Stayed there last year with Jet2 holidays, loved the hotel and pool.
Returning next month with jet2 for a 10 day stay to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary... really looking forward to it!
Alvor is a resort which is not over developed and reasonable quiet with excellent restaurants.

The staff. They were particularly welcoming. Even sent a bottle of bubbly for my wifes birthday, which they noted on registration.

Solo un cliente haciendo el check-in y tuvimos que esperar más de 15 minutos (que no parece demasiado si hubiera habido jaleo, pero después de un viaje de 9 horas se hizo eterno) La habitación helada y húmeda, estuvimos en abril del 2019 y parece que ha estado cerrada desde el verano y no han querido "gastar" en calentarla para que estuviese medianamente habitable.
Las instalaciones están muy bien. Hay limpieza y orden. El desayuno abundante (el zumo no es zumo, es agua con algun sabor). Personal amable y atento.

Un hotel de costa, bonito y con excelentes vistas. las habitaciones son enormes, con un concepto más de apartamento que de habitación de hotel propiamente dicha, por lo que estamos hablando de un apartahotel. Visitado fuera de temporada, las habitaciones no tenían el suficiente grado limpieza que se puede esperar de la lujosidad anaja. Hay que tener cuidado con las plazas de aparcamiento en el exterior que están en malas condiciones.

Good location for Alvor village but a good bit from the beach.A car is handy for getting around the area.A few more beds at the pool wouldnt go a miss.

Not a place to bring children-nothing for them outside except the pool and when it rains nothing for them or adults inside either. Although it’s very clean and the rooms are very spacious a lot of maintenance needs to be done such as fix door locks/balcony door hinges broken/ kitchen doors peeling etc. also it’s quite a walk to Centre of Alvor and the extravagant prices of taxis mean walking it has to be.

We had a studio apt with a big balcony and a garden and pool view.The apt was a good size with air con and with a well fitted out kitchen which we only used for tea/coffee but there was a kettle,coffee maker,microwave,hob,oven and large fridge.Breakfast was good with continental and english all good.Its approx a 20 min walk to the restaurants,shops and beach which was ok for us.

Disgusting!!!
Just returned from an 11 night stay with my husband and am sorry to say we wouldn't return.
Having stayed here in the past we expected it would be of the same standard.
However, the hotel is looking very tired and dirty especially the pool and children's pool which was full of dead insects. The grout was black around all the tiles which is not acceptable and very worrying .
It obviously hasn't been cleaned in quite some time.
The furniture in the foyer looked dirty and worn as did our bathroom suite.
If that wasn't bad enough the fire alarm was faulty so kept going off throughout the night.
It happened several times during our stay.
So disappointed to have spent so much of our hard earned money on this hotel.

Rubbish sleep every night. The beds are positioned against the wall that next doors air con unit is installed meaning you get a constant buzz all night like a jet engine...being a light sleeper having the worst nights sleep ever. Our own Aircon unit failed after 2 days
.. working one minute and broke the next meaning trying to get to sleep in 24 degree heat. Won't be stopping again.. ignore the reviews saying quiet area... Would rather sleep next door to the airport.

This place is well worth it's 4stars. Apartments are terrific very spacious with everything you need. Pool is great with plenty loungers and is a very peaceful place to enjoy the suns rays.

This was our second stay at Luna Alvor Village and we loved it. Our apartment was spotless, had all the facilities we needed, the bed was so comfortable, all of the staff were happy and helpful and the maids came every day, if you wished. We will recommend this complex to all our friends and family and happily stay there again. ;) xxx

Nice relaxing hotel with friendly staff. Good WiFi in room and plenty of English channels to watch. There is no entertainment in hotel or games room. No food after 4pm. New sun beds are needed around pool. Charging for towels or safe is a bit much.

Horário de piscina muito limitado, os pequenos almoços são acessíveis. Mas com toda a minha experiência no mesmo a minha carteira acabou por desaparecer com documentos importantes.

Fab hotel. Very modern, spacious and clean. Well equipped apartments. Very quiet at night. Few minutes walk to town. Supermarket around the corner. Lovely staff. Great for couples or families. I would recommend.

Excelente hotel, tem parque privativo. Fica a cerca de 15 minutos a pé do centro de Alvor. A recepção é bem grande e espaçosa, super moderna. A piscina fica ali bem perto e a vista é belíssima. O staff é atencioso e acolhedor.

Love this hotel visited here with family and it has everything you could need, breakfast was standard and could not fault it one bit and the snack bar was there on hand for any afternoon cocktails around the pool we will be looking to visit again x

Sehr große und saubere Zimmer. Das Hotel macht einen ausgezeichneten Eindruck und kann guten Gewissens weiterempfohlen werden. 15 min laufen und man ist im Zentrum von Alvor mit vielen Restaurants.

