Incrível estadia no Six Senses, desde as boas vindas até ao check out.
Simpatia de todo os funcionários.
Envolvência do rio Douro com a vinha e as incríveis instalações.
Piscina interior, Spa e piscina exterior que nos fazem perder a noção do tempo.
Tranquilidade e bem estar são palavras de ordem.
Adorei o conceito de sustentabilidade, sem plásticos nem desperdícios, com um horta biológica muito cuidada e integrada.
Os jardins conseguem tirar-nos o fôlego!
O pequeno almoço é simplesmente fabuloso.
Nos quartos e dentro de todo o hotel a atenção a cada detalhe , cada pormenor, faz a diferença neste luxuoso paraiso no meio deste nosso Douro.

A great hotel in a very quiet location. We loved the Douro Valley and would love to return. Hopefully, on our anniversary next year. The room, the spa and the restaurant were all top notch. We loved the hot choices at breakfast. There was a good selection of complimentary activities. The staff were competent and friendly.

Very relaxing place. Great service. Loved the resort dog Auqa who accompanied us on our walk to Pacheca winery. Louis from front desk gave us great tips where to go to eat on our trip to Lamego. Hoping to come back soon. Our Courtyard suite was extremely spacious and very comfortable.

we had booked a patio/terrace and when we arrived not only did we not get one we were told we there were no patios which is not true. in addition she said we had no breakfast included. we didnt appreciated her attitude and the way we were treated when we checked in. I had to give the receptionist a copy of my reservation which was really irritating. the hotel was very nice and had the chance to be great, but it under preformed on everything level including our meals. the wine tasting we signed up for was also poor. no one could understand what the guy was saying. you should take a lesson from the yeatman hotel in porto on how to treat your guests.

Atende a tudo que é oferecido, localização às margens do Douro, os apartamento com vista ampla para a floresta e para o Rio, arquitetura moderna é lindíssima,café da manha excepcional, cortesia (destaque para Marta na recepção) em todas as partes, se tem sol use a piscina externa e a qualquer tempo, a interna aquecida, o spa e o gym são legais, o preço é justo. Os bares, restaurantes e cafés do hotel são agradáveis e gostosos. As atividades como bike down hill, scenic walk.

Six Senses is a dream resort. The service is impecable and the setting incredible. Our sumpruous suite looked out on the spectacular Douro River and Valley.
Each morning and evening we had breakfast on the outdoor patio. The food was delicious with a wide selection. Enjoy every minute.

The Hotel is very pretty the personnel extremely well trained and genuinely friendly- the overall feeling is a bit pretentious and some of the design elements in the rooms make no sense.
The open bathroom makes for not only no privacy but difficult sleeping conditions for those sharing a room.

Perfect surroundings. Well equiped and elegant designed room. Young smiling and fresh personnel. Lovely food with a wide range of both healthy and sinful food. Spa-facilities was very good experience. All in all very exclusive and recommendable. We would love to come back.

Very nice service, staff always smiling...
My room number was 505. I suggest that you put 2 different commands for the blackouts. Both the bedroom and the lounge have a single control. Also, the doors that separate the 2 room are translucid. If one on the couple wakes up early and and wants to open the blackout it would wake up the partner.
Besides that, it was a great experience and I will certainly be back.

O restaurante é igualmente delicioso, e o vinho do Porto branco para iniciar o jantar é o melhor que já tomei.

The staff is so kind!... It was really good to feel their joy and dedication without being "excessive".
All spaces are very confortable and exceptionally decorated.

It was very good to realize the environmental concerns, such as the reduction of plastic in the bar, rooms, etc.

The grounds and the property were absolutely gorgeous. It almost doesnt feel like real life. And we went in February, when it presumably isnt quite as breathtaking as other times of the year.

