Place is great if you have kids and want to be close to the strip and beach and not have to walk far for anything
Pool is beautiful but needs some work.
Apartments are very spacious but also needs updating. The bathrooms especially needs attention.
Also a friendly tip that you BYO pool towel.

Excellent hotel location and service. beds are bit hard and bathrooms outdated and need a upgrade. Regarding facilities everything free sauna indoor pool jacuzzi etc.. except gym which they charge € 6 which I find strange and bit disappointing. They also advertise Turkish Bath but there is none which wife was disappointed about. But however on the whole I would return to this hotel.

just got back from this hotel make sure you check if you have booked bed breakfast and evening meal they dont do evening meals anymore we booked this holiday last year and found out when we booked in.to be told to have lunch instead witch starts about hour and half after breakfast.we didnt go for this and phoned our travel agents up in england who helped but not coverd all our expencses.didnt enjoy looking for resturants every night ,when we thought we would be eating in there resturant.wont be going back.but all the staff were very nice.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt in Albufeira. Das Appartment war sensationell und das Personal unheimlich bemüht- und wir hatten wirklich viele Anliegen...Das Frühstück ist ein Traum und kontinental abgestimmt, da kommt jeder auf seine Kosten. Der Infinity Pool verzaubert alle, denn dort kann, geschwommen, gesprungen, gerutscht oder einfach entspannt werden. Dass der Strand direkt vor dem riesigen Hotel Areal liegt, ist das i-Tüpfelchen.

Gute Lage im Zentrum von Albufeira, kostenlose Parkplätze. Es gibt ein sehr gutes Frühstück mit Blick auf Pool und Meer.

Stayed there 2019 May. We are dissapointed of this hotel. Everything is old, starting from reception till the room terrace. On every corner room service troleys parked, dirty carpets in a corridors, tiles in a bathroom broken, cheap bathroom equipment, all plastic bath accessories, shower gel in a big plastic holder. All furniture in a room from 2000 or older. Bed covers and mat awful. Breakfast very poor for 5* hotel. Pool was maintaining while guests were already gathered to relax. So one star goes only for the kicthen. 5* ocean view hotel with 2* service. Not worth the money.

Excellent location, nice pool, but the facilities (SPA, whirlpool, restaurant) disappointing. Breakfast for 10 EUR doesn't even keep the standard of 4 stars. Better go on the street and pick any nearby restaurant for breakfast.

Lovely public area's, however, our room needs refurbishing. Kitchen appliances old, units are tatty. Noisy at night as we came away with our daughter, but groups of youths staying and being rowdy. Pool has no lifeguard on duty and if you want to use indoor pool and jacuzzi it's compulsory to have a swimming cap. Entertainment consists of a singer every other night. Pool area needs sprucing up, no painting been done. Not a bad hotel if you are using it as a base as the pool is impressive, water flume and diving board. We came as infiniti plus members, expected much higher standard but as our room is a club and so I'll equipped can only award three stars. This place needs serious work and won't be staying here again.

Arriving by car up the drive is an indication of what is to follow. The drive is pitted with potholes. The decor of the hotel is to be polite ‘tired’ While grateful to e able to access my room early I was greeted a number of rules. Room service only every 2 days an additional charge to use the room safe, no cloth to dry dishes, I’m in an apartment, I had to empty the dishwasher to find crockery. Would I stay again? No

Great hotel, excellent pool, self catering facilities more than adequate. Small jaunt to a decent supermarket but when you find your bearings not an issue. Just off of "the strip" but suprisingly quiet considering where it is. Within a minute from beach. Buffet breakfast on first morning was very nice and certainly better value and more filling than our first evening meal at one of "the strip" restaurants. Would most probably stay in the old town should we visit again as we found the surrounding area to be a bit silk dress and no knickers! Enjoyable stay.

We had a very pleasant holiday here. The location is very good as it’s a very short work to a great beach and the new town ‘strip’ which has plenty of restaurants and bars. Also a short taxi ride to the old town. Our room was spacious and well equipped but fittings were dated. The dishwasher broke and was fixed the next day. All in all mostly positive and would certainly consider staying here again.

First room we got was trash. Cobwebs everywhere, cracks in the walls, exposed wiring, damp everywhere. Basically if you order a deluxe room and you get room 300. Ask for a new one. Second room we got was great. Good bathroom, great balcony view, two beds instead of one.

Well located to main strip, breakfast had a good variety, huge rooms and lovely hard decor with kitchens, Shower very powerful and always had hot water. Swimming pool very cold outside high season, good diving platform and kids slides, didn't see any lifeguards but this maybe because it wasn't classed as high season. Hotel bar shuts at 11pm and has 'limited' entertainment.

Grande chambre. Matelas à revoir, c est une vraie torture pour le dos.Attention tout est payant. Sport, matelas de plage, coffre-fort, etc...jaccuzi vide.lieu de vacance en famille Personnel très agréable.. Cela ne correspond pas du tout à un 5 etoilesL avenue principale d albufeira n est pas du tout pittoreque.tres bruyante ,plutôt pour les jeunes qui aiment la fête. Pour le typique, il vaut mieux aller ailleurs

Fantastic, friendly service, perfect situation, close to the beach but far enough from the noise. An amazing view from our apartment, which was always clean light and airy. Some of the facilities were a bit out dated, iron, microwave, hairdryer, toaster, felt like a nod to the 80's however they worked ♀️ I would recommend persons to come and stay, as I look forward to returning next year

My family and I had the most wonderful experience. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We would like to say big thank you to our waiter Krishna who made our experience more enjoyable. He looked after me and my family with a great care and kindness. Hotel com instalações antigas e a necessitar urgentemente de remodelação. Pontos altos a vista do quarto, a piscina e a simpatia de alguns funcionários; pontos negativos a atitude pouco profissional de alguns funcionários, que roça a falta de respeito pelo cliente, notoriedade preferem turistas ingleses, visto que o gerente só falar inglês. Não aconselho, considero que pelo preço consegue-se melhor.