A nice aparthotel, good value for money. Probably in need of a bit of tlc in places but very clean and tidy. Large pool clean but cold kids pool could be a ittle cleaner. Staff very nice but bar staff a little comatose. A 15 minutes walk into Alvor

Rundherum war alles stimmig, und der Service insgesamt sehr gut. Das einzige, was ich anmerken möchte, ist, dass es keinen Busshuttle mehr gibt zum Strand und in den Ort. Man benötigt 30 Min. zu Fuß zum Strand. Das müsste zukünftig mit angegeben werden.

Needs a face lift. Staff at breakfast absolutely lovely and friendly as are the girls who clean the rooms. Pity the reception staff are unhelpful, won't go out of their way to help at all. We wanted to pay to keep our son and daughter in laws room because they have a baby.... Wouldn't bend an inch bear in mind we didn't go into our room until 10 at night. Will think very carefully before going again. VINCE reception sarcastic and rude.

Unfortunately we thought this place was not 4 star. It was tired and felt like the end of season. Complaints about items not working in the apartment were not deelt with. On the plus side it was a quiet place and the breakfast was good.

Great hotel, very clean, helpful staff. Rooms very big as was the bathroom and balcony. Breakfast varied choice. This was my third stay at this hotel. It is just on the edge of the town, so a nice walk back after a meal. The town is small and during the day full of locals and at night it comes alive with restaurants and bars and music. Lovely safe atmosphere.

First time and it was worth it! Very nice rooms with kitchenette and restroom. Nice swimming pools. Only thing I would suggest would be to have a snack service after 5pm.

Rooms spacious and well equipped.The enormous balcony was brilliant as it had sun all afternoon and well into the evening . Well cleaned plus the bathroom toiletries were a bonus . Staff courteous and incredibly helpful especially at the reception desk .The breakfasts were fresh and offered a good selection of foods .Being a smaller hotel there were no queues or waiting times for any of the facilities .Definitely would return if visiting Alvor again .

Fantastic place to stay, has its own pool which we didnt use as we are beach people. Bed and Breakfast only here which suited us as we lime to try local restaurants. The breakfast was buffet style and had a grrwat selection and good quality. The beach is a leisurely 20 minute walk and is wonderful. There is a local supermarket (5 minute walk) which has a cafe / bakery in it. The Portuguese tarts were 50p!!! And a filled roll was £2!!! On the way to the beach thru the main street was a artisan bakery / cafe which was our regular coffee stop! Definitely recommend and defo going back there!

Maravilhosa vista para a piscina e uma grande varanda. Bonito quarto e boa limpeza do studio. Excelente pequeno almoço! Falta exaustão na WC, o que provoca danos de humidade nalguns móveis.
Muita simpatia das funcionárias. No último dia guardaram-nos as malas até final da tarde. A repetir.

Lovely, contemporary hotel, with excellent, well-appointed rooms. The rooms have a good-sized kitchen and dining area to cook your meals (there is a supermarket about 5 min walk away), a large lounge area and sleeping area with wardrobes. We had a pool view room, but as we were further down the view was mostly of the deserted area to the left of the pool, no big deal though, as the balconies are huge.
I've seen some complaints about seagulls using the pool to cool off but I think we only saw one solitary seagull the whole week we were there -
maybe they've been "dealt with"?!
The pool itself is of a fair size and the smaller children's pool is perfect for those with little nippers. The only thing I would say is that the water is freezing in the morning and only really feels warmer towards the end of the day (we were there in August).
The hotel is about a 15 minute walk into the main part of Alvor, which is a really nice little town with cobbled streets and enough good quality restaurants to satisfy most people's tastes.
All in all a great place to stay, we're already looking into booking up for next year :-)

Appartement spacieux mais nécessiterait un coup de rafraichissement. Accueil parfait en français. Petit déjeuner mitigé... Pas beaucoup de choix pour l instant. On est là depuis 1 jour. Trajet de l aéroport de Faro plus d une heure.

The hotel is nice but location is not the best, 10 mins walk to town and about 15 mins to the beach. There is nothing of interest around the hotel, which was a little disappointing. The restaurant closes after 16, so evenings are very quiet, it would be nice with some atmosphere in the bar in the evenings for families like ours with young kids. Cleaning every day, but the bathroom really needs a deep clean, stains on door and walls and grouting dirty. Must say the staff are really friendly and helpful so they are an asset to the hotel. Overall a good experience.

