Fantastic food and a romantic setting. The waitresses were incredibly attentive. The live music was a bonus also and our waitress was singing along, she was very talented. Would highly recommend!

3.Durchgebraten wie ein Stück Suppenfleisch
Schlechter geht es nicht.
1 Stern gebe ich allerdings für die freundliche Bedienung.
Wie dieses Lokal an 4 Sterne bei den Bewertungen kommt, ist mir ein Rätsel. Eventuell sind die Fischgerichte ganz OK.

Went because the review is sooo great, I mean 3rd in Trip Advisor? The fish I ordered wasn’t fresh:( the taste is so-so... and the live music made it worse, the guitarist/singer gave such negativity to the whole restaurant. Sad face, making it a bad vibe to eat.

Très bon restaurant. Accueil plus que chaleureux. De la musique bossa et autre. Comme dans les bons restaurants il y a toujours un peu d'attente, 20 mn, guère plus. Sinon allez chez McDo il n'y pas d'attente. Pour ceux qui disent du mal de ce coin tranquille.

Heerlijke Portugese keuken en wijnen. Dit voor normale prijzen. Hier doen ze niet mee aan de toeristische vloedgolf en blijven ze "normaal". Live achtergrond muziek (eigenaresse zingt af en toe fado live). Echt een aanrader als je de massa toerisme wilt ontwijken.

Perfeito! Accueil des plus charmants ! Serveuse au ptit soin, souriante, polyglotte et qui chante du fado ! Elle était accompagnée d'un musicien portugais/bossa nova.
Concernant les plats, un vrai régal, nous avons pris le algavarian cataplana, un délice, 34euros deux, quantité et qualité au rendez-vous !
Nous conseillons mes yeux fermés le restaurant !

Authentic Portugese restaurant. Great food and ambiance. Went to Sunday's fado and a great experience. Was greeted warmly and made to feel part of the family in this family run restaurant. A "must visit" place in the Albufeira area.

What a fabulous gem of a local restaurant. A great neighborhood place near the quieter end of The Strip. Owned an ran by a delightful young couple, she runs the front of the house -- and is a great singer -- while he prepares fabulous dishes. Started with the garlics prawns, very yummy in a great, light sauce, 5 in the order. Husband had the Fisherman's tuna - a delightful dish with potatoes, prawn, and clams covering a nice portion of perfectly cooked tuna steak, all in a very light and flavorful tomato broth. Not at all what was expected, but extremely tasty and pleasant surprise. I had the grilled sea bream with broccoli & salad. Fish grilled perfectly with just the right amount of olive oil, salt and lemon - simple and fantastic! Highly recommend this place!

I cannot speak more highly of this amazing family run restaurant. A group of seven of us had entree, main and desserts here and everyone enjoyed everything they had. The service was perfect, this place is full of love and soul and I hope to visit again one day soon.

Il luogo è abbastanza rustico, il personale è cordiale e con un po' di inglese misto spagnolo si riesce a ordinare, il cibo è buono il pesce risulta fresco, unico neo, se non amate l'aglio e la cipolla diffidate da questo posto che praticamente in ogni pietanza presentava almeno uno dei due, con abbondanza del primo (aglio), conto proporzionato nel complesso ad un ristorante principalmente di pesce.

Piatti ottimi peccato che abbiamo ordinato una grigliata per due persone e ne abbiamo portate due e quindi per quattro persone facendo finta di aver capito due grigliate e non una grigliata per due persone, la furberia della cameriera mascherata di non comprensione della lingua. Sconsigliato

Siamo andati in questo ristorante attratti dalle recensioni positive lette e devo dire che le aspettative sono state tutte molto soddisfatte. Abbiamo mangiato del buon arroz de marisco e una fantastica grigliata del pescato del giorno. Das Restaurante ist etwas unscheinbar, aber das Essen ist sehr lecker. Es ist Landestypisch eingerichtet und wir hatten sogar Live Musik. Mir kam es so vor, als würde das Restaurante von einer Familie, mit viel Herzblut und Liebe geführt und das merkt man. Vielen Dank für das gute Essen und den schönen Abend.

Wir sind extra von Ohlos de Agua wegen der empfohlenen traditionellen Küche (vor allem der Cataplana) hierher gekommen. Das Restaurant liegt ungefähr 35-40 Gehminuten von der Altstadt entfernt in einem nicht ganz so touristischen Teil der Stadt. Dadurch ist es auch abends deutlich ruhiger.
Es gibt einen kleinen hübschen Aussenbereich und das Lokal ist innen etwas traditioneller eingerichtet. Abends gibt es auch angenehm ruhige Livemusik. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und spricht sehr gut Englisch. Das Brot und die Oliven als Starter sind etwas langweilig. Dafür ist die Cataplana ausgezeichnet und sehr deftig. Die Cataplana gibt es nur für 2 Personen.

We recently visited Albufeira and wanted to experience authentic Portuguese food. We were referred to a restaurant in the beach which was ...ok. To say the least. We then went to Jardim Rustico. Not only was the service impeccable, but the food was absolutely spectacular. We recommend you ask for it a little bit spicy if you want a true experience. We ordered the cataplana with pork and chorizo along with a starter of scallops. Seriously unbelievable. Soooooo wonderful! Take a Tuk Tuk to the restaurant. So much fun and well worth it. The wine was amazing too !! Thank you Jardim Rustico and staff.

