Overall, this is a wonderful hotel and we will return. It has a welcoming feel about the property and the location is superb. We booked a 14 night stay with our small children in an apartment. Upon check in, we were offered an upgrade to a pool view. I took the upgrade but we had a few minor issues with our room - the hotel refunded the cost of our upgrade. Superb customer experience!

They give us an apartment, instead of a regular room. It was very spacious and with All the facilites to warrant a pleasant stay.

아파트먼트 룸에서 숙박했습니다. 방, 거실, 주방 모두 넓고, 냉장고 인덕션 세탁기 빨래건조대 등등 없는게 없네요. 테라스도 좋았습니다. 정원이 정말 넓고 아름답게 잘 가꿔져있고, 직원들도 친절합니다. 레스토랑도 호텔치고 합리적인 가격이고 맛도 괜찮았습니다. 가장 좋았던건 스파인데, 거품 나오는 자쿠지와 건식, 습식 사우나 시설이 모두 있습니다. 아, 주차 공간도 널널해서 렌트하신분도 편리하게 이용할수 있어요. 멋진 리조트입니다!

Nice hotel. Disappointing view from suite. Food from room service was not good and the worst we have had so far in Lagos despite being the most expensive. Pleasant surrounds. Lovely breakfast. Limited shuttle service to Lagos but you can walk, about 30 minutes, or take a taxi. Found that the suite was not really toddler friendly enough to stay for more than a couple of nights and it would have been better to book a self catering accommodation. Heated pool was nice but only allows children to mid day. The rest were too cold to use during our stay. Staff were fine, not overly helpful but fine. Both of us grazed ourselves on the rough finish in the hotel pool. I'd give it four stars if it was four star hotel but I feel our experience here in my merits three and a half. V nice grounds with good facilities.

not a very enjoyable meal. My Fish main course was served raw. Returned it and after nearly 20 minutes I told them not to bother giving me a new one as the rest of my table has all long finished their main course. However the Customer Service was good, the front of house staff apologised and took my last glass of wine of the bill as an apology.

My two daughters, grandson and myself visited the Cascade Wellness Centre for four days during the Easter holidays on a half board basis. In consequence, we were able to visit Senses as part of the package on three consecutive nights for dinner. All four of us loved it. The restaurant is on the first floor of the hotel. It is a comfortable venue with an attractive layout and welcoming ambience. It looks out across the pool and grounds and must be delightful during the day. In mid-April the crowds were not evident in vast numbers although the restaurant was quite busy, and therefore you would be advised to book. I suspect this would be imperative in the summer months. We booked on arrival for the three evenings. The service was very good indeed. Any waiting was quite acceptable and the food did not take long to arrive. All the staff were most welcoming, friendly and attentive. They were happy to take photographs of us and kept out wine and water topped up. Jose deserved a medal. He was kind, professional, helpful, knowledgeable, good with the children and charming. He took an obvious delight in explaining to us what we were going to eat. A star! Half board allows you to have the chef’s set menu of five courses. You can go a la carte if you prefer with a 30 euro/person credit but we didn’t do so. There is a good choice for most courses and the menu changes daily. A children’s menu is available for the little ones. My grandson gave it the thumbs up. The food is characteristically Mediterranean/Portuguese. Wine or soft drinks and water are included in the package. The wine is perfectly adequate. Many of the courses seem like a set of tasters but at the end of the meal, you feel that you have dined well. The menu is adventurous and you are given the opportunity to try lots of different tastes and wonderful flavours. The food is beautifully presented too. Not all the food will appeal to you but much will. One daughter disliked the eels whereas the other loved them. You may shudder at the beautifully coloured barnacles but I thought them splendid. Beetroot may not be your thing but what the chef did with it was a culinary delight. So, expect lots of different tastes and be prepared to be challenged as you embark on a gastronomic experience. Senses may however not be the place for you if you prefer something simple, unadventurous and straight-forward. This hotel is beautifully situated. The grounds and garden are an impeccable delight. There are glorious views of the coast close by and access to a couple of smashing beaches. You will need to catch the shuttle bus to visit Lagos, hire a taxi or come here in your own car. It is just a bit too far for walking there. We stay close, enjoying the peace and quiet. If you were here for longer and wished to explore, you need to be aware that the hotel is a tad isolated from urban centres. The hotel itself is very attractive with beautiful décor and a relaxing ambience. The rooms are huge and well-appointed with wonderful walk-in showers. This is true of the dining facilities too. Breakfasts is superb. The staff at Reception are efficient, friendly and very helpful. The first quibble we had was that our rooms were not ready. We had to wait over an hour but were offered a sincere apology and a free drink and something to eat on the terrace. We were happy with that. There are three gorgeous swimming pools but two are unheated and freezing cold in April. This was disappointing for my grandson. Children were permitted to use the third pool which is heated and linked to the Wellness Centre but only until noon. After that it is adults only. I appreciate the rationale behind this policy but it is tough on the kids who were unable to use the other pools in April. There would be no problem in high summer of course but it would be so much better if one of the other pools was heated too. Note that the heated pool had a very rough surface which can cause nasty grazes

