Sensational in every way! The food is delicious, serving sizes are just right and the price is cheaper than any restaurant in the area. Super friendly staff, beautiful interior and great music. Highly, highly recommended.

The food was good, the portions are quite small (2 tacos for 6.5€) and the local beer with 5€ for 0.5L is quite expensive. Great was the big screen to watch football ⚽

Buen sitio, ambiente jovial y permisivo. Ideal para grupos jóvenes. La comida que nos sacaron, muy bien y al final no fué una gran clavada, cosa que se agradece.

Jídlo celkem dobré, ale je to past na turisty. Z tacos se najíst nedá a naúčtovali nám úplně jiné ceny, než měli uvedeny v jídelním lístku. Buďte opatrní.

Muy buen sitio para beber unas buenas copas acompañadas de comida mexicana.
Excelente sitio para pasar buenos momentos con buena comida, buen ambiente y excelente servicio! Los tacos más mexicanos de todo Portugal! Una buena apuesta por la genuina y autentica comida mexicana.. Hasta cerveza Corona puedes encontrar! RECOMIENDO!

Good mexican restaurant. We had some tacos, the ceviche and some nachos. Nachos were great, though the lack some more quantity of the toppings. The tacos were good, I liked the beef nachos the most. The ceviche was just ok, the only fish we found in was 8 pieces of salmon, the sauce was good though

Excelente servicio, la comida tiene el toque mexicano sin duda y los precios son buenos. La música en el interior es alta y es reggaeton pero si no te gusta simplemente puedes pasar tiempo en las mesas de afuera. Mi novio y yo repetimos varias veces en este lugar¡¡

La comida no esta mal, sin embargo no les puedo dar mas de una estrella ya que la jarra de sangría en el menú ponia 16€ con total seguridad y luego a la hora de pagar resultaron ser 20€ al reclarmarlo al camarero alegó que estábamos mintiendo ( con altaneria) y que todas las cartas ponían 20€ que en tofo caso se trataba de unarta vieja. Me he sentido estafada y aunque solo sea por 4€ no volvería. Quizás por ser turitas nos vio cara de tontas.

Accueil sympathique, restaurant atypique, tarif correct mais un gros soucis au niveau des proportions des plats le rapport qualité n'est pas correct le tacos est servi comme un échantillon avec des os en plus de la viande

I've been to Taqueria Patron twice. The first time the food was exceptional and the second time it was just plain average.
To begin, I never "planned" on visiting this restaurant, I just happened to walk by and saw people eating what looked like good mexican food. So myself and a friend grabbed a seat and proceeded to have a great meal with delicious food.
I happened to be out with the same friend again a few weeks later and coincidentally in the exact same area and we both thought we'd give the place another try as it was great before. Maybe it was due to the late hour (after 10pm) or that they were sold out of two of the six types of tacos, but quality was just off.
For those reading, I would still recommend going but maybe earlier in the night for having all options available and maybe chefs who are more inspired.

Cocktails were great! And then.... The pork tacos that we ordered were apparently not ready for two more hours (it was 10pm) and we were not told in advance. So we changed the order for something else which wasn't really want we wanted, but we had already ordered a second drink so we stayed. 30 minutes later we had finished our cocktails and our order of 2 tacos had not even been started. Very disappointing as we were sitting at the front and noticed how the staff were more focused on getting people in and not much on afterwards service.

Two times here. I like the fact you can sit at the bar, but you are also on the street. Both times I've got into conversions, which makes it a great spot for a solo traveler.

Super quirky, small Mexican food spot, no Tex Mex jokery, this is definitely more on the authentic side. Good assortment of sauces, also a very good homemade and real spicy one, if you ask for it. Bang for the buck is top, overall taste is great, food is fresh. We tried nachos (best in a long time), quesadillas, ceviche (it's rather a starter than a main, for 7€ this is a no brainier though, rather on the sweeter side of things with fresh mango inside, different but very good) and of course various tacos. Desertwise make sure you try their flan imposible (a firm flan on top, brownie style cake below) and their version of tres leches cake with coconut - banger! The Cuban waitress is a lot of fun - service in general is very nice and welcoming, yet uncomplicated.

So besides the amazing hospitality from the owner who took us in from rain and gave us expresso while we waited for our AirBnB to get ready, the food is authentic.
I use to live on the border of Mexico and Texas. The chips, although not the fresh fried tortilla, they taste just like the chips made in Eagle pass, TX. I cant remember the name of the company but its another style of tortilla chips that are popular on the border.
The pastor was the best I've tasted in a long time. The Tinga was amazing. If you like spicy, ask for the dark red pepper sauce. It tastes exactlt how it does on the border.
Margaritas are good.
You will not be dissapointed here.
