Ho visitato, per degustare, molte quinta lungo il Douro. Ero ospite di una di queste. Il problema che ho riscontrato con la mia furtiva mio malgrado, esperienza della rinomata Quinta de la Rosa è stato un trattamento superficiale, poco accomodante e freddo, oltre ad un prezzo esageratanente alto per la sola e semplice degustazione. Come se dessi fastidio, davvero una brutta sensazione. Da Ligure, conosco bene di cosa sto parlando. I vini degustati erano buoni, non c'è da discuterne, ma il resto, lascia davvero da desiderare. Non sono un tipo Fashon, giravo per lavoro e forse il mio abbigliamento da "Furgone" che era pieno di vini acquistati dagli altri, forse non era consono per l'ambiente moderno e kool. Posteggiato il mio Transit bianco, entro dalla reception superiore, domandando per fare una degustazione. Devo scordarmi la visita alla cantina dato che non la ho prenotata anticipatanente, ma pace, mi posso accontentare. Vengo squadrato e analizzato per poi ricevere la risposta: può provare a domandare di sotto al ristorante. Forse per un assaggio, la fanno entrare. Mi fanno accomodare. Mi servono e su mia richiesta, dato che sono alla guida, di servirmi poco vino da degustare vengo accontentato. Pagare per 1/3 di porzione di porto, dai 7 ai 9 euro a calice è davvero tanto. Se penso al basso stipendio della manovalanza locale, e al costo di una singola bottiglia, mi rattrista pensare allo sfruttamento che svolgono queste aziende, sulle persone. Le foto parlano da sole. Personale ne freddo ne accomodante. Diciamo come il clima esterno, piovoso. Consiglio, prenotate prima e vestitevi bene con camicia stirata e pantaloni eleganti. Ah, la giacca, non quechua, mi raccomando.

Começamos com a paisagem ao qual o o Douro nos já habituou, alias a estrada nacional 222 que nos leva até a Quinta de Lá Rosa e fantástica o Rio Douro acompanha-nos só as vistas falam por si depois a pequena varanda com vista sobre o Rio para mim sem palavras e por fim pode-se fazer uma degustação de vinhos. sito a voltar e quem sabe pernoitar ♥️

Nice place, beautiful location, pool was closed. Their restaurant has nice food but they only serve quarter glasses of wine. Must be a wine shortage in the area. The place down the road didn't have trouble finding any though.

Estaba todo muy rico, pero el precio quiza un poco excesivo. A pesar de ser una bodega de vino producen una cerveza riquisima, merece la pena probarla.

Fizemos a visita com almoço seleção do chefe vinhos reserva. A visita foi medíocre, impessoal, em jeito de débito de informação, sem qualquer envolvimento. O almoço no restaurante foi compensador pela vista, pela decoração do espaço, pela simpatia do staff, pela qualidade e originalidade da seleção de pratos servidos. Falta explicação sobre composição dos vinhos, notas de prova, motivo da seleção e harmonização com o prato.

Staff muito acolhedor, simpático e divertido. Deixam um à vontade naturalissimo para que tudo seja mais fluido. As vinhas são gigantescas e é impossivel cá vir sem as ver(inclusive o Vale do Inferno). Mais do que recomendado... É aconselhado!! Impossivel é não cá vir.

Staff might be retarded, or at least does not know the time. Calling them and asking for opening times give conflicting information. Even the waiters in the restaurant give opening times to the wineshop wrong.

Located by the river with stunning views. Great food and service. We are outside in the garden, due to lovely weather. A must visit when venturing around Pinhão

Great views of the Douro river and hills on the other side of the river from the balconies of the rooms. We also enjoyed a swimming pool, a hiking trail going through the vineyard above the hotel and a dinner in the restaurant of the hotel.

Great tour and tasting, even better dinner at Couzinha da Clara! Really excellent and great value food in a beautiful setting.

Beautiful position climbed over the Douro river and nice facilities immersed in the terraces vineyard of the region. Excellent simple restaurant serving a modern interpretation of Portuguese classics. Staff is smiling, attentive but not intrusive. The only issue has been a bad smell coming from the AC system.