Great service from all staff. Asked to see a room before booking as needed specific requirements. Good size apartment with kitchen and walk-in shower, perfect. Lift to all floors and pool area. There was also an indoor pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna but they were in need of some TLC. While we were there some of the apartments were being updated. And yes the apartment my mum had needed it too but it didn't stop my mum enjoying her stay and would recommend the hotel.

One of the best and I will be returning with my hubby he has to come here. This place is amazing! One of the times of my life the best bar staff, the friendliest people and relaxing as hell exactly what a holiday should be, ticks all the boxes and doesn't disappoint in any way.

Fantastic location. Great pool & beach access directly from pool area. Although not very warm water in March.
We had a one bed apartment, which was a Great size. Had a large living room, with TV & WiFi with good signal (this always makes my husband happy) kitchen with kettle fridge, hob & oven.
Bathroom nice size with shower over bath. Hairdryer ok but not that powerful.
Bedroom was a good size with plenty of wardrobe space.
The rooms had air conditioning & room service seemed to come every other day
Rooms are dated but clean. The hotel is being refurbished at the moment but this didn't seem to effect guests.
We would definitely go back hear, had a great time with everything on the doorstep.

Did not like it and won't go back... My Superior Terrace Room turned out to be a regular self catering room with a balcony, no sea views.. If that's a Superior Terrace Room, I would hate to stay in a standard room... I paid a little extra to get a Superior Terrace Room and all I got was a decent self catering with a balcony... Plus they were doing some refurbishment work, sometimes drilling and hammering from 8am... And I was put in that room, you know that bad room near the indoor swimming pool... If they give you room 100, refuse it ! You've been warned...

Party of 3 stayed here in December 2018 on 2 rooms. There was a bit of confusion with the booking arrangements but the reception staff gave us 2 excellent rooms. The rooms were huge, clean and tidy with good self catering arrangements. The resort was very quiet at this time of year but we had a great stay at the hotel. You can use the hotels lift to take you to the 4th floor which takes you to an exit at the top of the strip. The pool area is stunning, right behind the beach with an infinity pool. The grounds of the hotel are immaculately kept. Despite it being quiet at the hotel there was some night time entertainment which was good. All the staff were very polite and helpful.
We booked self catering but used the hotel restaurant for breakfast some days, the food was ok for the price. Our room had aircon in the living room and another unit in the bedroom which was good. I would definitely return to this hotel and have booked to stay at another Muthu hotel in April 2019.

Excellent room and facilities. Easy reach of Albufeira town and more local restaurants etc Staff were extremely helpful. Noisy neighbours were a problem for a week though once the kids had gone to bed the noise abated. Two weeks in mid February means minimal events and entertainment at the resort

It was lovely.
The place was beautiful and the staff were lovely. The onsite shop we thought might be expensive but after venturing to other nearby shops the prices are actually on par with those.
They gave us a free bottle of wine for my boyfriend's birthday unprompted.
They gave us a free upgrade on arrival unprompted.
The location is great right near the beach and local shops restaurants etc.
Only bad feedback was that there was a square indoor Jacuzzi where the indoor pool is which is advertised on their website but i heard it has been closed for years which is a little naughty. But thats just a minor observation.

Came not expecting to much in February however I have been pleasantly surprised. Great room with sea views through the gaps haha. The breakfast was good and lots of choices. The hotel is situated right on the beach and 2 great swimming pools but a bit cold to take a dip. I believe there is an indoor pool but you need swim hats for that. The room has an enormous bed good bathroom TV with bbc1 and 2 itv and channel 4, we were in room 217a 2nd floor with balcony. The bar has an happy hour 4 till 8 not bad prices entertainment was good a different singer every night. In the room was free safe hair dryer iron and ironing board. The staff are very friendly. If you take the lift to 6th floor it's then only 5 mins to the strip but far enough to here no noise. We had 2 great meals one at Donald's and next door in the fish restaurant. The staff in the legends bar on the strip were great, the train to the old Town was 5euros each but can jump on and off. The beaches are fantastic and a gentle stroll then into Louisiana's for a couple of drinks PERFECT. all this for under 450 for 2 people well done LOVE HOLIDAYS.

The location of the hotel is superb. The suite we were assigned was not acceptable to us for a 28 day stay. It was not the view on the web. We paid to upgrade to a beautiful suite with a great view. The service was not 5 star in North America. We loved the view but the bed was also not 5 star by North American standards. Loved Portugal and this 25 yr old property was ideally situated for view and “ the strip”Terry Winnipeg

Stayed here for a long weekend that did not go to plan. The hotel staff helped out with the problems in away they could. Would recommend to others due the the staffs helpfulness in my time of need. Room was good and spacious, thr only complaint is that the bed was two singles pushed together to be a double bed in the first room I stayed in but the second night due to circumstances they gave me a different room free of charge for the night, this room had a lovely double bed over all a positive experience staying at this hotel!

Good points First, I'd like to to say we had a lovely holiday, the hotel was very clean and staff polite the reason for me scoring a 3 is due to the hotel condition mainly the rooms and overall maintenance of the building, we supposably s intopped in a newly refurbished deluxe room which in some respects I can see the occasional new item but a lot appears to have been left probably through cost cutting this left items in the room looking scabby and not working correctly. (see attached photos)
For example the shower door was literally hanging off on arrival which I reported and subsequently was removed not repaired, one sink had no plug or waste kit the other was jammed in close position, the tables had sharp veneer hanging off the edges, the patio doors were a million miles off being secure to the point where I had to jam a spoon in the lock to prevent it being opened from the out side as the adjoining rooms could climb on to our balcony, the safe was just screwed to a 18mm thick wardrobe shelf so not very secure at all.
One of the more annoying thing was the bins and rubbish, the pool bin we used from day 1 to our last was never emptyed most bins had half eaten food in them so smelt bad there were beer bottles round the pool left for days and never moved to which we cleared the bottles we found, staff just walked past for example there was a half drunk cup of coffee on the wall it was walked by numerous times and never touched until I threw in the bin 2 days after.
There was a lot of cracked window and door glass.
Floor tiles cracked, pool drains blocked so there was a lot of standing water very slippy for kids, staff aware just plonked slippery surface sign over drain.
OVERALL, clean rooms but dated, polite staff, poor building maintenance, no way 5 star would give 3 star maximum due to dated build and upkeep.