Sehr schön gelegenes Hotel, überragender Service. Wunderschöne, gepflegte Anlage. Schöne Zimmer mit Blick auf den Douro. Frühstück, Mittag oder Abendessen waren sehr gut, es wurde auf individuelle Wünsche geachtet und eingegangen. Der einzige Kritikpunkt ist, dass angebotene Tagesevents wie z.B. Weinproben etc. stark Teilnehmer begrenzt und entsprechend schnell ausgebucht sind. Hier lohnt es sich schon im Vorfeld zu informieren und ggf. die Teilnahme zu reservieren. Ich kann das Hotel nur wärmstens empfehlen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Repeat experience! Magnificent reception showing us all the corners of the hotel and presenting the Six Senses philosophy. I wish all the hotels followed the example; Above all eliminate the use of plastic replace it with glass or recycled materials. The activities offered by the hotel are very interesting, according to the style and theme of wines, food and wellness. A program so broad that you want to stay a month to do it all!
All rooms are very clean, our superior was very nice with the entrance separating the bed and the bathroom open. The living room separated by a column with another TV and a small stone balcony taking advantage of the original architecture of the building. With all kinds of amenities, all services centralized by a mobile phone that works both to turn off the lights, remote control or book any service or have contact with the reception.
The indoor pool dominates the spa area with large windows overlooking the river Douro, the treatment area very pleasant with several sauna options.
The common areas are very nice, highlighting the cafeteria and the library area with an interior design taking care of all the details.
Breakfast is already among my favorites because besides being all magnificently arranged, the variety and quality of the products are very high. Predominate very fresh products of the area, also highlight the sympathy of the service always willing to meet our needs and available to answer us about curiosities that we usually have.
Point to improve: The mattress seemed very soft and was not uniform because in the center was harder than at the ends.
Another thing that could be improved is being able to choose each ambient light separately.

This might be my favorite hotel. I really cannot come up with anything to improve. It’s just great.
Location - The grounds are pretty. Great view of the river and trails through woods. It’s a 10 min taxi ride to town if you want to try restaurants there. And of course there are many many vineyards to visit.
Room - The view is amazing. I loved sitting in the window seat (there are three) with my tea and enjoying the view. Large room with a coffee bar in the entry way and then two chaise lounges facing the tv. On the other side is the bed and bathroom. Two sinks with plenty of space. The shower was huge and had amazing water pressure. Toilet closet also had a bidet. The True Organics products are nice and smell amazing.
Service - Top notch. Everyone was friendly and helpful and knew who we were. The sommelier was so nice and recommended more than wine.
Spa - Great store with products. There were five sauna rooms. One faced the outdoors - so peaceful. Large pool. Great views from the treatment rooms.
Food - The breakfast was ridiculously delicious. The homemade juices and jams - yum! A cheese and meat room. The avocado toast with egg was so good. The restaurant was prefect for dinner. We loved the flatbread and drinks in the bar. Great snack options and some perfect cocktails.

14-02-2019, por recomendação efectuei uma reserva para duas noites neste pequeno paraíso no litoral do douro vinhateiro. No dia da chegada a porta deste pequeno paraíso tem a grandeza de nos acolher com a mais simples, sincera e honesta simpatia dos seus colaboradores,que por toda a estadia se pautou pela mesma atitude. Na chegada ao nosso quarto a surpresa na relação simplicidade e bom gosto continuava com a mesma elegância, no reconhecimento por nós feito a todas as instalações as surpresas continuavam e continuavam...
Meus caros, para finalizar deixo um grande abraço de reconhecimento a todo o STAFF pelo seu excelente trabalho.
Em relação ao Hotel, um bem haja a todos aqueles que pensaram em proporcionar esta beleza, simplicidade e bom gosto a todos nós que passamos por esta vida e que tanto merecemos ter magia, felicidade e encantamento.

The hotel has nice features but needs an upgrade to be considered 5 stars. Rooms rather dull and small, staff badly dressed up particularly in restaurant. Food was ok but not what I had expected to be the level.
Staff is friendly and would do everything possible to please. Overall not convinced to go back.

Truly amazing resort. Very nice decorations. Very nice food. The grounds are well laid out. The spa is beautiful. We had a fantastic time. There was a miscommunication at some point with a member of staff. But thanks to director of food and beverage Mr. Nuno Miranda that incident was resolved in better than expected matter. Wonderful vacation. Thank you Six Senses.

Climatisation vraiment trop bruyante la nuit, nous avons dû la couper car bruit infernal (Room 105), du coup très chaud pendant la nuit, et mal dormi, quel dommage... Sinon un énorme merci à Marta, Ricardo yet Luis, ainsi que toute léquipe du petit déjeuner, quel professionnalisme, bravo !!! Et un grand merci à léquipe du Turn Night qui parle français, vraiment une personne adorable qui aime son travail, tout est impeccable !

