I can not put into words on how good the food and service was at this resturant. I celebrated my girlfriends birthday here. They gave us a personal card and the food kept coming out. The staff personally walked me to my taxi. I have never experienced such great service. This resturant is worth every penny. Thank you to the staff at O paparico for making my girlfriends birthday so special. I'll will be back when I visit Porto.

Absolut Amazing!
Wir hatten das Portugal Menü mit Weinbegleitung.
Auch wenn es am Anfang nicht so aussieht als das man satt wird, am Ende ist man es! Jedes einzelne Gericht ist mit sehr viel Liebe und Hingabe zum Produkt verarbeitet und präsentiert worden. Es war eine tolle Erfahrung dort zu essen. Auch die Erklärungen zu den Weinen war sehr Interessant und sehr passend zu den Gerichten ausgewählt.

It's just incredible. The food was phenomenal. The space is absolutely gorgeous, and I couldn't possibly say enough good things about Jaime specifically and the staff overall. They went out of their way to accommodate us (including my pregnant wife's food restrictions). It was a wonderful experience. I'd even call it a bargain considering how great it was.

Excellent dining in a out of the way neighborhood - but definitely worth the drive. A small a la carte offering but the way to order the tasting menu(s). An excellent presentation of Portuguese cuisine paired expertly with appropriately aged local wines. Some our items were declared "best ever" by our table (cuttlefish) while others were very unique and delicious (distilled gaspacho). Very good service in an historical, 200 year old building. Be prepared to spend 3-4 hours.

We had the most extraordinary experience at Opaparico. First you arrive and the outside for sod feels like a home you have to knock on the door to enter the restaurant you walk into a very cozy warm living room setting with the bar behind with exceptional cocktails being served by skilled mixologist. Then we are our shared to a wonderful table the inside looks and feels for my 13 century old home with the original structure, original structure and walls which at one point used to be a stable has been turned into an exquisite indoor restaurant setting. With the help of the Sommelier we were introduced to an outstanding bottle of Pinot noir from Douro Valley. The dinner was personally choreographed to our diet restrictions. The blue lobster dish was heavenly. Every morsel of food melted in your mouth.
The entire evening was impeccable and made us feel as if we are the only dinner guests. When Zaime the owner found out we were there to celebrate our special anniversary he took our Polaroid picture as a memorabilia. He walked us to our uber like you would walk your dinner guests to their car. So glad there was a cancellation so we could experience this phenomenal restaurant!
If this restaurant is not rated as a Michelin star we will be shocked.

Well... They try very hard. Excellent service, service of the highest class, well-trained waiters, speak several languages. Very high cuisine, a large set of compliments from the chef. But... It's not tasty. And it is not clear why. They are trying to serve simple Portuguese cuisine in the style of haute cuisine. And if it was just Portuguese cuisine, then ok. But when it is served with such pathos, it becomes a bit uncomfortable. In addition, each ingredient is not bad, but in the combination that they invented, it does not work out very well. At the same time, prices are like in a real Michelin restaurant. In the end, I still would not advise - quite expensive and a little awkward.

Absolutely incredible. 6 Star meal. Beautiful creations using traditional Portugeuse dishes as their starting point. The depth and balance of flavours is extremely well executed. The paired wines were an absolute delight as well.

Não impressionou pelo preço e comida, embora a mesma sendo cuidada não justifica o preço. Existem no Porto vários restaurantes do mesmo nível a menos 60% do preço cobrado. Num país de vinho não há necessidade também de terem apenas vinhos carissimos, obvio que encarece um jantar !

Really amazing meal with fantastic service. We had the tasting menu and it was very special indeed. So many thoughtful touches. The food was inventive and delicious. Exceptional service throughout. I would go here again in a heartbeat. If you go to Porto, you should try this place. Head and shoulders above anything else we had in Porto. It is worth every penny.

Excelente! O melhor restaurante do Porto. Conheci todos os restaurantes com Estrela MICHELIN do Porto. Não entendo porque ele não tem estrela. O restaurante Paparico é sem dúvida um dos melhores e mais requintados restaurantes da cidade do Porto.
As opções para jantar são diversas, com possibilidade de escolher um menu de degustação de entradas, prato principal e sobremesa.
Também é possível escolher um menu de degustação de vinhos que acompanham os pratos escolhidos.
O staff é super atencioso.
Recomendo ir ao Paparico com bastante tempo para usufruir com a devida calma a refeição.

Summoned the courage? Bought the ring? Absolutely sure? Then take the love of your life to this place and see their eyes light up, as one little plate of delectable morsels follows the next. Each course will surprise, refresh, sparkle and dance on your tongue. Each wine will do the same in perfect harmony. The whole experience had me saying yes, yes, yes! Best meal I've ever had.

Our experience at O Paparico was excellent. We were running late and called, which ended being a great decision, as Bridget was warm and accommodating.
We did the sharing menu with two white Portuguese wines. The amuse were lovely and varied, ranging from a small bacalao paddle, to a veal liver pâté, to a tapenade with warm, crusty housemade bread. The starters were oysters treated with a nice herbal sauce and were excellent. The mains were red mullet and bacalao, which were quite good. Desserts and a cheese course to finish.
The highlight, though, was the staff. All were warm and welcoming, from the somm to the wait staff, and Bridget taking care all night. Highly recommend.

