Unfortunately we were only there for one night and wished we had a longer stay. The hotel is very charming and well appointed. The service was excellent and the breakfast was terrific. The view was lovely. Our only complaint was that there were not enough outlets to plug in all of our phones, tablets etc.

We spent the last night of our 2-week trip through Portugal in this hotel. The place is gorgeous. The view from the terrace is incredible. We only had a few hours there and instantly wished we had booked a few nights instead. We had to leave very early and the staff went out of their way to provide early breakfast and airport transportation for us. We will be back.

A superb hotel overlooking Lisbon. The room was amazing, spacious and pristine. The staff were professional, friendly and I was well looked after on my birthday with a free bottle of red wine. I would highly recommend this place and would stay again. There is ample parking on the street and on the hotel grounds.

Séduisant.
Cet hôtel conjugue avec élégance la rigueur d'un établissement haut de gamme avec la convivialité d'une maison d'hôtes. Les prestations sont de grande qualité et le personnel aussi attentif que charmant.
Une suggestion: mettre à la disposition des clients un pass pour le funiculaire permettant un accès aisé depuis le centre.

Fantastisch hotel!
Door de ligging op de heuvel kijk je over een prachtige stad. Het hotel is heel smaakvol ingericht en de mensen die er werken zijn erg vriendelijk en gastvrij. Ik had het niet beter kunnen treffen. Je kunt er ook nog eens heerlijk eten. Echt een aanrader. Als ik weer naar Lissabon ga wil ik daar weer slapen !

Nous avons bien été accueilli dans ce superbe hôtel romantique. Nous avons adoré le service du petit déjeuner au soleil sur la terrasse avec vue sur Lisbonne. Également service agréable de boissons au bord de la piscine en après midi. Nous avons vraiment apprécié la gentillesse de tout le personnel.
La chambre était propre, spacieuse, lumineuse avec un balcon. Le service de chambre est impeccable.
Nous avons beaucoup aimé le verre de bienvenue.
Petit bémol sur la literie.
Nous reviendrons avec beaucoup de plaisir.

Our room was exceptionally light, airy and beautifully decorated. I could happily have lived there, Each of the front desk staff went out of their way to be helpful. A truly lovely hotel with a view to the sea and a swimming pool and easy access into the main part of town.

J’ai tout aimé, un parfait séjour dans un parfait hôtel ! Le personnel est très accueillant et bienveillant, aux petits soins avec leurs clients. Il est très bien situé, à quelques minutes du quartier Barrio Alto, LE quartier pour se trouver un restaurant et/ou aller danser ! Et surtout un très bel hôtel avec beaucoup de charmes, qui offre une vue très jolie sur Lisbonne ! Possibilité de prendre le petit déjeuner au soleil sur leur terrasse rooftop, que demander de plus... Merci pour ce séjour !!!!

Lovely hotel. Beautiful decor, staff were friendly and helpful and room was clean and well presented. Location was quite good - not far from town, but up a steep hill. Only downside was some building works next door which were a little noisy in the mornings, but the builders didn't seem to be working at the weekend so wasn't a problem Saturday or Sunday morning.

Torel palace has beautiful rooms and beautiful view over Lisbon. Also i could feel evry staffs have warm-heart and kind so they cared us delicately. The room was quite spacious and cozy at the same time, beautiful but well equied bathroom and most of all it has breath taking view that i didn’t want to leave the room. Hotel itself is not big, but it feels like i have my own castle. Definitely recommend and hope to visit soon again.

Everything was exquisite. Far better than we imagined as we made preparations back in New York. Everything was delightful and well above and beyond our expectations.
Sofia, Eleanor, Alex and Rita took care of us from the moment we arrived. Can't say enough about how wonderful they were.We were directed immediately to a beautiful little room around the corner where we were offered a drink of our choice which we readily accepted, while they checked us in and delivered our luggage to our room.
Too tired for stairs there is a charming little black elevator that we took to the second floor. A dimly lit hallway with lovely mirrors, sweet ambiance..around the corner to a room that was perfect. A balcony looking out onto the white stone paved arrival area below, the swimming pool off to the left and of course a beautiful view of Lisbon directly in front of us. Everything restored or furnished so thoughtfully and and then quiet and a very comfortable room where we slept off our jet lag.
Initially we were a bit sorry that it rained for the first 24 hours of our trip but we thought afterward how it was rather a happy accident in that we were confined to the hotel where we could continue to be treated like royalty. There is an inviting little bar where you can sit and perhaps sip on cognac and strum the guitar that is leaning against the wall for all to play.
Excellent breakfast buffet each morning. The dining room staff were so kind and attentive, (do I dare to try and spell their names) Tripti and Goma?
Will happily return next time we are in Lisbon. Thank you to all