Un endroit de rêve. Waouw. Complexe hôtelier haut de gamme, face à l'océan, au bord de la falaise, au calme. Superbes piscines. Service professionnel et attentionné. Petit déjeuner magnifique avec possibilité de le prendre sur une agréable terrasse. Restaurant Senses: Déco raffinée et contemporaine. Menu qui change chaque jour avec choix (2 entrées et 2 plats). Mets recherchés, beaux produits, cuisson impeccable. Service souriant et attentif. Cuisine qui mérite le détour. Bref, l'hôtel et le restaurant sont un must si vous projetez un séjour en Algarve. Hotel espectacular, estupendas instalaciones, spa, vistas y cercanía a playas preciosas. Especial mención a la amabilidad de todos los empleados, cuidan el detalle al máximo y es de agradecer. Fuimos de viaje por nuestro 10°aniverario de bodas y cuando llegamos a la habitación nos esperaba una muy grata sorpresa, fresas con varios tipos de chocolate y una botella de cava fresquito. Sin duda fue la mejor elección del Algarve, y ha tengo ganas de repetir, sin duda el año que viene volveremos pues nos han quedado muchas cosas por hacer. Great Hotel , nice facilities , go for the Apartments in Block 5 as they are slightly larger than some of the others.

Cascade is a well positioned resort with a trail directly to the main attraction - Ponta Piedade. The pool, jacuzzi and spa complex are best in class with all modern amenities. The staff are extremely helpful and this during the Easter break where they well short-staffed. They helped us book the boat rides to the caves and helped us with little odds and ends throughout. They have a shuttle that goes down to a beach and to the city center which is quite convenient. The room itself was spacious, the poster bed romantic and the views incredible. Highly recommend it!

Spa and pool are outside exposed to the elements, turkish bath and everything inside beautiful. Staff are lovely, wouldn't recommend manicure and pedicure- over priced, no foot or hand rub just nails done, paint come off within an hour. Had very limited colour selection. Other peoples massages were apprently very good though! They were accomodating to people pulling out last minute though

O quarto era muito agradável e espaçoso, e a limpeza estava cuidada. Tinha tudo o que se pode precisar. O Hotel em sim é lindo e tem zonas exteriores à sua altura. Lanchámos no bar uma tosta que estava muito boa! Opção de tosta vegan! Pequeno almoço óptimo e com muita variedade para veganos. Espero poder voltar!

Very friendly staff, nice & well looked after resort, fully equiped apartments! Heated pool hours for kids bit short. Walking distance to the beach but not to town. Nice short walk to the lighthouse. Very good food and breakfast with stunning view. We would come back.

My experience was with the AXN fitness club. Although getting to the front door is a bit confusing for first timers the gym is great. They have and indoor and outdoor section, and the option of some trails to run for those who don't like treadmills. You can either use machines, free weights or calisthenics, group classes or personal training and they even have a mobile boot camp to train in different spots around Lagos. Oh and the locker room is very creative and the showers are very spacious. All in all a very good relation between what you pay and what you get.

Great rooms and right next to the beach. They have a really nice spa too. Quiet resort but very close to downtown Lagos.

This was an incredible resort. It has everything from tennis courts, 3 swimming pools, billiard room, day beds, etc etc. A walk away from the beaches and the most gorgeous views. I only wish we had more time here. The staff is so friendly! We were already checked out and had a flight later around 8pm, so we wanted to go to the beach. They actually let us come back to the resort after and use the shower room so we could get cleaned up. Absolutely stunning place will definitely come back. The breakfast buffet is also one of the best I've seen. Lunch was ok, wasn't my favorite but the breakfast was amazing!!

The most luxurious and enjoyable hotel we've visited in Portugal so far. The staff is always very helpful, breakfast is wonderful and rolls sums pools are perfect. Very enjoyable for families- we were here with our 3&5 daughters and had a blast. Highly recommended!

I wish it were possible to review the hotel and restaurants separately as our experiences in each are drastically different. The hotel is clean and modern and the staff is very attentive and helpful. The restaurants, however; are pathetic. Upon arrival, we were offered a “welcome drink” which took 45 minutes to arrive and was essentially a glass of pineapple juice. My wife and I also ordered lunch as we had been traveling all morning and for 14 euros we had a wrap with guacamole, 3 prawns and a handful of fries. For the Canadians out there, it was effectively the size of a Tim Hortons snack wrap for 14€ that took over an hour to arrive. For the remainder of our stay we decided to eat outside of the hotel (14€ can take you a long way in Lagos) except one night we ordered 2 scoops of ice cream from the Lighthouse bar in the lobby. After waiting for 20 minutes we asked if the ice cream could be delivered to our room and we were told it would cost €7.50 to have it delivered, despite the fact that our room was about a minute walk from the bar and we had already been waiting an inordinate amount of time. We were told that our order was coming shortly; however, 10 minutes later we canceled our order and left. There was only one other couple in the entire bar (who also did not receive any service) and at least 3 wait staff doing who knows what. Long story short - hotel is nice, don’t eat at the restaurants.

Estadia de 2 noite. Não nos sentimos bem recebidos, nao sei se foi pelas horas, que seriam umas 23h e qualquer coisa. Pequeno almoço normal, nada de muito especial, mas era agradável. Os quartos precisam que uma pinturazinha. A limpeza 5* O jantar em buffet foi o melhor. Serviço de jantar 5* a comida 5*... ai sim valeu o dinheiro pago. A voltar... talvez.

A well maintained hotel which is both large and cosy. The room was spacious and comfortable. The pools were inviting, the tennis courts had a good fast surface, it would be good to have water down there. The food was tasty and the buffet fresh and varied. Good cliff walks nearby and an easy stroll to town.

