What a disappointment. We ordered seafruit stew and octopus salad. Stew was spicy, too salty and had a distinct taste of tomato paste like instant soups in Yugoslavia. Completely not worth 15,4€ and the long line we had to wait in. Bread was good and octopus salad edible.

I had about the laziest salad ever here. It was supposed to be a seafood and guacamole salad, and it cost ~15 euros. When it came out, all the leaves were off to one side, no dressing. The other half of the plate had an ice cream scoop of what was supposed to be seafood but somehow had a gooey consistency due to being mostly mayo probably. There was another ice cream scoop of “guacamole” and I use this term loosely because it was a sort of paste that vaguely tasted of avocado and was mostly salt and oil. If you mix everything together, it tasted all right, but even the vegetables were disproportionate arugula/rocket, which made it taste far too strong. Just overall a lazy offering from supposedly a good chef who should have a better reputation.

My attempt at fair and detailed review: Food corner by Marlene Vieira is one of the busier stalls consistently, so there is a bit of a wait. We never had to wait more than 15-20 minutes before our food pager goes off to tell us to claim our order. That is a testament to their efficiency. They are not a hawker stall, they actually attempt to plate their food properly as a full restaurant before serving. Located at the North Eastern corner exits of the time out market. The experience at this place seems to vary based on past reviews but I can say that our experience there was great based on 2 separate occasions that we went. If you see the number of customer that turn over at that place on a given Friday or Saturday evening, then you would be right to question whether you can get your meal within 1/2 hour at all. But they succeeded in this regard. I think everyone should try this location due to their effort in even preparing "dish of the day" on their menu which showcases a wide variety of Portuguese cooking. The dish of the day is adequately portioned, and is only 9 Euro for the dish, and 12 Euro for the combo (entree + beer/wine/bottled water + dessert). The daily dish is clearly displayed on their front logo board. I cannot speak for others that say this is not good value, but that is "great" value in a heavily touristy area. Yes, we have been to restaurants here that charges "cover" to dine in Lisbon. All in all, the sword fish risotto was one of the best tasting dishes I've had here. It looks simple, but the flavor was on point. After trying plenty of sword fish in Caribbean and in the US, I can say this was one of the freshest, at least on this occasion. The sword fish cubes were very fresh, lots of flavor, and the risotto screams umami without being undercooked and grainy or overcooked and mushy. The cod and potatoes dish was also well executed. Just the right amount of olive oil with herbs, and mildly sweet hint of salted cod. Their "salads" are all not the typical salad that we know, and people should know this. It is more like small appetizers with marinated veggies. They are "intentionally" prepared, and repacked in sardine tins, so it is not "canned" food as some reviewers claims. I have seen it done through the whole process. Value of these salads is debatable, however. For their portion and taste, are probably on the expensive side compared to their entrees. I have tried 4 of them. Their desserts are ok, but that is not their specialty nor do they claim so. 12 Euro including a custard cake is great value. All in all, this restaurant stall created enough interest in me to wish to visit their full restaurant Panoramico when I revisit Portugal.

Frequento o Mercado da Ribeira sempre que vou a Lisboa , há vários restaurantes e quiosques com refeições e tapas muito bons ,desta vez escolhi " Marlene Vieira " e fiquei surpreso com atendimento super simpático e a saborosa refeição pedida , " Polvo c/ batata ", acompanhado por uma taça de vinho,divino. A variedade é de colocar de joelhos qualquer mortal. Parabéns.

Fui lá no evento Peixe em Lisboa.Comi uma sapateira com torrada e uma sopa rica de peixe. Só não tive o prazer de falar com a chefe Marlene Vieira porque ela parece ser um pouco inacessível ou talvez seja apenas um pouco tímida.

Comida boa? Sim. Mas o lugar é para quem gosta de comer com muita gente, parecer reunião da" firma" no fim de ano.

l have booked a double room with extra bed in this hotel The room is for 2 adult and 1 child. I am a family of four with 2 children. One is 6 yrs old and one is 3. Normally most of hotels will allow 1 extra child with or without charge. But when we arrived. They didn't have a double room with extra bed. Then the staff insisted they are not allow us to stay in one room because we are 4 people. After we have an argument with them for half an hour. They promise let us to have a bigger room on a second day without charge but we have to book anther 1 room for the first day. But on second day. They just give us the same size room with a sofa bed. That is exactly what I booked online. But why they insisted they couldnt let us stay in one room in the first day. They just cheating me. Because on the first day they didn't ready the extra bed for me. Not recommend

Food is just OK. Nothing special. Cod fritters barely have any cod in them. Honestly the most underwhelming meal I have had in Lisbon. You can get much better for much less.

I cannot even explain how angry and upset I am as it ruined the rest of my holiday in Lisbon and my experience overall as I had to cancel any plans I had made to go on day trips or restaurants that I had wanted to try. For clarity, my illness was definitely caused by my meal here. Earlier in the day, my friends and I had shared our meals together but we chose to eat our dinners separately. They were all fine the next, except for me - meaning that my food poisoning issues only be linked back to this restaurant. I love seafood and have eaten it throughout my life growing up in Hong Kong and am very angry that a restaurant in a well established and institutionalised food market is capable of serving food so dangerously like this.