First time to the douro valley and to a Six senses resort. My wife and I could not be happier with our experience. Each GEM, from the valet, to the check in and the spa were incredibly nice people to be around. We especially liked the Solmolier onsite...cant remember his name but he was awesome. Cant say enough good things...your staff truly wowed us. We will most likely be back this summer when we move from the states to Lisbon.

This is by far one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in and I have stayed in many many 5 stars! The attention to detail was in every corner. The food was perfection, as were the rooms and common areas. I never wanted to leave and am trying to figure out how to get back :)

Une expérience unique de chez Six Senses, une suite magnifique équipée d’une piscine privée, salon, cuisine et un coin de lecture.
Le petit déjeuner délicieux, les fruits plein de goût.
La qualité de service était à la hauteur.
Nous avons testé le spa, la piscine intérieure et les randonnées autour de l’hôtel.
J’étais complètement dépaysée, envie de retourner !

Lieu incroyable niché au cœur des vignes, au pied du douro qui est fait pour le repos du corps et de l esprit... Mais si un apéritif au bord de la piscine est très abordable le prix des chambres reste prohibitif....

Nous avons passé une séjour juste exceptionnelle. Le concepte six Senses est parfais, de beaux produits locaux avec un personnel très "cool", très proche. Loins de tout ce bling bling des autres hotels 5 étoiles.
Très belles demeure, calme et excelente restoration (essayer absolument le BBQ du week-end)

I felt like I was the only person at the Six Senses Spa in the Douro Valley, though it was fully booked. It was peaceful, healing and visually stunning. I believe I got five years of my life back. You can't put a price on that.

Stunning property, offers everything to the guest to make their stay complete and memorable ,there is almost no need to leave the hotel as there is so much to do there ( apart of course from some must do's in the region such as river cruises and wineries visits) , the BBQ experience , the pool, the spa, the magic gardens with hidden spots ( don't miss the picnic spot for a romantic meal or .....proposal?) ..everything is 5 star quality and a huge congrats for being a Green hotel and environmentally sustainable ( plastic free, local bottled water ,etc)

A wonderful resort, feels like a dreamland and definitely recommended for a couple of nights! The only disappointing factor was the spa, as much as the staff was friendly and helpful, yet the massage wasn’t as good as the ones we’ve had in other six senses! The wine tasting experience was really nice and the breakfast was excellent.

Your hotel is in a fantastic location and placement in the terrain is fabulous! We loved the hotel grounds, especially the herb garden.
We had an exquisite room. The only drawback was that it was next to the stairwell so it was necessary to lower the curtains to ensure privacy. But minor detail!
The restaurants provided great food and service. We joined the BBQ night, a great way to bond with other guests. The breakfast spread is impressive and a must.
The Spa is very nice and relaxing. The gym is spacious and well equipped. We had the space all to ourselves!
We had a great time at the wine tasting, the wine guy did a great job!
The only drawback; You have a very good wine list. Too bad the mark-up is more than 100%.

I wish I could have stayed more time to enjoy the hotel facilities. Excellent service. Attentive and efficient. We knew Aquapura. The hotel upgrade is remarkable. Not only with decoration ( much brighter rooms) and confort. Service was upgraded to. In my next stay you're going to try the spa and the restaurant. We have excellent references from our friends so we are looking forward to be back in October.

Great hotel, location, food and wine services. Few issues with our villa - lighting very poor, nowhere to put toiletries in main bathroom, no towel hooks and sometimes only one towel would be replaced in each bathroom. Other than that it was very comfortable and spacious.

The Spa was wonderful, especially the IR sauna. The views of the river, valley and vineyards are breathtaking and the room are fantastic and we especially like the use of the smartphone.

Very nice hotel w 40+ rooms. We are particularly happy with the comprehensive gym that it offers. The restaurant menu is quite international, while I would personally like it more Portuguese. The bar offers an interesting cocktail menu, and I really like white port as a summery drink. After driving around Douro Valley, I would say this is the best hotel in the valley

We had an incredible time at your relaxing and beautiful hotel. We had been traveling throughout Portugal and to come to your beautiful spot was calming. Your staff was always friendly and courteous. Our room was perfectly appointed and oh so comfortable. We have stayed at many luxury resorts throughout the world from the Four Seasons in Bali and Maui to Las Ventanas al Paraiso in Mexico. We would rank Six Senses among the very top!