We stayed here for four nights and it was the perfect spot. It is centrally located for all the great beach spots and we we're able to walk to pretty much everything. And we could use their free shuttle to hitch a ride back or to the primary destinations. They did let us use their towels for the beaches and activities we did off the hotel grounds, which was also awesome. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant options were very good. Senses had the best dinner and was worth the wine pairing as well. Their Portuguese night was our favorite. They had a buffet option that included wine and beer and was perfect for those times we did not know exactly what we wanted. The breakfast was delicious and they had a great variety. We did not use the spa, but the pool, hot tub, steam room, etc...was all included and we did not have to pay extra, which was great. The hotel room was very nice and the only issue we had was the shower door leaked, but we had plenty of towels for the situation, and the air conditioning would only go as low as 19° C. I would have liked lower, but that is my personal preference.

Deuxième séjour au Cascade : avec une grande de 8 ans et une petite de 5 mois, nous savions quil était idéal : une piscine enfants, juste au pied des chambre, qui permet déviter de passer toute la journée à lintérieur en attendant la fin des siestes de bébé !Plage à 5 minutes en voiture (conseillée même si lhôtel propose des navettes fréquentes)Restaurant Sense délicieux (prix un peu élevé, mais ok si on ne prend quun plat, copieux et digne de top chef !)Rien à redire !

We had a one bedroom apartment which was modern and comfortable. Pools are very good, service great and very impressed with the food (excellent variety across the 3 restaurants). I didn’t use the football fields or get up at 5am for bootcamp but I’m sure it was delightful.

It has a great view and that undeniable but a little bit overpriced. The view is to the beach and the ocean which it makes it very relaxing. The pool area was very nice.

Auch wenn die Zimmer zum Teil etwas verbesserungswürdig sind (Türe schließen nicht richtig, Stühle quietschen sehr auf den gefließten Boden, Wäscheständer teils kaputt), ist es overall ein ganz tolles Hotel. Sehr freundliches Personal, leckere Speisen (auch wenn z.T. sehr überteuert, vor allem am Pool), schöne Zimmer und zwei tolle Pools. Auch die Lage in der Nähe von Lagos ist hervorragend.

wunderschönes hotel. essen tip top, service tip top. wir hatten ein apartment gemietet welches gleich am schönen pool war, herrlich! das zimmer war auch wirklich riesen gross, man hatte also mehr als genügend platz. dir anlage ist sehr ruhig und hat auch einen schönen spa bereich. kann es nur empfehlen!

Wir waren zwei Wochen hier. Positiv: - weitläufige Anlage mit zwei schönen großen Pools - voll ausgestattete Apartments mit Küche, Utensilien, Waschmaschine, Spülmaschine etc. - Lage am Meer mit zwei fußläufigen Stränden - bequeme Betten - Preis / Nacht angemessen - Kids Club, Fitnessstudio und -kurse und das Trainingsfeld des FC Porto angrenzend (wer es mag) Negativ: - Preise der Restaurants zu hoch, für die kleinen Portionen und mässige Qualität (das Senses Restaurant ist die Ausnahme, da das Essen dort wirklich gut ist) - etwas abgewohnt (manche Türen schließen nicht, Badewannenmechanik klemmt) - Filzaufkleber unter den Holzstühlen fehlen, so dass man das Hin- und Her-Schieben der Nachbarn sehr laut mitbekommt (geflieste Böden) - Es ist windiger und kühler als beispielsweise Faro (wofür das Hotel nichts kann, sollte man nur bedenken) und es gibt viele Ameisen im Apartment. Wir kommen gerne wieder, wenn es sich ergibt!

Great hotel but poorly designed access to the street and beaches. We stayed in the two bedroom apartment 1311. The apartment is very nice and clean and has beautiful views. The staff are nice. Our son loves the sandy pool and the nursery in the complex. Amazing beaches are very close by, but accessing them is not easy unless you jump the hotel fence like we had to do, as the only gate to exit the complex (apart from the main entrance) is almost always locked. Getting into downtown Lagos would also be much easier if there was at least one more exit from the complex, on the eastern end. What could be a 15min walk becomes a 35min walk. In summary, the resort was very well thoughtout in terms of decoration but not in terms of accessibility. It needs more entrances.

Supposed to be one of the best complexes in Lagos... The minuses - We are definitely not happy with the food! Steaks we ordered were over cooked, tiger shrimps were not cleaned prior to serving. Overall, not a 5 star experience at all. Facilities are up to the 5 star standard, but... AC in room was set on 26 Celsius and was still blowing cold. The two bedroom apartment had only on phone that was in one of the bedrooms. (not convenient) Our bathroom door was not closing. Internet was very slow and was accessible only on the terrace. Hot water took a few minutes to come up to the unit every day. The pluses - very friendly stuff (except one server in the pub) Overall the complex is up to its 5 star rating. 24/7 room service.

Meine Frau und ich haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und werden,nach Corona 100 % zurückkehren. Es war einfach ein Traum. Loved this hotel. Only complaint was that breakfast was not the standard you would expect from this type of hotel. The quality of the food was lacking. Service was friendly but very slow. Overall a great experience though. Extremely clean and relaxing place to chill out for a few days

Das Reinigungspersonal hat den ganzen Tag Zeit und kommt erst 16 Uhr, wenn man wieder zurück ist im Appartement. Den Müll brachte ich täglich selbst weg.Geruchsbildung, da die Abflüssse im Bad alle verstopft sind v. a. in der Dusche; gefolgt von den Waschbecken.