Never ever write 1 of these but the place is absolutely stunning. The grounds are well kept and the rooms are spotless. Free to use all spa facilities including indoor pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. There is plenty of places to eat and drink and only a 20 minute walk into the old town which is stunning in itself. Will Defo be coming back to this beautiful place

We have been here from the 23rd to 30th, and what can i say, fantastic weather, fantastic hotel, and fantastic food, the room it self very spacious, and cleaned most days, also food lots of variety every day and always hot, staff very friendly, and entertainment very good each night. Just me and the husband came, and deffinally booking it for next September, there is so much to do, even for families to, there is a great heated swimming pool, and out, but that not heated...can't wait to come back next year, on that ty to everyone at this hotel could not ask for better Lisa and ray room 412 x x

Loving it here room is very spacious, great workable kitchen with all the utensils you need. Coffee maker, toaster, 4ring electric hob, combination oven/microwave. Spotless, great balcony reception area is stunning staff so far have been polite and welcoming outside area excellent right on beach

The hotel is staring to look its sge. It is located next to the beach with a very large infinity pool. There are several cafes snd restaurants located nearby. Also has a market nearby so you do not have to travel far from the hotel. An excellent location, but it is very touristy.

Stayed at this magnificent hotel for 7 nights. My children are autistic and the staff couldn't be more accommodating to our needs. We stayed in the 1 bedroom deluxe apartment sea view. The kitchenette had most utensils..pots..frying pan..grater..toaster..kettle.. electric hob . microwave..fridge/freezer etc. We've just got back(2nd week of October) had one day of rain. Best time to visit Sept. There was a bit of a walk to restaurant however if you can't use steps and need stroller or wheelchair access that is available. Only one downside which is no WiFi at restaurant and that we needed for kids entertainment. The beach was on our doorstep and strip with bars, shops and restaurants within walking distance. Had a Thai massage from a place opposite. Could use sauna, jacuzzi and in door pool for free. Visited Zoomarine which had a must see Dolphins show, bird show, aquarium, fake beach with loads of slides in waterpark. You could take a photo with a dolphin or bird and swim with dolphins. Loved this holiday. Will visit again.

Pour moi cet Hotel 5 étoiles ne vaut pas un 5 étoiles en France. Donc ne soyez pas déçu. L'espace piscine est magnifique. Quelques travaux de rénovations sont à prévoir et je ne comprend pas pourquoi cela n'a toujours pas été fait. Le personnel est accueillant
Par contre les chambres sont très mal insonoriées.. On entend vos voisins ainsi que les gens discuter sur le parking si votre chmabre donne sur le parking. Penser aux boules qies
Des magasins et des restaurants présent autour font qu'on peut rester dans le complexe sans forcément bouger.

Hotel pas digne d'un 5étoiles , on a payé pour vue sur mer et nous avions toute leurs structures , restaurant , solarium devant puis derrière la mer!!! Après avoir gueuler ils nous ont changés mais sincèrement manque de tact ! leurs encens à longueur de journée ça saoule , aussi! Les repas sont toujours pareil du lundi au dimanche donc si vous rester 10 jours ... c'est nul ! trop cher pour la qualité ! Hotel à éviter !Arnaque ! Pas de frigo , les desserts ne sont pas au frais , si cous arrivez à midi ils sont frais mais si vous arrivez à 14 h la mousse à fondu!!!!Navrant ! Très très déçus !Nous sommes partis en famille mais déçus et la mer à deux pas de l'hôtel à pleins d'algues donc la baignade devient difficile...mais on vous dira que cette seulement cette année !!!

Its a British favourite destination. Didn't know that before, no ads mention that. If you want a more local experience this is not the place. The food and everything is catered for the british. The food is a bit on the oily side and the selection at noon is a bit limited abd the bufet in the morning is the same every time, english breakfast, but the one in the evening is changing and it's a lottery what you get, you could love the food one day and have it the next, also for 5 stars i was expecting more selection ar the bufet. The room could be more up to 5 stars that are claimed.

Os empregados são mal educados! Mts serviços são só para mais de 16! O que é um pouco chato para quem queria fazer esses serviços e tem menos de 16 anos! Alguns apartamentos estão mal limpos e em mau estado! Pelo menos no qual em que eu fiquei foi isso que aconteceu! Não é mau de todo mas á melhores

Muita falta de organização! Pessoas de fora vão para a piscina do hotel e ninguém faz nada, o Sr da manutenção da piscina nunca está por perto. Não há vigilante na piscina na qual e uma piscina enorme e com dois escorregas e nao tem ninguém a tomar conta! O local e espetacular e o hotel tem muito potencial mas e preciso alguém que o saiba gerir e que saiba quem tem lá como funcionarios

Been coming here for many years. The resort is now jaded and in need of sympathetic uplift. Only Marguarida left of original reception team indicative of high staff turnover. Management issue repeat statements of phased approach to modernisation but not much evidence and little evidence of management on site. Seem to be more occupied publishing generic replies on TripAdvisor. Can't spoil the beautiful view however

Nous sommes encore à l’hotel Et rien à dire. Nous passons un très bon sejour, l’hotel Est très propre, appartement spacieux, les repas excellents et variés, super PDJ. La piscine magnifique et bien entretenue avec une vue superbe sur l’ocean. Le point fort de l’hôtel est le personnel. De la réception, les serveurs, le service nettoyage, tous a l’écoute, serviable et d’une gentillesse incroyable. À la réception, Fernandas, gentille, prête à aider pour les escursions et moins chère qu’à l’extérieur.
Le point faible : la literie. A part tout est au top. Superbe piscine intérieur. Les enfants s’eclatent. Hôtel bien situé près de la rue très connue Strip. Réservez les yeux fermés.

