Staff is very welcoming. The location is located near restaurants and bars. Everything you need is within walking distance. The room is spotless with nice details. Large bathroom and spacious shower. The bed is very comfortable.

This hotel exploits the creator's intellectual property without their permission in order to promote their business. Since 2017, this hotel has repeatedly copied my photos and used them on their social media accounts without my permission, and without due attribution. I have repeatedly complained to this hotel's management about their unauthorised use of my photos as and when I find it. They have admitted having infringed my copyright and apologised and then have promised me they would never do it again. However, this hotel still continues to copy and use my photos without my permission on their social media accounts. Their most recent copyright infringement of my photo took place in April 2019. They might reply to this review, saying that they intended to promote me by posting my photos. However, I point out in advance that they did not credit or mention me at all in their posts containing my photos. Additionally, I have repeatedly told this hotel that the use of my photod isn't free but they still continue using my photo without my permission to promote their business. Isn't it the same as stealing? Further, a social media managing company, Founders Media Ltd (based in the U.K) has been engaged by this hotel to manage their social media accounts. I am not certain if they are still working for this hotel now, but they have recently left antagonising comments on my social media account to damage my reputation with false information, which could be construed as defamation. This company claims that using other people's intellectual property without their permission is legal, which suggests they lack the understanding of the copyright law. I do have evidence to prove all of the above. This hotel should stop harassing and bullying me by continuing copying and using my photos without my permission in the future. Both the hotel and Founders Media should read the terms of services of all social media platforms they use again, because they are not following these terms. Based on my experience with the management, I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel. It appears that they do not have fair business practices, they are lacking proper company compliance policies and that they wilfully ignore complaints.

This hotel for me was perfect. The staff were extremely nice and helpful; the location was perfect; the room had a bed and pillows I wanted to take home with me; and they gave you a smart phone to help you get around the city. We were close to both trams that took us to the places we wanted to see and we were a pleasant walk away for the train to Sintra. I loved this place, the city and the trip.

The receptionists are so professional, friendly and polite and the hotel is extremely clean and the bed is very comfortable. I would rate it 5 star instead of 4.

A nossa estadia no hotel Alma Lusa foi simplesmente perfeita. O hotel está muito bem decorado e o staff acolheu-nos com profissionalismo e simpatia. Para alem disso, está muito bem situado o que é muito pratico para percorrer a cidade a pé. Também foi muito fácil estacionar já que o parque de estacionamento está logo em frente (importantíssimo para nós). O Alma Lusa também fez prova de muito sentido de humor quando esquecemos um peluche no quarto ao partir. Adorei a troca de mails e o desempenho para o encontrar. Por estes motivos todos, voltarei de certeza

TERRIBLE SERVICE BY FERNANDO!!! We traveled 3,500 miles to stay in this hotel with a reservation and booked stay. Once we arrived we had 3 guests and he said we could not stay. I said so we have to stay on the street? He says yes you do. Never tried accomadating us as a family and or ask if would pay extra for a 3rd person. On top of that they said non refundable!! This hotel is a scam and if there was 0 stars to give I would. Don’t book here when traveling in Lisboa.

Only comment is they could pay more attention to sustainability with the very frequent refresh of plastic bottles and towel changes - great on the service front, but many customers may want to reduce their waste impact. The hotel is in a great location and overall very lovely. Sadly, we had a room with no view, i.e. against a wall / airconditioning so that wasn't very pleasing. Apparently, no other rooms were avaiable although, the website said there were. Room was clean however.

Solid choice of accommodation. Location is perfect. The staff is exceptionally friendly. Room cleanliness was perfect; I couldn't even get some dust on my finger by running it over the top of some high light fixtures. The elevator broke down/got stuck twice while we were there--one time with people inside. You could hear them ringing the alarm bell. But we got to see the nice, old wooden staircase because of it, I guess. Please note that despite this we still gave it 5 stars.

Beautiful hotel in a historic building in the heart of Lisbon. The AlmaLusa Baixa & Chiado is an easy walk to the best neighborhoods, the best restaurants, the tram 28, the river, and the TimeOut market. The staff are incredibly hospitable. Breakfast is lovely. Rooms are modern. This is the perfect base for a few days in Lisbon.