We rented a one bedroom with a garden view. We were given a one bedroom with an ocean view. It made our trip being able to sit out each morning having our breakfast with a fantastic view.

The Cascade Wellness Resort was as beautiful and clean as the pictures! We loved the spa with the thermal pool, sauna and steam room. We also loved how you could walk to the cliffs and beaches from the property. Staff was very nice and helpful. Would definitely staff here again!

Das Hotel hat eine ausgezeichnete Lage, sehr ruhig und direkt am Meer. Die Anlage ist gepflegt und sauber. Der Service und das Personal ließen keine Wünsche offen. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und geschmacklich excellent. Das Hotel hat keinen Innenpool und keinen Ruheraum zur Sauna. Der Wellnessbereich hatte im Dezember nur bis 17:30 Uhr geöffnet.

I signed up for a 7-day fitness training program and I have to say the service in the resort largely exceeded my expectations. The hotel kitchen adapted to my schedule so that I could have breakfast right after my morning session - whilst being very flexible with my dietary requirements. That said the AXN fitness team was by far the very best part of the experience. My plan was fully personalised from A to Z, and the coach and owner Michele really cared about getting the best out of me in his program. Not only did I massively improve my fitness but I also got to visit great places around Lagos - and most importantly: got to know great people. Would highly recommend to anyone!

Not a proper 5 star but probably one of few top places in Lagos. Shuttle is a great addition. Spa is poor so is breakfast. Staff is great. Shuttle to old town is a great addiction as food in house leaves a lot to be desired. Great location and 10 mins walk to the cliffs. Beach is a 20 mins walk.

Great property and beautiful surroundings. Rooms are well decorated and clean. Front desk staff are friendly and accommodating. Beautiful cliffs just outside of the property for photography. We only stayed a few days so didn’t experience all the amenities such as gym and golfing, etc. Couple of small turn offs: first day at the resort we attempted to go to the hotel restaurant for dinner which was full. We were ok to wait for a spot to own but found the attitude of the restaurant staff a bit cold and unwelcoming and not very accommodating. We ended up trying awesome restaurants in the city of Lagos during our 3 day stay which was great. Also our room had some electrical issue when we first checked in (loud sound coming from electrical box and light flashing). After a few calls to the reception they told us they are going to move my husband and I to a new room with two single beds. Considering us having to repack our stuff in pitch black and the inconvenience having arrived after 6 hours of driving, would have expected a room upgrade not downgrade from a 5 star resort. Thankfully the electrical issue was resolved shortly after so we ended up staying in our own room. Overall other than the couple of iffy first impressions mentioned we were very happy with the resort and our 3 day stay.

Très bel établissement, sur un emplacement unique sur les falaises, point de départ de nombreuses excursions. Nous avons bénéficié d’une très jolie chambre en Rez de jardin donnant sur la piscine. Chaque terrasse équipée de bains de soleil permet de se reposer en toute intimité. Le personnel est accueillant, mais ne parle pas français.

October was not busy, great service, very nice hotel everywhere, staff very helpful. Menu could be improved for kids and vegetarians, maybe they could add a buffet downstairs in the low season. Spa needs more staff as appointments need to be booked far in advance, Spa treatment prices seem expensive compared to elsewhere. Spa is first class.

The staff are great - but - theres just not enough of them. Had to wait till 4pm to get one of the rooms, waiting up to an hour to get food up in the bar & restaurants, a round of drinks takes15 mins to turn up, amongst our group we had to get new key-cards 3 times - it happens - but - the wait at reception was 20 mins, 30 mins and 40 mins. It took me 30 minutes to check-out when we left (good job I did it the night before, not at 6am in the morning when theres a plane to catch!). Shame really - its a nice place to hang out, but we left with more bad feelings than good.

Beautiful resort! Wish we couldve stayed longer. Really makes you feel like a VIP at a 5 star resort!

Really enjoyed the facilities and the staff were very nice and helpful. Great spa with outdoor heated pool and jacuzzi, and fantastic massage experience (not cheap but definitely worth doing as a treat! )

I am local resident in Lagos and lots of my friend stayed in this hotel by my recommendation. Today i went there with my two year old son to spend an hour on they children playground and got kicked out by they staff - they said its only for guests. No more recomendations from me i guess.

The hotel and amenities were amazing. They have a shuttle van that will give you a ride to the beach and the town centre that was very helpful for the location of the hotel. The dinner restaurant service was our only complaint. Took a long time to be served or checked in on. The service didn’t match the price. Breakfast and pool service top notch!

A nice hotel with a large pool. Plenty of space for lounging. Very friendly staff and great food. A short walk to the beach. Big short game practice area for the golfers. Top notch teaching pros at the academy. The brownie dessert was one the the best I have ever had(easy top five) I did not visit the spa but have heard it is worth the visit.

Given a room with ‘wet-room’ rather than bathroom as advertised. This was clearly designed for elderly or wheel chair users and highly unsuitable. No bath, no storage, mirror at chest height, safely handles and seat - we paid a luxury price and didn’t expect this. We were moved but still had to pay a premium for me night and weren’t offered any refund or compensation. Annoying

Lovely place for our holiday. Staff are exceptional and the complex is beautifully maintained and so comfortable. They even sent a scrumptious chocolate cake for my wife on her birthday while we were there. Will very seriously consider returning next year.

