Hasta ahora el mejor pulpo que he comido ha sido en este restaurante. Exquisito! Local amplio y suele estar concurrido. Atención al cliente muy buena (la única pega que no admiten tarjeta de crédito española) e higiene muy buena. Buena materia prima en un sitio muy bonito!

El lugar es agradable, tienen una terraza interior en la que se está muy bien, pero en cuanto a la comida no es de buena calidad. Y su precio está desorbitado.

Really don’t bother going here! Had the worst meal ever - fish was dry and served in a dish swimming in oil with a few potatoes to accompany it!! Service was poor - the waiter really couldn’t be bothered and at the end of the meal he announced the card machine wasn’t working! Luckily we had enough cash to pay and then we scarpered as fast as our little legs would carry us!!!

This restaurant is a gem! Allow yourself lots of time to relax and truly enjoy the casual ambiance and excellent food. I do not write reviews usually, but looked for the 2 Brothers' website to try (unsuccessfully) to find their menu and attempt to copy a recipe.

Overpriced, overly seasoned food that tastes awful. We ordered chicken with mushrooms. My dish had fabric strands and hair in it . Staff aren't attentive and the waiter gave us a condescending look when the food was left untouched. The drinks are overpriced as well. Tourist trap.

Delicious fish soup, and fish dishes, fresh fish coocked as you want. Nice service with friendly atmosphere. Very good location, and recommend for Portuguese style menu. The restaurant is nicely decorated. Dessert and coffee available. We we're also offered delicious appetizers, fish, pork ham, bred with olive oil and vinegar...

É um restaurante para estrangeiros..... Temos batatas fritas, das congeladas. Temos cogumelos de lata, isto tudo nuns bifes com cogumelos. Para não falar no prato que pedi, barriga de atum, demoraram imenso tempo, estiveram a descongelar o peixe.

Really nice place with very tasty food. Probably one of the best meals I had in Portugal was from this restaurant. The service was fast and friendly. Plenty of seating available. Wheelchair friendly. Parking is available in a car park to the south.

Serviço muito lento. Esqueceram dos pedidos várias vezes. Tarefa quase impossível de chamar um funcionário. Mesmo tendo um bebé na mesa não havia qualquer tipo de consideração. Não voltarei lá.

Mis à part des serveurs agréables, ce restaurant est à fuire. C’est un attrape touriste.
Les plats sont sans saveurs, secs, grillés. Les produits de la mer sont surgelés. Dommage pour une ville portuaire. Le café a été rechaufé au micro-onde: la tasse était bouillante et le café tiède.
On s’en sort avec deux plats à la carte, une bouteille de vin et un café pour le prix d’une brasserie parisienne. Et surtout les papilles écœurées.

Très mauvais poulet très sec et brûlé 100 grammes de viande et 120 grammes de pomme allumettes froides soit disant servi avec frites et salade au moment de l addition vous payez un extra pour la salade c est se moquer des clients et en plus pour manger aussi mal vous attendez une demi heure passez votre chemin ces gens ne méritent pas de travailler.

No compliments can fully describe this restaurant. With a homely atmosphere with a shade of rustic and various kinds of old port wine standing on the shelves high above, with a whole rack of precious vintage alcohol in the hall, it is a paradise. The food is amazing. The staff is friendly. You never wanna leave. And then there is a private courtyard with green and calm atmosphere. Steak on the stone, sapateira, old port wine with yummy desserts... And much more that I didn't yet try. I felt every Euro spent there worth every bite taken.

Had excellent service and advice about our choices on the menu, I ordered grilled cuttlefish which was delicious. My husband choose the cuttlefish stew which was tasty but he would have liked a little more cuttlefish in it.

Pretty average. The curry cod was almost tasteless and I couldn't tell if I was eating fish or if it was just batata fritas (shredded, crispy fried potatoes) for most of the dish. That being said, the decor is really lovely and the lamb dish I had was really quite good. Good but not great. It isn't a meal I'd write home about.

Je n'y suis pas allé pour manger du bad fast food. J'ai eu raison car les plats à base de crustacés et de poissons sont bien présentés, pas trop relevés, copieux à souhait. Le personnel est très aimable. Quant au patron à qui j'ai demandé des desserts surprises, il m'a vraiment montré le Portugal. Muito obrigado

Efectivamente este restaurante no funciona bien. Nos hicieron esperar mas de hora y media para servir una ensalada. Y media hora mas para dos platos de pulpo, uno de bscalao y uno de lubina que para colmo estaba en malas condiciones. No vengais ni soñando.