The worst. The employee gave me the change less very naturally. when I knew that cheat, it was too late to tell. ++added for owner’s request it happened yesterday. the employee gave me one euro and two 50c coins for “3 euros”. I didn’t check it because I got 3 coins. I don’t know well it was a common mistake or not, anyway I felt so bad.

I asked her to take allergenic food out of the dish, but she didn't accept it. And a cod fish salad is canned food. Can, not plates, is served.

Food was warm/cold and wasn't fresh. Wasn't worth the price. Seafood was definitely sitting for a while and lost its texture.

I don't normally write a review but this is very disappointing. They had empty shrimp shell and empty mussle in the food(couldve been an eaten shell) Seafood was not fresh. They didnt exchange or allow for refund. We also ordered octopus salad.... no good. Dessert was ok. Not worth the 20 euros...

Food stall in Time Out market within Mercado de Ribeira. I opted for daily menu seafood rice. It looked half-soup and half-risotto and tasted absolutely amazing. I never had such a nice seafood broth.

In this place we tried at combination of small dishes that were a bit of a sample from the menu. All of the dishes were really tasty, and some of them I would love to eat again and again. The service was quick and the guy who served us also got us some complimentary wine chich was a great surprise. Great food for sharing!

We had baked cod, 5 petiscos (appetizers) and wine. It was delicious and around 25€ each. Totally recommend it!

A minha escolha estava dividida entre 2 chefes, mas decidi provar o prato do dia "bife à Portuguesa " da chef Marlene. Apresentação mediana, a quantidade é relativamente pouca e camuflada com batata !! A carne é de boa qualidade, tenra, mas....o molho que acompanha é muito deslavado e SALGADO!! Fui ver se encontrava outros comentários de pratos com sal a mais e encontrei !! Sugeria a Chef passar de vez em quando pelo seu "petit resto" para equilibrar os temperos... Gostei do cardápio que apresenta!

Excellent food stall in the far end (North) of the market. They have a great value dish of the day that I had on two days - seafood rice on Saturday and traditional duck rice on Sunday (a little dry but tasty). Dishes take about 5-15 minutes to prepare.

On propose 5 entrée pour 18€ , les proportions sont’minimes Et ne valent pas le prix . Et le pire c’est que ce n’est pas du tout extraordinaire. Les 5 entrées sont dignes de boîte de conserve

Definitely recommend a visit to Time Out Market. Lots of different options for lunch. Particularly recommend Marlene Vieira. The octopus was to die for and the seafood rice absolutely delicious.

One of the best spot in the time out market in Lisbon. All the 4 dishes that I share with my friends were amazing, 100% typical portogues cousine. Absolutely to recommend.

The food is very very good, fresh sea food and ingredients! The price is fair I've been here with friends for dinner and lunch too. Very recommended!

I had only one dish and ot was amazing! Thewed. Special Crispy pork belly. The crispy skin was a bit too hard to bite on, but the meat and the potatoes were Amazing!

Tried their daily special: codfish fritters. What a disappointment❗️ I hope the chef Marlene Vieira reads this. The cod had zero flavor. No salt, no pepper, not even served with a slice of lemon. It was like eating a fried piece of pizza dough that had a little touch of a fish. And they say that before anyone can open their spot in TIME OUT MARKET - it has to be approved by numerous other chefs. This kinda slipped trough I guess.

Had only one dish but it was great, not a word I use often. I had the duck risotto. It is topped with 2 dainty slices of delicious chorizo and a bit of uncured bacon(I think). The top is broiled to crisp up the rice which adds a nice texture. Under the top layer is a hidden layer of duck. The rice itself is savory and tasty in and of itself. The other dishes looked great too, though didn't get a chance to try them

This was our favorite of all the options in the Time Out market. We had the francesinha and octopus. The octopus was quite good, but the francesinha was outstanding. Very tasty but don't order it unless you are starving. It's very filling.

Really delicious octopus and potato mash. I think there was some salty potato skins that gave it some extra flavour too! Only complaint is that the food was cold :(

Excelente restaurante dentro do espaço do Mercado da Ribeira. Minha sugestão é o Bacalhau à lagareiro. Muito bom prato, bem servido e bom preço. Você também pode pedir o prato do dia, todo dia tem um excelente prato que inclui bebida e sobremesa no combo. Recomendo. É sensacional.

Had the octopus dish and really loved it. It was well cooked and had good flavor of the meat. Never had octopus cooked this well. Highly recommend the place. The seafood soup was very good which wasnt salty... I would come back to this place.

Beautiful presentation of food and nicely curated menu. I ordered cod filet with chickpeas purée and shrimp with curry sauce. Both very tasty based on the little I was able to try before my cilantro allergy kicked in. Unfortunately there was no mention of cilantro on the menu, thus I’m giving three stars. Also cod was bit over baked and dry.

I was drawn to the long lineups in front of this place within Time Out Market, and I was not disappointed! Very surprised (and happy) to see that there is a vegetarian menu (see attached), on top of a mixture of seafood and traditional Portuguese food options. Do be aware that take away incur a .50 surcharge per item. Eat there and enjoy the atmosphere if you can!