The restaurant is fantastic. The hotel could really do with some work, maintenance is poor, the rooms are very basic, and I would expect much more from the service. The wine tasting we very functional and only offered their most basic wines, really not showing the range or style of the house. Overall a very corporate feel. The property is very spread out and bitty, the isn't a feel of "hotel", reception is really just the wine shop and opened for the same short hours. It can be a long walk with many stairs to reach the rooms.

Came twice for lunch. Really delicious view with an amazing view of the river. We really loved the water misters to help us cool off in the heat. My favorites were the tomato soup and beetroot salad.

Che posto indimenticabile. L'atmosfera è bellissima, molto rilassante, con la vista che spazia sul Douro e i vigneti circostanti. Camere semplici ma belle, la mia aveva il bagno con due pareti tutte di roccia! Piscina panoramica, e anche possibilità di fare il bagno nel fiume sottostante. Il ristorante è di ottimo livello, con piatti molto curati e ottimi vini di loro produzione in abbinamento. Interessante la visita alle loro cantine con degustazione annessa.

Very expensive wine tasting in the restaurant - impersonal, wines just dumped into glasses with no explanation. Very expensive, and the wines aren’t great. Would not recommend. Assume it’s popular only because it’s close to the village.

So far the best meal we had in Portugal. We had the pig Terrine and a salad to start...excellent. dinner Covina and Pork Loin...perfect. And they offered to tour the facility and taste thier rose, white and red wines, and finish with a 20 year old Tawny.

Hard to fault! Good location, good parking, spacious rooms, great views, impeccable service, good breakfast, expensive but good restaurant - and of course great wine and port. We would highly recommend the tough, but very rewarding hike to the top of the vineyard. We also recommend a train ride up the Douro for the great scenery. However, we suggest a stop different from Freixo/Mos, as it only has one café/restaurant and they close to the public when they get a tour in. In that case, there’s little to do in the three or four hours between trains. Perhaps Vesuvio is a better option. Downsides of the Quinta? Everything, except the wine, is rather expensive. And the plumbing is noisy. But that’s all.

We, perhaps stupidly, did not book ahead at any wineries and just hoped that it being a slow season would mean there'd be room. And boy did we luck out here! We were squeezed onto a tour that had started just a few minutes earlier (with one other couple) and it was one of the most relaxed and informative tours I've ever done. Our guide was knowledgeable, generous, and so so helpful. The location is beautiful and the wine itself was WONDERFUL. I'm so glad we found this magical place!

My wife and I stayed at Quinta de La Rosa for one night in August. The place was immaculate and everything I imagined the Douro to be. The views were incredible. While I did not take a picture of the pool, I think there are others on the internet that do it justice. Definitely feels secluded, private, and it is beautiful. If you plan on participating in one of the tours, make sure you sign up early as there are small Viking Cruises and others from around the area that may book up the tours. Definitely would stay again.

Great place for wine tasting and lunch. The food was delicious and so was the wine. The view is breathtaking.

Très mal reçus :-( Nous sommes arrêtés à la Quinta de La Rosa lors d'un roadtrip d'une journée dans la vallée de Douro le 27 septembre 2019. Les avis positifs lus sur Google ont motivé notre choix d'arrêter à cet endroit pour soit faire une visite ou pour prendre le lunch et déguster quelques portos. Nous n'avions pas de réservation, mais avons pris la chance d'arrêter et de s'informer. Nous sommes peut-être tombés sur la seule personne désagréable qui travaille à cet endroit, mais l'homme qui était présent à la réception nous a regardé comme si nous étions des extra terrestres, nous demandant même ce que nous faisions là!!! C'était clair que nous ne pourrions pas faire de visite... Alors nous lui avons demandé si c'était possible de manger au restaurant situé sur le site... Il nous a répondu sèchement que ce n'était pas lui qui s'occupait de cela et que c'était à nous d'aller voir... Euhhhh, nous avons juste déguerpi!!! On se sentait tellement mal à l'aise et vraiment pas bienvenus :-( Nous avons été chaleureusement accueilli à la Quinta Do Bomfin par les membre du personnel qui, bien qu'il était trop tard pour profiter d'une visite, nous ont préparé une dégustation sur leur magnifique terrasse directement sur la rive du Douro. Ils ont pris la peine de nous présenter leurs différents produits et de répondre à toutes nos questions. Nous ne retournerons jamais à la Quinta de la Rosa, c'est l'endroit où nous avons été le plus mal reçu de tout notre voyage de trois semaines au Portugal!!!