The property is exactly as pictured. The rooms have lots of character and the staff were super friendly.The only issue we had was that during our stay, there was a gas leak in the building next door. Freak accident and the staff were apologetic but it did mean that our room smelt of gas for an hour

My husband had booked this hotel for a birthday treat as I was going to the Opera a few blocks away. The staff were very helpful and friendly, what did hit us when we arrived was the strong mixtures of soap and perfume smells, almost like an old ladies handbag. Very overwhelming. The room was comfortable, and tea and coffees were provided. Nice view. The breakfast was not good very basic with no hot food or even being asked if we wanted any at all, and the girl in the breakfast room was more interested in getting our room number rather than helping. When we had arrived after our theatre night there was no food as the chef had gone home...So no snacks or anything, which was disappointing, to say the least. Even the room service stopped at 10 pm. Felt disappointed actually! And will probably not stay there again. It was a good area though to wander around. Their answer was that we had actually had hot breakfast..which was false...

Picked this hotel and I am so glad I did! Hotel smelled do good right when I walked in, and the tea they served is absolutely delicious. Plus, the rooms are cute and very clean. Plus, the area is excellent and within walking distance of most attractions as well as transportation. In addition, the delfina (the restaurant in the hotel) was also very good, both the service and the food was of superb quality. They are also very thoughtful in giving us a gift as we departed. Loved the soap and the bookmark- thanks again and highly recommend!!!!

TL;DR - lovely hotel, but they are so attentive that it is intrusive. 10/10 make sure to tell the front desk to leave you alone. I want to give this hotel a 5 star rating. The staff is friendly, the grounds are clean, the rooms are large, the bathrooms are wonderful; however, they won’t leave me TF alone! I can’t even take a nap mid day without someone knocking on my door trying to tidy my room for the 12th time - even when the do not disturb sign is on my door. Anyways. Lots of knocking on your door during the day. They are hyper-attentive. And, maybe that’s the type of stuff you’re into - I would have loved to catch an hour nap without telling the staff to come back later. Beautiful hotel and such friendly staff, tho.

Location is fabulous. Walk to everthing, and public transport options are aplenty. The staff are fabulous. The hotel is in a lovely old building. Could not fault the service and the food. The provision of a local cell phone for all calls and the internet is an amazing help. This is included with your room! The concierge service is excellent.

We loved our stay here. It was a fabulous hotel and staff and service excellent. The welcome cake and leaving gift was a very lovely touch. Breakfast was very good. And the location was perfect. Would definitely recommend and definitely go back.

Lovely room in a great location. Free water and coffee are a nice touch. My room had no view but I knew that before I booked and that was reflected in the price. Only negative was that the bathroom was quite small. I would definitely stay here again.

Location, location, location. But also free sparkling and still water in glass bottles, nice restaurant downstairs (which is always great if you arrive late in the evening in the pouring rain and have not eaten yet). Bed was good. Outlets next to bed and a place to put the phone. Cute little gift placed in room last evening (a bit embarrassing because I had distributed all my dirty laundry all over the floor to get ready for packing, then decided to go out for dinner not thinking anybody would want to come in). Overall, Id go there again!

Excellent hotel. Friendly and fast service when needed. Rooms are clean, spacious and the bathrooms are well equipped and maintained. They have nice smelling shampoo and soaps making it feel luxurious. There is free bottled water, sparkling and still. Been here for two nights and the experience was on par with other 5 star hotels I’ve stayed in. Would stay again. The location is also perfect. It’s quiet and central.

Lovely hotel. Reception were always helpful and happy. We stayed in a triple room which was spacious and extremely comfortable. Water and coffee in the room and replenished as needed. Breakfast was just right and the made to order eggs were spot on. Good location.

Ancré dans le coeur historique de Lisbonne vous pourrez vous balader en toute tranquillité et à une autre époque du Portugal. Les transports en commun sont très proches et permettent d'aller partout. What an awesome hotel this is. This will sound cheesy but while I'm staying here, I kept comparing this hotel to the "Continental" in John Wick movies: Ask them for anything you want and they'll get it for you. Amazing location, great service, very friendly staff, and the restaurant has very nice and tasty selections. Use their phone app and you'll get all the recommendations for restaurants, landmarks, tour guides, etc. I did two of the guided tour/activities services through them and it was so much fun.

I was able to book a room on the same day as it went on sale for around 150 euro, which I believe was a good deal. Minutes away from the boardwalk, yet quiet and tucked away from the tourist crowds. The interior is modern and convenient with lots of caring touchs. Very happy with my stay and the view of the pave square outside. The staff was courteous and caring, can't ask for a better experience.