Si mangerebbe anche bene, ma non mi è piaciuto il sistema che hanno sempre il pos che non funziona, e vogliono pagamento contanti, così non va bene, io ho avuto difficoltà perché non avevo abbastanza contanti, di solito uso le carte di pagamento; se hanno problemi, devono avvertire prima i clienti.

Pire expérience de tous les restaurants du Portugal. Si vous y allez, ne surtout pas prendre le hamburger végétarien qui n’est juste qu’un pâté congelé à la mie de pain. Les paellas sont beaucoup trop salées. Le service n’est pas bon du tout et c’est une arnaque au niveau du payement.

Avoid! The service staff was nice and friendly but that was of little value given that he forgot our starters and served rice instead of potatoes with the main dish. Food was average, salad was made with old tomatoes. Not particularly cheap. Really don't go.

We went this week..on the 22nd and was seated by the road.
We had bread and olives and watched the world go by.
I ordered roast chicken and the Mrs had fish.
Service was quick mostly....drinks arrived quick and were v good.
The fish was cooked perfect.....just lots of bones....but it was not a problem.
My chicken came and was in 2 pieces.
1st one was ok but the second I left as it was still very pink and undercooked.
I would have gave more stars but for that and the fact we asked for serviettes and didn't get any.

Comida congelada y de muy mala calidad. Pescado seco y la brocheta de calamares y gambas estaba quemada y súper seco e insípido. No volveré a este sitio ni para tomarme un vino. No aceptan tarjeta y no te lo dicen tampoco, como vayas sin efectivo te toca quedarte a fregar los platos.

No aceptan tarjetas, y nada te lo avisa. Nuestra cuenta rozaba los 30 euros, y nos preguntábamos si a la familia de 6 que había en sala les iban a cobrar en efectivo también.
Por lo demás, el personal es correcto y amable aunque nunca nos llegó la carta de postres así que pedimos la cuenta para irnos y no nos venían a cobrar. La comida es lo justo, nosotros pedimos pollo asado con patatas, y estaba un poco seco para nuestro gusto, pero sólo buscábamos alimentarnos para seguir viaje, así que bien.
El ambiente es familiar, la carta en varios idiomas, la decoración bien a lo taberna portuguesa tradicional y baños estaban limpios. Salimos conformes, pero no más.

Super good seafood, really nice octopus, definitly recommend the octopus dish, it is soooooo tender. Garlic prawn is also great. The staff are very friendly and helpful, I would definitely like to come back again! And the terrace is beautiful!!!

Food was overall mediocre (overcooked, no seasoning...) and overpriced compared to most places in Portugal.
In addition, oysters were not fresh and we had to send them back, everything was itemised and priced highly (almost 1€ per butter...).
In 2 words: avoid it!

Muy buen sitio para hacer una parada y degustar un buen plato de lomo a la portuguesa y una sopa de pescado regado con una buena sangría blanca, y nada caro.
Un lugar lleno de historia, muy bonito y acogedor inaugurado en 1925 conserva aún los salones y terrazas de esa época.
Me ha encantado este sitio. Solo cabe reseñar que NO ADMITEN PAGO CON TARJETA.

Wow! This was unfortunately a horrible experience. We came from a recommendation from the owner outside. The drinks took forever, there was only cutlery for 1... the drinks were sour, the cod fritters were frozen and the octopus salad had so little octopus in it, that it was more tomatoes.

The food is low and not cheap. Some people around us had sea food and fish, and we had normal dishes. The pizza is awful and the hamburger is not a hamburger, it is something different. The food is not cheap, for example for a pizza you pay around 9 eur, for a glass of porto wine is 6.5 eur, and the hamburger is 8 eur. Paella is for 2 and it is 32 eur, beer is ok. The fish is around 15 to 25 eur. Overall the chef could use some more training.

These guys speak english which was great for me XD they are very friendly polite, helpful as are most Portuguese, they are fantastic!
The food was brilliant! Really tasty and as is customary well server, I was so full! I had the octopus dish, which I have had a few times, it tasted really meaty but soft, not at all rubbery so thumbs up for that one.
I 100% recommend this restaurant, go for it guys. Obrigado!

Nice restaurant in the center of Faro.
They have options for vegetarians and vegans, including the menu of the day.
A mixed salad for starter and a home-made quinoa-potato burger with sweet potato on the side for main course.
Prices are average,similar to many places around.
They have a very nice outside seating on the street but it's a quiet street so not many cars are driving nearby.

A pleasant place, size of dishes was great.
Only one vegetarian option, so I won't recommend for a vegetarian to eat here.

