Nice bar but more of a sports bar than an Irish bar. The handrail going down the stairs has a small bar welded to side of it, which took a lump out of my finger.

Great sports bar showing all the events you need. Friendly staff.
Serves up a decent pint of Guinness. Hot homemade food served. Outside seating. Pool table inside. Nice and warm in the winter months.

Amazing place in Alvor to watch football! Get a wee drink or two! Would highly recommend this place! Very enjoyable!

You wouldn't realise you are not in a pub in Ireland until you saw the prices on the menu. You get a proper plate of food at really good prices. Very lively and friendly staff who seem to love their work.

Bit disappointed with surly staff for an Irish bar. Also expensive. The Lounge round the corner much more friendly and welcoming

Not only the best Irish pub in Alvor it's the best pub in Alvor. They have great staff and there's always a nice atmosphere here. They also serve good food all day.

A lovely Irish Pub to visit - lovely simple food at a very reasonable price - was assured that the Guinness wasn't too bad either - well worth a visit if in Alvor

Now this is an Irish bar . Friendly service. All the food looked good and the burgers are great. Home made . Can't beat that.

Great bar for football numerous screens got a duff pint but barman changed it no problem in centre of alvor quaint Portuguese village loved it

Fantastic staff.. Fantastic hospitality.. Its just good Irish craic for all Nationalitys to have a good time.. I nearly forgot the food is 5 star.. Ps don't forget to ask for Bruno.. The manager.. Top Man

Myself and my partner went into the black stove for a few drinks and watch some football. After one drink they turned the fans off ( we're slow drinkers) which was directly above us, each time a staff member passed they looked at our drink. Will not return to this pub.

I normally try to avoid Irish bars while I'm away but this is a great spot to watch the hurling during the summer with a few cold beers.

Walked in. Only 2 other patrons. 2 people working. TotLly ignored us. After sitting for 10 minutes went to bar to order. We were going to eat here but not now

Great Irish bar with good music food and atmosphere also of course the Guinness, the male bartender was also entertaining with his bottle juggling they were quick and efficient friendly staff.

Disappointed as was expecting home cooked food. Fish and chips we had were cooked from frozen and the wine at over 3 euros a glass was the most we have paid in Alvor.

This is the biggest Irish pub we found in alvor. Always busy. There's a singer guitarist on 6 nights a week and a duo the 7th.

Great bar with a good selection of beers.good to watch sports (was watching the New Zealand Lions tour there at the time) live acts oftwn on at night.

Rowdy Irish bar with live music and sport. Not my cup of tea, a bit on the riff raff side. Reminds me of the Old Oak in Cork. There are far better bars in town like the sunset bar, hickeys and the church bar to name just a few.

Spot on for some good drinks food and live sports especially racing been over for the derby day last 2 years just like been back at home watching it in your local .

Third attempt to try and review this great bar. We visited for lunch/snack and went back in the evening. Great live music. A super young and very efficient barman ( he will go places) almost ran the bar. We were very impressed. We generally don't go to Irish Bars, but this one is well worth a visit
