A small restaurant on a steep street. It serves typical Portuguese food. The restaurant is run by two elderly gentlemen, who do not speak English.
We took menu and then asked one of the owners for recommendations. He recommended: Sea Bass, Croaker Fish and a Portuguese steak. All meals were simple, but very good. The restaurant offers very good price / quality ratio.

현지인들이 가는 식당입니다. 제가 갔을 때는 관광객이 저희만 있더라구요.. 그리고 요리에 보통 삶은 감자?와 같이 나오는데 라이스로 바꿀 수 있습니다. 그래서 저는 전부 라이스로 바꾸어 먹었습니다. 오랜만에 라이스를 먹으니 좋더라구요..(한국인이라...) 그리고 전날에 갔다 또 가서 알아보셨는지 많이 주셨습니다 ㅋㅋ 이 집은 고기도 맛있었지만 생선구이 요리들이 정말 맛있더라구요..가격도 착합니다!
다만 할아버지께서 조금 무서우신데 서투른 포루투갈어로 '맛있어요!'라고 하니 활짝 웃으시면서 엄청 좋아하시더라구요. 아마 현지인만오다가 관광객이 와서 긴장하신것 같았어요(귀여우심..ㅎㅎ) 이 식당 추천합니다!

Excellente adresse. Produits frais et cuisinés simplement. Juste ce que l on voulait, à un petit prix, 20€ pour 2 incluant apéro, plat et vin. Accueil un peu froid, ne parle ni l anglais ni le français mais c était bon et copieux.

Great food, great service, truly authentic!
Came on recommendation from a local and was not disappointed. I was a little nervous going in at first, expecting not so great service after reading reviews below, but was completely surprised with AMAZING service. Was seated immediately despite the place being quite busy, with a smiling face no less. I had my Google translate on standby as we were handed the menu, but again was pleasantly surprised by the menu having an English version, French and Italian! And lastly, the old man came and ordered (again with a smiling face)!
I ordered a "Groupa", never heard of it before but was delicious! The potatoes were amazing, and came with a salad too! My partner had the T bone steak, and we shared a dessert and some wine. All was so good and for just under 30 euros! I wish I came here earlier to try all the different fish they have will definitely be back!!
If you're expecting to have personal waiters at your beck and call, maybe go to the touristy restaurants where there are waiters ushering people in. If you're wanting good food at a local mom and pop restaurant, this is your place! Also, it is unfair for anyone to assume locals would just speak English, you are in Portugal after all. There being an English menu is a nice bonus!

Delicious fish, poor service, authentic feel. The chef / head barbecue grill man has a very special relationship with his grill. It’s really enjoyable to watch him take care of it.
For 3 people including enough wine to make you stumble home we paid 30€. I almost choked on another fish bone it was so cheap for such incredible quality food.
Bring your best Portuguese accent, an open mind and a big smile and you won’t be disappointed. Don’t come on pretentious tourist mode.

Максимально аутентичное семейное заведение. Очень тесно. Почти все посетители - местные жители. Ценник ОЧЕНЬ низкий. Примерно в 2-3 раза ниже остальных мест. 1,5 евро ведро салата, горячее 5-10 евро. Порции при этом огромные. Довольно вкусно. Если говорите по португальски, то получите ещё и хорошее домашнее обслуживание.

Brutal...hemos comido una hermosa ración de sardinas y una dorada a la brasa y el sabor era increíble. Esto acompañado de una gran fuente de ensalada que tan solo costaba 2,5€, con un vino verde y dos postres caseros... todo ello sin llegar a las s 30€.
Sin duda muy muy recomendable.

Nettes, kleines Lokal, das etwas abgelegen der Haupttouristenwege in einer kleinen Gasse liegt. Man bekommt eine Auswahl von Fisch und Fleischgerichten. Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis: meine Freundin und ich aßen beide Fisch und teilten uns Vor- und Nachspeise. Inklusive Getränken lag die Rechnung bei knapp über 30 €. Einige Gerichte auf der Karte waren nicht verfügbar. Der Salat war groß, bestand aber nur aus Blättern, Karotten, rohen Zwiebeln und einigen Tomaten. Die Fischgerichte werden mit gekochten Kartoffeln serviert. Bedienung ist freundlich, spricht aber kein Englisch. Wir würden wieder dorthin gehen.

Hablando en bajo en portuges cuando se retiraba de la mesa para cualquier cosa que le pedias, eso si yo tambien me acordaba de su familia.

Clean place. But the staff is not friendly. As locals we were served kind of "trying to be nice" but we saw the tourists were served cold.. Like they hate them. Also the meat was not warm enough and the portions are small.. Especially the fish plates. Not the place to go for a good, nice relaxing dinner.

Einheimische essen hier auch sehr gern!
Definitiv lieber hier essen als in der Innenstadt, wo es fast nur Touristenfallen gibt!