Ni hotel ni 5 estrellas.
La página web (solo en inglés, ni siquiera en portugués) lo anuncia como hotel de 5 estrellas, pero no parece ni una cosa ni la otra. En realidad se trata de una urbanización de apartamentos con servicios adicionales.
Destaca la piscina, grande y con un pequeño tobogán y trampolín.
Interesante su acceso casi directo a la playa.
Personal atento.
Por lo demás, valoración negativa para un supuesto 5 estrellas y para lo que pagas. Otra cosa sería si el precio fuera como el de un 3 estrellas.
Pondremos solo algunos ejemplos:
La habitación (en nuestro caso vip suite) con una superficie apenas un poco más de la mitad de lo que aparece en la web. Acceso difícil, que culmina con dos pisos de escaleras, sin ascensor. Insólito, escandaloso e incluso probablemte ilegal horario de entrada y salida: 17 horas check in y 10 horas checkout, de los que solo tienes noticia después de haber pagado y ya estás en el hotel.
Desayuno muy justito. Zumos artificiales. Dos panes. Bollería solo cruasán y otra cosa parecida.
El "room servicie" consiste en ir a la recepción a recoger la comida, de una pizzería cercana, cara y de escasa calidad. No hay bebidas.
Acceso a la piscina complicado: exterior, interior, ascensor, pasillo, exterior, rampa, escaleras ...
Tumbonas y sombrillas atadas, lo que impide que puedas acomodarlas en función del movimiento del sol. Sin servicio de camareros.
En fin, suma y sigue Todavía estamos alojados, por lo que quizá ampliemos información.
En definitiva, como viajeros muy habituales y con conocimiento de causa, podemos afirmar sin temor a equivocarnos que le sobra una o incluso dos estrellas.

Stort hotell som börjar vara slitet däremot Stora rymliga rum och bra städning. Sängarna i behov av byte. Mycket fint poolområde och god frukost. Rooms are old and need to be refurbished and the way to the pool is full of cobwebs and potholes.
The pool is ok but is full of people that dont stay in the apartments. There are groups of teenagers that spend the afternoons there playing football on the grass, just beside a sign that says "forbidden to play football here". They even removed the sign when it was on its way. We had a deluxe apartment with a terrace looking over the pool and you can imagine how noisy and annoying that was.
Don't go there expecting more then 3 stars. That's the service they offer, at an overrated 5 stars price.

По приезду поселили на минус третий этаж,на мою просьбу поменять номер или дать носильщика,я не могу сам нести тяжелые чемоданы,из-за за спортивных травм коленей,получили отказ,носильщиков нет,номеров нет.Ха ха три раза,отель полупустой,а чемоданы после 15 минут разбирательств отнес менеджер в костюме и галстуке,стоявший за стойкой.
Заселившись в этот 5-ти звездный отель,обнаружилось отсутствие тапочек,халатов,даже маленькой бутылочки воды,минимальный набор косметики.но.........
Проснувшись поутру и спустившись после завтрака к морю,я понял что пошли они все на......
Там такая красота,просто чудо.
Кстати номер оборудован кухне,со стиральной машинкой,посудомойкой,духовкой,холодильником,состоит из спальни,зала прихожей,кухни,огромного участка с выходом из все комнат,с лужайкой,шезлонгами и лежаками.Да ремонт и материалы очень хорошего качества,был когда то,сейчас чувство что все менного запущено,ну и организация процесса не понравилась.
Вывод-для семьи с деньми или влюбленной парочки любящей готовить,самое то.Мне по нраву только местоположение и природа окружающая.

Después de haber estado en hotel hace casi 15 años, estuvimos con amigos con niños. En recepción excelente, teniamos reserva dos habitaciones arriba y pedimos si podriamos cambiar junto piscina. Ninguna pega pudimos ver las que teniamos y pediamos y al final nos quedamos con las últimas. El hotel ha ganado una estrella, son cinco, ha reformado habitaciones con lo cual ha ganado mas. Proximidad a playa y senderismo costa y con spa y piscina interior. En general buen hotel siempre teniendo en cuenta que por los que hemos tratado hay que quitar una estrella con respecto a los de España. Sin embargo calidad/precio muy buena.

Too bad. Most of all the lack of higiene, doors smaller than the door frame that won’t close when you leave the apartment, the water was failing all the time and yellowish sometimes. The dirt in the halls, the poor, oldfashioned and dark interior pool, Etc, etc.
For Portuguese standards, this is a 2+ hotel. Not close to a 4 stars.
Hope this critic will improve your whole (enormous) place. But you’ll never see me again.
For everyone in doubt: don’t go. For real. Not for this price.

Booked this through On the Beech, there is no ways this is a 5* more like 3*, run down and dated. . We booked half board (breakfast and dinner) only to be told when we were checking in that they do not serve dinner at this hotel, never heard of that ever before. Rooms only cleaned every second day. Shower head did not stand up on its own. The 'blankets' on the beds were more like thick towels. You have to pay for your beach towel Euro10 and then a deposit as well. Only nice thing was the pool area but be warned the sunbeds are tied down so you cant move them with the sun!