Wunderbar gelegenes Hotel mit spektakulärem Blick über die Stadt. Die Zimmer sind geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sauber. Das Personal des Hotels ist kompetent und sehr freundlich, Englisch wird überall verstanden. Ein Spitzenrestaurant ist im Haus, auch sonst ist das Angebot für Frühstück und Abendessen gut. An der Poolbar kann man den Abend ausklingen lassen. Eine Empfehlung, auch bei dem aufgerufenen Preis.

Warm welcome, amazing cosy place overlooking Downtown Lisbon. This is a gem in the middle of the city. We were supposed to stay for one night. We stayed 3 and we even came back the night prior to our flight back home.
Quiet Nights as well.
Lovely breakfast, excellent and very professional service.
We very highly recommend.

We stayed at Tore Palace for the first week of January. From when we arrived until our departure we were very much pleased with staff und accommodations. We even got an upgrade. I did some pictures. I can only recommend Tore palace. The price is worth it. Would come again ;)

J'ai passé un excellent séjour à l'hôtel Torel Palace. Il est idéalement situé et réserve une vue d'ensemble sur tout Lisbonne. Les membres de l'hôtel sont aux petits soins et en ce sens, l'hôtel ne démérite pas ses 5 étoiles. Un hôtel aux couleurs chaleureuses qui rappelent celles de la ville et la décoration est atypique. Je le recommande vivement.

La contrepartie du charme du bâtiment est qu’il n’est pas très bien isolé du bruit. Si vos voisins sont respectueux, pas de problème même si on entend les portes, pas, plancher qui grince....

Dimora storica ristrutturata con grande gusto, servizio ineccepibile, tranquillo, panoramico, bellissima location e collocato strategicamente al centro. Unico problema per chi non sia motorizzato o ben in forma, dopo le otto di sera, quando termina il servizio tram, è necessario fare a piedi una scalinata molto ripida per tornare all’albergo. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. In estate ha anche una piscina panoramica

Definitely an "under construction" vibe to it. Construction banging first thing in the morning, restaurant randomly closed one night. You stay at a boutique hotel to enjoy the property.... and I feel some of that got taken away. Staff was lovely. Top notch patio and bar. Excellent service and cleanliness. Breakfast a stone rip off. Not included, hideously expensive.It is so close to being a five star experience worth going out of your way for. But there are some misses.

Nice place I stayed there few times it has a nice view and nice swimming pool though the floors can be noisy st 10 am if you are sleeping by that time ., from the wood but it’s an old building with its old charm . They have parking for cars not free unfortunately . It cost like between 12- 15 euros . You defensively need a car to go there or any where cause it’s up on hill or you just take Uber .i like the hotel I would definitely stay in it again it’s romantic with a girlfriend . Some rooms has a balcony u can smoke whatever to stay in the mode .

I represent a wedding planning company in Lisbon (Muza Weddings) that works with Torel in a partnership. We bring them clients from our couple’s wedding guests and our client’s get a better rate and that value has a fee that reverts to us. Their comercial department don’t communicate, they take ages to reply and after one bad experience we thought about give it a second try. We recommended it for a big group for about one week accommodation and after all the reservations being made (although we asked three times before) they replied that if we wanted to receive commission we should had included that on the client’s price as before we had the information that after the booking if you get your comission. They didn’t solved the situation or cared about having a solution or some way of keeping our interest of working with them. Is is a luxury hotel that should have a more reliable process and care with their partners. Don’t work with them for business. Although they are a very nice hotel is not a good option if you are looking for a respectable and pleasant experience between two companies. They are not reliable and don’t work based on honesty.

We had a lovely stay there. The view was very nice, the rooms are beautifully done and the staff is excellent. the location is very central and we walked everywhere but you do have to go up and down hills but then that's Lisbon. Everyone treated us as special guests and were always pleasant and helpful.