Péssimo atendimento. Mau staff. Quartos a cheirar a mofo. O jantar foi óptimo, porém queriam-nos vender um dos vinhos produzidos na quinta ao triplo do preço a que encontramos em Lisboa!! Tivemos que optar por um da concorrencia (bem melhor, diga-se de passagem). Atendimento no pequeno almoço péssimo, sem saberem a arte de servir os hóspedes. Têm muito a aprender com os "vizinhos". Não me apanham lá outra vez. Terrible attendance. Bad staff. Rooms smelling of mildew. The dinner was great, but they wanted us to buy one of the wines produced by them at triple the price we found in Lisbon!! We had to opt for one of the competition (much better, by the way). Poor breakfast service without knowing the art of serving guests. They have a lot to learn from the "neighbors". They won't get me there again.

Winery tour unavailable because of a private event- no big deal. But then we wanted to try a few wines from the shop and apparently not possible either (?) Too bad, we were going to buy a few cases to bring back home. Very bad experience we even cancelled our lunch booking.

The drive to this village was very beautiful and very scenic. Apart from a few tailgaters, that is. Portugal seems to have her fair share of those. Upon arriving in this village, we used our GPS to navigate to the property. I must say that once or twice I was not sure we were on the right track, since we had to go under a bridge and through a blind curve without being able to tell what was on the other side of the curve. But, we persevered and did in fact make it to the hotel. Our instructions said to turn into the driveway with the eagles on the posts. In fact, both entrances have eagles on posts at the gate. We turned in at the first one, into a small parking lot with tight spaces, but we did find a spot. After parking, we went into the lobby, which also serves as a starting/ending point for wine tours. After completing the paperwork, the receptionist walked us to our room and briefed us on our accommodation. I understand that the rooms have names, and I believe ours was named 'Jack'. At any rate, it was the farthest away from the lobby and hence also from the dining room. It was also closest to the road behind the hotel and it also shared a wall with an outdoor BBQ/Bar/outdoor dining area. When we walked up it was near 5 PM, and the staff was just cleaning up for the day. They were playing rap/hip-hop through a PA system, much to my dismay. How long were we going to have to listen to that? The door to our room was just three or four steps from this patio area, and I told this receptionist that I did not like the location and would prefer another room. She told me that we had gotten the last room, and besides that BBQ area would not be open at night so there would be no problem. So, we had no choice but to stay. The receptionist showed us how to operate the air conditioning, cautioned us not to leave the window open in the room because of mosquitos and then gave us a key and departed. The room itself was big enough, with ample closets and exactly enough outlets to charge cell phones. The bathroom was large and well laid out. We have no complaints about the room itself. We did hear road noise at night but not much. The walls in the rooms are sort of thin, and we could hear the people in the room next door chatting rather loudly. Since our room was the highest point on the property, we could easily see the river. But, we had to close our curtain at night because of the street lights just below our room and because of the other guest rooms below us. We could also hear other guests at a level below us, sitting outside, drinking wine and talking rather loudly. We had dinner at the restaurant the first night compliments of the hotel because they had no other rooms available. My wife and I each had the special consisting of grilled steak and potatoes. I was not impressed. I asked for my steak to be cooked medium rare, and what I got was blood rare. Not my style at all. Because it was free, I make no fuss. We ate breakfast here two mornings, and it was satisfactory. This hotel rates only three stars because of the thinness of the walls, the tightness of the parking lot and the elevator to the dining room being out of service until just before we departed. Would I stay here again? I'm not sure. Maybe in a suite on the water, but nowhere else.

