We had a fabulous time with such a generous family. When we arrived it looked like a car park by a road, fine for one night. But soon we fell in love with the place and our hosts. They welcomed us in our large motorhome for a few days on their car park (by the road indeed so not perfectly quiet but we slept fine) providing us with electrics and water. They even opened their table and we shared delicious meals and rich discussions in English, in French, and a tiny bit in our very new Portuguese. Our kids loved being around the dogs, the cats and the hens and just exploring the land freely in the good company of their new Portuguese friends! If you happen to be in Tomar (maybe to visit the Covento de Cristo, the barragem of Castelo do Bode or the Aqueduc des Pegões) go to stay or to get some organic eggs, vegetables, jam or fruits and spend quality time at a quinta das Lameiras!

Fantastic family-run organic farm - delivers to Lisbon or pick up straight from their door! Our vegetables were incredibly fresh and delicious and they also supply tofu, cous cous, quinoa and other grains.