The rooms are very spacious and clean. There is a tv in the living room & the kitchen had everything you need. The shower was ok, not the strongest and the temperature varied. Nice balcony & small clothes line to dry clothes. The beds were uncomfortable but had extra pillows and blankets which was nice. As the rooms are very big and so are the corridors, noise travels a bit and can be noisey at night. The outdoor pool is very cold & needed cleaned. There was slides so would be good for kids although the water is relatively deep in areas. Nice path straight through to the beach and restaurants.The spa area was nice but you have to pay to use the gym. The gym is good but the C2 rowing machine was broken & old. The spa facilities are good.There is a nice shop to get food, drink & holiday items.

Do yourself a favour and book somewhere else. Didn’t have clean running water for our entire stay so couldn’t shower in our own room, weren’t allowed to change rooms. Apparently there are no double beds in the place so awful for couples. Room was dirty, bedsheets and bath were dirty, dishes were dirty, dishwater didn’t have any tablets. On our last night we’d ran out of water and as the vending machine was broken went down to reception to try and retrieve some, were told there was absolutely none in the building and we’d have to walk up to the strip to a bar. To get WATER. Didn’t feel comfortable or particularly cared for our entire stay. Considering the price of the place and its rating we expected far, far more and frankly this place did not deliver at all. Would never go back.

A little tired, the property not me! It really needs some updating. Bathrooms and kitchen especially. Parking lot needs repair and new asphalt. Pool benches are old and some don't have tops that move. They are tied down so you cannot follow the sun. Also, they have a billion signs that pool chairs cannot be reserved, but at 9 AM when the pool opens there is a 90 person scrum trying to get the best chair. The put down their towels and go get coffee!

The Oura beach club ticked all our boxes: 2 bed apartment, resort with pool and near a beach. The apartment was huge with great sea views but the decor was tired, showers in need of repair, bed and sofa uncomfortable. The kitchen was missing quite a few utensils (ie only 3 bowls, no colander for draining pasta) and the oven too small to make pizza. It was mostly quite despite its proximity to the stip but we were disturbed by noise from a club on a couple of nights and could hear everything from the apartment above. One night the gentleman in the apartment above mistook what floor her was on and was able to gain access to our apartment with his key fob, which caused us quite a lot of alarm. (ESP as we were watching the McCann documentary at the time!) The night porter didn’t speak enough English to be able to tell us how that happened or what the hotel were doing about it. However the reception staff on another evening were very helpful when I needed to see an emergency dentist. The pool area was great but 2 of the 3 pools were too deep for our 6 year olds and as there is no life guard so you have to have your wits about you, as bigger kids think nothing of diving in despite signs saying not too.Over all the hotel is good but not up to the 5 star standard as advertised. They are doing some refurb Which should bring everything up to a high standard.

The hotel needs updating. It is not obvious where to drive into for check in. The front lane way is full of potholes and needs to be replaced. Parking area is dirty and disorganized. Does not leave a good first impression. Lobby is clean and well appointed. Room we stayed in was an ocean front deluxe studio. It was clean, spacious and serviced daily even though they said it would only be serviced every other day. Bed was way too firm. Shower was poor. Need to install a curved rod and a shower curtain that actually stops water from soaking the floor each time. Pool area was nice and spacious. Not a problem getting a lounge chair as long as you’re there by 11AM. It gets very crowded in the afternoon, but that’s no different than most resorts. Our main disappointment was the area behind the property which is called the strip. If you’re in your late teens and looking to party hard every night , you’ll love the strip. But depending on where your room is in this property you might hear the party all night long (literally till sunrise). In our first room at the front of the hotel the noise was not an issue. Then we had to move to the back due to space limitations and the experience was completely different. Overall, the property is a good 3 star property, but unfortunately priced well above a 3-star property.

une porte métallique qui heurte l'encadrement métallique à chaque ouverture ça donne un bruit métallique que tout l'immeuble entend (vu que c'est la porte d'entrée de l'immeuble ! ) sauf apparemment la réception ... qui mettra 3 jours pour la bloquer.
Pas d'ordinateur avec internet et pas d'imprimante non plus dans le hall : pour confirmer votre billet d'avion la réception vous conseille d'utiliser votre portable ou de trouver un cyber café !!!

This property is not by any means 5 stars hotel. Its an old, updated smelly property. The pool, pool area are very nice but you only have the chairs, not towels. The beach is beautiful but thats it. There is not beach service or towels or anything. if you want a chair is a 7.50 euros per person.Thanks to Margarhida in the front desk for all the help in changing my room. Really nice person.

Needs a total refurb to be classed as 5*. Reception area is nice as is the pool areas. Once you get into the lift it all goes down hill. Scruffy, rooms are spacious but cracked tiles in bathroom, shower head not working, run out of hot water in shower, terrace scruffy and uninviting to sit out as looking at a brick wall. I could go on..... would not recommend as 5*, more suited to young groups.

The hotel is definitely not 5 star. Although the staff are really nice there are issues. For one the food we were expecting half board would be evening meal but in this hotel it was lunch. This was a la carte and the menu boring for ten days. The sun beds at the pool were drilled into the ground so you couldn't move them, there were times in the day without shade, miserable. Also they were so close together you were literally rubbing cheeks with your neighbour access to the beach was good, and the beach was lovely.

Hotel staff were always polite & professional, and also helped with booking excursions everywhere (which was also cheaper & easier than booking in town too). Hotel room was huge, but the bathroom while adequate wasn't great (very basic shower in a very basic bath).
Location was fantastic, right on the beach overlooking the sea although not all rooms can see this.
In town was a bit rough and ready, constantly avoiding someone trying to get you into their bar/cafe for an all English and most of it was actually expensive eating out comparitively but there were still enough stand out & reasonable restaurants. At night it's music and cheap shots everywhere but you can venture out further for something different, or try 1 of the nicer restaurants overlooking the beach.
Overall it was a great hotel with great swimming pools, amazing breakfasts and helpful and polite staff.

