Great local food and good prices. We say outside under blankets, it might be a little noisy inside. Make sure you make a reservation.

Rude waiter. No hospitality. Not allowing us to sit outside despite arriving early and full availability outside. Don't go, especially if you are a tourist. They are not welcoming!

Creative and distinct. Great art, with lots of natural light for the patio and dining room. Relaxed environment with great music. Just an amazing place. Foof was Portuguese in it's roots yet unique. Fairly priced for the large portions and high quality.

Best meal we ate in Portugal! Loved every dish. The appetizer sausages with turmeric and honey were absolutely divine as were the 5sentidos steak and honey pistachio orange cake. Charming and cozy atmosphere complete with warm blankets for outdoor seating! We hope to return to Cascais and when we do we will most certainly eat here.

The most creative and delicious food I had over a week in Portugal hands down. Friendly staff, beautiful decor, and excellent food make this a must-visit stop. Try the cod souffle and come hungry!

Eine kleine Seitenstraße, die kaum ein Tourist kennt. Unscheinbar am Eck, 5 Sentidos auf einem Schild. Ein kleiner, gemütlicher Gastgarten führt um das Haus, in dem sich das Lokal versteckt. Die Gerichte, frisch und wirklich innovativ. Portugiesische Küche vom feinsten! Auffallend: Der Gast steht wirklich im Mittelpunkt. Selbst als aus Versehen der andere Tisch zuerst abgerechnet wurde, hat man uns als Entschädigung 2 Gläschen Portwein gebracht, unaufgefordert. Die Kleinigkeiten machen dieses Lokal perfekt. Große Empfehlung!

Good food, ambiance and service. Wine selection is huge. We ordered 1 cod fish dish and 1 monkfish dish. Loved both of them. Staff is nice and friendly. Would definitely recommend others to try.

Amazing food and very friendly staff!!
Make sure you book ahead because they are very busy, and make sure you are on time for your reservation (I did lose my table for being late).
I was first surprised by the "international" menu, which I am not fond of when travelling, but then I realised they have great stuff. In the end I opted for the dish of the day (swordfish & shrimps screwer) and was a brilliant choice. The food is fresh and very delicious, I can only recommend. Thank you, will definitely be back in the future :)

I really wish I could put 6 stars......my wife and I came for dinner three nights this week.
So friendly and such a care for your satisfaction.
A lovely house restaurant with two levels and an outdoor patio (was too cold this week at night for the patio)
Cheese,olives and bread comes to each table....Each fish dish was amazing ......followed by a latee.
I could go on and on but if you have time it is a must

구글의 힘. 주택가 안쪽 눈에 띄지 않는 곳에 있는 작은 식당에 사람이 많더군요. 한국인은 없고.....
음식맛은 나쁘지 않았습니다. 양은 많이 넉넉하구요. 직원들도 친절하구요. 인테리어는 아기자기한 가정집 분위기.... 단, 유명한 항구도시와서 바다뷰 없이 찾아가서 먹을정도의 맛은...글쎄요...???

Uma vez mais o 5 sentidos surpreendeu pela positiva. Desta vez experimentámos o interior do restaurante. Apesar do dia frio, a sala era confortável, amistosa, e com um nível de ruído baixo apesar de estar quase completa. Staff jovem muito simpático, educado e cuidadoso. Ficamos perto do balcão mas nunca nos sentimos incomodados.
Excelente entrada de mil folhas em pão escandinavo, um risotto de polvo delicioso e um ótimo petit gateau.
(Ps: wc muito arranjados e limpos).

