Sehr leckeres Essen, zuvorkommendes und freundliches Personal, sicherlich nicht das günstigste Restaurant vor Ort, aber das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis passt können das Restaurant uneingeschränkt weiter empfehlen.

Very nice food with fast service but not the friendliest of waiting staff. Despite the children being offered smaller portions of the adult menu I didn't feel they were very welcome, which was a shame as they enjoyed the food. Slightly on the expensive side over all.

The first time I have been charged any amount for asking for tap water, let alone 3 euros for each filled bottle!!! In future please inform the customer of this high charge. Cannelloni was very bland, the carbonara tasty and the waiter very friendly.

We had to wait for a table for a second and got free welcome drinks, you don’t see that often anymore. The food was great likewise the service. And not expensive at all!

Das Essen war gut. Beim zweiten Besuch war die Bedienung nicht so nett und man hat sich nicht von uns verabschiedet, so wie beim ersten Mal. Die Preise sind heftig. Der Primitivo als Hauswein sehr gut.

10 out of 10 for this gem of a restaurant in Carvoeiro. The staff are wonderful, charming and competent in several languages. The service is speedy and the restaurant is open all day, all year round making it a very reliable option. Most importantly the food is excellent, we went as a family of four, ordered 4 different starters and four different mains and we all agreed that every dish was great. If your looking for Italian food in the area this is absolutely your best bet. I'll certainly be back again next year!

Awful service, as if you don't book you then get to watch the waiting staff argue over which table they are going to sit you on. Yes I can speak Portuguese so I knew what you were saying. God forbid you ask for butter as apparently the management have banned anyone from having butter. The food was ok, but I have had much better more authentic Italian in many other locations around the world. All in all its all fluff and no substance.

We entered the restaurant after what was a high recommendation of our host in Algarve. The ambiance and accouterments are superb (interior, flooring, tables and chairs, bathrooms), the service was horrid. This is probably an issue with the one cantankerous waiter we were forced to endure. The food was marginal (Salmon pasta) and lacked the aroma of herbs and the taste of any seasoning. The pizza is graded C-, and is plainly generic (Margherita). We had two small children (ages 4 and 2) and it appeared the waiter misunderstood their mouth and hand sizes as he didn’t offer smaller silverware. Nor did he ever check on us during the meal. Apologies for being long winded but I would recommend Piccolino in Armação De Pêra before this overhyped establishment.

It was perfect and beyond all of our expectations! The place is beautiful, with much love to every detail. Everything looked super expensive, but the food actually was very affordable! There was a very cozy atmosphere and the staff was very welcoming and friendly :) The bathroom looks amazing and is so clean!! We had a perfect evening in this restaurant - we will definitely come here again!

Espectacular. La mejor lasaña que hemos probado. Los camareros fueron muy amables y de precio está muy bien para la calidad y cantidad , 15 euros por persona. De postre recomiendo el tiramisú. Hablan español.

Ein sehr elegantes Restaurant. Der Service war sehr professionell und konnte mit diversen Sprachkenntnissen trumpfen. Die Speisekarte barg eine Vielfalt an Leckereien aus der italienischen Küche. Alles hausgemacht, vor allem bei den Pastagerichten konnte man deutlich den Unterschied zu den industriellen Erzeugnissen rausschmecken. Sehr sehr lecker!

Place was v.nice, service was good. My mum loved her dish here but my vegetarian pasta dish was really quite awful; it wasn’t that it tasted bad, rather it didn’t taste of anything. Boiled vegetables on top of boiled pasta with big garlic chunks. Never tasted such dish at an Italian restaurant and the Portuguese are known for boiling their veg. It was almost student style, (sorry!). That dish really let them down. 3 stars as my mum liked hers. Wine is super expensive though when considering you are in Portugal. Glass of house wine 5 euros.

Mimo że restauracja znajduje się w Portugalii to podają tutaj wyśmienite dania kuchni Włoskiej. Fantastyczna obsługa i urokliwe miejsce. Polecam naprawdę warto!!!

Dieses Restaurant am östlichen Ende von Carvoeiro ist immer voll - und immer lecker! Rervierung ist dringend geboten, wenn man in dem schön angelegten Terrassenbereich hinter dem Haus mit dem wunderbar blank geschliffenen Calcadaboden sitzen möchte. Pizza und Nudeln sind uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert. Die Gambas in Knoblauch als Vorspeise waren vorzüglich. Der trockene weiße Port-Wein als Apperitiv war wunderbar und großzügig bemessen. Ok, billig ist es hier nicht. Aber die Leistung und das Ambiente überzeugen. Personal ist selbst im großen Trubel stets freundlich und aufmerksam.