What a grand hotel! The place you can go to stay IN great food and wine in a palatial setting. Had a tour with the wine and food manager and was left open mouthed. The absolute best care they take with guests is unparalleled. Definitely worth a visit if... You can not see the bottom of your wallet yeah, it is super expensive, but you get what you pay for!

Tudo correu na perfeição, nas como se costuma dizer: " No melhor pano cai a nódoa..."
É uma questão insignificante, claro que já repararam na minha avaliação ... tudo no máximo.
Simplesmente não compreendo como um simples copo de vinho não está incluído no menu do jantar e tem que ser pago á parte.
Não iria exigir um vinho especial, na minha opinião não fica bem cobrar o valor de um copo de vinho na refeição, ainda para mais , estando numa região vinícola, para mim faria todo o sentido incluir um vinho de qualidade mediana, caso o cliente deseje um vinho especial então faria sentido cobrar como extra.

Also the bed was surprisingly uncomfortable for a hotel of this supposed quantity - I noticed that it was actually 2 single bed frames pushed together!

The F&B Team, Spa Team and FO quality of service was excellent. A very peaceful location and place to stay in, walking through the forest it really gives you the chance to reconnect with yourself. The Spa facilities and Team are just 10 out of 10. Their expertise and knowledge can be tested on each one of the offerings they have in the Spa Menu. Definitely I will be back!!

We came to the hotel with some reservations whether it would live upto our expectations and am pleased to state that our experience greatly exceeded these ! The only thing I would comment on is that you need to provide transfers to and from the airport as our experience in hiring a car in Porto was terrible having booked it from Englandand paid in advance Just spoils the whole experience.

Para quem busca excelência rigor e qualidade aqui é o lugar em pleno Douro! Minha experiência foi única neste paraíso virado para um dos roteiros mais desejados em Portugal. Não é por acaso que o rio Douro tem a classificação que tem por parte da Unesco! Atendimento de alto padrão! A nível do restaurante tudo preparado com qualidade e alto rigor, fantástica experiência de harmonização de vinhos com os pratos degustados! Nas minhas últimas viagens a Portugal, vivi várias experiências em torno do Douro, e hoje me sinto à vontade para falar que o Douro Valley é a melhor unidade hoteleira do Douro. Na minha opinião existem duas grandes experiências este hotel e o navio hotel da Douro Azul. Para quem busca descobrir o Douro são as duas melhores opções. Recomendo!

We stopped at the bar to have a drink and dessert. The hotel is absolutely stunning. The service is impeccable and I wish we had stayed here and come for dinner. The cocktails were beautifully crafter and delicious. The chef's take on apple pie was to die for and has ruined all other apple pies for me.

The hotel is beautifully designed to take full advantage of its stunning surroundings amongst the vineyards of the Douro Valley, and there are magnificent views from its many expansive terraces and communal areas. A highlight is also its own huge parklands, through which one can stroll all the way down to the river. Our room was very spacious and modern, with all the amenities one expects from a 5-star hotel. However, to us, a downside was a feeling of it being over-serviced. Perhaps it is because we are not familiar with the Six Senses chain, but we also felt a bit put out by the fact that, no sooner have you checked in, than you are handed a list of activities, very few of which are included in the already steep room charge, and the rest of which seemed, to us exorbitantly priced. Dinner in their restaurant was delicious, but the pressure to drink a lot of wine before, during and after is annoying for those who are not big drinkers and seems a bit at odds with it also attempting to create an image of itself as health and wellness retreat.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two nights at the beautiful Six Senses Douro Valley. The property is stunning, the rooms are spacious and beautiful and the food is incredible (breakfast is amazing)!. It was so relaxing and a real treat to take advantage of the free classes, the various rooms in the spa (sauna, aromatherapy, infrared, steam room), as well as to treat ourselves to spa treatments. We look forward to exploring other Six Senses hotels around the world.

A nossa experiência não correspondeu às expectativas que tínhamos, essencialmente pelo preço que pagamos por duas noites em regime de PA.
Infelizmente tivemos alguns contratempos que fizeram com que a estadia não fosse inesquecível.
- Jantamos no restaurante do hotel onde comemos uma sopa de peixe que foi servida com espinhas (o que não é aceitável num hotel de 5*).
- a porta de acesso ao minibar (no quarto) estava avariada o que fez com que a luz estivesse constantemente acesa, o que impediu que descansássemos como esperávamos durante a noite.