Es una bodega y hotel de gestión familiar, se encuentra en una finca vitivinícola, en la margen derecha del río Duero, a 2 km de Pinhão. Cuenta con una piscina al aire libre. Las suites ofrecen vistas al río y cuentan con una zona de estar con un sofá mullido y minibar. Todas las mañanas se sirve un desayuno bufé. La terraza cubierta, con vistas al río y a los viñedos, es el lugar ideal para disfrutar de una comida.

Nice restaurant just a short hike from Pinhao. Very nice, modern restaurant with good menu and drinks. We sat on the terrace with a great view of the river. Good service. Would recommend for a nice dining experience in Pinhao.

Went here for dinner, fantastic place. Highly recommend the steak, pork and lamb dishes. All food came promptly and the staff were very polite and helpful. We paired dessert with the port they make also which was amazing. Fantastic river views also. €130 for 3 mains, 3 desserts, 2 wines and 2 ports.

De longe a melhor, mas a vista ajuda em tudo! Parque extremamente pequeno, as recepcionistas só querem saber dos computadores, eu e mais carros tivemos para sair do parque durante 30 minutos porque permitiram uma Van de turistas estacionar colado ao portão e ninguém entrava e ninguém saia... dirigimo-nos à recepção e minguem se interessou sequer... casas de banho pequenas e o cheiro no elevador é horrendo... De resto, bom vinho, bom comer e boa paisagem! Vale a pena visitarem uma vez...

Patricia did an excellent job of hosting the wine tasting. My husband and I really enjoyed her tour and she throughly answered many questions. The new tasting area is phenomenal. I love the vibe and view.

Fantastic place, great food, great people, and most importantly, the wine is awesome. Close enough to town to walk and highly recommend doing one of the vineyard hikes. They are also making beer which is quite good. Nice facilities, looking forward to going back during harvest season.

Questa struttura offre molto più che pernottamento e colazione in una struttura meravigliosa. É posizionata in un paesaggio fantastico e Quinta de la Rosa é soprattutto una piccola azienda vinicola. Pagando un prezzo a parte, si può partecipare ad una visita dell'azienda con degustazione dei vini prodotti. C'è un percorso pedonale attraverso le vigne che é possibile fare anche in autonomia (vivamente consigliato!). C'è una bellissima piscina a disposizione dei clienti. Il parcheggio gratuito. La camera e il bagno degni di albergo 5 stelle. La colazione superlativa! Le mie cinque stelle di valutazione valgono per tutti quanto detto fin'ora. L'unica pecca (per la quale comunque non voglio togliere nulla alla recensione) é stata trovare delle formiche nella stanza. Problematica nota e segnalata anche da un foglio informativo messo a disposizione dalla struttura. Rimane comunque sempre poco piacevole soprattutto in una struttura di questo genere (e con questi prezzi)! Sarebbe utile cercare di risolvere in qualche modo. L'esperienza é stata comunque eccellente e consiglierei a tutti i miei conoscenti di pernottare e godere di questa meravigliosa struttura!

I must qualify the slight critique below by saying we had a wonderful time here - the views, breakfast, wine tasting and home made IPA were excellent. The lager cooked lamb (that's right) was one of the most tender pieces of meat I have ever eaten. However, the place is sold on being a family run business at which you are a guest - refusing to top the water in our room was startingly lazy on the part of the host. Not letting us bring the wine we'd bought from them in the room to dinner was tight - they already take a lot from us for the stay, no need to profit further at every opportunity. Overall I would recommend quinta de la rosa, but they would do well to remember the kindness that forms an essential aspect of true hospitality.

Mis à part les fourmis dans la chambre, nous étions ravis...jusqu'à ce que nous recontactions l'hôtel 2 jours après notre séjour pour demander à l'équipe s'ils avaient trouvé un bracelet perdu par notre fille dans la chambre. Réponse positive (super) mais on nous a demandé de payer 25 euros pour nous le renvoyer alors que nous avons laissé 500 euros de facturation. Très très limite.