Hotel muy bien situado para ver la Lisboa turistica. Entre Barrio Alto y Alfama en el Chiado. Muy limpio, ausencia total de ruido y una cama excelente. Dispone de un restaurante muy agradable y que ofrece un 10% de descuento si eres cliente del hotel. No es un hotel moderno pero si muy confortable y junto al nudo de comunicaciones que te permote acceder a cualquier punto muy comodamente.

Très bel hotel, très bien situé dans Lisbonne. Personnel très accueillant. Très bon petit déjeuner. Très bonne literie! Petit bémol: par rapport au prix des chambres (qui ne sont pas très grandes) il y aurait un petit effort à faire quant à la rénovation/l'entretien: joints de carrelages de la salle de bains noircis de moisissure, murs à repeindre et tapis plain au sol pas très hygiénique.

Staff was very friend;y and helpful. All of the staff seemed genuinely focused on making our stay comfortable. Although we didn’t use iit the free local cell phone is an example of the steps the hotel takes to meet its guests needs.Location is fantastic. It’s a short tram ride to Belém, but all the other sides of interest are walking distance.

wir kamen früh an (ca. 9.30) unser Zimmer wurde schnell für uns vorbereitet, somit konnten wir gleich rein, das Personal ist ausnahmslos liebevoll, immer hilfsbereit, das Frühstück ist sehr lecker, man wurde verwöhnt und es wurde auch immer wieder an den Tisch gebracht, die Lage ist als Ausgangspunkt perfekt! das Essen im Restaurant war auch lecker, es ist nur eine kleinere Karte, aber man sitzt sehr schön und es ist gut!! Das AlmaLusa können wir nur jedem empfehlen!! Wir hatten ein Zimmer zum Platz, (Kaffee und Wasser jeden Tag frisch und kostenfrei auf dem Zimmer), durch die geschlossenen Fenster war es sehr ruhig! Wir können es nur jedem empfehlen!!!

I cannot thank your hotel enough for the beautiful start to my husbands and mine honeymoon. We arrived after being up all night on a red eye with a stop over and a 2 hour customs wait. We were tried and groggy and the moment we walked into the hotel we felt warm and welcomed. The receptionist was so kind and had our bags taken up to the room for us so we could sit down and have a drink and a bit to eat. The room was comfortable, the bed was comfy and I slept like a dream. Our honeymoon planner had a bottle of port and some pastries delivered to us the first night and the second night there was a very nice note and a bottle of champagne left for us by the hotel. EVERYONE, I mean EVERYONE from the reception, the waitstaff, housekeeping was so warm and authentically cared about everyone in their hotel. I will highly recommend your hotel to anyone I know traveling to Lisbon and I will inform my honeymoon planner that she should as well. Thank you so much for such a special stay!

Great location and very convenient. The room came with breakfast. It is probably the most quiet in the Baixa area. We didnt extent our stay due to the sound of tram. The trams were passing quite far like 100 ft away in comparison to other hotels with trams line right at the door. Well, sensitive ears be ware.

Das Hotel liegt gut erreichbar in der Unterstadt von Lissabon, an einem schönen Platz direkt neben der Fußgängerzone, die Metro ist schnell erreichbar, ebenso weitere öffentliche Verkehrsmittel und die vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten in und um Lissabon. Im Vorfeld bekamen wir eine Mail vom Hotel mit einer Auswahl touristischer Angebote, mit der Möglichkeit, diese direkt über das Hotel zu buchen. Der Empfang im Hotel war sehr freundlich, die Receptionsmitarbeiter begleiten die Gäste ins Zimmer und erklären alles. Es wird ein Smartphone für den Aufenthalt zur Verfügung gestellt, mit diversen digitalen Möglichkeiten und touristischen Touren. Außerdem im Zimmer kostenfreies Wasser und die Möglichkeit Kaffee zuzubereiten. Es gibt ein nettes kleines Restaurant, das auch von Einheimischen besucht wird, das Essen schmeckt gut, Preise sind ok und bei gutem Wetter kann man auch draußen sitzen, mit Blick auf den Praca do Municipio. Hier wird auch das Frühstück eingenommen, ein kleines Buffet, das allerdings alles bietet was man braucht. Die zentrale Lage des Hotels hat natürlich auch Nachteile, immer ist irgendwo Lärm, vorne am Platz und hinten von der vielbefahreren Straße, wo die Tram 28 regelmäßig vorbeirattert. Aber das Hotel hat Klimaanlage und gut gedämmte Fenster, man kann also trotzdem gut schlafen in hervorragenden Betten :) Wer mit dem Auto anreist: unter dem Platz ist eine Tiefgarage, das Parken ist zumindest dort kein Problem.