O hotel e a experiência são únicos, realmente. Tudo muito bonito, relaxante, aconchegante, como esperado e anunciado. Gastronomia excelente também. Única crítica que me cabe fazer diz respeito aos valores dos vinhos da carta, que são efetivamente bem elevados em relação aos valores praticados no mercado (mesmo para um hotel de elevado nível como é o Six Senses). Com valores mais próximos aos valores de mercado, provavelmente teríamos consumido bem mais vinhos dentro do próprio hotel. Uma pena (para nós e para o próprio hotel). У нас была двухуровневая вилла, чисто, кровать мягкая, подушки с разными наполнителями, так что можно убрать какая больше понравится, перед сном готовят кровать и кладут тапочки и халатик чтобы ты надел и уснул. Очень заботливо. Идеальный Бенедикт на завтрак, и вообще очень вкусные завтраки по меню ( каши, панкейки). Пока нет матчи, но они в процессе:) бассейн не подогревается. Есть много активностей, даже неделю будет чем заняться, это важно! Мы брали пикник и мастер класс по приготовлению португальской еды. Все на высшем уровне. Все активности нужно бронировать лучше в день приезда, так как если вы внезапно захотите что то поделать, у вас получится только на след день при наличии свободных мест! Так что лучше проконсультироваться и сразу распланировать время. Я бы хотела съездить в кинты, но времени не хватило. Есть много красивых кинт с производством рядом. Очень советую.

The location is perfect and the hotel's infra is incredible. Everything you would expect on a Six Senses hotel in terms of environment and activities offered. The décor has more to an American luxury chain such as like Four Seasons rather than the local Quintas', but that is the price you pay for the comfort offered, after all, the place is huge! Concierge on arrival was very efficient and promptly arranged the specific visits to local wine producers we requested, as well as transportation. Another positive point was the private wine tasting and explanation provided by Mario from the wine cellar. He surely knows his bottles! The wine cellar's variety is excellent and allows you to access the best available in the the region, which sort of mitigates the considerable price mark-up. Food is just ok, not outstanding. Our overall experience was within our expectations.
Service. It isn't exactly bad, but tends to be slow and confusing. Unfortunately, this seems to be a major problem in Portugal when it comes to luxury services. Examples: breakfast "table arranging" system is confusing and you struggle to get your hot beverages without having to order 2-3 times. In addition, the guy entitled to operate the eggs (at an open bar in the middle of the main restaurant, which makes some heavy smoke and smell) is frenetically speaking to the staff, constantly clinking his tools and when I ordered egg white omelettes, not only he made that "turning eye emoji" face as slipped the interjection "misericórdia" (something like "for God's sake"). The sommelier at the main restaurant took so long to appear that we had already given up waiting for his advise when he came to take our order. I don't think the problem are one or two employees, let me be clear. Staff doesn't treat you bad, they just lack the training needed to service at a place like Six Senses.
Gym should have more cardio machines, as only 2 treadmills seems little in peak times. I would highly recommend a stair simulator. The SPA massages are above average but really guys, "best in Europe" is a bit pushy. Definitely not comparable to the service offered by the Six Senses chain in Asia.
Bonus: management team should really advise staff to be careful when addressing Brazilian clients (which are considerable in the hotel, for obvious reasons). I do understand there's a difference in the way Portuguese people are more "straight to the point" when communicating, but it is very easy to be misunderstood as rude. This is probably what happened when I called reception asking for an iron for my room and was told that there was none available. By the way, really? At a 800EUR/night 5* hotel?

Idyllic location. Check-in and front desk staff go out of their way to ensure that you have a memorable time. Service is outstanding. Rooms and facilities are excellent. There is no courtesy shuttle, and taxi services are limited. A range of easy transportation connections to nearby towns is one thing lacking, although this would not have been an issue if we had rented a car from Porto. Better transport may also give easier access to food and activity choices that are more varied. Not inexpensive! The beauty of the surrounding landscape is truly refreshing. Overall a wonderful experience.