Très bel endroit familiale pour profiter du Duro. Tranquille le soir, resto exceptionnel, vin de grande qualité et tous les gens très serviables. Notre seul petit hic a été que le bbq du mardi se tient sur une terrace qui était adjacente à notre chambre. Donc c’était bruyant jusqu’à 21:30. (Et ce soir là nous étions rentrés plus tôt) Donc si votre chambre n’est pas Eleanor, tout serait parfait.

Pinhão is in the heart of wine making in Duoro Valley. And Quinta de la Rosa has arguably the best views in the Valley. Staying on a working winery was cool, the rooms were unique (we stayed in two), the swimming pools refreshing (it was hot), and the restaurant is very good (as well as the wine -- try the Passagem reserva red). From star gazing, to the walking trails, and being dead quiet at night, it was a great "home" from which to explore the valley.

With an absolutely breathtaking location - Quinta de la Rosa offers serenity and tranquility. The accommodation is unique and very comfortable - I couldn’t take my eyes off the view! Wonderful location can’t wait to be back!

I have never walked in such a beautiful place in my life as to what I have just experienced at Quinta de La Rosa. As you arrive, you're welcomed with the rolling hills and vineyards and the views that only bring your mind at ease with life. I had flown in from London for a weekend, and I am now back in the bustling city feeling filled up by the beauty of the experience I just had here. The family of this place can be felt amongst your experience, and I cannot thank the staff more for their warm welcome and hospitality. If you are seeking silence the noise of nature and most of all, the delicious wine we sipped overlooking the river, taking in the real beauty of Portugal's countryside. Thank you, and I cannot wait to come back and bring others to share the experience I've just lived.

Tried to visit today after confirming via email that I can show up any time from 10 to 17 at my convenience. When I came at the specified time there was nobody in the "visitors" center and everything was locked. I knocked in every door and finally somebody answered that they are closed for the break and won't be open for another hour. There were no clear signs where to go and not enough parking spots. Terrible experience!

Wow, we had lunch here today. Great food great service. The chef sent out an amuse-bouche to welcome us. We split a wonderful crispy sardine starter, Cabrito main dish, and a cream brulee. Wines were great. Service was impeccable.

Just put it on your list for a visit or an overnight! Lovely rooms, great location, friendly staff, lovely restaurant for evening and breakfast.

Teilweise wird noch gebaut (kein Lärm) Tolles Restaurant Meine Empfehlung Tawny 20 ãnos :) Die Tour für 14€ ist auch ok aber nicht die beste, da nicht vom Winzer direkt durchgeführt sondern von einer „normalen“ Mitarbeiterin. Da fehlte leider viel Wissenswertes, was andere Touren bieten konnten. Aber nichtsdestotrotz tolles Anwesen mit gutem Wein und tollem Restaurant.

Stunning location above the river looking over gorgeous vineyards and terraces. The lunch menu had excellent variety and the food was divine. Highly recommend the oxtail ravioli if it’s available!

Historic winery, stayed here for one night, good wines and friendly staff. Just enough wine for tasting, they could give a little more. Rooms were nice and clean with a good sight on the river and Pinhão itself. The food at the restaurant really was amazing (we had the beef), perfect combination with a La Rosa Reserva red wine.

We were staying at the Vintage hotel and heard the restaurant was good. While the staff and wine were nice, unfortunately the food was inedible and for the first time in a restaurant I sent a meal back. Go for the wine and the view but stay away from the food. And not to mention it is quite overrated and overpriced. My worst meal in years.

The room and bathroom are spacious and pretty acceptable. Comfortable being able to park right behind the pool. Don't think it's acceptable to charge (at least not in full) hotel guests for the tour and the tasting. The newly opened restaurant is not worth a visit except for the view and service, the food quality is unfortunately only mediocre at best.

The place is quite cheap. Plastic floors, not any proper sitting in the room may be some of them. There is not available hook in the bathroom. Poor breakfast menu, no egg, but worst is coffee ! They are charging extra almost everything. To have dinner could be a mistake.

