Honestly the best seafood I’ve had! Split the grilled octopus and the seafood paella and had generous portions with kind and attending waitstaff, definitely recommend! A little pricey but you’re in Europe and you’re on vacation what do you expect?

The man tired to get us in the restaurant for lunch and when we said no thanks he told us to Fxxk Off and then proceeded to shout a abuse at us (3 women) on the street....and a few racist comments...so sadly we never went in there....obvs would recommend it like a hole in the head

Purtroppo una stella si deve per forza mettere....non accetta zero stelle...locale situato in una zona strategica del centro storico ma non all"altezza...abbiamo ordinato due paelle arrivate direttamente dal congelatore....cosa aggiungere.... nonostante le abbiamo appena assaggiate e i camerieri si sono resi conto di quanto succedeva...al momento di pagare non hanno scontato manco i 10 centesimi con cui si chiudeva il conto stesso.

The food is good and we liked the location. We went there several times and stayed inside as well as outside. The waiting time for the food was pretty short and the staff checked on us to make sure everything is ok.We had the paella with seafood and garlic shrimps and they were tasty! We liked it!

Foods are nice but somehow the prices are tricky, i understand that these are traditional foods in Portugal but my husband ordered a more expensive meal than mine yet he commented that ''it is tiring in the mouth''. One Portuguese was so nice but the Indian guy who served us was so cold and a bit of annoying.

Kellner und Küche absolut überfordert mit den leichtesten Bestellungen. Bis wir unser Essen bekommen haben hat es über eine Stunde gedauert!! Als wir zahlen wollten mussten wir noch einmal eine halbe Stunde warten und das obwohl der Laden nicht voll war. Am liebsten hätte ich null Sterne gegeben

Typical tourist restaurant. Food is adequate, but pricey for the quality.
The staff is very friendly inside and very attentive. Not pushy like the ushers outside.

Very bad service for a low price. We waited 1 hour for a burger and the food did not arrive together. The chicken baguette was stone cold. Wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Au départ plutôt avenant,apéritif séduisant et goutu. Au milieu, paella fade et l'atterrissage très violent. Dans la note apparaît le coût de l'ardoise apéro qu'on nous a posée après nous avoir amené les verres. Comble de tout, le charmant serveur qui me demande d'une façon assez originale si je veux ma monnaie. Euh...la phrase exacte étant vous laissez un pourboire ? N'étant pas parfaitement bilingue, mais ayant vécu aux états unis, je dis "oui", je connais le prinvipe. Mais en fait IL S'EST OCTROYE LA TOTALITE DE LA MONNAIE, LE BOUGRE!!!
je réprouve ce genre de fonctionnement. C'est du pur hacking, avec sa gueule d'ange. Et il a disparu, il n'est même pas venu nous saluer... a la caisse, on noys a dit qu'il avai fini son service je vous déconseille cet endroit .

I saw a lot of controversial reviews but I enjoyed the place. We had seafood paella which was very good, bottle of local white wine also not bad, the waiter was polite and everything was great. The location is right on the pedestrian traffic but it was not noisy or overcrowded. The toilets were also very clean. Overall very nice experience at decent prices.

I was just looking around to find a nice place to dine and enjoy my last day in Portugal. Never did I expect their workers to be so disrespectful to my mom (one of them made a gesture implying that my mom was crazy).
In fact, the workers in other restaurants along this street were all so rude— one of them even said I should "go back to China" just because I did not want to dine at his restaurant! Honestly, grow up, it's 2018! Isn't it kind of too late to be a racist??
It's a shame that my trip to Portugal has ended like this.

하우스 와인 한 모금 먹은 순간 알았어야 했는데...
옆 테이블 여자분 1/3도 안먹고 표정 굳어있을 때부터 알아봤어야했는데ㅠㅠ

마지막엔 카드기계 고장났다고 캐쉬요구하는 걸로 화룡점정 얍!!
카드기계 안된다고 atm가서 돈 뽑아오라고 해놓고
끝까지 현금없고 현금 뽑을 직불카드 없다고 하니까

Estava indeciso onde almoçar e optei por aqui o que nada me arrependo. É pena estar no meio da rua da baixa embora que havia mesas dentro mas o ambiente dentro do restaurante era um calor imenso. Optei por comer o Hambúrguer á Beira Rio, as batatas estavam mesmo no ponto, a carne era suculenta tanto como o bacon e tudo o resto. O staff tem um ar de sério mas acabam por ser simpáticos e eficientes. Pelo hambúrguer, bifes de frango com cogumelos e uma água, paguei 19.60€.

