I have a birthday today and this trip is the present for me from my husband. O Castelo is the real Castle and the perfect place for us to celebrate and enjoy today. The administrator and the cleaning lady are very cute, they have just brought a flower and the pink wine for me as a birthday present. Also it is the best place for watching sunrise, doing yoga and listening to the sound of ocean waves. We've decided to stay one more extra night.

O Castello Guest House was a great location and the staff was exceptional. We had an excellent view of the beach and coast from our balcony. Breakfast was wonderful. The room was spacious. The towels were large and soft and the bed was very comfortable, unlike many other places where weve stayed over the past 6 weeks traveling in Portugal. I cant say enough about how helpful Carla was with helping to arrange bus transportation to Spain. It was above and beyond. We plan to stay here again when we come back to the Algarve.

Simpele kamer, was de laatste, aan de achterkant, er zijn ook mooie kamers met balkon, pal aan zee. Prachtig en betaalbaar.

Un hotel fantástico, con una gente maravillosa. Unas vistas al mar espectacular. Hay una cocina ofice equipada con todo, que se puede usar. Nosotros nos preparábamos el desayuno y desayunabamos en la ventana con vistas al mar. Hay habitaciones de distintos tamaños, algunas con grandes terrazas. Precio calidad muy bueno. El paisaje y la gastronomía estupenda. Aconsejo hacer la ruta del los 7 valles suspendidos.

Rozkošný penzion s krásným výhledem. Všichni jsou tu moc milí a ochotní, pokoje jsou čisté, snídaně skvělé. Za mě plný počet hvězdiček a ráda se sem někdy vrátím. Carvoeiro je malebné městečko plné výborných restaurací, výhledů, ideální výchozí bod pro výlety po Algarve.

The room was very pretty (pink motif), quiet, spacious, comfortable, and clean and had a balcony overlooking the sea. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were pleasantly surprised by the high quality and low cost of the Guest House.

Maison hotel avec petite chambre mais bien equipee frigo bouilloire pas loin de la plage et du bruit du centre ..personnel de chambre adorable .Seul bemol pas possible de prendre le petit dejeuner a notre choix , c est tout ou rien .

Was O Castello perfect? No....but awful darn good and every other guest I spoke to said the same. Perfectly located and easily accessed in a lovely village with great restaurants only a few minutes walk away. And what a view from clean and well-appointed rooms managed by attentive staff. Truly a bargain at any price and an ideal romantic escape.

The guest house in a great location, overlooking the ocean . Carvoiero is a fabulous place, lots of wonderful restaurants,The cliff trails are fun to hike, amazing views of the ocean ,Great cliffs with caves carved out into the rocks in the ocean . Many beaches along the shoreline. There are many day boat trips to see the caves and dolphins.Enjoy

Loved this place. People were so nice and breakfast was delicious. All of the rooms seem to have a sea view and balcony, and it is a great view. Two beaches and lots of restaurants within walking distance. Good location to explore the surrounding area with a car.

Tolle Lage direkt an Steilküste und Strand, den man direkt von seinem Balkon aus sehen kann. Das Interieur ist bereits etwas in die Jahre gekommen und bedürfte dringend einer Auffrischung. Das gilt auch für die sanitären Einrichtungen - zumindest in unserem Zimmer. Da die Räume für den Preis recht klein sind würde ich das Haus nur für einen Kurztrip empfehlen - der Balkon und die Aussicht sind es wert.

Castelo Guest House is a charming and cozy property that is PERFECTLY situated along the Carvoeiro seaside. The rooms with the terrace are absolutely incredibly - imagine waking up every day to a gorgeous ocean view and soothing sounds of ocean waves. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The property is well maintained and comfortable. As is reasonable for a B&B, dont expect the amenities you would get at a hotel. We didnt purchase the breakfast plan, but the buffet breakfast looked delicious. If youre looking for affordable, comfortable, and incredible views - you cant do any better than Castelo Guest House.

I cant imagine a better view than from the room at Castelo Guest House. The room was simple, very clean and well furnished. The area was very safe and just beautiful. The service was kind, helpful and not overbearing. While there is no reserved parking available, it was not an issue parking on the street during October. I would return whole heartedly without hesitation.

