Há muito tempo que não visitava um restaurante onde fosse tão mal tratado e tão mal recebido! Serviço horrível, um baixo nível por parte dos empregados de mesa inacreditável. Pareceu-me o regresso aos anos 80 em que havia o complexo de inferioridade dos portugueses perante o resto do mundo. É mesmo isso, um monte de gente com complexo de inferioridade disfarçado de altivez. E, perante indignação, a mesma desculpa de sempre: não temos gente suficiente. Ah, já agora, se tiverem crianças pequenas, fujam para longe! Não são claramente benvindas.

If you love steak this is the place to go! In my case I tried the cod fish and it was just ok. The provoleta was delicious and the 3 desserts place was the best: cheesecake, chocolate mouse and Apple crumble

A sala não condiz com a qualidade da carne , péssima acústica parece uma tasca, necessita algum requinte e conforto para igualar o preço qualidade, serviço um pouco atrapalhado, tirando a boa qualidade da carne o resto tem de ser alterado para se equiparar à boa qualidade dos outros Butchers.

A comida é deliciosa, a sangria e as sobremesas igualmente. O serviço foi rápido e o staff bastante simpático e atencioso. Tivemos azar por termos apanhado 3 grupos de mesas grandes neste dia pelo que o ambiente estava muito barulhento.

Tudo espetacular, começando pelo atendimento, o serviço é rápido e de qualidade. Carne tenra e suculenta, com um sabor magnífico. As sobremesas são todas caseiras, e também muito boas.
Eu comi um T bone, e para terminar a refeição uma triologia, onde junta as 3 melhores sobremesas do restaurante.

If you love meat and aren't on a tight budget, look no further.
The meat is really good. There's a great atmosphere and good service. There's other options (like fish, vegetarian burger..) for people who are not into meat. The deserts are amazing. The prices are a bit on the higher end for around 20€ per person with side dish.
4,5* - The only thing I can complain is that the vegetarian burger is frozen and not home-made. I understand it's a meat restaurant but my friend should have received a dish as fresh as mine. Frozen burger (even thoug h the best you can buy on the supermarket) in a quality restaurant like this, shouldn't be acceptable.

Pour manger une super cote de bœuf ou un bon T.bone vous devez venir au Butchers qui propose différentes viandes mais surtout une très bonne viande de boeuf . Les prix sont relativement élevés mais ça vaut vraiment le coup. Mais il est préférable de réserver à l’avance

Sou cliente frequente no da Expo e arrisco-me a dizer que a única vez que vim a este, superou na qualidade da comida, parabéns. Não esquecer que surpreender uma vez é fácil, manter a mesma qualidade é que será o desafio, especialmente no Algarve com a rotação de staff que vejo nos outros sítios.

Best steak ever.
My partner and I ate here for our last meal in Portugal before heading home, and boy were we in for a treat.
Bearing in mind it was mid-January, mid-week and early in the evening, the restaurant was surprisingly busy. We laughed off the receptionist at our hotel who suggested booking a table, and felt embarrassed when we did - thinking it would be empty. But on arrival we were glad we did.
The establishment didn’t look much from the outside, but once inside the decor was fantastic. We sat near some unused stairs, and the concrete/wood textures throughout felt very modern. The drinks menu was impressive, just as the quality of their cocktails. My partner enjoyed a glass of white wine with his meal, and later a cheeky margarita as I wolfed down a desert.
But to the steak. My partner ordered a sirloin, medium, with chips and a bernaise sauce. It was a few moments coming to the table, which wasn’t a problem for us, especially as it tasted so good. Having eaten at places in London such as Hawksmoor and Flat Iron, he was very impressed - suggesting it could be the best steak he has ever eaten. The portion looked small but was very filling. The chips were delicious too.
I had a fish with some sweet potato fries, and it too was delicious - but the focus at this restaurant is clearly steak. A 10/10 must-visit for meat eaters in Faro.
Best advice: Book a table in advance!

Experiência horrivel, péssimo serviço. O vinho estava estragado, pedimos para abrir outra garrafa, o empregado sugeriu outro vinho, como se desse a entender que o vinho estava bom. Trocamos de vinho, este também estava estragado. O empregado ainda fez uma piada sobre o assunto. Deplorável. Os bifes vieram mal feitos, demasiado passados, completamente secos e nem quente estavam, como se tivessem ficado em cima do balcão à espera. A não repetir.

Wow just found this place through recommendation. No creature comforts here, wooden tables etc, but the emphasis is on great food, the steak was incredible. Highly recommend a visit if you are in Quinta de Lago.