Clean, beautiful setting, amazing rooms, facilities are top notch, the most amazing and original pool we have ever seen: a beach/sand pool hybrid, our 3 year old loved it! Service was great, we loved our stay here. A golf driving range, with view of the ocean! The scenic walk around the resort is truly beautiful. Food is amazing, will review separately. If I must complain, the horrible door stopper in the bathroom, right next to the toilet bowl, I almost broke my toe three times on it before putting a towel on it for the rest of our stay. Thank you!!

First room allocated could possibly have been the worst garden view room available - dated decor and balcony furniture, in a corner facing an escape staircase. 2nd room modernised, but dominated by noise of a/c units. Hotel response - keep the patio door closed. 3rd room - modernised and overall good. Once we were established in the resort all aspects were good.

Good place for familes with kids. NOT a good place for adults without kids. Spa, pool and bar close at 8pm. Service is great, but very expensive. There are cheaper and better options in downtown Lagos

It was a lovely tranquil complex! Sarah at reception was extremely sweet and knowledgeable. Our room was very spacious with a wonderful patio! Breakfast (which was included with our room) was great! Plenty of outdoor lounge chairs. We had lunch poolside several times and everything was delicious. Our only negative was that by 3:45 pm our rooms were not serviced and therefore no clean towels to shower. I notified the front desk and they quickly sent housekeeping to our room. :).

Ok...so this may be a long review...first up this is about our tenth time here so plenty of experience. First the good bits. Nice small ish hotel. Prob about 50 rooms or so. Great pool by the main hotel complex. Rooms are v nice, especially the Asian style ones. Good size, nice bathrooms and have held up well over the last 10 years or so. Big beds, great Aircon. Has a good size underground parking too which is free. Since we were last here it looks like the hotel has addressed a lot of the criticisms of the past. There is now a pool bar and pool service for drinks and food. They have added a new restaurant, the gastropub and have relocated their Senses restaurant. They have added a new wing with roughly another 15 rooms. Now for the NOT so good points. It really just comes down to service and waiting times. If you want to eat or drink you have to literally think about it an hour before u want it. That includes asking for the bill.. it's not as if they dont have enough staff. There are plenty of them, it's just that they dont seems to do anything. My experience is that you have one "boss" and they are the only ones that can actually take orders, bring the bill etc..all the others just run around and ignore you. I am all for a relaxed ,chilled out expereince, but to sit at a table and have to wait 10 mins for a menu then another 10 mins to wait to order a drink then a further 10 mins to get the drink then another 10 mins to order food and then wait upto 45 mins to get food just makes the relaxed environment turn into stress. If they could ever just get this bit right then this place is one of the best I have stayed in, in Europe. I can tell it's not just me, every other nationality of person that I have met ends up doing the same thing. You end up just getting up and having to go and pay yourself etc.... other than that, nice people and nice hotel.

We stayed at the resort for 5 days and had a lovely time. We booked an apartment and it was spacious and fully equipped with everything a family needs. Clean, renovated, right next to the sandy pool, which was amazing. Everything was excellent from the drinks and snacks at the pool, to the manicured lawns:)

Stayed here for a week with my husband and 1 year old daughter. Some notes: - the heated pool is within the spa area, which you have to be over 16 to use, and we weren't allowed to bring our baby in. The outdoor pools are not heated at all. We were there in June and the outdoor unheated pools were all too cold to bring her into. - our air conditioning cut out multiple times, which was annoying. Eventually we just asked the engineer who came and reset it to show us what to do so we could do it ourselves.This was OK during the day, but when it was cutting out multiple times at night, it became really annoying. They sent another technician, and seemed to fix it for a few more hours, but then it broke again just before we were heading to bed. We were told that it's a power issue in the resort, which would explain our next issue... - we constantly had power issues, phones wouldn't charge, the baby monitor wouldn't charge, the Ipad wouldn't charge, all at different times. It caused an amount of stress, because the baby monitor would suddenly stop charging in the middle of the night and cut out, then we would have to get up out of bed and find another plug that was working, and turn it back on. - twice we had an infestation of ants. We've stayed in many hotels, lots of them in hot countries, and we've never had anything like this. All that being said, we stayed in a 2 bed apartment, which was really spacious. There was an outdoor deck with sun loungers, which was great to have. Our bed was a really big, firm mattress. The baby's travel cot had a nice padded mattress which was real comfortable for her. The breakfast was amazing, and most of the waiters were lovely and friendly.

We spent 3 nights here while traveling through Portugal. This is a really nice hotel in a good, relaxing location. About a 15 minute walk into Lagos where there are loads of good restaurants. The hotel is close to Farol da Ponta da Piedad. Was worth the walk to a great lookout and lighthouse. The room was very clean and spacious. We had an ocean view room. Although the view was from the balcony. We booked a twin room and ended up with a king. Nothing could be done to correct this during our stay. We couldn't adjust the air-conditioning in our room. This had to be done by maintenance. We asked a few times but it never got done..... we gave up asking and slept with the door open. We felt the staff were very nice but didn't really know their product.

