Melissa M: If you are wishing to teach English abroad, I would not recommend using this agency. I was teaching in Spain from October 2019 to May 2020 and was contracted through the ErasmusInSchool platform. At the beginning of the year I had to give a €400 deposit that I would get back when I completed the school year. As you all know, the coronavirus struck in March and schools were closed and have still not been re-opened. I wanted to go home but naturally I was worried about the deposit so I awaited instructions from either ErasmusInSchool (who never contacted me at all during the pandemic! My housemates who were contracted by the British council were contacted immediately and told to go home) or my school. My school started advising me to go home so I asked about the deposit and was told that they would speak to ErasmusInSchool about it. Then we found out that I would not be able to get the deposit back unless I stayed contracted until the end of May as originally planned. Personally, I found this absolutely disgusting and shameful. We were in a PANDEMIC, my school were giving me their blessing to go, they no longer were able to pay me my full wages, yet ErasmusInSchool didn’t want to give me MY deposit? I fulfilled all of my duties with the school, I didn’t do anything wrong. The school no longer had the money to pay me my full wages anymore so they were halved. I was living on €250 a month. My rent was €135 a month (not including bills). ErasmusInSchool put me in a horrible position financially and mentally. They should have had the decency to just give me MY money back in considering the extraordinary circumstances. So through this review I would simply like to warn potential language assistants about the establishment. In my opinion, ErasmusInSchool looks out for the interest of the schools, not the language assistants. The fact that I had to give a “deposit” at the beginning should have been a warning sign. In what other job is that normal? With that being said, I would like to mention that my school is not to blame here at all. They were very helpful and supportive. I feel so let down by this agency. Being stuck in a foreign country with such little money, unable to get back to my home country was the worst and most difficult time of my life. I view the fact that they couldn’t give me my money back before the end of May (and didn’t contact me at all during the whole pandemic) utterly shambolic. I am writing this because I really don’t want this to happen anyone else. Be very wary of looking for work abroad through this agency. I wouldn’t not recommend them at all. 0/5.

Estive aqui uma vez e adorei. O meu marido deu-me um vale-presente de 100 dólares no Natal e eu só o tirei para poder planear um dia de diversão. Expirou.... 3 meses depois de ele o ter comprado. Quem lhe dá 3 meses para usar um certificado de presente 15 Sem mencionar que parti o meu pé em 2 lugares em Janeiro, por isso sair não foi fácil. Tão chateado. 3 meses....wth.

Eu estava no Home Depot e vi uma placa que dizia que eles tinham uma porta de garagem à venda. Eles tinham a placa de infra-vermelhos das portas e também tinham mais de uma porta. Fui à frente para arranjar alguém para me ajudar com o artigo. Fui até a escrivaninha para pagar o item e aqui vamos nós, não é o item que está à venda. Alguém cometeu um erro e não retirou a placa. Pedi a um gerente que ela chamou outra loja, mas é claro que não tinham mais nenhuma das portas. Mas, eu tenho o preço e as portas bem aqui na minha frente, eu tenho que pagar pelos erros de seus funcionários. Seria fantástico se eu pudesse passar os meus erros no trabalho para outra pessoa, mas não posso!! A coisa certa a fazer teria sido honrar o preço no autocolante em frente aos artigos. Em vez disso, foi-me dito que eu não podia ter a porta para o preço na frente das portas. Acho que os mil dólares de dallors que gastei no Home Depot são tão valiosos quanto eu pensava. Eu também deveria pagar pelos meus erros no Home Depot. Acho que o meu dinheiro não é valioso. Acho que preciso de começar a olhar para o LOWES!