We were on a hunt of real Portugese food, that's when we bumped into this place on the busy Timeout Market. The service is really well organised, you got a token that buzzing when your food is ready to pick up. All the dishes reflect the Portugese cuisine, so we kept going back there and try new ones. One thing I would highlight, is that the allergens are not marked on the menu.

Buonissimo, abbiamo mangiato in due e preso il menù degustazione da 8 portate, costo 25 euro. Tutto preparato con cura, preparazioni impeccabili e presentazioni carine. Dopo aver mangiato varie volte in posti che proponevano i soliti piatti tradizionali portoghesi, qui si può assaggiare qualcosa di più sfizioso. I piatti della chef in realtà non si discostano di tantissimo da quelli tradizionali, ma portano qualche aggiunta in più che rende tutto di un livello superiore. Purtroppo, data la fame, non abbiamo foto che testimoniano.

Excellent, bon, pas cher (pour un français). Il semblerait que ce soit la cantine qui a le plus de succès dans ce Food Market. Je suis venu à 18h00, il n'y avait pas beaucoup de queue, j'ai été servi en 5 min.. Parfait.

Giunti al timeout market tra la vasta scelta di ristorantini d'asporto abbiamo deciso di provare questo. Nulla da dire sull'ottima qualità del piatto e la presentazione; il costo però è altino considerando il fatto che non ci sia servizio e che ci si sieda ai tavolini in mezzo al mercato (auguri a trovare anche 2 posti liberi, o nel mio caso una singola sedia disponibile ). Ho trovato inoltre il piatto misero come quantità; in poche parole se venite qui di proposito al timeout market per visitarlo e mangiare ci sta, altrimenti a 14 euro a piatto mangiate meglio in un ristorante vero con servizio e coperto.

I can absolutely recommend this place. We had grilled pork bell with coriander and muscles with baked potatoes. Cake for dessert and house wine of choosing. Whole thing was 12 euro if I am not mistaken. Fresh, well presented and delicious. Edit: after 3 years we were in Lisbon again and ended up in TimeOut Market. We had a an amazing lunch with duck rice and yummy cheesecake. I am upping the rating from 4 to 5

I would definitely recommend Marlene Vieira Restaurant, Time Out Market. We went there a few occasions and loved the food. It was a moderate price, plenty of choices and hence why we kept going back. They had a “Today’s special” which changed everyday and was cheaper if you ordered their special (€9.90) or alternatively their “Today’s special + Drink + Dessert” (€15).

The food is PERFECT. Potatoes coming with the grilled octopus were even better than the octopus, and the octopus itself was super good!!! Desserts are also divine. While waiting in the queue we looked at other people's dishes; we wanted them all, everything looked so good (except mini burgers maybe, they looked a bit boring in comparison with other options, but I'm not a burgers fan at all)! Prices also very fair. If there were no issues with finding a seat at Time Out Market in general, we would eat at this corner 2 times every day in Lisbon!

The set of five appetizers was very good! Its filling and can feed two people well. Its got bread and a serving of pulpo, mussels, chick peas, hamburger and shrimps with a mustard sauce. They also have a dessert with like a flan on top In millefeuille. Perfect with Coffee.

It is challenging to find the right food in a foreign country where you don’t know the language and food traditions, especially if you are surrounded by so many options like in Timeout market. There is no major explanations on the short menus, no pictures to compare. You look around to see what other people are eating and trying to decide on your plate. While I was doing just that I saw my first dish: seafood stew. It was so delicious that the next day I came to Marlene Vieira for the daily special: seafood rice. Both yummy! The presentation is good and the taste is absolutely delicious.

Not a single complaint for the three dishes we tried! Highly recommend the duck risotto and the fried prawns (the curry mayonnaise is genius)!

comida excelente e atendimento rápido. Melhor polvo á lagareiro que comi. As cascas de batatas frita são espetaculares e são cobertas com azeite em pó que deixa tudo MUITO saboroso. O Arroz com abóboras e queijo de cabra também é sensacional. Vale muito a visita...ou as visitas hehehehe Verifique os pratos do dia para preços mais acessíveis.

Comida de autor a muy buen precio. Comimos pulpo riquísimo ( 12€ ). Me encanto el restaurante, el mercado y lo bien que han sabido escoger a los profesionales que no sólo nos dan de comer, sino que nos hacen sentir Lisboa.

The Rosbife was great! Time Out is a food court with quality restaurant food, great concept. It is very crowded but we managed to get our food in a reasonable time. Vieira makes typical Portuguese plates in a beautiful presentation.

I honestly was not expecting much from a food hall, but was very surprised when I came across Marlene Vieira at the Time Out Market in Lisboa. It offered an 8 piece tasting menu that looked very interesting. So I gave it a try and found it to be creative and delicious. I also ordered the seafood rice dish which was very tasty. Definitely a good place to try.

Had an EXCELLENT lunch here! We had veal in a delicious sauce. It was the perfect amount of food, and exceptionally tasty.
