Fantastic villas. Attentive and friendly service from all staff. I couldn't recommend martinhal highly enough.

Visited with my wife, daughter and 2 grandsons in a 4 bed villa with pool. Lots of space inside and very well equiped ... pool fenced off for safety of grandkids as requested. Breakfast buffet was good and staff very patient. Kids Club for 3 year old grandson was well organised and he enjoyed himself. Local golf excellent.

The Martinhal Quinta is great if your kids are between age 2 and 7 ish.Its a shame that the kids club and the pool area are at opposite ends of the resort but its not a problem. Overall the staff are excellent but could do more to organise activities especially on poor weather days

Great family resort with kids club, games room, trampoline, indoor and outdoor pools. Out of peak season, the restaurant is closed in the evenings but there are plenty of places to eat around Quinta do Lago.

Close to perfection for a family with kids, from staff to service and infrastructures. There was nothing we needed they didn't have!

Pleasant surprise when we arrived the villa was huge and maintained at a very high standard, everything you needed and more. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Little Deli on site with great fresh produce including bread & croissants. Only downside Quinta do Lago is not a town it's purpose built complex's around golf courses all very nice but no cafes, bars or restaurants (apart from one) other than on the complex which are expensive, you need to hire a car to get into the towns. Driving is nice and relaxed but a few strange junctions and signs. For any wildlife lovers its a good spot with Ria de Formosa nature reserve 20 mins walk away, Flamingo's, Hoopoe etc. also Red necked Nightjar in the local pine wood, would definitely go back.

Lovely villa.Nice pool area.Good choice of breakfast.Downside you cant pay cash at the pool everything has to go to the villa. Cant pay cash in the shop.Needs adult only pool far to many kids by the pool so was noisy.

Cannot fault the villa at all. Last year we stayed there in a 4 bed detached villa and this year in a 3 bed townhouse as we had one less in party. We were worried it was going to be much smaller in comparison but we were pleasantly surprised. It’s great to have the communal pool to visit too and there is plenty of play equipment to keep children entertained. The breakfast is excellent if you want a day off. My only complaint is that although the villas were super clean, the toilet facilities at the pool were less so and not checked regularly.

5 star stay - especially for big families - worth the extra spend and much mor relaxed than a package holiday that costs the same !

MQ is a brilliant family friendly location. The Villa’s are large and well equipped, the shared pools are a great place to hangout and have lots of other play areas for the kids to enjoy - trampoline, sandpit, splash fountains and an old VW camper they can climb in and out of! The staff are excellent - very attentive and are great with the kids. We found that we did need to hire a car to really enjoy the rest of Quinta do Largo though. It’s a vast area with many restaurants and places to go. We travelled with Tots to Travel and would recommend them to anyone with under 5’s.

Fantastic experience and a fantastic place for children to be lots of fun for the younger ones our grand daughter loved every minute. Would definitely come again.

This is the second time in 3 years to stay at the Martinhal Quinta. We stayed in a 4 bedroom villa which was very clean and had all the amenities and more needed for a young family of 5. Everything was catered for including high chair and stair gates. The staff are all child friendly, giving high fives and making sure everything is ok. I highly recommend the Martinhal Quinta and also recommend a car hire just for convenience to visit local restaurants and the surrounding area.

Gorgeous resort with every amenity taken care of. Beautiful pool and restaurant facilities. The staff is so very friendly, welcoming and helpful. This place is the perfect getaway for family with young children. Upscale and wonderful.

Great family holiday. I visited with my young family for 10 day's during the U.K easter holiday, and we stayed in a villa after upgrading from a town house. The facilities are very good with 3 good size pools including a toddler pool and indoor pool with lots of natural light, the pools were heated, but would still recommend thermal t shirts or shorty wet suits for young kids as many got cold after playing for a while. There is a small shop that has the essentials and quite a few British products including Ella's kitchen. We did most of our shopping at a small supermarket 5 minutes drive away. The villa was clean and spacious and the daily maid service was appreciated to make the holiday a little more relaxing. There was a lot to make the villa family friendly, plastic utensils for kids, thick curtains and screens for early bed times, the cot, high chair and stair gates all in place upon arrival, the only negatives were no pool guard in the villa we were in, but I was informed of this before arrival and the front door was easily opened by my toddler as locks are card operated. The general resort is well looked after and quiet and safe, and easily navigated by foot even with small children, there is aircraft noise from Faro airport and noise from gardeners, but both are very limited in duration and not that loud. The staff are all very friendly and with the various child friendly facilities including, table tennis, large sand pit, blue room, the kids barely wanted to leave resort. Finally the biggest positive for me was that, it was a very family friendly resort without it seeming like we were living in a school playground, like some other resorts we have stayed in, which made it a nice holiday for me and the wife.

We were very impressed by the spacious high quality town house. Our garden with its little pool was private and a real sun trap. The pool hangout area was fab - our children loved the trampoline and camper van, which really helped them find friends. We used the indoor pool on a rainy day, which was also lovely. Breakfasts were a real treat and all the food we ate at lunch and dinner was lovely. Our children went to kids club twice and really enjoyed it. The shop on site is smart and has good quality, albeit limited produce. We did find we needed to use the larger supermarket, which is only a 4 min drive away and also good quality. The nearby beach is beautiful. A great stay.

I will like to mention that the customer service from the reception to the Mbar was fantastic especially will two staffs called Bruno and Enrique, they really made us feel welcome.

Stayed in a 3 bed townhouse. Lovely resort with nice pool and space for kids. Also has a warm indoor pool. Stayed with our 15 month baby and she loved it. Great breakfast and lunch cafe. Evenings are very quiet so don't expect any entertainment or lively evenings

Everything we could have wanted in a family holiday and more. The villa, the staff, the surroundings, highly recommend it!

Overall a very good experience. Allowed us to check in two hours early and led us to our spacious 2 bed villa with requested kid gates and bed guards in place. Very spacious and clean villa. Very well equipped with BBQ, microwave, washer/dryer... Friendly and efficient staff. Breakfast fresh with extensive variety. Only one on-site restaurant which I didn't eat at. Frustratingly the kitchen shuts between 5-6pm which is prime time for young children eating. Kids club used twice and seemed decent, kids came back having had a good time. Onsite supermarket has a relatively good variety of produce (mainly British imports) at inflated prices though good enough if you're in a fix. Also used on site massage which was of a good standard. Staff lent us a DVD player and also gave a cake and candles for my daughters birthday which was a thoughtful touch. Thank you Martinhal.

Very nice place. Spent a couple of days here for a wedding. A very high standard and nice friendly staff.

The best at first: the stuff. They are very helpful and friendly. Fife stars for that. Unfortunately was our villa not even fife stars worth. Pools are not heated, pool on villa is very smal. You cannot swim in it. Air conditioner are very loud - difficult to find to sleep if your neighbors activates the system over night. And so on. At least it is necessary to have a car. Nothing is reachable by feet.

Good communal pool area. Nice and relaxing. Unfortunately they don't accept cash so you have to sign for everything which might catch some out at the end of their stay.

Visited with my family off season. Quiet and well maintained. 3 bedroom villa with private pool, which unfortunately was not heated. However there is an indoor heated pool on site. Breakfast was complementary and all the staff were very helpful. Recommend hiring a car if you want to explore the surrounding towns and beaches. Will definitely be back.

Luxery villia spotlessly clean with daily housekeeping the area is quiet and surrounded by well kept golf courses the service at this complex is exerilant and nothing was to much trouble there was a communal pool and some where to eat dinner And have breakfast if wished to we are looking forward to returing in the near future xx