Schönes und modern geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Hotel im Stadtzentrum, unser Zimmer war mit Wasserkocher, Kaffeemaschine, Kühlschrank und sogar Geschirr und Geschirrspüler ausgestattet. Man kann fußläufig sowohl den Fluss als auch das Castello und das Bairro Alto erreichen. Das Personal ist ausgesprochen aufmerksam und freundlich!

What made my family’s stay in AlmaLusa a pleasant experience? Aside from its appealing interior, the room for three persons is clean and spacious, the bed is comfortable, breakfast is filling, and the staff (especially a lady named Andrea) is remarkable. Our requests and queries were graciously addressed and when our tour guide found my scarf and brought it to the hotel after we had left, the hotel promptly mailed it to my son’s temporary address in Europe.

The room is very comfortable and has all the amenities we were looking. It is centrally located and you can access anywhere on Lisbon with ease. I highly recommend this for all guests looking for comfort and quiet place to stay

Leider war das Zimmer - obwohl im 4. Stock des Hotels gelegen - extrem laut. Aufgrund der hügeligen Lage ist bei einem der beiden Fenster direkt eine Straße vorbeigegangen inkl. Tram. Man hatte das Gefühl die Tram fährt mitten durchs Zimmer ...und das zwischen 6h Früh und 22h abends ... dafür war das Zimmer bei weitem zu teuer!

Summary: We booked a Deluxe double room overlooking Praça do Municipio. AlmaLusa is a beautiful hotel favorably located with friendly and cheerful staff, with a very good restaurant Delfina. However, we had unpleasant experiences during our entire 6 nights stay. In our opinion the professionalism, housekeeping and the technical equipment of our room (air conditioning, TV) do not correspond to the 4 stars qualification of Hotels.com. Housekeeping: Rather unhygienic conditions, dirty dishes, crumbs next to the phone, fingerprints on the tap and mirror, hairs and dust on the bathroom floor, never noticeably cleaned (never vacuum-cleaned, dishes we used were never exchanged but turned upside down back to its original place instead), beds done very unprofessionally, no constant supply of neither soaps nor free mineral water. Air conditioning: Room was either too cold (AC on) or too warm (AC off). We either were freezing or sweating. According to the reception staff guests cannot adjust temperature by themselves (although on the info-sheet in the room it says it is). We shall quote just turn off the AC when you feel cold! After having complained several times to the reception the management got involved only one day before our departure. Mrs Brandao apologized and the AC was adjusted finally to a comfortable temperature and our room was cleaned the first time since we got there, however still insufficiently.

We arrived in Lisbon after a tiring red eye flight and delays retrieving luggage and were quite exhausted. But upon arrival at the hotel, staff were very supportive (although room wasn't available for early check-in). Still, we were able to refresh ourselves in their lobby as we took a few moments to change etc in their rather spacious rest rooms. The rooms were a tad small, but the beds were very comfortable and welcoming. They also surprised us with a small bed for our son, to which he slept soundly. And despite facing the plaza, we didn't hear the local noises. Breakfast was simple (eggs with bacon) but they had a nice quality selection of breads, meats and toppings for yogurt. The staff were very pleasant and helpful across the board. A great value considering the proximity to some of the best neighborhoods in the city.

Das Hotel hat erst vor ca. 3 Wochen eröffnet.Es ist sehr stylish und die Angestellten sehr nett und hilfsbereit, trotzdem gibt es noch Anlaufschwierigkeiten.Z.B. gab es in unserer Suite keine Möglichkeit einen Mantel aufzuhängen, geschweige denn einen Kleiderschrank.Uns wurde bei Nachfrage eine mobile Kleiderstange ins Zimmer gestellt.Bei der Wahl des Zimmers, sollte ein Zimmer mit Blick auf den Platz gewählt werden!Unbedingt das vielfältige Angebot der Themenstadtführungen des Hotels nutzen. Sehr kompetente Stadtführer, z.T. Archäologen führen durch die Stadt.