Brilliant place to go for a steak or a burger! The sweet potato fries are also insane! I had the chicken breast and that was also pretty good, coming with salad and sweet potato fries. The desserts were also quite nice, I had the apple crumble which had a lovely taste of cinnamon too. It was very busy so at times the staff were a bit late, for example I had to ask for ketchup a few times before they brought it, but you expect that when it is busy. Nice atmosphere for friends or family, it can get a little loud but that's just part of the fun! Would recommend for a fun family/friends meal out!

Não sendo a primeira vez que vou a este restaurante desta vez fiquei um pouco desiludida. A carne estava óptima e o ambiente e decoração também mas senti falta daquele tratamento mais cuidadoso e atencioso da parte do staff que senti das últimas vezes. Pedimos cafés e entanto fui à casa de banho, não me apercebi que faltava o meu café, pedi mais um café logo depois e disseram que a máquina já estava desligada. Não é que seja algo muito importante mas foi a atitude.

Мясо было довольно вкусным, но... не на 5 звезд. Увы... Персонал старался, все были милы и отзывчивы, но забыли сначала принести заказаную выпивку , а затем вазу для цветов. Неорганизованы. Слишком много людей обслуживают один столик. Мне показалось, что все официанты обслуживали все столы.
Десерт понравился всем, за десерт 4 звезды!
Не вернемся.

Great service and location. House wine was surprisingly good (I normally never order house). Steaks were cooked perfectly and very tasty aps were the sides. We will definitely be back. Make sure you book because this place gets super busy

The service was very low. We booked a table outside and when we arrived we were asked to wait inside for our table .. after 30min they got us a table inside. We ordered our food, waited almost for 2h as they seem to prioritize the people outside. We called a waitress once, she even ignored us. Nobody was amazed by the food, only the picanha was very good. At the end.. they even charged us food and drinks that we haven’t ordered and when we claimed.. we got a rude response as the error it is normal because of their system. We wish their system also charged less once in a while.. unfortunately, we will not repeat!

Já fui diversas vezes a este restaurante e foi sempre uma surpresa agradável, tanto em almoços de amigos como em aniversários e fiquei sempre bem impressionada. Espaço amplo e elegante, com um menu bastante variado, que vai desde a sua especialidade em carnes maturadas até ao menu para vegetarianos, todos bastante saborosos. As entradas são bastante boas, as batatas doces fritas também, para além dos hambúrgueres com carne maturada. O staff é simpático e acessível e as sobremesas deliciosas. A última vez que lá fui, pedi para fazerem uma surpresa a uma amiga que fazia anos e fiquei bastante agradada quando vi a "sobremesa parabéns" que lhe tinham preparado! Relação qualidade/preço acima da média, mas vale a pena experimentar ou ir numa ocasião especial e aos almoços têm o menu do dia que fica bem mais acessível!

What a fantastic restaurant. The service was sublime, the price was very reasonable for the quantity and quality of the food, and the steak I had (the Tenderloin) was the BEST steak I have ever had, it was absolutely delicious and tender. A very comfortable restaurant, great atmosphere, with exceptional quality beef. Doesn't matter if you order a burger or a Ribeye steak they will both be the best you have tasted. If you don't want beef, or even meat there are other great options as well.
Why only 4 stars, well the wine list is exceptionally long and complicated, as is the menu and so ordering takes longer than it should. The staff are great, friendly and helpful, possibly not enough of them as the service can become very slow.
The food is worth the wait actually but it doesn't seem like that at the time.
I have been once for lunch and twice for dinner. Lunch was no problem and the first visit for dinner left me singing praises for Butcher's to anyone who would listen. The second dinner visit, accompanied by 7 of those I had recommended it to dragged on for ages and no obvious reason why.

Good beef well cooked, but colder than it should have been by the time it got to the table, serving staff a little disorganised but friendly. Not a personal fan of the sweet potato fries, but my colleague liked them.

Fabulous beef, cooked beautifully (caution they cook beef French style - which I like) but medium is still pink.
They don't have a separate kids menu (although I think they should) which means that many burgers are only half eaten.
Staff are friendly but very busy which resulted in our meal being very late (and hangry kids).
Will I go again? Probably as the food IS good, but will take more care to ensure that our meal is not late.

We had dinner here when they had just opened in late April. Everything was fabulous: the meal/meat, the ambiance and the staff is friendly and attentive. Would definitely eat here again!
