Fantastic classy restaurant just above the beach. Great food, service and views. We had the sardines which came with new potatoes and salad, absolutely delicious.

A hidden gem, as we sort of described this to each other. Whilst staying in Lagos we stoppen here spontanious after visiting Sagres. Weather was sunny, beach was quiet.. and then to find this bar.. wow! We just had a few drinks and a snack, but the setting was perfect! Staff was very friendly as well...

Good service with good food and drink. You can’t get a better setting than this in the algarve imho. Right on the beach.
Does get very busy at lunch so if you are only visiting Burgau for the day, make sure you book ahead.

Came to Burgau because of this place and we weren't disappointed, the inside is all wood with live Weeping Figs at one end, the staff are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble, the view is perfect, looking out on the sandy beach and crashing surf. The food was delicious with a really good selection of desserts, if you get the chance give it a go.

Hier een aantal malen vertoefd voor een relax dagje aan het strand. De strandstoelen zijn wat aan de dure kant maar het eten is hier erg goed. Wat je ook besteld mosselen, kip, inktvis alles is vers en van goede kwaliteit. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk en de prijzen zijn redelijk. Enigste nadeel is dat de tent vaak vol zit met reserveringen zeker als je wat later wil eten. Als je rond 12.30 binnen wandelt heb je nog kans op een vrije tafel daarna neemt de kans snel af. Voor een lekkere lunch aan het strand is dit echt een aanrader

Fantastic location on a beautiful beach, food was delicious and well priced, staff were friendly and helpful, apart from the 1 waiter who was very rude and let the restaurant down, questioned why i sat down on a table although another waiter had sat me and then ignored later request to receive a bill, the short waiter with the dodgy parting

Offers everything you could want from a beach bar, good food and friendly staff. Enjoy the wonderful beach and wander in to the bar for whatever takes your fancy. Recommend the grilled sardines special if available.

Só fiquei em pânico quando vi no menu que não aceitavam cartões de crédito para pagamento. Logo o empregado me disse que isso foi no ano anterior. O resto tudo muito bom.

I have frequented the Burgau Beach Bar for over 20 years. It is still run by the same family serving food to a very high standard. The prices are very reasonable but the ocean views are out of this world.

Such a great place. The octopus was outstanding, and they always have a selection of the freshest fish and seafood. Service is superb! So often you visit beach restaurants that are just average. It's so great to have one that is literally on the beach, where the quality of the food matches the location! Can't wait to go back!

Superbe déjeuner en famille. Serveurs souriants et sympas! Poissons exquis notre fille s'est régalée. Gâteaux à déguster absolument! Je recommande vivement!

This bar is a gem. Unbelievable location overlooking the beach at Burgau with great food and spectacular desserts. There’s a walkway from the road by the wall if you don’t want to walk through the sand (although I’d recommend doing that!) and the terrace in the very back has better shade if the sun is still burning down when you get there.

As the same suggests, this restaurant is on the beach in Burgau. There is decent selection of fresh seafood. Selection of fish is shown on the board. Cube potatoes are very nice. Good selection of drinks from the bar. Good service and Englisg is not a problem. Prices are higher than average. Views are fantastic especially at sunset.

Etwas schwierig zu erreichen, ist es jedoch geschafft bietet dieser Strand alles ersehnte. Die Liegen sind für kleines Geld zu haben, das Restaurant hat eine äußerst gute Qualität zum fairen Preis. Ohne Reservierung ist Geduld gefragt.

6 out of 10, food was tasty, we had grilled King prawns and swordfish both were slightly overcooked. Lovely refreshing dressing on the salad,friendly staff, just didn't understand why half of the tables were "reserved" without anyone appearing at them for ~80 min or more, seems like a common thing around here. Would recommend getting a booking, food is not bad and you can get a lovely view.

Beach Bar Burgau is a wonderful place for a beer or an ice cream during beach time. If you want to enjoy one of their great meals it's better to make a reservation. With that beautiful view you can't really go wrong with anything. Just enjoy :)

If you are looking for a nice meal or a drink right on the beachside then this is a lerfect spot! Situated in a small fishing village, it is one of my most favourite places to go. Great for little ones too !

Un bel bar/ristorante con una strepitosa vista sull'oceano e direttamente sulla spiaggia. Molto cordiale il personale che non disdegna di parlare in italiano. Non ci ho mai mangiato ma ho sempre solo sfruttato il bar che, tra l'altro, propone un caffè espresso più che decoroso. Certo i prezzi sono quelli da bar della spiaggia in una zona dove non ce ne sono altri, dunque non aspettatevi di pagare poco...

Leider ist ein großer Teil des eh nicht sehr langen Standes mit Algen im Wasser verseucht.
Das Wasser an den anderen Stwllen ist sehr klar, aber mega kalt. Ferner kommt man zur Zeit komplett eingesandet vom Strand, da der Wind extrem den feinen Sand einem um die Ohren fegt. Naja...mir gefällt das nicht so...