I would not recommend this restaurant. The food was less than average and not cheap. All I can say is there are many better in the area, please avoid this one. My husband sent his stone cooked steak back along with the under cooked oven chips. I ate my cod but was very boney and all the veg was frozen, olives very bitter. This is the first review I have ever done - that’s how strongly I feel you should not go!!!!!!

Was in Faro for a conference and was in charge of one of the night outings. I reserved this place and it did not disappoint. On a group of 13 everyone ordered something different and they all seemed to enjoy it quite a lot. Everyone gave great compliments about the food and the location. Additionally, this was the only place in Faro were I managed to have an extremely good vegetarian food, and fulfilling. The service was also superb.

Mali sme kompletné menu za 12€ (predjedlo,hlavné jedlo, nápoj, dezert,káva). Vegetariánsky burger bol chutný a porcia pomerne veľká. Priateľ však mal morčacie mäso s ryžou podávané spolu zaliate šťavou v jednom hrnci, čo nebolo veľmi dobré ani to dobre nevyzeralo. Dezert aj predjedlo boli v pohode, nič špeciálne. Obsluhovala nás milá čašníčka a prekvapivo vedela po anglicky :D Ceny jednotlivých jedál sú vyššie, ale kompletné menu bolo výhodné.

Simply delicious. The meals were so full of flavour (lamb with roast potatoes / shrimp risotto) and very big portions too. This was followed by dessert which was just as tasty. Very reasonably priced, €45 for both meals, dessert, a white wine, coffee and a few beers!!! Will definitely return and 100% recommend

Locale storico nel centro di FARO, vicino al porticciolo, tipico ristorante portoghese con piatti tradizionali, aperto dagli anni '50, una garanzia di esperienza e professionalità. Really bad.. I went there with my 4 friends and all of our food was just not fresh. (frozen) When the food arrived It actually smelled bad and how they presented it on the plate was so unappetising that I got sick. #octopus

The food was not fresh and tasty. The soup super salty and fishy. The octopus looked disgusting, my friend didn't eat it and complained and they still charged us. It felt like a tourist trap, because we asked for bread and they brought a lot of extra things like fish salad that they charged us for, even for the BUTTER!

Nog nooit eerder weggelopen omdat het eten zo slecht is. Eens moet de eerste keer zijn; het begon met een mandje gortdroog brood, daarna volgde het hoofdgerecht. De lambstew was heel vet en gaf het idee dat je een hap uit een pot zout nam. De kabeljauw zou met een crunchy laagje komen, echter was dit laagje een blubber en erg zout. In de kabeljauw zelf zat een enorme graat en was gortdroog. Toen we dit probeerden te melden kregen we als reactie dat het wel vers was. Dat is prettig om te weten, maar heb je niks aan als het niet goed bereid wordt. Ondanks dat we meer dan de helft hebben laten liggen gewoon de volle pond moeten betalen. Ga hier niet eten, zonde van je geld!

Food was delicious, one of the best meals we had in Portugal. Service however was very hit and miss. I don’t expect waiters to always have a smile on their face, it is a hard job and worse yet with the heat. The guy who received us at the entrance, I think he was a bus boy was lovely, our waiter however was the most rude person I have ever met. Service overall even at the cashier when we were about to pay was ridiculous.

Accueil très chaleureux, le patron est vraiment sympathique ! La cuisine était bonne, pour des tarifs raisonnables ! Un moment agréable en terrasse, avec un service aux petits soins et la petite touche non négligeable, il parlait français donc idéal quand on ne parle pas le portugais. Je reviendrais sans hésiter !

Had dinner here in their outside garden with one young waiter who was very welcoming to us, and an old grumpy one who unfortunately served us. We ordered gazpacho, but to our unpleasant surprise saw that they added icecubes in it! The meat and fries were cold, for the salad we asked specifically to put no onions in it (but guess what..). Price much too high for what it was worth! Don't bother to visit this restaurant!

Deceptive and Overpriced. The place looked quite interesting so we went in for lunch. Menu looked fine. We ordered fish soup (not bad but overpriced for what's served) and vegetables soup which was typical. Ordered wild boar stew which was good, but more than we could eat, so asked to take the rest with us to eat in apartment later. The house wines we're good but overpriced. For 1 tiny piece of butter they charged 0.75 Euro and even had the gall to charge 0.90 EUR for small take out container. Furthermore they stated credit card system not working for past 2 days and that we needed to pay cash. This fact should have been stated in advance before ordering, as they clearly advertised fact they accept credit cards. We had little cash with us, just barely enough. Though our waiter was good at service, the guy at cash was quite rude when I expressed my displeasure.
Reading some other Google reviews, I see the credit card deception has been going on for some time.
Unfortunately this put a sour note on our short visit to Faro.