We had a fantastic meal here on our holiday, the pasta was probably the best I've had outside of Italy. The decor and staff are also top notch, well done Villa Medici we'll be back!

Expensive but worth it
I have eaten here twice over the last 2 years and both times I was not disappointed.
Classy restaurant with top class service I could not fault a thing.
Try the tiramisu you wont regret it!

Sitting in this beautiful restaurant now with my family, absolutely beautiful real Italian food, ambiance is so lovely and the staff and waiter is just so nice, wish I had found it earlier on my holiday. Thank you for authentic Italian food.

High end restaurant with with prices to match. Service good. We didn't book and you probably need to add they put us in a room of the garden outside of the main restaurant. Not quiet the experience we were looking for. Lacked atmosphere and the bill didn't cheer me up either! Not a local experience.

Leider auch 2 Minuspunkte, der Chianti Classico auf der Karte war ein einfacher Chianti, die Spaghetti habe ich zusammen mit dem Fleisch bekommen. Hier kennt man Primi und Secondi nicht, sollte man aber wenn man Edelitaliener sein möchte.

Villa Medici is a lovely Italian restaurant in Carvoeiro that has a great atmosphere and helpful, enthusiastic wait staff.
Eating as a family of 5 we were seated just through the entrance of the restaurant, which was slightly unfortunate as most of the traffic through the restaurant had to pass us, making it a busy location.
We didn't feel rushed, our waiter made time to talk us through the menu and addressed our questions, even though a queue formed as more customers were waiting to be seated.
Unfortunately the only thing letting this restaurant down was our mixed reviews on the food, which for the most part was lacking flavour, particularly the garlic which made up the majority of our dishes. The only exception was the carbonara, and the Luna (ham and mushroom) pizza - which were both great dishes.

Bom atendimento para os padrões portugueses. Carta de vinhos um pouco fraca por somente ter vinhos italianos, achei um ponto negativo pois existem muitos vinhos portugueses de alto nível. Comi o nero di sepia , estava longe de ser muito bom, mas minha namorada comeu uma massa com azeite de trufa que estava excelente.

It was our anniversary and my wife and I started at Primavera next door. We left after receiving slow service and a bad attitude with that service. Could we not have landed in a more opposite place. The restaurant is beautiful and the service was great. We were promptly seated and served. The pasta we got was the The Chefs pasta special with Veal..... incredible! The caprese was unbelievable as well! Got there, enjoy the ambiance and experience. They blow next door out of the water.

Acho lamentável esquecerem se de trazer as entradas e trazerem logo os pratos principais. Cobrarem por água do cano e pedir um linguini com carne de novilho e a carne ser tipo pastilha sem sabor sem sal e a massa alagada em azeite. Pizzas pequenas. Atendimento lento e demasiado caro para o que servem. Doses minimas. Não aconselho, preços e atendimento para turísta.

Wollten essen, trotz leerem lokal war es nicht möglich für 2 Personen einen größeren Tisch zu bekommen. Wollten uns einen dieser Mini Tische zuweisen. Ziemlich unflexibel und bei der Freundlichkeit ist noch Luft nach oben.

Sicher das beste Restaurant am Ort (Carvoeiro). Die Qualität, Freundlichkeit, Ambiente sind einzigartig !! Leider sind auch dementsprechend die Preise. Ab 15 Euro für eine normale Pizza ist grenzwertig. Trotzdem kommen wir gerne. Bedienung ist überwiegend deutschsprachig. Portugiesisch und English sind ebenfalls kein Problem. Wir kommen sehr gerne.......und würden auch öfters kommen, wenn die hohen Preise nicht wären.....

Used to be good. Now no more than average. They've changed the menu so watch out as you don't get what you expect. Must have changed the chef I think. Need to change again. Very disappointed regular clients. Won't be going again in a hurry.

Our favourite restaurant in the whole of Carveiro. Food is beautiful, service is excellent and it's a lovely setting too, particularly in the courtyard at the rear. Great for kids and one of the most luxurious baby change facilities we've seen (home or abroad)