The fresh fish was excellent but it took 90 min.to get served and only three of us got fresh fish, the fourth on of us had to do with dried cod which was just ordinary.

Heerlijk gegeten gisteravond in een moi setting aan strand/zee. Goede bediening, veel verse visgerechten, pasta met garnalen, inktvis met aardappelgerecht naar keuze, vleesspiezen, allemaal even lekker en postjes zijn voldoende. Ook een 15-tal cocktails te krijgen. Echte aanrader!!

Heerlijk genoten van een verrukkelijke zeebaars. Maar ook voor niet vis-eters is er genoeg overheerlijke gerechten te kiezen. In dit geval de crispy chicken is een echte aanrader! Heel prettig is ook de salade als je graag groente eet.
De bediening is erg vriendelijk en super behulpzaam. Een echte aanrader.

Die Lage ist unbeschreiblich schön jedoch ist der Service unter aller Kanone! Um die Menükarte zu erhalten muss man betteln und die Kellner sehen alle gleich mürrisch aus. Am besten man hat ne Trillerpfeife um auf sich aufmerksam zu machen.
Der Wein ist gut allerdings war das Essen für den Preis zu schlecht. Eher mit gutem Imbissfood vergleichbar. Also preisleistungsverh. gleich null Sterne. Mir fehlt absolut das herzliche um sich wohl zu fühlen. Schade eigentlich ...

Die Lage bekommt volle Punktzahl, das war es dann leider auch schon.
Wobei der Roséwein als Finish eines tollen Strandtages mit einem super Meerblick wirklich den Tag abrundet.
Der Service holt einen jedoch schnell zurück in die Realität-die man im Urlaub eigentlich zu verdrängen sucht,oder?
Schlecht gelaunte Gesichter, kaum Aufmerksamkeit und trotz dreitägigem abendlichen Roséwein trinken [um den super Blick zu genießen] keinerlei Reaktion auf Wiedererkennung und das Gefühl, fremd und unerwünscht zu sein. Vielleicht, weil wir keine Engländer sind ;)
Essen? Mal sehen, dass versuchen wir gleich...
Für das Essen gibt es 0 Sterne!
Mies, billige Zutaten und das Geld auf keinen Fall auch nur im Ansatz wert!!!

We visited this establishment last night and I can honestly say it was one of the most enjoyable dining experiences of our week in Portugal. It's prawns and fish are to die for ,6 of us ate here and not one minor complaint . Staff were so helpful and delightful as was the owner . This establishment is a must .

Curiosamente estos señores se han olvidado que sus vecinos más próximos son los españoles, y toda su forma de actuar, los horarios, su carta, y sus cócteles están pensados para ingleses. NO TIENEN CARTA EN ESPAÑOL. EN INGLÉS SÍ.
La atención es regular, e incluso se nota cierto desprecio por el hecho de no ser ingleses.
La comida es rica, pero los camareros no hacen mucho esfuerzo por explicarte lo que te servirán.
Una pena que el chiringuito de playa no acompañe a un paraje tan estupendo.
Es el tercer año que voy a Burgau (años alternos, no consecutivos), pero este año está siendo el de peor atención.
Ayer nos sentaron a la mesa a las 15 horas (pedimos mesa para las 14), y no nos dieron ni pan antes de las 16:15. (Sí tenemos en cuenta que los ingleses comen a las 13, estoy seguro que rompimos sus esquemas)
Una pena!!
Somos dos familias con hijos con edades comprendidas entre los 18 y los 10 años.
Comemos y cenamos fuera los 10 días que veraneamos.

Un buen lugar para comer durante un dia de playa. No es el tipico chiringuito playero. Sorprenden la calidad de los platos, son sencillos pero bien elaborados,y sobre todo la atencion de sus camareros que es excepcional. El café es genial. El precio algo elevado, pero lo normal para estar en primera linea de playa. Muy recomendable!

De passagem pela praia de Burgau, paramos para almoçar no Restaurante Beach Bar Burgau. Pedimos Camarão cozido, Dourada grelhada e Spaghetti com camarão. Todos os pratos muito bem apresentados e saborosos. O serviço foi rápido e eficiente. Terminamos com café Espresso, sorvetes e uma maravilhosa torta com amêndoas e doce de ovos.

Great restaurant, we had a nice meal here in July and returned for another- not disappointed in the least, the food was brilliant and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Definitely one to add to the must see list for any visitors to the area.

We love the beach bar in Burgau. It's our first port of call when we've arrived from Faro and left our luggage at our villa. The staff are so friendly and the service is excellent. The food is absolutely delicious and we can't wait to go back there again. Thank you to Marco, Iris his lovely wife and his younger brother who run the restaurant to such a high standard. Hope to see you all next year or sooner if we can afford it.

The most helpful staff ever! Great prawns in between meals served cold. Sangria by the jug is excellent. Guessing in high season it gets quite busy but in May there's always space on the decking .

Great staff, been returning for years, same high standards. A great way to end the day is on the veranda overlooking the Atlantic with an iced Brandymal.