집 앞이여서 갔다가 실망만 하고 온 곳. 진짜 음식도 엄청 짜고 맛도 별로고. 서비스도 대강대강하는듯 했으며, 주문 후 30분이 지나고 와서는 주문이 안들어갔다며 뭐 주문했는지 다시 주문받더라구요. 그리고 나서 또 30분이 지나고 와서 한다는 말이 그제서야 문어가 다 떨어져서 그 요리가 안된다는거예요.. 첨부터 말을 했으면 다른거 주문하던지 다른델 갔지 아니 한시간이나 아무것도 없이 기다리게 해놓고. 그래놓고 나온 요리도 맛도 없고...
진짜 여기 가려고 리뷰 찾아보시는 분들 여기 가지마요.

Mala comida, los jugos no se pueden tomar. Te los dan calientes y no hay forma de tomarlos ni siquiera con hielo. Demoran en atenderte unos 20 minutos y luego 45 para que te traigan la comida. No lo recomiendo.

Service médiocre. 1h d’attente pour nos plats, de qualité plus que minable.
Surprise au moment de l’addition, le serveur nous explique qu’il rajoute 4€ pour le pourboire. Je refuse. Il nous informe que cela est obligatoire et qu’il baisse le pourboire à 2€. Nous sommes dans l’obligation de payer. Cette pratique est illégale ! Ce restaurant est vraiment à fuir. Un conseil : ne vous y arrêtez pas !

Kinder-Portion zum hohen Preis. Nicht bestelltes Getränk und ein nicht zufrieden stellender Service. Obwohl gleiche Pizzen bestellt wurden, kamen zwei verschiedene an den Tisch. Essen war ok. Ich weiß nicht, ob es an den nicht vorhandenen Englisch Kenntnissen der Bedienung lag, aber es wurde versucht mehr bzw. doppelt zu berechnen.

Nos pusieron un plato variado de quesos y jamón, y otro plato de croquetas de bacalao las cuales estaban frías y pésimas, 5€ por las dos croquetas... Estos dos eran aperitivos que te los ponen pero si te los comes lo pagas... Los quesos y el jamón ni los tocamos. Pedí un bocadillo de jamón que consistia en una loncha transparente de jamón embasado, otra de lechuga y una rodaja de tomate, y el pan blanducho en fin... Otros 5€ por el bocata que ni mucho menos lo merecía. Total que no lo recomiendo para nada son caros y unos antipático hay sitios mejores en Lisboa

餐點CP值低，海鮮燉飯味道死鹹，吃不出特色之處，而且在服務生送餐的時候要注意，他們都會自動送上麵包、抹醬、橄欖、乾酪以及葡式鱈魚丸，但這些都是要費用的，所以在享用之前，請問清楚價錢，以免帳單高得嚇人，吃不下還浪費食物。

Todo tipo de comida é feito no mesmo grill. Fomos dois adultos e duas crianças, pedimos omelete, macarrão, carne de porco e hamburger, absolutamente tudo ruim. Experimentei o prato de todos, exatamente o mesmo gosto. Caro para o que é servido. Pouca higiene. Ninguém comeu bem. Não recomendo nada nessa rua, tudo "pega" turista.

Worst food and horrible customer experience. We ordered 3 meals, one came burned and two uncooked. We complained and the restaurant didn't even apologise a bill of 75 euros for nothing. I would never recommend going to this place, treated tourists with a huge amount of disrespect and made the whole experience pointless and disgusting.

Wow. Highly recommened if you wish to experience food cooked by a blowtorch. Also the house special of half-frozen fries is particularly memorable.
Zero discount or apology offered after returning three nearly full plates. 75 euros it cost. If you think eating there is a good idea, my advice would be to seek a mental health professional.

Arroz duro e frio. Batatas fritas ainda cruas. Picanha estava crua. Costeletas de porco queimadas. Demora para a preparar uma comida mal feita. Nunca mais volto a este estabelecimento.
Rica was cold and hard. Fries were still raw. Steak was raw. Pork ribs were overcooked/burned. Took too long to receive a terrible food. I'll never return to this restaurant.

마르게리따 피자랑 새우 샐러드 시켰는데 맛은 괜찮았어요. 샹그리아는 그냥 그저 그랬어요. 그냥 탄산 맛이 많이 나더라고요. 다 먹고 계산하려는데 서비스비가 포함되지 않았다고 하더라고요. 40유로를 내니까 다시한번(음식값이 39유로 대였음) 서비스비 포함 안되어있다고 이해하냐 묻더라고요. 서비스비 5유로 정도는 주라고 그러더라고요. 그래서 잔돈이 없어서 100유로 내고 거스름돈 받는데 50센트를 덜 주더라고요 ㅋㅋ.. 우리가 부르니까 그제서야 미안하다고 빠졌다고 하는데 정말 그런건지는 알 수 없죠? 4유로 팁 주고 나오긴 했는데 기분 잡쳤어요. 한국 사람은 가지마세요..

