Went there with my wife and our 1 year old kid. The place a bit hidden, but we managed to find it. It does not look that fancy, but the food was... there are no words to describe it.. IMPRESSIVE!! The sword fish and octopus were incredible and the owners are super nice and polite. They speak only Portuguese (a good sign) but we managed to communicate pretty easily. I definitely recommend it! And everything is really cheap, and perfect for families with little kids.

Great place, great owners! My girlfriend got deliciously grilled pork (4 skewers) with salad and french fries for 10€. I got a beautiful grilled dorade, also with french fries and salad for ~12€, it was deeeeelicious! Drinks were really cheap! A little bit hard to find, but really worth it!

The place is called Papo Cheio now. Family operated. Closed Saturdays. Traditional Portuguese food. Fish and seafood excellent. Hard to find better sardines anywhere. Far from tourist noise and worth extra effort to get there. In summer good to make a reservation as it gets busy.

Its not 24 hours but run by a couple (they need rest as everybody ). Good hidden gem for seafood. Homemade taste with fresh material.

Restaurant is very basic, staff do not speak English but they managed to understand our requirements and the seafood and prices were excellent.

Amazing fish. Best fish I have ever eaten! The owners of the place are friendly and nice. We went there with 6yo and 3yo, they ate the fish without problem even though they are not fish eaters.

Excellent seafood restaurant. Unpretentious and far from grand, but really good food and very reasonable prices. We ate there twice during our stay - sardines, goat and sea bream (recommended). Staff didn't speak much English (a good sign) but were extremely friendly and helpful. The name of the restaurant and opening times on Google maps appears to be incorrect (it's actually Papo Cheio, and it isn't open 24 hours a day, so check first - closed Saturdays). Although it's some distance from the centre of Lagos it's well worth the detour.
