you actually get it. I ordered the mussels au gratin. I got eight and ate six. 5/6 of those were overcooked, and the dish was nothing special. The one that wasn't cooked was tasty... if only they were all like that. For the main dish I had the octopus, and I'm usually a fan of octopus and eat it wherever I can. Maybe it was because I had octopus last night at another restaurant, which was delicious, and have been going to high-end restaurants, but this one wasn't that good. The outside was too tender like it practically melted off so you'd think it would be easy to eat, but then the inside was chewy. Also, the potatoes that came with my octopus were so overcooked. When I cut them up, they instantly turned into mashed potatoes. It must've been a fluke because I looked at another table and their potatoes stayed together when cutting through them. For people that care about the ambiance and service: The male server who greeted me at the door was a bit pretentious. He didn't do anything wrong but he gave off this vibe that he was working at a super upscale restaurant, and even then, I've been to a Michelin restaurants where the servers were so jovial and light-hearted... so I don't know. He could've been nicer, but not a big deal. The other server, female, was so open and warm. I actually told her that I didn't like any of my food (with a smile and kindly of course) and she did her best to fix the situation by offering me other food... but I personally didn't think I'd like any of the food here if I didn't like two dishes so I kindly declined as to not waste food. Her service was fantastic. The whole restaurant was full of tourists, mostly from South Korea and China. South Koreans love being on their phones all the time*, so it wasn't the best environment to be in a restaurant where everyone was on their phone. Literally 80% of the restaurant was on their phones at one time. BUT I am old school and a stickler for no phones during meals... so you might not care about this. *Before you get all PC about this, I'm Korean-American, and if you go to Korea, you will see this is very true. Phone-nation! Overall, over the two times I've been to Lisbon, this has been my worst meal. Of course, worst is relative 'cause I've been to some amazing places. Basically, try another place if you're a foodie. There's better places for seafood.

Frade dos Mares is a cosy restaurant serving mainly delicious sea food. They also have meat and vegetarian options. They have a dish called "Vegetables au Gratin" and I asked them to prepare a vegan variation of it, without cheese; they brought me most delicious sautéed veggies I've ever tasted! All the fish lovers in the table enjoyed the octopus dishes! We were four and had a "Small Selection of Desserts", it was enough for the four of us to taste a bit of each desert. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, has an intimate atmosphere and staff are very attentive and polite. Definitely, a must go restaurant in Lisbon!

Tucked away in the little street corner of Avenida Dom Carlos, Frade dos Mares is a 10 – 15 minute walk away from the Cais do Sodré metro station. It’s located away from major tourist sites, which is a huge plus. Frade dos Mares is a true gem for dinner. The mood is relaxed with soft lighting and unobtrusive yet on-point service. The menu is simple – sirloin steak, grilled fish – with a few wild cards (venison medallions, cornbread-crusted bacalhau). The Seafood Cataplana (for two people) at a total price of 56 € was an outstanding seafood strew with fresh, large pieces of seafood including lobster, mussels and shrimp in a delicate and rich broth. The shrimp starter was one of the best shrimp I have eaten in Europe cooked in a rich spicy sauce. Frade dos Mares is open from 12.00 – 15.00hrs and 20.00 to 23.30hrs. I would recommend Frade dos Mares for couples looking for a relaxed intimate atmosphere.

Excellent food with reasonable price. Friendly and very knowledgeable staff helped us to choose a good white wine which went so well with our choice of dish. We had an octopus dish for 2 persons, the octopus was so tender and had beautiful flavor in it. I recommend to go here if you want to have quality dishes in Lisbon. Not too formal as Michelin star restaurants, but not too casual either. Reservation is necessary for it is a quite small restaurant. They open the door when you press the door bell at the entrance.

Pedimos uma sugestão do chef: um folhado feito com leite cabra e frutas vermelhas + mexilhões com manteiga de ervas + camarão alho e óleo + Polvo a Lagareiro + Entrecôte maturado + Leite creme com folhado, abacaxi no vinho do Porto e sorvete e tudo isso regado a um vinho branco indicado por eles. Muito romântico. Recomendo muito!

Pedimos a sugestão do chef e fomos muito felizes kkkkk: folhado de leite de cabra com doce de frutas vermelhas (couvert) + mexilhões com manteiga de ervas (entrada) + Camarão alho e óleo (entrada) + Polvo a Lagareiro (principal) + Entrecôte maturado (principal) + Leite-creme folhado com abacaxi ao vinho do Porto e sorvete (sobremesa) e ainda um vinho branco delicioso. Meuuu Deus, pensa numa riqueza! Maravilhoso! Se não bastasse, o atendimento é primoroso e rápido e a música ambiente dá um clima. Super romântico. Recomendo muito! Áh lá precisa reservar pq são poucas mesas. Vá, sério.