Mais um restaurante gerido a pensar no lucro e não nos clientes. Reservei mesa e quando cheguei ao restaurante tinha um mesa com um lugar em frente à lareira onde não se conseguia estar mais do que um minuto. Claro que depois já não existiam alternativas. Obrigado a gerência por tornar uma tarde solarente e com um almoço tranquilo em mente, numa procura de restaurantes por Cascais onde tudo está cheio e existem filas por todo o lado.
Nota para a resposta: A v/ resposta eh falsa como podem facilmente comprovar falando com os funcionários em serviço no dia em questão que me informaram que o piso de cima estava completamente cheio. Esta v/ resposta só comprova a falta de consideração do v/ estabelecimento pelo bem estar e saúde dos clientes. Como fazem todos os esforços para agradar todos os clientes desafio a sentarem-se em frente ah lareira, na cadeira que me alocaram, durante 30 minutos a ver se nao saem dai directos para o hospital com um gole de calor ou algo do genero. Por mim o assunto estava encerrado e como e óbvio nunca voltarei a visitar-vos considerando as inúmeras alternativas existentes em que há uma real preocupação com o bem estar dos clientes e nao so em lavar a cara quando ocorrem momentos infelizes. Como tal agradeço que nao continuem este triste episódio com declaracoes falsas (que no fundo revelam que agiram mal e dai a necessidade de mentir).

É a segunda vez que aqui vimos. O espaço é agradável e acolhedor. Em dias de sol a esplanada/jardim é uma boa opção. A comida, para além da ter boa apresentação, é boa. O staff é jovem e simpático. Iremos voltar.

This was by far the best restaurant I tried in cascais. Seafood dishes were fresh, generous portions and full of flavour. Clams and octopus risotto was sooo good, and coconut rice with sea bream. The pistachio orange 'pie' was also excellent. Definitely recommended if you like seafood.

Wow! This was an extremely tasty meal. Went for lunch and ordered a traditional risotto which is one of the tastiest I've eaten. Also had a salmon risotto, a bit salty for me personally but the salmon itself was incredible. Fresh and high quality ingredients cooked to order. I would love to try more of the menu. A meal that's worth the price, would definitely recommend.

Cibo nella media:abbiamo ordinato uno dei piatti di pesce del giorno che era fresco e ben cucinato ma comunque di allevamento il che potrebbe andare bene in una città lontana dal mare ma non a Cascais dove tutti i più noti ristoranti servono il pescato. Note dolenti:il dolce della casa di scarsa qualità e il pane che viene fatto pagare un euro a

Fantástico sitio. Desde el trato hasta la temperatura para cenar en la terraza. Llegamos por la noche después de recorrer 1.300 km huyendo y descansando de los puchis y los lacitos amarillos de tractoria. Pedimos mejillones con cebolla y tomate y el milhojas de pez junto con la parrillada de pescado y una ensalada. Éramos 4. Dos adultos y 2 niños. Quedamos saciados. Ojo con las raciones. Debo decir que sin los mejores mejillones que he probado en mi vida. No en sí por el mejillón sino por los sabores de limón y vino justo en su punto. La parrillada con dorada, rodaballo y salmón. Evidentemente nada que ver con el Mediterráneo. Simplemente espectacular. El trato fantástico por lo parte personal. Hay terraza. Aparcamiento a escasos 2 minutos en el verano puerto. Luego un buen paseo y una copa en algunos de los fantásticos bares. Por cierto, el vino banco del Duero a pesar de ser Cabernet Sauvignon, espectacular. Un Três Bagos.

Sat on patio and enjoyed a delicious lunch. Servers were very nice but what really made the experience was the food and drink. The tropical white sangria was amazing and consisted of a generous portion.
We had the sea bass done in two different ways and both were delicious. Not cheap but not too expensive and well worth the price.

We ate here last night after a bad experience at another restaurant. We got the most amazing food here. The fish and shrimp special, the polvo rice with clams, the grilled polvo and even the salads were so good!!! The staff was warm and professional. We will come here again!!!

You almost can't see this restaurant from the road, but step inside, and it's a very different story! Lovely atmosphere, pretty walled garden eating area & very inviting indoor dining area. All the staff were excellent, friendly & helpful and the food has a definite wow factor! Delicious! Great wine too! So pleased we went there & will go back.

This really is a hidden gem. Looks nothing from the outside but what a lovely place when you climb the steps and find the terrace and the beautiful restaurant.
The staff were so friendly and the food was beautifully prepared and delicious.
Wine was agreed and very reasonably priced. In fact the whole meal, relative to the quality, was excellent value.
This has been our best meal in Cascais by far and we will definitely be back.
Great menu, tasty food, lovely staff and a quiet and very pretty setting. What more could anyone ask?