A francesinha tinha entre as fatias do pão.., salsicha fresca, chourição, carne vaca, linguiça, queijo, fiambre.
Ovo estrelado por cima. Infelizmente as batatas vinham no molho, não gosto. As batatas têm que ser servidas à parte e molhadas no molho. Por falar em molho, estava bom.
Escolhi pão de alho e salada mista para entrada, estavam saborosas.
A minha companhia comeu bife da vazia, acompanhado de batatas fritas e salada, igualmente, saborosas.
Funcionárias simpáticas, falam inglês, francês... Restaurante simpático e acolhedor.
As bebidas são carérrimas; 3,50€ por uma Coca-Cola de lata!! (Chiça). A sobremesa foi um "Red Velvet", estava com boa apresentação, quanto ao sabor e ao preço, 5,50€, deixam pouco a desejar!

Four of us visited this place based on Tripadvisor reviews. What a mistake! We love traditional Portugese food and have been visiting Portugal for years however this place is not one of our better experiences. It is very expensive and low quality food compared to elsewhere.
The starter of stuffed clam (singular) had what can only be described as toast topper on it (mushroom and ham), really not good value for eight euros. Other starter of calamari was obviously frozen, not fresh. Main courses were no better - Portugese steak came with half a ton of frozen saute potatoes and was drowned in bisto, yes bisto! The pickles on top were from a supermarket jar. The bacalau cod was ok but again served with too many frozen saute potatoes.
Compared to the variously awful restaurants nearby this is the only place serving traditional Portugese dishes, however do yourself a favour and get a cheap taxi to Olhos De Agua and go to the family run restaurants there that are much better value, much better food and a fraction of the price of this place. You can get a three course menu with wine and coffee thrown in for not much more than a starter at this place.
The only good thing I can say about this experience was the great service. Pity about the cost and the quality of the food. Avoid!

Very good portugese cuisine. First time having cataplana and it was delicious! Number 2 voted best seafood restaurant in the Algarve! We had the scollop starter and monkfish cataplana and would have again. As seafood lovers we were very impressed. Prices initially look expensive but most dishes are shared between 2 people. Best going with someone with the same taste as yourself.

Un superbe moment dans ce restaurant traditionnel portugais, produit frais et de qualité . Qu'on soit carnivore, végétarien ou adepte du poisson et crustacés, c'est un régal. Le jeune homme est très sympathique et à fait l'effort de parler français. On a vraiment bien mangé. Prix très raisonnable.

This was a hidden gem that we found during a family holiday. I searched for a traditional portuguese restaurant and this popped up and based on reviews we decided to take a chance and try it.
It is a very modest restaurant but the food was amazing and the service was too. Mainly serving seafood, it was easy to see that this was their specialty. Everyone at our table absolutely loved every dish. Definitely recommend especially if you are looking for good quality food at a great price.

Soy Raúl de Madrid, estuve con mi familia la semana pasada, llegamos tarde e incluso así nos sirvieron con mucho mimo y cariño y muy buena calidad en sus productos, barato no es, pero merece la pena el bacalao, la carne, los postres y el servicio de sus empleados.
Todo hay que decirlo y la verdad es que estábamos solos porque como digo era tarde y lunes para más señas y no sólo no me pusieron mala cara sino que me sirvieron todas sus maravillas gastronómicas locales con muchísimo cariño

Highly recommend this place! Great food, great service and overall very pleasant experience. Went there with our 3 young kids who all love seafood and we all just loved it. Had mussels, clams, shrimps, fish platter for 2, chicken breast with prowns and deserts. We sat in the lovely terrace and felt very welcome and enjoyed the hospitality. Good food without the "in-your-face-tourist-trap" experience you often get in Albufeira. You are up for a great treat!

We waited a hour for our food to arrive but at least the meat was good. The meat was cooked all the same even between who asked for rare and medium. The dessert are terrible, completely unsuggested. The place and the waiters are nice

Vous trouverez ici de quoi manger de bonnes spécialités de la mer, les plats sont copieux pour un prix très raisonnables. Le vin est excellent, les cocktails aussi. N'hésitez pas à réserver à l'avance.

Camerieri molto disponibili. Servizio un po' lento e piatto di pesce non particolarmente buono. In ogni caso lo consiglio per l'atmosfera (c'è dell'ottima musica live).

Das Restaurant ist leicht versteckt. Die Speisen sind köstlich und die Atmosphäre sehr ruhig und angenehm. Sehr zu empfehlen ist der Tunfisch nach Mittelmeerstyle

If you are staying at the Villa Petra, turn right on the strip. We had the fish and bean stew. The dish was amazing. We will visit again, before the end our visit.

In a street full of bars, shops selling flip flops, and cheap eateries, Jardim Rustico stands out. It's a seafood restaurant with a deservedly excellent reputation. The food is fresh and delightful. It's coupled with a great selection of wine and all backed up by friendly but excellent service. Worth traveling for a visit.

Superb restaurant! Great traditional food for a good price. That evening we went there was a little band playing traditional Fado music. Just awesome! Friendly people, serving you well.

We came here on the first night of our holiday and found the staff to be really friendly, taking time to make sure we had everything we wanted and that the wine was what were looking for. We all ordered starters and thoroughly enjoyed them. Then we all ordered the chicken and chorizo cataplana but unfortunately it wasn't what we were expecting. The food was lovely but we simply misunderstood what it was we were ordering and didn't really enjoy the mains. We told the owner that despite the food being lovely we would have preferred something else and to our surprise he took off some money off the bill. It was a nice gesture considering there was nothing wrong with what we ordered. I would go back definitely though

A comida é boa, e o staff é muito simpático. mas preparem-se para esperar a comida demora imenso. Se pedirem sangria vão beber 0,75l e pagar 1.5l.

Espectacular mariscada, producto del día, cantidad y presentación inmejorable. Muy buen precio y excelente atención. Vale la pena el viaje solo para comer alli. Un imperdible de Albufeira!!