We were there on Christmas eve. They were extremely busy, however the maitre d was very helpful on getting us a table and service. He took our orders and kept coming back apologizing on the service. The food came out really good and we appreciated the fact that they made sure that we knew they had not forgotten about us.

Vérifier la fraîcheur des produits.
Personnellement pris des sardines grillées, bonnes mais les patates fades et salades sans vinaigrette.
Mon chéri vous recommande le Poulpe grillé, ils le maîtrisent!

veuillez surtout ne pas franchir la porte de ce restaurant. Les plats servis sont minables et en plus périmés. Pour exemple mon mari et moi avons choisi des linguine aux crevettes et pennes au saumon fumé, une horreur. Des plats s'est dégagée une odeur nauséabonde et les pâtes avaient un goût de moisi. Nous avons fait la remarque au serveur afin qu'il remonte l'information à son responsable. le serveur nous a proposé de choisir un autre plat. Mon mari a pris une salade et moi une assiette de frites. Le comble c'est que quand l'addition nous a été présentée on nous a facturé les plats pourris. Il a fallu contrer le patron afin de les ôter de la note car ce monsieur a dit que les plats que nous avions retournés étaient bons mais que c'était nous qui ne les trouvions pas à notre goût. tout simplement une honte. Bin leider enttäuscht. Habe Lachs mit Gemüse bestellt Brokkoli war überkocht und alt (gelb) Karotten wurden nicht ordentlich geschält. Vorher wurde uns Vorbeise zum Tisch gebracht, wurden aber trotzdem geahnt das es Geld kostet.
Die Nudeln mit Pestosoße waren auch nicht wirklich lecker. Leider empfehle ich keinen. 2 Sterne auf Grund der Freundlichkeit.

Worst paella of my life (and I ate it many times). Overcooked, tasteless, wrong ingredients. Clearly the wrong type of rice (the recipe requires "la bomba" that doesn't overcook). It was more a soup than a paella. I know that in Portugal you pay for the service that pays the appetizer too, but they charged me 7 euros for few olives and some Pâté.
Avoid it!!!! It's only for tourists.

Еда была не очень, выуживать креветки из паэльи пальцами, чтобы очистить - неудобно и горячо

Обманули везде где смогли. Принесли "подарок", который мы не заказывали и потом включили его в счёт. Бакалао не понравилось, паэлья тоже не понравилась. Вино за 4 евро стоит 14. После того там мы это все сказали они ещё попросили чаевые...

I ordered two items - black ink seafood paella and garlic prawns. Paella was fine but prawns was a huge ripoff. Prawns portion size shown in picture was way larger than what I received (paella was accurate so no complaints there). But I mentioned it to the waiter/manager and they did nothing at all. So was really disappointed that the portion size was really misleading, and customer service was poor. Would not recommend for that reason. Staff/waiters were very friendly BUT AVOID! Lots of other decent restaurants in commercial plaza

Disgusting!!! On top of being disgusting it is expensive. I paid for shrimps with garlic 17 euros. They brought the tiny plate, there were 5 shrimps no garlic, too buttery and the list goes on.

So yeah i was also one of those many wanderers who were tempted to dine here after looking at all the pictures they have of their food. I ordered a grilled sea bass. The service had no issues; waiters were friendly and quick. The food was only okay though. The food overall had a very bland and old taste to it. This place is by no means one of those cheap eat places and therefore i expected better.

Comida saborosa, preço na média da região. Sugiro o prato Bitoque casa, por €11,50. A coca sai a €3,00. Não cobram taxa de serviço.

Non mi sento di consigliare questo ristorante. Esperienza per lo più deludente.
Tutto molto mediocre e approssimativo.
Per un ristorante sulla via principale di Lisbona mi aspettavo molto meglio.
Aver i “butta dentro” lungo la strada non serve a nulla se poi non si offre un po’ di qualità.
Sala al piano superiore piccola e di conseguenza piccoli tavoli e strette le postazioni. Ognuno a ridosso del vicino.
Paella niente di particolare se non leggermente abbondante.
Ordinato l’antipasto e dopo mezz’ora risulta essere finito...(un club sandwich?!?)
Ci sono così tante alternative vicino che vi consiglio di proseguire oltre.

Restaurant situat a la Via Augusta a Baixa. El local és fred i sense cap tipus d’encant. Disposa de terrassa a l’exterior al carrer i tot ell està molt enfocat a turistes. El menjar és de tipus normal, sense destacar-ne ni la qualitat ni l’elaboració; el bacallà, sense ser dolent, tant a la brasa com al forn, estava sec i era molt poc melós. El preu és alt atesa la qualitat que donen i per tant la relació qualitat - preu és dolenta. Millor buscar alternatives a d’altres zones de Lisboa.