Oh my goodness! This has been our best meal in Lisbon! The food was delicious (pork ribs & poultry sausage w/egg) and the service was perfect. (Don't deny yourself the pão e mantiega for a few euros. Eten dat oprecht en met veel liefde gemaakt is! Het was zo lekker dat we nog eens een tweede keer geweest zijn, waarbij we even hartelijk ontvangen werden en minstens even goed gegeten hebben! Je gaat hier ook zeker niet met honger naar huis. Tip: neem het Maria dessertje; dit is om duimen en vingers af te lekken ;)

Délicieux !
C’était vraiment très bon et sur tout frais!
Nous avons pris le saumon grillé et la morue grillé avec un super vin blanc.
Je vous conseil de goûter les frittes maison vous ne serez pas déçu!
Endroit typique bistro portugais.
Les plats sont très copieux et il faut prévoir du cash car ils ne prennent pas la carte.
Très bon rapport qualité prix (cf photo)

Una suerte toparnos con este restaurante. No está en una calle principal de echo está bastante escondido pero es perfecto.
El pescado de primera categoría y super fresco. Te hacen la comida a la brasa delante tuya para que lo veas. En la cocina una señora portuguesa. Comida en grandes cantidades, las patatas de acompañamiento super buenas también. El precio medio con la bebida ronda los 10€ (pidiendo platos top). Fuera solo tienen carta en portugués pero dentro la tienen en más idiomas.

Love this place. Variety of fish menus (my favorite) and they are so cheap. My friend and I were expecting some bad services according to some reviews but it was not that bad. I mean, when you’re in Lisbon, just go with the flow in the small local restaurant. We just said Muito Bon and Obrigado and the owner returned a smile. What’s more do you expect? We had a good time there. Recommended if you’re looking for a really cheap and delicious dinner.

Creio que seja uma legítima tasca portuguesa. A comida é ótima e o atendimento pode ser simpático. O que mais gostei é ser bem servido e o preço é bom. Continuem assim. É escondidinha, o qie deixa ainda mais charmosa, com cara de achado. Recomendo pedirem sempre peixe, parece ser a especialidade da casa.

De passagem para apanhar transporte público e num dia de chuva decidimos descer a rua.
Já com alguma fome começamos a procurar um sítio para almoçar.
Encontramos este restaurante, estabelecimento local, em que, apesar de estar cheio, o senhor lá nos arranjou uma mesinha para dois a um cantinho. Acomida é muito boa, o peixe fresquíssimo, atendimento simpático e preços a condizer e bastante acessíveis. Um daqueles sítios tradicionais nesta zona de Lisboa.
Altamente recomendável.
A ter em atenção que o estabelecimento é pequeno e à hora de almoço está sempre cheio. Convém chegar cedo ou pedir para guardar mesa.
Uma curiosidade... um pouco mais abaixo está a casa onde nasceu Amália Rodrigues.

No esperes un lugar glamuroso. Ahora, la comida a la parrilla fantástica.
Servicio un tanto rústico pero acompañado por unos productos de gran calidad y precios muy económicos.
Pedimos el pollo a la parrilla (glorioso), costillas y corvina (súper fresca).
Total 32€.
Merece mucho mucho la pena. Clientela básicamente portuguesa y algún que otro turista.

Amazing little local restaurant. Large portions for only 10 EURO. My wife had the smaller portion but it really was half a chicken for 5 EURO. Wine was very good and cheap. Don't need to order an appetizer. Place is small and they will reserve tables for the locals so it can be busy and we saw people being turned away. But would still highly recommend if you want to eat like the locals.

Отличное место для ужина, а главное вкусно как дома да еще и дёшево. Рекомендую взять кувшин вина, оливок, чесночный хлеб, мяско, рыбку, салатик... Короче все у них вкусно... Рекомендую!!!

Nada turística, sólo gente local.
Una dorada y pollo a la brasa espectacular.
El sitio es típico portugués, muy pequeñito y acinado, con solo 6-7 mesas.
Sin duda, volveremos.

Wir sind sehr oft hier. Das Restaurant ist familiengeführt.
Die Gerichte, ob Fisch oder Fleisch, werden frisch mit frischen Zutaten zubereitet.
Einige haben das distanzierte bis unfreundliche Verhalten der Gastgeber bemängelt. Mit ein bisschen Entgegenkommen und vielleicht auch ein paar Brocken Portugiesisch wird man sich bestimmt wohlfühlen. Es ist nunmehr ein einfaches Restaurant, dass hauptsächlich von Anwohnern und Beschäftigten der Umgebung besucht wird.

Posto con pochi coperti ma carino e caratteristico di Lisbona con le pareti ricoperte di mattonelle. Il proprietario non parla l' inglese; le portate (nel nostro caso carne alla brace con contorni vari) sono abbondanti e buone. Rapporto qualità/prezzo ottimo (circa 10 € a persona).