Brilliant resort, we came here for our honeymoon and for our anniversary. Lovely rooms, especially self catering. 2 nice size pool area and a great little spa offering massages and a nice heated pool, a gym with a decent selection of equipment and classes offering bootcamp a to yoga. Theres a driving range and tennis courts, Lagos town is a 10 mins drive away so plenty to do and walkable if you so choose. The staff are always friendly and helpful, food is amazing and a great selection of food, snacks and drinks. Only criticism I can think is in the apartments there can be noise from people above when moving chairs, walking about etc as it scrapes on the tile floor. But doesn't detract from this amazing place, we love it here.

Beautiful house, very clean and the pool is HEATED. WiFi has been a let down. Food in the returants is great but pricey.

Modern and clean hotel with lots of facilities including spa, gym, driving range and tennis courts. The breakfasts are good and the staff polite. Great location too if you don't want to be in the middle of a town with lots of tourists. The downsides? Water in the room is not replenished, you're only allowed two coffees in the room per day before getting charged extra, there is no water in the gym, gym classes cost 18 euros (a bit steep).

Nous avons passé un excellent weekend dans ce magnifique hôtel. L'accueil et les services sont bons, le buffet du petit-déjeuner est très varié et délicieux. Il y a aussi à disposition une navette gratuite permettant de relier les principaux lieux de vie de la ville. Le personnel est agréable et souriant. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter.

Sehr schöne, relativ kleine Hotelanlage in hervorragender Lage und tollem Blick auf das Meer. Sehr schöne, große Zimmer. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Unbedingt Martha an der Rezeption nach Tipps für landestypische Restaurants fragen.

Tolles, riesiges und sehr ruhiges Appartement mit viel Privatsphäre Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Personal ist unglaublich freundlich und zuvorkommend. Auch das hoteleigene Restaurant ist sehr zu empfehlen. Die zu Fuß erreichbaren Strände sind einfach sagenhaft schön und der Ort Lagos hat uns auch sehr gut gefallen.

23 au 25 mars 2018. Excellent service et personnel. Les chambres sont nettoyées le matin avec un passage le soir pour faire le lit et changer les tapis de sol (SdB). La chambres sont très agréables malgré l'impossibilité de régler correctement la température. L'a clim fait un bruit très léger n'empêchant pas de dormir. Par contre le SPA n'est pas à la hauteur de ce qu'on connaît. Le jacuzzi était ridicule (pas assez de bulles justes des petits jets d'eau) et externe non adapté à une température de mars. La piscine chauffée est externe aussi... pas assez chauffée à mon goût. Du coup on prend froid et c'est assez désagréable. Cela dit des travaux sont en cours pour améliorer cet espace. indispensable à leur image. La situation est juste merveilleuse... a 800m de Ponta da Herdade.

We stayed 3 nights. This place is very lovely and adjacent to beautiful beaches. Of course, staffs were very friendly and welcoming. Especially Diogo the bell boy, he came out all the way out to parking lot to help me and guide me when we arrived at night. Not only breakfast, dinner menus are very nice at the Mundi restaurant. We had dinner there on the first day of our arrival. Wish we can stay there again in near future.

We had a great stay at the Cascades. We are Australians and were doing a road trip along the Algarve. It was nearing the end of the day and after viewing a few places not to our liking, we had a stroke of luck and found the Cascades. After a long day driving and sightseeing it was like a breath of fresh air!We booked online an hour before arrival and were offered a choice of drinks on the beautiful patio whilst our room was being prepared.The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and nothing was too much effort. The resort itself is stunning, great views, quiet, spacious and very comfortable in every way. I would go out of my way to recommend the Cascades and we hope to return one day.

This is a high price, high end wellness centre. They try hard and talk a good story but cannot deliver on truly high end services. So they under deliver on services. I came to our room which was beautifully appointed with a beautiful view of the pool and the Ocean. It was very cold in the room because Air conditioned system was on and would not swith off, so tried to turn it off and turn it on the heating cycle. Did not work. Called front desks to see if they could remedied the problem. They could not! Asked to change room and they would not do that. We had basically had to freeze in our room to the a point where we had to asked for lots of blankets just to stay warm. Needless to say we had a terrible night. So in the morning i had to be firm with the hotel staffs to change room. They did absolutely nothing to help or make things better with our luggages. So this is a wellness center that really market themselves well by overpromissing and under delivering. They need to review how they deliver customer services to their client. You go to a wellness center to be pampered and in exchange you pay for this type of services. They will gladly take your money but will be reluctant to deliver. So be aware when you book at Cascade.

We stayed here for part of our honeymoon and enjoyed it! The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was very nice/helpful. "Portuguese night" at the main restaurant was fun and the breakfast buffet was delicious. The main pool was nice and relaxing as well, though a little cold for our liking. We loved how centrally located the resort is to both old town Lagos and several great beaches. Overall, this is a great place and we can't wait to come back!