Tomamos lubina y dorada a la brasa y estaban muy buenas. Los precios del pescado los cobran por peso por lo que mejor que lo elijais del mostrador y que os digan el peso del mismo antes de pedirlo. Nosotros compartimos uno de medio kilo y pagamos 20 euros por él. El sitio es característico portugués pero un pelín caro si pides un pescado por cabeza comparado con otros.

Das Service und die Speisen waren leider nur durchschnittlich. Wir mussten lange auf das Essen warten, das dann auch noch dazu lauwarm war. This place really did earn its one star, the meal was OK, when the bread with olive oil was the most memorable part it says something . The service was terrible and slow and rude. Forcing us to pay with cash because their machine was down, they should have informed us of that when we sat down. The rudeness of the waiter when we said we only have cards was hard to explain. "talk to the boss." The CBW informed me that this happens all the time in Russia, when the restaurants are trying avoid paying taxes. This is the first time I have experienced this. Finding an ATM machine close to this restaurant was just icing on the cake. Also the CBW informed me that if I am in that situation again, that I can say take the card, or I am not paying and they will find a way to fix the machine. I can't say enough to say avoid this restaurant, I would rather eat at a fast food chain dumpster, then eat in this place again.

L’accueil à la terrasse était chaleureux, mais une fois à l’intérieur notre serveur semblait désabusé par son travail. Le restaurant est très grand, contrairement à la qualité de sa nourriture. J’ai choisi le poulet et ma conjointe les sardines. Le poulet était très sec et sans saveur, pour ce qui est des sardines on avait l’impression qu’elles avaient macéré dans le sel pendant trop longtemps. Bref, expérience très décevante. Resto à oublier.

It consisted of boiled yellow rice with added bits of , separately cooked ,seafood. No saffron / spices / oils .

They had the correct tools that it takes to survive, and be superior in their niche of the gastronome industry. They lost focus and direction; they forgot about the quality. They need to shut their doors and get into a different business.
My experience at this restaurant: (1 – 5, 1= poor, 5= best)
Food: Meat was tough; Shrimp was dry and hard as a rock;
Presentation: Poor, to save on meat the added 2 large tomatoes so they did not have to use meat.
Friendliness: Over friendly, bad jokes
Service: Slow, forgetful
Promptness: Slow
Honesty: The butter, bread, olives, cheese that was put on the table (which you have not requested); they charged you for. In the Portuguese law you do not have for what you have not ordered …. Even if you eat it or drink it.

Restaurante tradicional con platos típicos de Algarve, el bacalao bras y la cataplana de pescado muy ricos. Lo único malo el servicio terriblemente lento. En la parte de atrás hay un patio lleno de plantas muy agradable.

Don't believe what your told, the places looks interesting , but what you get is bland dull food, the only possible dish worth eating was the octopus starter, the rest was not worth waiting for and paying the price.
The catalpa, was uninspired and swimming in taste less watery sauce , do they not know about seasoning food, the sad thing is they will get away ripping the tourist off. Avoid this place .......

The seafood cataplana was very good. The service was nice. It is open on Sunday night which is great.

Very oldfashioned restaurant. I wanted to try local food but what I found was a dirty restaurant (two flies in my beer glass) driven by a tired and serious service. Moreover we were offered some bread with olives and carrots that then se found in the bill was 6€!!

Ordered swordfish which was good quality however it came with just a chargrilled tomato, no potatoes or veg, had to order chips at extra cost when dish was already expensive ...Also took a long time for food to come like 1 hour.
Overcooked squids with ink very very tough.

Nous avons mangé il y a quelques semaines, la cataplana au poulet et fruits de mer était vraiment délicieuse! Le service est bien, variable selon les serveurs, dans la normalité.

Ps: foi um jantar de grupo. Digo isto porque normalmente quando é um jantar de grupo com preço pré estabelecido, o restaurante pensa que é para estudantes... Mas nem todos os jantares de grupo são de estudantes. Como tal, deram frango mal assado, carne da mais barata e seca possível e o pior vinho tinto que já bebi na vida. É pena, porque o espaço é acolhedor e excelente para este tipo de jantar.

Probably the worst seafood I've had, the poor shrimp and fish were overcooked, very dry, and could barely finish the meal. We had to send back our wine, very acidic.