The staff are great, friendly and always helpful. We had a problem and had to return to Lisbon unexpectedly. They were incredibly helpful. The pool side bar service didn't hurt either. The funnicular to the hotel is never crowded either.

Torel Palace was incredible! The staff was wonderful and went above and beyond to make us feel special. They even gave us a bottle of wine to celebrate our engagement. The property itself is so beautiful I didn't want to leave. I will definitely stay here again on future trips to Lisbon!

The Torel Palace Lisboa is an oasis of peace. It's located on a little hill where you can oversee a beautiful part of the city. It's really peacefull and quiet. All of the people which work for the hotel are really nice, welcomeing and helpfull. During check-in they explain you the whole hotel and lisboa. The hotel is in a good shape and the room are realy comfy. The light in the bathroom is a little bit dim, but except that i can't complain. The hotel offers a nice pool with relaxx are. Next time i'll visit lisboa, i will choose this hotel again.

This property is so beautiful and serene in a busy city. We wish we could have stayed longer. Our room was spacious and had an amazing view and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay great. Our only negative was that we stayed on a Monday and the fine dining restaurant was closed. The cafe was still open but our food was not great - if there on a Monday, consider going out to one of Lisbon's great restaurants!

The Torel Palace was the perfect choice of Hotel for our five night stay in Lisbon. It was a short walk out of town, about 15 minute walk from Parco Do Comercio and the riverbank, but very close to restaurants and shops. The location suited us as it was quiet and, being a little above Avenida Liberace with views of the River Tejo it benefited from a cooling breeze. It is a small, but very classy hotel with a lovely pool and garden with a number of shady spots to relax in the evening after a day exploring the wonderful city of Lisbon. We had a lovely, well designed suite with everything you could wish for and it was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and eggs prepared to order. We ate lunch at the Hotel once and it was well presented, tasty and reasonably priced. The best thing of the Hotel though,was it’s wonderful staff. They could not do enough to please their guests and were always very friendly and helpful. We shall be back!

I think it is the best hotel in Lisbon. It is located on one of the hulls with a fabulous view of the old City. The hotel is made in two old buildings but totally renovated. The staff is fantastic and will make sure your stay is perfect. I highly recommend this Hotel.

Well. Let me tell you! For 220 Euros per night your toilet might be in a living room without doors, just curtains with amazing chandelier. It’s is such an unique design as they say. The buildings are old. They were build in 1902 so you can hear your neighbors walking, talking and even going to the bathroom. The girl at check in didn’t do right scan of my daughters passport, she was bothering me after by the pool, so I have to bring passport again. Housekeepers can leave their cell phones in your room. There might not be towels by the pool or any staff around. I’m sooo sad I’ve picked that hotel. And I was reading reviews!!! Location ppl says amazing. It’s located on the hill with amazing views but it’s 300 steps!!! If you have kids or old to climb up and down you should not pick this hotel. It’s not worth your money. You can always stop here, take a picture and leave!

The hotel has very nice locatiton, excellent terrace with breathtaking view over Lisbon and excellent pool area. Staff is very pleasant and helpfull.Two bedroom apartment appear a bit tired especially at master bathroom area. You should be aware that you would need walk up to the hill all the time whcih was not problem for us at all. If you stay at apartment at 3f floo, it does not have elevator and you may ask help from staff what they always happy to do. Overall I liked the location and especially personnel.

Where to start! From the minute we walked in this hotel was exceptional. The hotel is stunningly beautiful, with stylish rooms, outdoor terrace and pool - plus amazing views across Lisbon. On arrival we were greeted by friendly staff who offered us drinks on the terrace and looked after everything for us - truly going above and beyond. We got engaged on the terrace and the manager of the hotel organised everything - she even came in on her day off to sort things out for the proposal! They made it such a memorable stay and we can’t wait to come back every year. THANK YOU!!!!

O terraço do Torel Palace é provavelmente uma das melhores vistas sobre a cidade. É um espaço excelente para passar um final de tarde. Tive a sorte de a experiência vir acompanhada de fantásticas iguarias. Destaco o bacalhau à Brás, choco frito e a Bola de Deus.