Genial. Estuvimos solo una noche, y no puedo hablar ni de las instalaciones deportivas (tiene golf, tenis, fútbol...) ni del Spa, pero las habitaciones, piscina, bar y desayuno muy bien. Un pero? el aire acondicionado no se podía subir de 20.5°

This was the perfect stay. So relaxing. High quality and the staff were awesome. Quick to resolve any issues. The only minor annoyance was the TV and phones were all over the internet and throughout the entire stay cut out every few minutes. But we weren't there to watch TV. Loved the stay! Can't wait to go back! Wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Wir haben relativ kurzfristig gebucht und ein wunderschönes Appartement mit Poolblick erhalten.Bei der Ankunft wurden wir freundliche von Ricardo empfangen und anschliessend wurde uns ein Willkommensgetränk offeriert.Das Appartement liegt sehr schön und ruhig. Es ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Alle Küchenutensilien um zu kochen, wenn man das möchte. Sogar eine Waschmaschine ist im Appartement integriert. Man sollte aber selbst Waschmittel mitbringen. Die Reception hat keines vorhanden.Das Auto kann man problemlos direkt vor dem Appartement parken, oder sogar in die Tiefgarage stellen. Man fühlt sich sehr sicher in dieser Anlage.Die Zimmer sind sauber und der Garten ist sehr gepflegt. Das Pool und der dazugehörende Sand am Pool wird jeden Morgen gründlich gereinigt.Es gibt einen Spazierweg der Küste entlang, der sich sehr lohnt. Man sieht einen wunderschönen Sonnenuntergang, welcher die Felsen anstrahlt.Das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit. Bei unserer Planung für die nächste Station unserer Ferienplanung wurde uns sehr geholfen, obwohl es nicht in der Region Algarve lag. Wirklich einen Top Service.Möchte man nicht im Hotel essen gehen, so empfehle ich Ihnen das Cafe do Mar in der Nähe des Centrums. Es liegt sehr schön mit Blick auf Meer und Küste und ist nicht voll im Rummel. Das Essen ist ausgezeichnet. Wirklich zu empfehlen.

Das Hotel ist sehr schön, freundliches Personal, das Essen ist sehr gut, es ist Stradnah und man ist in wenigen Minuten in Lagos.

Toll gelegenes Hotel mit sehr schönen Zimmern/ Ausstattung! Das Essen war toll! Wir hatten ein großes Zimmer mit einem sehr großen Balkon nach Osten zu einem der drei Pools und fühlten uns dort sehr wohl. Zwei Dinge gefielen uns dort nicht so gut: Erstens wurde bei den Coctails, die ab 8.50 Euro kosteten, sehr am Alkohol gespart, es waren eher Fruchtsäfte. Zweitens arbeiteten die Gärtner mit Benzin betriebenen Heckenscheren, die solchen Lärm machten, dass eine Unterhaltung lange Zeit nicht möglich waren und die Ohren klingelten. Außerdem wurde auch z.T. mit Benzin betriebenen Gartenwagen im Garten umher gefahren. Hier wären Baterriemotoren sehr angebracht.

We stayed two nights. One night we had to stay in one of the appartments as the hotel was full. This is also the reason I deduct 1 star as it was the first hotel I actually decided to sleep outside the room as it didn't smell good. Otherwise the hotel is nice with a good location and a very nice pool.

Took my fiancée here for her Birthday and had such a relaxing time with a nice apartment, food and swimming pools. We were checked in by I believe Pedro Alves who was so helpful and kind to us. On my fiancées actual birthday a delicious cake was left on the table in our apartment, I am not sure who arranged it as I only briefly mentioned that it was her birthday when we checked in. (so assume it was Pedro if so thank you!) They are located next to walking paths that go along the cliffs to the light house which has amazing scenic views.

We had a disappointing stay at this hotel, which was at the end of our trip to Portugal which started in Porto and was supposed to end on a relaxing note in Lagos. Firstly, the apartment we were first given had ants and had water leaking from under the shower screen on to the bathroom floor. This wasn't great considering we were buying food to keep in the kitchen! We were moved to a different room, but it was only after much complaining. Secondly, my husband and I being vegetarian and vegan followed instructions and gave the chef 24 hours notice so they could prepare a nice meal for us. Due to miscommunication this didn't happen, but there was no goodwill gesture at all. We were made to feel as though it was our fault. The shuttle to the town also ran on very limited times. Snooty staff that treat different people differently. Not 5 * I wouldn't say, but great access to a lovely beach down a cliff.

Die Restaurants sind super, die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt. Es hat ein schönen SPA und ein tolles Fitnesscenter mit den neusten Geräten. Die Zimmer sind sehr gross, sehr schön eingerichtet und haben allen Komfort den man braucht. Wir hatten die Master Suite mit Blick aufs Meer und einem tollen Whirlpool auf der Terrasse. Das Zimmer ist sehr gross und bietet alles was man sich wünscht. Wir sind sehr Happy mit dem Urlaub und werden sicher wieder einmal kommen!

Localizado numa área bastante calma de Lagos, com um serviço muito bom e grandes espaços para hóspedes. Experimenta uma aula no wellness center, recomendo.

A beautiful resort on a picturesque cliff close to beautiful beaches. The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. The pool was magnificent. The free daily breakfast was superb. I can't say enough good things about this visit as everything was extraordinary. Loved it!

after travelling thoughout Europe my husband and I wanted some resort time and chose this resort for the pool... did not disappoint... huge pool to accomodate guests with ample sun lounges...we had a room within the hotel with pool view which was spacious with lots of natural light.. large bathroom with highe quality products.. great sized balcony too which came in handy when wanting to relax before going into the old town...pool service was slow at times and limited menu to choose from but overall experience was good... great staff who were always discreet and happy to assist us with cabs, info and other things as needed....dinner at the restaurants was pricey so only ate there once... we preferred to try the restaurants in town which was only a short taxi ride (6 euro)... had a massage which was great but again very expensive... husband enjoyed the indoor/outdoor gym... we initially stayed here for 5 nights in August before going to Spain... after 8 days in Spain we came back here for another 5 nights solely for the pool life... loved it and hope to visit again

Stayed only for one night but we had the best experience. Nice rooms and very good layout of the hotel. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant "Sense", which was super. Highly recommended.