Una experiencia genial! El servicio muy atento y educado. El entorno muy agradable. Nosotras estuvimos en la terraza y con buen tiempo y fue una maravilla. Lo mejor de todo, la comida. Para picar, pedimos paté de mejillones y tenía un sabor muy peculiar, muy bueno. Un risotto con almejas, pulpo y crujientes de bacon ¡espectacular! Y para terminar, un tamboril con salsa de gambas con queso gratinado, muy recomendable también. Son platos grandes, pedimos esto para las dos y nos lo comimos todo por lo riquísimo que estaba, pero no pudimos pedir postre porque nos llenamos. El precio de todo esto más la bebida (copa de vino y agua) y el pan fue de 40€, que volvería a pagar encantada. En general una experiencia de 10.

Good lunch, food was good, not awesome. And the service was a little bit bumpy as they were very busy. The kitchen closes at 3, it was 2:20 and I could not order a soufflé because it takes 45min to cook too strict really! For me a restaurant goes beyond the food, it includes warmth of service and hospitality...not really what i found here.

El restaurante está decorado con gusto y el personal es agradable y atento. Nos pedimos el entrante de carpaccio de salmón con queso parmesano, y sinceramente no tenía nada de especial. Ni un aliño que le aportara algo más que simplemente abrir un sobre de salmón ahumado y cortar un poco de queso.
De segundo pedimos el rissoto 5 sentidos, era un plato contundente para más de 2 personas, el punto del arroz perfecto y de sabor estaba bueno, pero según avanzabas, el sabor de los ingredientes iba desapareciendo, y solo saboreabas cilantro. Una decepción.
Lo mejor sin ninguna duda el postre, el petite gateau de chocolate con helado de vainilla, era una delicia, perfecto en textura y explosión de sabor, muy recomendable.

Good service - although we wanted to sit outside and they wouldn't seat us (although they did seat the outside as the indoor dining filled up). Regardless the food and wine were outstanding but the portions are GIANT. We ordered two entrees and wish we'd ordered one. But truly some of the most delicious food we've had in Portugal (we ordered the baked octopus and gratineed monkfish).

This is one of those places to which one might hesitate on rating with 5 stars. Not because it is not worth it, but because you want to keep if for yourself. I absolutely love this restaurant, I have yet to order something that didn't ended up wowing and swiping me off my feet. A five star culinary experience in a delightful ambiance. The food itself was unbelievably amazing. The portions are great, you won’t leave hungry, my steak was extremely tender and flavorful and the port wine sauce was outstanding. The chocolate cake was probably the best chocolate cake I’ve ever had. The service was the only letdown. No one seems friendly, no one smiles, they didn’t fill our water even though we asked twice until a solid 30 minutes into our stay. I would come again because of the food.

Reservamos mesa previamente, ya que sin reserva en agosto es imposible comer aquí. El local es tranquilo y acogedor, y a pesar de estar cerca del centro de Cascais, se encuentra alejado del bullicio.
-Puntos positivos: ambiente, decoración, atención y el postre (el coulant con helado de vainilla estaba delicioso).
-Puntos negativos: el arroz valenciano. Viniendo de España y habiendo leído los comentarios acerca de los arroces, teniamos unas expectativas muy altas. Los trozos de bacon y chorizo no pegaban nada, y las hierbas que tenía el arroz (que por aquí suelen echar indistintamente a cualquier comida) camuflaban el sabor del resto de ingredientes. Además, tenía un regusto picante que dejaba la boca ardiendo con cada mordisco.
Por estos motivos, recomendaríamos el local pero probando otros platos.

Top Service und absolut lecker. Die Souflés sind mal was ganz anderes und sehr gut. (Ist aber sehr viel Ei enthalten.) Geschmacklich ist die Karte vielseitig und jeder findet etwas. Vegetarische Gerichte allerdings eher weniger vertreten. Die Location ist toll gestaltet. Auch die Gerichte an den anderen Tischen sahen toll aus.

