Don't bother. Last visit there were so many people crawling about the cliffs trying to get photos of those on the beach. One guy with his girlfriend beside flying his drone over to video beach goers. High tide means practically no beach. Much nicer beaches.

Super plaża, trudno do niej dojść lecz warto. Trzeba iść klifem od plaży Praia de Rocha i będzie do niej zejście, ta droga prowadzi do Alvor z Portimão. Widoki piękne po drodze, warto z Alvor do Portimão zajechać autobusem a wrócić piechotą.

Solo hay rocas, nada de arena y no hay quien se bale, es peligroso. Con la marea alta desaparece la playa!!!

Directions to Submarine Beach, one of the best clothing optional beaches in the Algarve Honestly I was scared going as the directions were very vague and I was not sure how I was going to find it. When I did find it I was soooo happy that I made the attempt as it was one of the most unspoiled beaches I have ever been on. Step 1: Look up tide times as you can only access this beach in low tide and if you stay too long you will be trapped here so go when the tide is going out and stay only when it is half way in. you can do this by googling Tide times Portimao Step 2: you will need to Drive and Park in the field outlined in the map attached Step 3: walk to the end of the road towards Casa da Guarda; make a right and walk around the two Gruta's (holes in the rocks looking down onto the beaches); keep following the path to the right and the path will lead you down onto the beach. It seems confusing so I have done a map using google satellite and put arrows. There are some pictures attached as well. The beach and surrounding landscape is spectacular and I would say that if you visit here you may even skip out on the Benagil caves as these are just as good. You can wear water shoes and do the walk to the end of the line to see other small amazing beaches which are awesome. This is a clothing optional beach but there were a couple of people with clothes on so never fear. Pack a picnic and enjoy your time as it is amazing!

Splendida,isolata,difficilmente accessibile per via di un sentiero impervio e per le maree che ne possono bloccare l'accesso!

Hermoso lugar para caminar y disfrutar luego de la playa, mucha paz. Para bañarse hay que tener precaución porque hay muchas piedras en el mar.

Magnifique plage, accès un peu escarpé avec des enfants mais la vue est magnifique. Comme toutes les plages de l algarve l'eau est limpide et cristalline une merveille pour les yeux.

Lugar paradisíaco, de fácil acesso (carro), e com vista magnífica. Apenas deve-se ter cuidado com o percurso no alto e beira dos rochedos.

Vale bem a visita pelo passeio e pela vista.

Uma maravilha da natureza. Difícil acesso mas fantástica. Com passagens "secretas".

Pequena praia em frente à rocha do submarino, rocha situada no mar junto à costa. O acesso é feito por intermédio de estrada de terra batida e o estacionamento tem de ser feito algumas centenas de metros antes.

A praia é linda, a vista magnífica. No entanto é um local para nudistas....

The map bring you to closer point of submarine beach, but it is a narrow deadend which make it harder for car to turn around.

Playa muy solitaria a ultima hora del dia

Conjunto de várias praias selvagens, recortadas pela falésia, unidas por grutas, e de acesso difícil, muito condicionado. Mar calmo, pontuado por rochedos, a convidar para banhos prolongados. Ideal para nudismo. Sem dúvida, uma das melhores praias que jamais frequentei!

The most beauityful ever! Walk down the cliffs to discover the smallest and quitests beach you ever emagine! After 15:00 you will discover more as water goes back to the sea and you can walk/swim between stones to a little nude beach! Stunning!

Une des plus belles plages de la région à visiter au dépend de la marée et de la pudibonderie

Una playa con un total de 9 calas que aparecen cuando la marea está baja. No se recomienda ir con marea alta ya que es muy difícil de explorar. Para acceder a las calas hay que cruzar cuevas naturales de difícil acceso. Suele ser una playa nudista gay.

The most beautiful beach I've ever been. Peaceful and desert with some naturists guys looking for fun in the hidden places and caves. The access is dificult but tottaly worth it!

Esta praia é mais conhecida pela praia do submarino, visto ter uma rocha ao largo que se assemelha a um submarino a vir à tona de agua. é uma praia lindissima. Não faz sentido ser designada por praia do Valentim de Carvalho porque os particulares em Portugal não tem praias privadas e a relação tem a ver com o facto deste Senhor ser o proprietário da casa mais próxima da praia.

A Praia do Submarino apresenta um areal de dimensões reduzidas na base da falésia, com um formato semicircular :)