We visited Six Senses Douro Valley with our family of 8. Our ages range from 18 to 57 years. Every single person LOVED the resort. The stunning landscapes, the wonderful rooms, the extraordinary views, the fabulous food - and of course all of the amenities. I don't think there is a square inch of the resort that we didn't use and enjoy. We walked the trails all over the grounds, we used the gym and sauna extensively, we enjoyed both swimming pools, we had massages, we ate at all of your restaurants (except the new raw fish concept which we were dying to try but ran out of time), we did the wine tasting, we used the SUP on the river. The perfect destination! with impeccable service across every role.

This is indeed one of the best places to stay in Portugal. Where everything is amazing, the space is gorgeous, the staff is incredible, food is out of this world. It’s the perfect place to relax and de-stress. The spa is mandatory as well as a massage.

This is a beautiful hotel, the views are amazing and the facilities are great. The staff were a let down and not up to the usual Six Senses standard that we've experienced elsewhere. From this there were a few mistakes and they weren't dealt with as well as they could be. Views from the hotel are amazing but there was a wall at the end of our rooms so we couldn't see anything which is the same for all rooms on the 1st floor.

the hotel is beautiful and the location is wonderful - my wife and i find the bathroom arrangement in the room far from ideal - a more private bathroom arrangement which keeps noise and light in the bedroom at a minimum is greatly preferred - we would not stay in this type of configured room again

A few days of utter heaven in the Douro valley.
The attention to detail is second to none. Staff could not be nicer or more helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. Lovely walks, comfortable room with fabulous views, a fantastic spa and the most amazing restaurants you can imagine (breakfast was truly extraordinary!). We did the chef's table and were looked after by Louis and Rui and could not believe how fantastic and intimate it felt even though we were in the heart of the main kitchen, 10 courses of dining magic. Wine tasting was wonderful and informative and left us wanting to know much more about this fantastic and little known part of Portugal.
Thank you so much, we really could not have enjoyed ourselves more and came back refreshed and determined to revisit as soon as possible.

Splendide, magnifique, génial, hôtel extraordinaire.
La piscine, le cadre, la cave et surtout le petit dejeuner sont magnifiques.
Petit bémol: le prix du petit déj , 25€/personne. Même si les produits sont frais et fait maison un tel prix n’est pas justifié.

Céu no Douro! Adoro este hotel. Tem experiências incríveis: quartos magníficos com pormenores incríveis, spa e piscina difíceis de resistir, imponentes, arquitectura belíssima, vistas sobre o Douro que parecem quadros e uma professora de yoga suspenso (e não só) que adorei conhecer.

Cet hôtel est extraordinaire, le lieu est somptueux, tout est bien organisé, le personnel est à l’écoute et aux petits soins, le restaurant est très bon ainsi que le « petit » déjeuner. Les chambres sont très propres et bien entretenues. En plus l’hôtel propose même des activités ludiques ! Ce fut le meilleur séjour que j’ai passé de toute ma vie... merci à toute l’équipe.

Lovely place both to wind down, if budget is not an issue, or have business meetings (they have meeting room facilities). Nice wine selection. Come in the right season if you want to enjoy the outside infinity pool. Very friendly staff.

Unfortunately I didn’t know about this place and in my last night someone told me to check it and to go there for a drink. It’s the most stunning boutique hotel that I ever saw, the design of the place is simply unbelievable.. In every detail you can see it. simply amazing !
they have 5* spa super professional. the view from the hotel it’s something outstanding, the perfect place to relax and enjoy. the staff so friendly and nice. next time I must come and stay for few days.. this place really moved me.
Go there and then you’ll understand.

Excelente hotel, muito boa experiência e o staff e muito atencioso. Única coisa a apontar acho que deviam prevalecer o português, como abordar os clientes em português primeiro, tal como este survey está em inglês e não portugues . Mesmo sendo uma marca internacional o six senses prevalece sempre a cultura local .
O spa e uma experiência maravilhosa e a comida do restaurante estávamos à espera de muito mais. No bar tanto a comida bebida como o serviço foram impecáveis e o pequeno almoço e extraordinário.
Esperamos voltar.