Really great food and service. A nice reastaurant - especially for sea food. We had a 2 ps. Mix of sea food with salmon, cod fish and shrimps. Kids had two different pasta dishes. All really great. Absolutely the best fish we have eaten in a country known for it's great seafood and fish. So fresh and cooked to perfection. Great service and ambiance. We arrived with 2 small children and worried they would not belong in this somewhat elegant restaurant, but they loved their food and we all enjoyed our time here.
Hint: try the robalo or dourado, the polvo with black rice. Delectable!

Wonderful seafood restaurant in Cascais. Fresh seafood specials everyday, with lots of fish and seafood risottos on the main menu. There is also a meat menu, but the fish is the star. Slightly more expensive than other restaurants, but well worth it. I've eaten here about ten times now and never had a bad meal.

Advisable to book ahead if you can. Lovely attentive staff. Very helpful with the wine menu. Tasty appetisers. My steak was beautifully cooked, melt in the mouth quality. One of our party had lobster and lemon risotto which they rated very highly. All in a very quiet pleasant tucked away area just before you hit the main drag. You will not be disappointed.

Search no longer, make a reservation online and enjoy a great lunch or dinner here. Following the good reviews we found this gem and are so excited we went. The atmosphere and interior design are beautiful and the staff is incredibly friendly and polite. We had curried risotto with prawns and lime risotto with salmon - but were absolutely delicious. As dessert we had orange cake which was delicious as well. You can't go wrong choosing anything of their menu, so stop by. We are glad we did!

Sehr gutes Essen. Steak ist sehr weich und zu empfehlen. Bei den spicy spaghetti sollte man eventuell vorsichtig sein, da diese wirklich scharf serviert werden.

A good restaurant near the citadel fort. A diverse choice on the menu, with focus on traditional flavours with a bit of a modern twist. Great octopus risotto and a great selection of fish dishes. On the meet side, the ibérico pig with red wine sauce reduction caught my eye. Coming back real soon for that. Good decor, however I found the chairs to be a little bit uncomfortable for a nice long meal on a round 6 person's table. But for sure nothing that could kill a very good overall experience.

Choix dans les plats du jour (risotto d'espada aux crevettes ; côte de veau portuguaise) présentés avec goût et très savoureux. This could be a very good restaurant. It is a lovely space in a great location with an excellent menu. However there was a mix up over our booking (they said they had no record of it but then found it) and we waited ages for our food - another family came after us, ate their meal and left before our food arrived. Fuimos una noche sin reserva y no pudimos cenar al estar todo lleno así que reservamos para el día siguiente y no defraudó la espera ... local bien decorado con la mezcla de hogar y restaurante, nos pusieron en la terraza siendo un local de dos plantas, estuvo bien porque los muros son altos y resguardan lo suficiente de las noches frescas de verano, pedimos una ensalada y un bacalao para compartir ya que tienen en el menú una página dedicada exclusivamente a platos para compartir, nos sorprendió gratamente que las ensaladas tuvieran género tanto la de queso de cabra como la de gambas en algún momento hasta demasiado como el exceso de nueces en la ensalada de cabra, el plato pasa compartir de bacalao no era para dos personas no... podían comer tres bien bien... bacalao bien hecho en su punto rehogado con patatas cebolla ajo ummm estaba delicioso, precio económico para la zona

The ambiance both inside and in tbe garden is very nice. The waiters were helpful and kind. The place stays until late open, apparently rare on sundays nights in the area. The food was mediocre. In the menu the dishes looked nice and coherent but they weren't as expected. They were very salty, fact which didnt let the real taste of the ingredients show. Desserts were nice.
Improvements are definetely needed in order to recommend this restaurant.

I don't normally eat seafood, yes an Irish man in Portugal that doesn't like seafood. I had the curried prawn risotto. Unbeatable.

Fresh, well prepared dishes. Staff knowledge and service was impeccable. Great Portuguese wine. A gem if you're visiting Cascais as you're surrounded by restaurants & pubs placating British tourists.

The name is 5 Sentidos, Casa do Largo and is the best restaurant in Cascais. The chef is the enchanting lady owner's son, Diogo, and the food and service is so good that I go back for more whenever I can.

Hidden Gem. Well worth the price. Excellent service and a wonderfully atmosphere. Had some of their seafood mains for lunch, no complains. The desserts are wonderful as well.