It felt like we were at someone’s house! Everyone was so friendly and it is a beautiful property with an amazing view! The breakfast is an additional charge...but, worth it.Loved staying here!!

I hate seeing all these happy people giving them glowing reviews because I won't be able to get a room next time I want to book. Easily the best place to stay in carvoeiro. Views are amazing, hospitality is tremendously professional, easily a 5 star hotel. Quaint and somewhat secluded on side of a hill gives it charm. Tough walk up after a day on the beach is the only downfall. The restaurant's in town are excellent. The breakfast on the balcony is great, but only one table has a great view so getting up early is a plus. Overall a gem!!

Hôtel avec un super bon emplacement, chambre propre, équipé d'un frigo.
A quelques pas de l'océan, belle vue.
Petite soirée sympa car place animée ce soir la par un concert.
La douche en plastique, et trop petite. Pas pratique
Les toilettes avec le plafond bas pas top
Le jour dans la chambre car pas de volets sur la fenêtre et porte de la chambre vitrée donc la lumière du jour passe. Et un peu de bruit le matin.

Cette pension bénéficie dun emplacement extraordinaire qui lui donne tout son attrait : quasiment toutes les chambres bénéficient dune belle terrasse avec une vue magnifique la plage dont on ne se lasse pas.Cependant, quelques désagréments inadmissibles vu le prix : dinsupportables odeurs de canalisation dans la salle de bain (qui simprègnent dans les serviettes), une faible isolation phonique (réveillés dès 7h par le bruit du personnel préparant le petit déjeuner), et une décoration qui mériterait dêtre mise au goût du jour.Le personnel est très accueillant et attentif, cependant lorganisation est assez rigide : les petits déjeuners doivent être réservés à lavance en indiquant également lheure précise.Une pension qui fait donc cher payer son emplacement, les prestations ne sont vraiment pas à la hauteur du tarif.

Tolles Zimmer mit Meerblick!
Für das Frühstück hätte man sich anmelden müssen... satte 30 Minuten hat man dann morgens Zeit auf dem Balkon sein Frühstück zu "genießen"
Im Urlaub will man entspannen und nicht so gestresst sein.

Wow!Pensiunea este o casa cocheta ce seamana cu un castel ,avand turnulete mici in care sunt bagate lumanari .Este pozitionat pe drumul ce trece deasupra peretelui de stancă din partea dreapta a plajei din Carvoeiro.Privelistea este minunata! !!!Camerele sunt curate,moderne, terasa pt mic dejun este spre plaja. Personalul fff dragut si de ajutor. Cazati -va la acest hotel si veti gasi tot ce aveti nevoie pt o vacanta perfecta!

- Meeresrauschen (bei geöffneter Terrassentür)
Contra:
- Mangelarbeiten während der Mittagszeit (verbunden mit leichter Ruhestörung)
- Lautstärke der Strandmeile bei Nacht nicht ganz vermeidbar (kann störend wirken)
Fazit:
Wir würden wieder kommen und waren sehr zufrieden. Ausblick und Lage toppen jegliche Beeinträchtigungen um Längen. Kein preislicher 'Schnapper' in der Hauptsaison.

Stayed at Castello guest house for 5 nights.
+ AC, much appreciated during hot days
+ Beautiful view and terrace (room 3)
+ Excellent breakfast, had everything except Swedish hard bread
+ Very nice staff
... and some thoughts about Carvoeiro:
- Best beach is the Praia do Paraiso, 5 minutes walk to the west. Very few people there.
- Praia de Vale Centeanes 10 minutes by car to the east is also a nice beach.
- Not many great restaurants around. One that stands out is Terroir, good food and wine.
... And the Algarve coast:
- From Pera and east to Faro only crowded beaches with little charm.
- From Benagil and west to Sagres the villages and beaches are much more cosier. Carvoeiro and Lagos are two good options.
- A nice beach close to Raposeira (near Vila do Bispo) is Praia do Zavial.
- Drive west to the spectacular beach Praia da Arrifana and Praia da Bordeira on the west coast.

Imagens das vistas para a praia não englobam o fio eléctrico que está na rua e estraga toda a excelente vista para a praia.
Possivelmente foi utilizado o photoshop para 'remover' o fio. Imagens que indiciam publicidade enganosa.
Quem não ligar a esse 'pormaior', recomendo.