Das Hotel liegt etwas erhöht und ist mit einem Elevator (=Berg-Trambahn) (fährt nur bis 20:00 Uhr) sehr gut zu erreichen. Alternativ kann man ein Taxi für unter 5 Euro (Stand 2017) nehmen oder ca. 200 Stufen nach oben gehen.Der Ausblick von oben ist überragend. Das familiengeführte Team ist aussergewöhnlich und liest jeden Wunsch von den Augen ab. Bei Ankunft wird man mit einem kostenfreien Begrüßungsdrink auf der Terasse (super Ausblick gleich zu Beginn !) überrascht. Im Zimmer stehen Wasser und Äpfel kostenfrei bereit. Sonst beinhaltet das Zimmer alles, was in der Beschreibung aufgeführt ist.Das Zimmer ist liebevoll ausgestattet und hatte einen kleinen, aber netten, Mini-Balkon.Das Frühstück besteht u.a. aus verschiedensten Broten und diversen süßen Gebäckstücken und Kuchen. Dazu verschiedene Käsesorten, Lachs, verschiedene Schinken, div. Marmeladen und Honig. Frisch angerichtene verschiedene Früchten und Säfte stehen bereit. Darüber hinaus werden verschiedene Eierspeisen & Co unmittelbar zubereitet. Über oben genannten Elevator und die nahe gelegene Metro-Station Avenida erreicht man alle wichtigen Ziele. In ca. 10 Gehminuten (inkl. ca. 200 Stufen nach unten) erreicht man die Fußgängerzone.Wichtige Info zum Klima: Es wehte ein stetiger Wind. Am Tag wird es bei Sonnenschein ziemlich heiß, am Abend (nach Sonnenuntergang) kühlt es jedoch merklich ab, da der Wind nicht nachlässt. Eine Jacke ist dann empfehlenswert.

had a weekend stay here...the service was first class, very friendly and helpful staff....the bedroom was immaculate with a modern well equipped en suite...arrived early morning and was given a room on arrival breakfast was amazing, everything you could want....there is a safe place to leave your luggage on your departure day if you want to go out for that day...all in all, a perfect stay in the heart of Lisbon...cannot praise the hotel any higher than I have...we loved it...will certainly return.....

Where taste is home. If you are looking for THE special place in Lisbon, this is it. The view, the garden, the swimming pool overlooking the city, the interior and especially the personal touch and style in every single detail. Hôtel de charme très sympa (à mon avis , à conseiller plus aux beaux jours, pour profiter du cadre, de lespace, de la piscine en centre ville).Petit bémol, malgré un emplacement central, il faut beaucoup grimper pour y accéder (possibilité en payant de prendre un petit tramway qui vous emmène pratiquement à la porte). Mais si on veut sortir le soir,... Il ya toujours les taxis.Avantage : le calme, le charme, le personnel.

Friendly, fast staff. Comfortable and spacious apartments, the View is terrible but the overall comfy and cozy atmosphere of the hotel makes up for it.

Lisboa ist toll! Atmosphäre, Kultur und sehr gutes Essen. Was will man mehr? Ein tolles Hotel! Das Torel Palaca ist super! Übersichtlich - nur 27 Zimmer - ausgesprochen hilfsbereites Personal - egal ob an der Rezeption oder im Service - das Torel Palace wird unsere erste Wahl für Aufenthalte in Lisboa!

The Hotel Torel is ideally placed - very central above the Baixa part of town. The view from the terrace and pool is wonderful. The buildings have classic exteriors and renovated interiors. The staff are extremely helpful and make your stay a real pleasure.

Posto molto bello. Trattasi di piccolo boutique hotel con camere, alcune, vista città e altre vista cortile, aredate con gusto.
Il personale è molto cortese e disponibile.
Da ritornare in prossima visita a Lisbona.

I stayed at a master room for one night. It is easy to reach the hotel as we drove our rental car equipped with GPS. We arrived at the hotel at around 1200 hours. The staff gave us a warmly welcome at the entrance and arranged us to have a welcome drink at terrace with beautiful city view. Staff are professional and very kind to us. They quickly arranged us to have a room although we arrived early. They also actively provided us a map of the city and explained all major locations of sights in Lisbon. They also introduced us some good restaurants nearby and transportation to city. The room we stayed is large and very clean. In all, Torel Palace is one of the best hotels that I stayed in last 3 weeks at Portugal and Spain.