Hotel advertised as 5* but not the case. Location was good if you like bars & clubs. Apartment was nice, pool also, but the hotel was in need of an update, housekeeping every other day, charges to use gym & pool towels. Restaurant quite a distance from hotel, accessed through a dark dingy corridor underneath rooms, this was the only place to get a drink/coffee as bar didnt open until 4pm or go to outside bars.

My second visit to this hotel, and the improvements in the 4 years are amazing!
The rooms are clean, well laid out and the added extras were a real bonus (No need to buy washing liquid! No panic when we had forgotten a few bathroom essentials)
The staff are pleasant to deal with from reception to cleaning staff.
We didn't eat there so cannot comment on their restaurant.

Este hotel fica apenas a 50 metros de uma das principais ruas animadas na noite em Albufeira, onde encontramos bares, restaurantes e lojas. Tem restaurantes bons na área como o Cepa Velha e o Zé do Peixe Assado. A praia da Oura fica apenas a 100 metros do hotel, uma das praias mais famosas de Albufeira. Podemos ir a pé até ao centro histórico de Albufeira. O hotel tem uma excelente vista sobre o mar. Tem local grátis para estacionar.

Very nice location, beautiful beach but hotel is very outdated and seen better days. It says 5* but it's more like 3. Maybe it's got 5* for location and facilities but rooms are not great, beds are very small and nor very comfortable, definitely it's not worth £80 per night for a self catering apartment. Indoor swimming pool is closed on Sunday and you have to pay £15 to rent a beach towel plus £5 deposit. Very disappointed. If not for the view from the balcony, which is gorgeous, our impression of the place would be poor.

A nice place with comfy apartments. We booked a double room but were given a twin room. It was all sorted the second day so ok there then.
No tea towels to dry those things that do not go in the dishwasher or hand towels for the kitchen. If you want to care for yourself rather than eat out the utensils provided are a little sparse.
A reasonable grocery pack for the first night.
There are a lot of reasonable restaurants and bars a short walk away so easy to eat out.

Das Hotel ist alt, verdient nicht mal 3 Sterne. Es ist ungepflegt, dreckig, abgewohnt und die Rezeption ist stillos eingerichtet. Das Personal ist nicht herzlich, ganz sparsam sachlich. Das Frühstück ist auch 3*-wert. Das gute war der kostenlose Parkplatz und die Aussicht, diese reichen aber nicht aus. Wenn man keine Erwartungen hat, dann könnte es gehen. Die meisten Urlauber, die 5 Sterne lesen, erwarten auch mind. 4 Sterne Qualität. Diese sind nirgendwo zu finden.

Bien vérifier si votre chambre à vue sur mer.!! Nous avions réservé un peu en dernière minute, et nous avions une chambre avec terrrasse "supérieure", mais quelle déception pour moi! Même en étant au 6 ème étage, la vue sur mer était très lointaine, de plus barréee par les énormes murs d'une construction et par un brise -bise bleu roy très laid. La chambre était grande avec un beau coin cuisine et une "immense terrasse, mais côté rue. Nous avons donc demandé à changer et comme il n'y avait pas d'autre possibilité , on nous a attribué une petite chambre , une des seules de l'hôtel:" sans balcon", mais avec quand même belle vue frontale sur la mer. Nous avons donc choisie celle -ci. Autre déception, le matériel culinaire était quasiment inexistant, juste un four et une plaque électrique dont la hotte ne marchait pas! .Pas de poele, ni de micro onde pour réchauffer. Pas de casserole, mais une bouilloire pour le café. . Si je prends un appartement , c'est pouvoir y faire un minimum de cuisine. A part cela, la chambre était propre, la literie confortable. Pour un budget supérieur au notre qui pourrait prendre une grande chambre en front de mer, je pense que l'on peut recommander cet hôtel pour sa situation, sa belle piscine. Nous ne l'avons pas utilisé car trop froide en cette saison, ni celle intérieure. Ne pas oublier d'apporter de bonnets de bains ou les acheter sur place! pour utiliser celle -ci.

We were at this hotel last April 6-13 celebrated our wedding anniversary. I can highly recommend this hotel if you want quiet and relaxing holiday. It's clean and and room is good size with balcony overlooking the sea. The staff at the reception are very helpful and accommodating. Unfortunate for us it was a week of rain.

Breakfast was quite poor and the hotel could really do with a makeover, looked very tired. It does have a nice view from the hotel room and the apartment was big. Bedroom was adjacent to the corridor which made for a noisy morning.

The hotel has a new impressive entrance lobby ... apartments have been partly updated too and are spacious and comfortable. Our biggest complaint: We had carefully booked last November - apartments with a sea view - taking the trouble even to phone the hotel to make sure adjacent seaview apartments were available ... near the lift at the end that overlooks the car park but allows an uninterrupted view down to the sea ... the ones assigned to us were on the ground floor. My frail 88 year old mother in law was not impressed ... she had been promised a sea view. Not what we needed after an 8 hour flight delay. We did get slight improvement to first floor flats with marginally improved aspects but these were non adjacent. Honouring booking arrangements would be more impressive than marbled and gilded lobbies. Promises to look into the situation did not materialise.

Tired old shell of its former self. Been coming here since a child and only change is the questionable makeover of the reception area. Room and bathroom is exactly the same as when I came here over 25 years ago only now showing the 25 years of use. Cracked tiles and faded paint. Steam room is very tired and I'd say a little dangerous. Felt sorry for entertainers as barely 10 people watching most nights some only 4. Says 5 star on front but no way near.