Not sure what others are saying but we are vegetarian and this place was a great option within the downtown area with outdoor seating. Can't comment on meat options. Most veg. only restaurants were closed on sunday and this restaurant had great appetizers and paella.
Sangria was also great.

Slow service, relatively expensive and the food was of low quality. The ingredients were definitely not fresh. Got about 5 pieces of calamari straight from a supermarket freezer. My friend got pizza and was also disappointed.

A fuire absolument, très mauvais accueil, visiblement chez ce restaurateur la règle est inversé, c'est au client de satisfaire, ce commerçant Gange bien sa vie et il n'a plus besoin de client !!
A leak absolutely very bad reception, obviously at this restaurant the rule is reversed, the customer to satisfy this trader Ganges good living and it does not need customer !!

Sat at three tables tonight. They had put out more tables than the 15 they're licensed for, so they shuffled people around, especially a solo diner like me. The waiters were polite about it, but I wondered why they had tried to flout the law in the first place. To add insult to injury, they tried to charge me for a couvert I didn't touch. Mind you, I'm getting used to the petty overcharging in South Europe, one time being charged 12 Euros for a haircut in Valencia, when the sign clearly said 11 Euros. If you knew how little hair I had, you'd realize what a joke that was. The cheese plate was too expensive, as they usually are, and mediocre in its contents, except for a big amount of black olives. White port was a medium (between sweet and dry), which was nice. This place is on the Rua Augusta, so people watching is perfect.

My experience is a little different from Giannicola's, but I very much agree with what he said.
Around 5pm on May 24, 2015 my wife and I arrived the restaurant. It has a patio section in the middle of the busy street. We picked a table at the patio, ordered 2 drinks and some food for our dinner.
Within a minute, one of the waiter leave a plate of bread with cheese on our table. Without assuming it's free, I asked the waiter whether it's complimentary. Initially, he said that's for all customer. Being suspicious, I asked him again if that'll cost any money and he said that it cost us EU 7.50. The same thing happen to another table just within a couple of minutes. We start feeling the dishonesty of this restaurant.
A couple of minutes later, a dancing performance started around 20 meters away from the patio and it's very loud. We decided to cancel the food order and told one of the waiter about our decision. The waiter suggested us going inside the restaurant to see if it's more quiet and I agreed to check it out myself. Turns out it's very hot inside (probably that explained why no one else is sitting inside).
I told the waiter it's too hot to sit inside and I left a 10 EU bill for the 2 pop drinks I ordered. All in a sudden, 4 waiters stood in front of me and blocked my way to the exit. One of them hold my arm and try to pull me back into the restaurant. Feeling threatened, I force my way out of the restaurant. Before I managed to get out of the restaurant, one of the waiter told me that there'll be serious consequences if I leave like that.
As a traveller, the last thing I want is getting into trouble in a foreign country. So, we stayed and finished the meal unwillingly.
I can't say they're gangsters or what, but they certainly act like some. The waiters in this restaurant are in huge contrary to the other kind people I met in the city.
I'm not recommending anyone to eat at the restaurant since no traveller deserved their vacation being ruined by bad restaurant like this one.

Let's try to quickly describe this awful experience in this restaurant without wasting anymore of my time.
I was passing by with my girlfriend around 1.30am on Saturday night 28/02, and the waiters were just putting away the tables on the street when one of them whispered something at us. I turned around to ask reasoning but I found myself very surprised with the waiter answering me with a pompous and almost aggressive attitude "so, what you want?".
I didn't stand back and kept up at him but I was quickly faced by another member of the staff who literally and physically pushed me back.
I couldn't believe what was happening in there! At that stage I demanded twice to call the police (as I don't always have these numbers handy and I maybe should!!!) but I was ignored by them, twice!
I guess though that at that point the staff started to realise that they could actually get in proper troubles for their behaviour, and began to be less engaging and carrying on doing their job ignoring my complaints.
Anyway, I went inside and asked for the manager to a lady who seemed to be the only other member of the staff left... and with stunned surprise I’ve been told that the "so-called manager" was the very person that pushed me in the first place.
As I could not get any reasoning out of there I decided to give up and leave after another exchange of comments.
If the manager leads by example I’m not surprised of the behaviour of the staff either....
I can only say: please do not step into that place ever in your life and pass on the advise!!!
P.S. If the owner of the restaurant wants to get in contact with me and go through this whole disgraceful episode that involved his staff, then please do and I'll be more than happy to go through all the details.