Não tenho palavras para um descrição que faça justiça a um tão Majestoso Hotel. Já considero a minha "segunda casa" e não foi à toa que lá estive 2 fins de semana seguidos ;) Conheço muitos Hotéis de 5* mas como este não há igual. Staff maravilhoso, divertido , relaxado com alguma formalidade não excessiva. Gastronomia ao mais alto nível não fosse ele o Chef Ljubomir Stanisic. Spa relaxante e lindo. As massagens são fabulosas. Os jardins lindos e muito bem cuidados. Os quartos têm uma vista fabulosa para o Rio Douro e com tudo o que podemos precisar. Só penso em voltar novamente. Obrigada. Parabéns por existirem e por nos mimarem tão bem :)

Las instalaciones tanto comunes como de las propias habitaciones son espectaculares. Calidad en todos los elementos, diseño bonito y bien cuidado. Limpieza perfecta y todo tipo de servicios disponibles.
Lo único un poco negativo es que el personal es excesivamente atento, por un lado eso está muy bien, pero en algún momento o casos concretos puede resultar un poco excesivo e incluso invasivo. En cualquier caso, un servicio de personal magnífico.
Aunque es obvio que es un hotel exclusivo, los precios de algunos productos o servicios tienen un coste desproporcionado.
Pese a todo, una experiencia de estancia absolutamente recomendable.

I thought that our stay was excellent. Every member of staff was superb. Faultless service from everyone that we had contact with. The quality of the food and amenities were equally excellent. The Spa services were as good as I have experienced.

Incrível, Fabuloso, extraordinário, and so on, and so on...
Quarto topo com todas as comodidades que se espera a este nível, somando algumas boas surpresas... amenities muito muito bons...
Jantar de nível supremo, ingredientes de alta qualidade e mão na cozinha...Pessoal conhecedor e atento sem estar sempre a incomodar.
A única coisa menos boa foi a qualidade da carne no prato. Penso que a margem nos Vinhos mais caros deveria ser bem inferior, estimulando o seu consumo.
Pequeno almoço Maravilha...bem apresentado e com tudo o que podíamos pensar...
Local espectacular, embora com a vista para a Régua, não se possa fazer milagres...
SPA muito muito bom...e a atenção aos detalhes eleva sempre a outro patamar
Staff sempre pronto a ajudar e com aquele sorriso que te faz sentir em casa...o que não é fácil em locais como este. Sem serem invasivos estão sempre presentes.
Sem dúvida vale cada centavo...embora sejam precisos muitos...Ou eu é que tenho poucos... também pode ser isso!

This was one of the most outstanding stays we have ever had at a resort. The property is beautiful, the rooms and beds are so comfortable, the spa is wonderful and the focus on wine kept us very happy. The personal touch of Nick the general manager as well as every staff member made our stay. In particular Acácio was outstanding, his knowledge and friendliness and our trip even more special. Davide in the wine bar was also wonderful, knowledgeable and a joy to talk to. Paulo our bellman was a wealth of knowledge and so friendly. The whole team was outstanding. And the food is absolutely perfect, breakfast in particular was a delight but dinner was also top notch. We can’t wait to come back.

Fantastic hotel and location....spa was amazing.
The only small negative would be that the the people at the front desk didn’t seem to know much about the region and so weren’t really able to recommend sites to visit besides the famous attractions.

I wished we had stayed longer!!! This resort and location are fabulous. The staff are very accommodating and very helpful prior to and during our stay. The food was heavenly as were the wine pairings and tastings. We will be visiting again in the near future and highly recommend this resort and location to everyone.

Great stay! The best hotel we have ever been. It is our second time there and we sure plan to come back. Improvement is the food in.Vale Abrão, very good looking but the flavors arent there. There is always one flavor that overcomes the entire dish.Additionally there isnt any traditional Portuguese dish that tastes like Portuguese cuisine.

This is one of the best hotels in the Douro region. Absolutely amazing! Rooms are big and very well equipped and kept. The SPA is great, with a big swimming pool and diferente steam and water treatments. Outdoor pool is amazing and great use in the summer time. 5 star service with the right amount of informality. Top!

My husband and I just celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary this week at Six Senses Douro Valley. The experience we had was nothing less than spectacular. The staff made our stay beyond special. This property is magical made up of a wonderful team of caring people and of course the staff dog Agua. I was sad leaving but happy knowing I can one day return.