Excelente localização, com excelentes infraestruturas. Hotel com problemas de manutenção eléctrica pois o ar condicionado do quarto não funcionava e não foi reparado nos 5 dias de estadia e as tomadas eléctrica saiam da parede. Hotel com muitos trabalhadores estrangeiros pouco simpáticos.
O Hotel não merece as 5 estrelas... Nem 4...
Em resumo vale pela localização TOP TOP TOP.

The staff are very friendly and certainly make you feel welcome. We had a one bedroom apartment which was good value for money. The breakfast was varied and there was plenty of it. However this is not a 5 star hotel. the rooms are comfortable but the double bed was 2 singles pushed together with no quilt big enough. The 2 quilts used did not have covers, just a sheet. We had a sea view, but being on the first floor, it was restricted. We would go again, out of season.

Fabulous holiday last week and really enjoyed staying at this resort. The hotel overlooks the beach. Sea/pool view booked turned out to be only partial sea view from 1st floor apartment. It is a quieter hotel although adjacent to the renowned buzz of the Strip.

We only booked this hotel as it was 5star and we were very very disappointed it is not a 5 star hotel at all.... maybe a 3. So many issues with this hotels facility's I cannot list them all, we went all inclusive to make our holiday easy but to discover the all inclusive stopped at 10.30pm on drinks. We had to eat out everyday due to no variety on the menu. And not once did we have a good night sleep due to street noise and very uncomfortable cheep beds, the sea view room was not the sea it was a back street garage.

Lovely location. Nice hotel. Our room was clean but starting to look dated. Very nice facilities. Great balcony and view. Only 1 sunbed on balcony table, parasol, and 4 chairs though. Had the sun on it all day (3rd floor) great pool area overlooking the beach, and sea views amazing. Very nice fairly clean. The 3 stars are only for the standard of the hotel, 4/5 stars for location and staff.

Rooms bland bed lumpy, pillows hard lumpy, shower area dirty black mouldy, shower no control had to jump out a few times as water went very hot not good for kids or elderly be aware please. Got moved to a better room very spacious but same issue with shower/bathroom area. The rooms we had look nothing like the pictures I guess those rooms must be for club members if you attend a 1 hour grilling you can become a member no thanks !! Sorry wont be back here not worth what I paid just feel disappointed and ripped off.

Hotel viellisant, surtout la salle de bain qui mérite dêtre entièrement refaite. Très bonne situation face à la piscine et à la mer. Buffet petit déjeuner très correct, à part le jus dorange qui nest pas bon. Piscine très jolie et fonctionnelle mais viellissante.Laccès au SPA payant nest absolument pas contrôlé. Nous avons regretté davoir payé et avont pu constater que beauciup lutilise sans payer. Décevant !

Close to beach/strip and about 20 minute walk to old town or free shuttle available. Reception staff exceptional and very polite. bar was easy listening live music which was very nice in contrast to the strip which can be quite loud at times. The pool is probably best I have came across.

As instalações são antigas e a precisar de renovações. Sem cortinas anti-calor e a deixar entrar demasiada claridade o que impede um sono reparador. A limpeza é pouco eficiente.

Na realidade é um local vergonhoso, não é de 5 estrelas em nenhuma parte do mundo. Há baratas por todos os lados, os quartos são uma vergonha, nada funciona, as cortinas têm buracos, a limpeza é vergonhosa, o staff mal preparado, sem qualificações e quando se pede para falar com o director deste local, dizem-me que tenho de falar inglês, porque o Sr. não fala português. O Bar da piscina, não tem águas, pão de hambúrguer e a partir de 17h. deixa de servir uma simples sandes. O estacionamento é péssimo, diminuto, o que implica ter de deixar o carro na rua muitas vezes. Em suma não aconselho a ninguém, e questiono- me como é possível este local estar classificado como de 5 estrelas, pergunta que já fiz as entidades competentes.

Spent 3 night/4 days in this hotel. Their was a large group of us and every single one of us loved the resort. Large bedrooms, large pool, and plenty of drinking areas. The staff were very open and friendly and came to the aid of my friend who had a freak accident after slipping in the pool.
I can not thank this hotel enough for accommodating our large group and making our weekend very memorable. Only criticism is it could do with updating in the looks department. Overall 4.5*

It's very good for what it is, but I had to carry all our luggage up a couple of flights of stairs, one of the AC remotes is still missing, the double bed is two singles pushed together, some of the cutlery hasn't been properly cleaned, we all have to wear a wrist band that can't be removed (so you wash and sleep with it on), the safe has to be rented at a daily rate (seriously?), and other little niggles that prevent me from giving it 5 stars.

What was one of the nicest complexes in the area was transformed by the new owner and not in the best of ways. An entrance completely out of context, that must be a copy of the entrance of an upscale bordello in Mumbai or New Delhi; the apartments lack maintenance, there are two many cracks on the walls that should be fixed, walls that need paint. In the year 2017, a less than decent WiFi is unacceptable mainly after advertising that it's available all over. To use the room safe you have to purchase a password at the front desk; I wonder if they accept Euros or you have to have rupees...

É sossegado, em Junho tem estacionamento automóvel. Tem equipamentos para práticas desportivas, natação, piscinas exteriores e interiores. Tem ginásio. Sauna. Banho turco. Gabinetes massagem. Gabinetes de relax. Jacuzzi, muitas vezes avariado. Apartamentos T1 oi T2. Restaurantes. É mesmo sobre a praia. Esplêndida vista sobre o mar. Este ano fiquei num apartamento remodelado, com mobília insuficiente e o WC sem banheira.... esta parte não é do meu agrado. Cheguei sábado, hoje é terça e o AC do quarto continua avariado.
No sábado seguinte, isto é 7 dias depois de ter comunicado a avaria do AC (ar condicionado) este ainda não tinha sido reparado. Aqui leva má nota.