Las habitaciones son amplias y disponen de todo lo necesario para facilitar tu estancia allí: menaje de cocina, cubiertos, vasos, platos, copas, batidora, microondas, horno...Sin embargo, el mantenimiento no es el adecuado y pueden ocasionar problemas para la seguridad de los niños. Nosotros nos alojamos en una habitación donde había una puerta falsa (separación de la entrada con el dormitorio principal ) que se encontraba sin ninguna fijación al techo ni al suelo. Yo agarre el pomo y casi me la echo en lo alto . No paso nada pero podría haber ocurrido ya que las medidas de esa puertaque va desde el suelo hasta el techo (hace como de tabique separador) son aproximadamente 2,30 de alto por 1 m de ancho. Si lo abre un niño podría haberse echo mucho daño... Lo avisamos y nos cambiaron de habitación pero tuvimos que avisarlo nosotros .Por otro lado, queda un pequeño hueco entre el suelo y la puerta de la entrada de la habitación. No tiene ningún sistema de protección ni aislamiento al suelo y tiene filos cortantes del mismo hierro de la puerta. Mi hijo al abrir ( tiene 3 años) le paso la puerta por encima del pie y le hizo una herida en los deditos . En resumen el hotel esta bien , pero para los que tenemos hijos la seguridad es lo principal y ahí nos decepcionó bastante

Para um Hotel de 4 Estrelas apresenta algumas deficiências nos quartos: lâmpadas fundidas, secador avariado, TV mal dimensionada e com péssima imagem. O check Out é às 11:00 da manhã, o que não compreendi para mais nesta altura do ano. Hotel a não repetir seguramente.

Beautiful apartments we had a 2 bed which was on the top floor it had a huge outside area. Sadly the jacuzzi wasn't operational. Staff were all friendly and the breakfast and lunches they served were really good. It has a decent pool area with plenty of sunbeds. The only draw back was it was quite a trek to the main area but only €5 in a taxi

The family apartment is a good size. Additional sitting room seating would help improve it and better quality fittings. There was a lack of sockets. Reception staff very good. Bar seemed to be closing for winter, there was no beer on tap and no cold wine and very slow service.

Quiet area of Alvor but only 10-15 minutes pleasant walk from the old town centre. Excellent spacious rooms with all amenities you could want. Recommend taking the breakfast option which was very good and can be enjoyed fro the outside terrace.Not a good choice for young children due to location, especially if you want to be near the beach/amenities.

I must say our stay in Alvor was very relaxing and enjoyable. We found the whole atmosphere of the area to pleasant and friendly.The hotel was very modern and the staff very friendly and helpful.I will be returning for another stay again.Overall very hapy with our holiday.

Our family stayed in Luna Alvor Village dor 10 days. The staff were lovely {especially Claudia},the pool was a good size and the selection for brekfast was fantastic. We had a studio apartment with a pool view and the room itself was modern and well equipped. This is a great family friendly hotel especially if you have young kids. Would be very happy to stay here again.

Really nice hotel with large studio accomodation. We had room on ground floor which is raised overlooking the pool area. We had sun on the balcony in the morning. The pool area was very nice with plenty of sun beds. Most people take away their towels when not using them but there are always some people are less considerate. Massage services are available beside the pool which I would recommend. Really nice easy going atmosphere for couples looking for a relaxing holiday or families with young children. Probably not for teenagers or twenty-somethings looking for action or clubbing atmosphere. Would go back again.

Das Hotel ist schön gelegen, etwas abseits vom Trubel. Zu Fuß ist man innerhalb von 5 Minuten beim nächsten Einkaufsmarkt und in 10 Minuten mitten in Alvor. Zum schönen Strand sind wir mit unserem Leihwagen gefahren, zu Fuß dürften das so 20 Minuten sein. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, das Frühstück war ok. Wir hatten ein Studio mit großem Balkon, Blick in den Garten und seitlichem Blick auf den Parkplatz. Wir würden wieder Urlaub dort machen. Am Strand fanden wir es sehr nett bei "o Tobias".

Wir wurden sehr nett an der Rezeption empfangen und durften das Hotel bereits vor der eigentlichen Check-In Zeit benutzen.Die Bauweise ist offen und modern, sodaß man sich gleich wohl fühlt.Das Studio ist schön groß, mit seitl. Meeresblick (in etwa 2 km). Die Küche ist mit grossem Kühlschrank, Herd, Mikrowelle und Geschirr super ausgestattet.Die Strände an der Mittelalgarve sind herrlich.

the hotel was excellent, clean and spacious accommodation. Breakfast menu was varied and of excellent quality. The staff were polite and helpful. nothing was too much trouble. Altogether an excellent location a pleasant 15 minute walk from the port.

Beautiful hotel in a great little town. A bit further from the beach than most hotels, but that keeps out the annoying crowd!