We only went to the newly open restaurant. Extremely good and delicate food and great service. However, it is extremely pricy especially the wine which was about the same price than what we pay in Canada for same bottle, but we have taxes over regular prices.

Une bonne visite de la propriété, des explications assez complètes sur l'ensemble du process de production du Porto et une dégustation de 4 vins. Les 16 euros demandés sont plutôt justifiés. Un excellent resto vient d'ouvrir avec une magnifique vue sur la vallée, demandez à la réception il n'est pas visible.

Absolutely impeccable wine experience. Loved every moment of it!! Tasting and tour was slightly more expensive than anticipated but good value in the end.

What a wonderful experience we had with vintage and reserve tasting/tour and an incredible lunch afterwards at their new Claire's Kitchen restaurant. By choosing the nicer tasting, we received private tour with Andrea who was fantastic! The estate is spectacular and the tasting room and restaurant modern and newly remodeled. The food was clearly prepared by an incredible chef! Thank you Quinta de la Rosa for one of the most memorable moments of our trip exploring Portugal. Oh, and the vintage 2007 port - a must!!

Coole Weintour mit anschliessender Degustation der Weine, hier hätte ich mir gewünscht das ein bisschen mehr eingeschenkt wird, es war knapp an der Grenze das man den Wein noch degustieren konnte.

Estuvimos preguntando para visitar la bodega y para realizar una cata con la idea de incorporar en la carta de nuestro restaurante alguno de sus vinos, ya que nos los habían recomendado. El trato de la chica de la recepción fue muy poco profesional y con bastante falta de educación, ni tan siquiera levantaba la vista del ordenador cuando nos hablaba. Respondió a nuestras preguntas de mala gana, pero para hablar con su compañera nada más salir nosotros bien que se reía (aparentemente de nosotros) y tenía tiempo para levantar la vista del ordenador. Es una pena que nos llevemos esta impresión de una bodega que te recomienda alguien que sabes que entiende mucho de vinos portugueses por culpa del personal inadecuado de la recepción.

Provei o vindo Tinto "La Rosa" este Natal e achei um vinho excelente, maduro, suave... Recomendo sem qualquer margem de dúvida...! Ainda por coincidência, chamo-me Ricardo Rosa! Eehhe Lol

Não gostei do acondicionamento dos alimentos no pequeno-almoço, a máquina do café tinha má qualidade, a piscina não estava higienizada, e no centro do complexo havia um tratamento de esgotos.

Went there only for the tastings. And although I quite enjoyed to the wines I was expecting another type of service. Guidance through the tastings is normal and they didn't done it. Using port glasses when tasting Douro was also unexpected.

São de provas bem conseguida e vinhos bastante bons. Porém a prova não me pareceu ter sido conduzida da melhor forma.

You could spend hundreds more to get the same view, hospitality, and features some other place. This place is extremely good for its price. View is glorious, 3 meals are offered, pool right by with great lookout, and the people who run it are so nice. 10/10 would go 100 times again. If you want a cheap, Paradise like place, go here. Also their port is nice, but that's just a preference. MAKE SURE WHEN YOU ARRIVE FROM PINHAO TO GET A TAXI UP. Only downside is how far it is by foot from the main city. Still doable but hot. Wasps were kinda annoying but the staff will accommodate if you have and issues.

Good tour, great wine. Generous with the wine tasting (7 bottles). Beautiful location. All in all a day out from Porto. We took the train.

Fantastic place. Love at second sight. Needs some polishing but great views and amazing pool and pool area. Dinner is great value.

We spent a wonderful few days this summer in this idyllic location on the bank of the Douro, an unspoiled part of Portugal just 2 hours from Oporto. The scenery (it is a Unesco heritage site) is breath-taking, and the hospitality at the Quinta de la Rosa is excellent - we were warmly welcomed by proprietor Sophia Bergvist. It is also a treat to sample the wines and ports of this estate, the first to take wine-producing (as well as traditional port) seriously.