Es una alternativa ideal para comer barato y bien. Su mejor baza, la parrilla, en la que se cocina su mejor oferta. Entre 10 y 15 € por cabeza con platos que en cualquier lugar costarían el doble. Y esto ¿a cambio de qué? Un lugar al que no podrás acceder sin la ayuda de Google, por callejones que, según las horas, te harán dudar de tu seguridad, en cuestas, y con un local con aspecto de tasca de pueblo, con un personal tosco cuya mejor baza no es la simpatía ni las buenas maneras. Por este motivo, no repetiría, seguiría buscando otras opciones. Pero si no das importancia a estas cosas, es un buen lugar donde comer barato y bien.

Pescado a la brasa buenísimo. Nos pedimos rodaballo (9€) y pez espada (8€), viene de acompañamiento ensalada y patatas asadas. Los platos son muy grandes :-)

Kommunikation auf Englisch etwas schwierig. Essen ist sehr günstig aber dem entsprechend darf man auch nichts extravagantes erwarten. Mein essen fande ich etwas Unterwürzt.

Notre premier et dernier dîner sur Lisbonne était là-bas.

Seltenst, dass ich ein paar Zeilen bei einer seltenen Bewertung schreibe, aber der Fisch hier ist definitiv der beste, den ich bisher gegessen habe! Fangfrisch auf Holzkohle zubereitet, dazu in einem abgelegenen kleinen urigen Restaurant serviert. Perfekt!

Restaurant with typical Portuguese cuisine. Tasty, fresh, they have grill and prepare grilled fish in front of you. Service don't speak English but is very friendly and helpful. Nice price. I wish I could come back.

Fomos para comer sardinha, chegando lá não tinha pois não era época de pesca. Sem desanimar, pedimos outros pratos. Estava simplesmente delicioso!! Comida muito bem servida, o prato pra uma pessoa alimenta duas. Sem falar no preço, muito barato!

Le doy solo 2 estrellas, porque me han intentado meter un trozo de bacalao recalentado. Estaban haciendo a la brasa dos lomos de bacalao impresionantes y cuál fue mi sorpresa cuando me presentaron media cola de bacalao, donde todo era la espina y que había visto como recalentaban entre dos bandejas en la misma brasa.
Después de tener que ponerme fuerte, me pusieron otro trozo, ahora sí buenísimo. Posteriormente vi como el trozo recalentado se lo pusieron a otro comensal.

Restaurante pequeño, caben 34 páginas como máximo, los camareros correctos, y el servicio rápido. Las raciones son grandes, comimos tres por 26€ con una cerveza y agua. El pescado a la brasa buenísimo. Si podemos volveremos. Se está un poco apretado pero la comida merece la pena. No aceptan tarjetas de crédito.

Good food. Great prices. Not a whole lot of selection but we had BBQ chicken and it was great! The small roads leading up to this place from the main praca are somewhat sketchy. I would return, just not too late at night considering its location

The restaurant is kind of a hidden gem. Not very touristic, nobody speaks english, but the fish was absolutely fantastic. And the prices very low. I would go there every day if I could.

Muy barato para la zona. Pescado de lo más normalito y servicio regular, desganado. En la puerta pone comida portuguesa pero no tienen sopa!!! El entrante por excelencia en Portugal. Gran decepción. No sé cómo el resto ha podido darle 5 estrellas. Si tengo la oportunidad volveré alguna vez para probar la carne y ver si el servicio tiene un mejor día.

Fantastic fish! Small, cozy restaurant, grill is placed in the window, so you can see from the street what's cooking now. Sometimes only part of the menu is available, but that's a guarantee that what's there is super fresh. Lovely dessert!

Best place for grilled fish in town. Order what's available on the day's menu. Fresh and perfectly cooked.
Service on the slow side but friendly and nice. If you are in a hurry this is not the place for you. Fair prices.

Great little local spot. This was the first meal on our first night in Portugal. Menu is conveniently also in English. Good thing because not much English is spoken in there.
We were starving so we ordered some pork (rib tips), chicken, and fish - all grilled up perfectly as well as simply spiced. The 3 dishes were served with some sort of potatoes (either boiled or french fries) and a simply dressed salad. Portuguese olive oil is great so not much needed on a salad besides that & a little vinegar.
Great, affordable spot that is definitely always filled with locals. Every time we walked by (a block from our Airbnb flat), it was busy. Also, our meal that consisted of 3 main dishes & a half bottle of wine was about €20.

Há mais de um ano que sempre que fazemos jantares de grupo é neste restaurante. Não podem ser grupos muito grandes pois o espaço é pequeno. Mas a comida é muito boa, as doses grandes e os preços muito acessíveis. Comida tipicamente portuguesa. E a dona muito simpática. Aconselho.

It's a very small and crowdy restaurant but good and cheap as well. There are fish or meat plates and you can choose between big or small one. Small plates of meat costs less than 5€ but it's really enough.