A bit too corporate for my taste. Grounds and property are beyond gorgeous but interior very corporate like a nice Hyatt type property. Very little authentic character. Staff went above and beyond for us however including going out of their way helping with their tech support team to fix our computer that suddenly stopped working. There were however inconsistencies with service. Some went way above and beyond and some weren't as knowledgeable. Overall pleasant experience but not quite what I was expecting from a six senses property

Te only reason why I'm rating my stay as adequate and not very good was because of an issue we had with the heating. Both ours and our parents' rooms were so hot during our first night, that we simply couldn't sleep. Worse, our baby got sick. Despite being unable to sleep my parents didn't bother complaining, but warned someone in the staff nthe very next morning. Yet no one informed the manager. On the other hand, we first warned the hotel there was an issue at 9PM, and asked them to please take it seriously as our 4 month old daughter was staying in the room with us. Not only did my husband have to call reception several times, but at 5AM the room suddenly became very cold, which caused our baby to fall ill. Even though I requested to speak to manager, no one bothered to contact me and only when I expressed my surprise at such lack of interest did the manager come to see me. She couldn't have been nicer (just like everyone else in the hotel), but when our bill was amended we only got 50% off on our first night. The lack of initiative or real concern became even more obvious at hotel's attempt to make some money even when they knew that their guests hadn't slept and that a baby became ill due to their carelessness. I'm not very into conflicts and decided to drop it but having family working in the hospitality industry I was very unimpressed. We heard many excuses regarding the air-con system... I'd suggest you simply fix it and should it happen again, show your guests a bit more of sympathy.

All in all very good. Careful thought - on Christmas day the ''Bacalhau'' was not fresh . You have so soak it in ICY water and change it often. It wasn't! It had developed a bad taste and smell. Sign of the times: Loads of Chefs and very few Cooks. In the land where it's the national dish you can't afford to be lax about it.

This was my first ever visit to Portugal and I was so impressed with my first stop - Porto.
However nothing prepared me for the Six Senses Douro Valley. The hotel is simply perfect. I loved the welcoming atmosphere with subdued lighting that magnificently offset the gorgeous views.
My room was lovely - a tranquil haven with rich touches of gold. Best of all was the bed. I have not slept through the night for many years. Here, I did. So thank you for that. Nice amenities too.
The breakfast was amazing and next time, I hope to sample the wine and cheese pairings/tastings!
I must also mention the spa. I had two treatments - a massage and a facial. Both were really special, administered by two therapists who clearly are very well trained and professional. I felt great after both spa sessions.
Last but not least, the team at SSDV is fantastic. Everyone was so warm, polite and friendly. Superb service.
I hope to visit you again soon and get out and about in the vineyards and on the river.

Wonderful experience from arrival until departure. The staff went above and beyond and was very friendly and thoughtful. The hotel was extremely well maintained. Taking advantage of this space, and since I forgot to inform the staff, there was an electrical outlet in the bed frame that was not working (room 404).
The spa experience was from another world.
Best hotel I have ever stayed in.

A perfect place full of great food, wine, and wonderful staff. You could spend a week their every year of your life and have no regrets about it. See it in all the seasons, and if possible try to include a meal at DOC during your visit.

Our experience at Six Senses Duoro Valley was like no other we’ve ever had. We are seasoned world travelers and have very high standards. From the ambiance the moment you walk through the reception doors, to the beautiful culinary display every morning for breakfast, to the amazing design/decor of every room and hallway at the property, to the high level of personal service given by every staff member who makes you feel as if you’re in their home, to the delicious food served in bar for snacks and especially in the restaurant for dinner (including the sommelier’s recommendations for wine), to the lovely onsite artist who spent time with us for tile painting - this was the most memorable, relaxing and special vacation we’ve ever enjoyed. As if all of this wasn’t enough, the gift of being surrounded by the magnificent beauty of the entire property and the breathtaking views/scenery - it was very hard to leave. Thank you for an unforgettable experience.

There is nothing you need to change about Your Hotel. It is perhaps the best hotel experience years of travel. The internet was fast enough to allow streaming of my sling box in HD from Los Angeles, the food was excellent but most of all your staff was friendly, enthusiastic, and well informed. I can not recommend Your Hotel high enough. Great job.

The Douro Valley is simply gorgeous and the most fantastic Hotel Six Senses Douro Valley in this placew is amazing. Besides the 50 rooms at the hotel is also have 5 apartments and 2 vilas with private pool. For a more private stay and more wonderful experiences with an outoftheordinary river view. Because life is meant to be enjoyed. It is for me the best hotel all arround the world ! Visit this beautiful valley with an amazing hotel and enjoy all your senses .