Este hotel es de los mejores que he visitado, dispone de actividades, tenis, gimnasio, spa, nosotros fuimos con el niño de 11 años y alucinó con las clases de fútbol. El trato del personal muy atento. El único pero el spa, que solo dispone de sauna y un jacuzzi muy pequeñito. Hotel de calidad superior!

Great holiday here in august 2016. Good facilities, not over crowded, good mix of normal pool and "fake beach". 15 minute walk to a fantastic real beach and 10 min shuttle bus ride into lagos, out favourite Algarve town. Food is a good standard but is expensive, especially the buffet which is double the price of what it should be. Also way too difficult to get reasonably priced drinking water - not acceptable for a hot country! Overall though a very pleasant and comfortable hotel - as you would expect for the price!

We loved our stay here. Fabulous hotel and the staff truly make you feel incredibly welcome. Will definitely return.

Great stay. Large area with generous rooms. Wide variety at breakfast. Extensive gym. Large pool. Location is 5 minutes drive to old town Lagos €5-7 euro taxi ride. Overall excellent.

Die Lage des Cascade Hotels ist ideal. 10 Gehminuten bis zur Ponta da Piedade, 20 Gehminuten bis ins Zentrum von Lagos (5Min. per Taxi).Das Hotel hat in allen Bereichen (Hotelinfrastruktur, Zimmer, Service) einen guten 5-Stern Standard. Insbesondere der Service an der Reception und beim Frühstück sind bemerkenswert. So wird beim (sehr guten) Frühstück sofort nachgedeckt und nachgeschenkt. Das Aufdeckservice im Zimmer überrascht mit kleinen Desserts, alles kommt wie selbstverständlich rüber - auch in sonst sehr guten Häusern keine Selbstverständlichkeit.Summary: absolut empfehlenswert.

Sehr schöne Anlage.Preis-/leistung sehr gut.Hatten aber ein Spezialangebot im April.Lage mitten im Grünen.Taxi ins Zentrum wird aber sogar vergütet.Essen sehr gut,aber auch teuer.

Tres bon hotel, le cadre est superbe et le personnel repond toujours avec gentillesse a nimporte quel question, et trouve toujours une solution rapidement pour régler nimporte quel petit soucis. Restaurant très bien, massage et spa superbe !

This is a great place to stay in Lagos. Its about a 10 minute drive to downtown (6eur taxi), and the hotel has shuttles throughout the day. There is a very nice trail from the hotel that leads to the lighthouse and some of the grottos. The closest beach is about a 15 minute walk, or its the first stop for the hotel shuttle. The staff is great, very friendly. The rooms were spacious, and very comfortable. The restaurant was very good as well. The main pool is excellent, with plenty of chairs. I would absolutely stay here again if we ever return to Lagos.

El hotel es muy comodo y esta muy bien pensado para familias. Las villas son enormes, el personal simpaticos a mas no poder, precios muy aceptables para el tipo de hotel, localizacion inmejorable. Las playas de alrededor son las mejores y sus tres piscinas increibles. Volveremos seguro

Прекрасное место, особенно вне сезона. Своего пляжа нет, но есть бассейн, спа и гольф. И отличный вид. Отель для сдержанных и респектабельных.

So far so good, although everything incl. Water costs a fortune....met some great staff-mainly waiters who were very helpful & very kind!!! Let u know more after we leave..... HOME: back a fortnight now, yes my husband and did enjoy staying at Cascade, their own in house restaurant was exquisite!! There was a night when we had to wait 40mins frm starter to main!?? -When told manager we were given a full evening meal on the house!! Very kind and helpful staff to be fair!! Definately would go back... Got Home safely, and wow what a holiday!! -m Staff were amazing, they helped us many times - from checking times for s=certain things for us on their computer and service at evening meals which were superb by the way!! Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.... Me and my husband will definitely be back, one of the office staff Vera was very helpful, giving us her email address to contact for deals etc. at different times of the year!! Jag kan bara säga positiva saker om hotellet. Rummen var jättefina och fräscha. Vi blev bortskämda med små chokladbitar varje kväll! Jag funderar redan på när jag kan åka tillbaka.

Sehr empfehlenswertes Hotel mit gutem Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis.Servicefreundlichkeit im Restaurant/Bar lässt etwas zu wünschen übrig. Viel aber nicht sehr effizientes Personal. Ausser einem bescheidenen Wellness-Angebot (nur Sauna und Sprudelbad) ist die Infrastruktur Top!

I am just now staying att Cascade. It´s problem with * Internet - its´s realy bad contact and they are doing nothing * the pools are not warm. * the spa is cloosed same days I think there will be things to do for the management!

Es un hotel nuevo, toas las instalaciones nuevas,has tenido varios detalles con nosotros( un cóctel de bienvenida para toda la familia en el bar, frutas en las habitaciones.........,garaje gratis, wi-fi gratis...)A mi me ha gustado mucho, definitivamente volvería.