Das Hotelzimmer wurde selten gründlich gereinigt. Die Spülmaschine war alt und muffig. Die Spülmaschinentabs mussten extra bezahlt werden. Der Herr an der Rezeption war wenig hilfreich und nicht bereit gegen Aufpreis ein Zimmer mitMeerblick zur Verfügung zu stellen. Das Frühstücksbuffet war einfallslos und teilweise waren die Croissants hart, da diesevom Vortag waren. Das Hotel hat seine besten Jahre hinter sich.

Hotel insalubre ne correspond pas du tout au photo du site internet. Leur spa est vraiment trés sale est trés vieux. La chambre n'est pas nettoyer tout les jours...Des traces de moisissures dans la chambre ainsi que dans la Salle de bain.Attention cet hotel n'est pas du tout un 5 étoiles francaises.Ne vous faites pas avoir. On est passé par vente-privée pour ce voyage, on ne refera plus jamais cet erreur. Je ne comprend pas pourquoi une grande enseigne comme vente-privée ne verifie pas ce qu'il propose. Seul points positifs la proximité de l'hotel du centre ainsi que la gentillesse du personnel...

Review based on a visit in April - results may differ at busier periods. Also note that the hotel was undergoing some renovation when we arrived.
Location is excellent - 40 minute transfer to Faro airport, the hotel is a minute from the beach (great views) and 5 minutes from "the Strip."
Spacious, very large and clean rooms. We had a two-bedroom "apartment" that had two full bathrooms, a large living room (including a small kitchen area) and a narrow but long balcony. Lots of storage on the corridor between bedrooms for suitcases.
We didn't eat or drink much in the hotel, but their poolside café was reasonably priced and the bar food was fine.
Pool area was clean and not crowded, no problem getting a sun lounger (I'd expect it to be harder in high season!)
Was disappointed that access to the gym/leisure centre wasn't included in the price - normal practice is guests can go free, surely? Had to pay something like €6/day per person for access to the leisure centre. Gyms aren't my thing - I only wanted to use the treadmill - so I can't say how well equipped the place was, but it was full of apparatus and a bit cramped, with no AC, just a couple of fans pushing the warm air around.
Definitely recommended for a cheap off-season stay.

Leider wurde nirgends auf den Zustand des Hotels hingewiesen.Mag sen, daß meine Meinung sich für Hotel und Vermittler nicht besonders gut liest, aber für das Gebotene kann ich auch bei sehr wohlwollender Betrachtung keine positivere Beurteilung abgeben.Wenn Ihnen meine Beurteilung nicht gefällt entspricht sie doch der Wahrheit. Close to the beach, the food is 5 stars, the pool area lovely. The staff is very friendly and working hard to please everyone. Rooms cleaned daily. Tony D is a great entertainer, loved his night!

Lhôtel est bien situé, proche de la plage, proche du centre et de la vieille ville.Le personnel est à lécoute et discret.Les appartements sont spacieux et fonctionnels mais un peu tristounets.Lendroit est calme.Nous avons été un peu déçus lors de notre arrivée car pour atteindre notre appartement il fallait traverser de longs couloirs tout blancs et vides qui nous rappelaient ceux dun hôpital.. et la vue quoffrait lappartement nétait pas vraiment celle à laquelle on sattendait, mais nous avons quand même passé un très bon séjour. Nous avions le petit déjeuner compris mais nous déjeunions souvent à lextérieur car nous nous naimions pas ce quil proposait (mais ça cest une affaire de goût..)Bon rapport qualité/prix.

Very good atmosphere. I have come here with my wife in September and the weather is still very hot. Great for couples and families. Safe in the room activated by reception so do it before you go to your room. Need to pay extra for this. Breakfast is great. English and European. Nice pool area and bar. Great location the hotel is on the beach where you will find restaurants to get some lunch or dinner. Also next to the strip with bars and restaurants 7 min walk away. Recommend to all and will be back with the kids

accommodation good but no good just upgrading a few apartments when the whole complex needs a face-lift why do they think we need football 24/7 on big screens
reinstate the bowling green there are enough bars for the people who want to get off their faces

Sehr altes und heruntergekommenes Hotel. Fotos entsprechen nicht der Realität. Gesamte Anlage alt und abgelebt, kaputte Fliesen, Flecken überall. 2-3 Sterne Bewertung wäre gerechtfertigt. Frühstück war den Preis nicht wert.

El hotel, estaba muy sucio y muy viejo, tenía mucho moho en los baños, mugre polvo y telarañas, todo el mobiliario era viejo y deteriorado no funcionaba el aire acondicionado y tampoco el sacador, muy decepcionante, por que te ponen fotos muy bonitas y habitaciones preciosas y luego no es así, me siento muy engañado, hotel 4 estrellas que parece un hostal de mala muerte.

What a wurthless all inclusive formule! Never again. Mr Muthu talks about "hard work, truth, integrity and character" well mister Muthu the truth is I work hard for this holiday with my family and sleeping on a bed that look like a bed thats teared down and almost 20 years old is disgusting! You send your guest away to eat somewhere else just for renting out the restaurant for a wedding..that shows a lot of character. We payed for this and rating left overs in your other hotel where nobody of your employees knew we were coming!! Shame on you Mr Muthu MGM!!! It would show character if you respond in reall honesty without a standard answer! Regards

The apartments with one bedroom are really big and therefore comfortable for families with kids. Kitchen good equipped with dish washer, but only 5 plates in the cupboard.W-lan for one week is 25€ for only one device, you have to pay if you want to use the room safe, what is inappropriate.Ideal is the good access to the wonderful beach. Outdoor pool pretty cold on Eastern, indoor pool nice temperature.Small supermarket in site and in 3 minutes you are on the strip with lot of bars, restaurant and night life.

Regular. Había arañas en mi apartamento por castigo, por no decir las telarañas y humedades que había. Estuve de jueves a domingo y me encontré 10 arañas como mínimo. Abrí el cajón de la cocina y salió una corriendo..