A wonderful evening of food and wine from a staff that is clearly.passionate about their country's culinary heritage. My wife and I opted for the sharing menu, and stuck.with the full seafood theme. Lobster rice was sublime. The somm guided us to one of the best white wines I've had in many year, reminscent of the great whites of burgundy. Desserts we're delicious and cleverly presented.
We liked it even a little better than a Michelin 2 star we recently visited in Porto.

The atmosphere is impeccable, the service and experience are of a high caliber, and the dining, a small tour of Portugal in and of itself, is superb. If you're looking to treat yourself in Porto, look no further. A bit of pomp, but that's part of the fun.

Было несколько комплиментов, очень к месту и вкусных: бульон, набор португальских закусок, кофе и чай в конце тоже в счет не были включены, так же не считают воду без газа. Обслуживание внимательное и доброжелательное, было ощущение, что все стараются.
Место по меркам Порто очень дорогое, по классу ресторана - цена выглядит адекватной. На мой взгляд, первая треть ужина была слегка затянута, но на общее впечатление это никак не повлияло. Место долгое, займет порядка двух с половиной часов.

My overall experience with this restaurant was amazing. You are able to pick between a 10, 7 and 3 course meal. Loving small course meals we both picked the 10. It actually turned out to be like 13 courses and every single one was amazing. They had a surprise dish at the end which in normal circumstances would have horrified me. They way they prepared this exotic dish was amazing.
The one thing that stood out to us, however, was not the excellent food. The best experience that will have us coming back every time we are in Porto was the amazing staff. Not only do they pay attention they also go above and beyond to give you a good experience. They are friendly, attentive and pay close attention to detail.
I have a food allergy so I was nervous sitting for a 10 course meal because it is often difficult to cater to my dietary needs with so many dishes to juggle. They were amazing at altering each dish to my needs without any negative impact to the taste and quality to each dish.
10/10 will come back and would highly recommend. Good price for the quality and services provided.

My girlfriend and I had the pleasure of experiencing the exquisite food and dining experience last night. We both very much enjoyed the 10 course menu, along with some wine to synergize the pallet.
I must say, I wasn't sure what to expect from this experience, but we decided to try O Paparico based on the outst reviews. We were not disappointed.
Not only was the food prepared, and served perfectly, but the staff were amazing and witty. They were aware of my girlfriend's gluten allergy, and made sure to adapt her menu accordingly.
We felt that our experience was worth every Euro, and will definitely be making a trip back, as the menu is apparently ever evolving. Please disregard the disrespectful poor reviews, I can't think of a single complaint out of the entire evening. Our butler even offered to call a taxi and waited outside until it arrived.

Exceptional dining experience in Porto. Surprised it does not have a Michelin star as it definitely deserves one. Attention to detail is stunning. Staff are excellent and attentive without being overbearing. The flavour of the food is allowed to sing without being masked by complicated foams and smears! We had the seasonal menu which was focussed on the Algarve and all seafood. It was all exceptional and couldn't fault it. Would highly recommend it you're visiting Porto.

I've traveled a lot of places and tried a lot of high end, fine dining restaurants but this one beats them all. The attention to detail, the flavor, the presentation and combination are amazing. The staff care for your every need, are extremely knowledgeable and have a fun time while making your experience unforgettable.
They only book one reservation per table in the restaurant for the entire night so you can enjoy your experience.

Excesivamente caro. No vale lo que cuesta en absoluto. Excesivamente lento. Nos hicieron esperar al llegar un buen rato, y entre experiencia y experiencia, mucho tiempo. No puedes tener la reserva a las 21.30 y salir a las casi 2 de la madrugada y pagar 392 euros 3 personas. Al reservar no vi en ningun sitio que fuera cena de menu cerrado. Muy rico todo y excelente servicio. Pero carisimo y lentisimo. No volveria a repetir nunca.

The whole experience was great. They have 3 menus: one 10-course menu at 120 Euros, one Seasonal 7-course at 90 Euros and a 7-course vegan menu at 90 Euros as well. You can add wine pairing for 80 Euro.
We took the Seasonal one, which was focused on the Algarve cousine. All plates were exquisite and beautifull, very delicate in the tasting. It is not traditional portuguese cousine, it is a contemporary restaurant with portuguese background.
The service was impecable, very few restaurants have this kind of attention.
If you want a 5-stars meal in a place where you can have good time with friends that's the place.

O Paparico is one of the top 3 best restaurants in Porto. I've been in 1 and even 2 Michelin star restaurants that don't have the quality and service of Paparico. Excellent food, creative but respecting the Portuguese tradition, excellent wines and top service. The combination of an old traditional Portuguese house and the contemporary presentation of the food is brilliant. A hidden gem and a must visit.

Впечатление после посещения оного заведения сложилось двоякое. Да, что-то в этом есть - блеклый фасад, молоточек на двери, отсуцтвие кричащей рекламы, отреставрированый дом из камня, хорошая обслуга и интересная национальная винная карта. Но само дегустационное меню ничем не удивило (хотя всё было приготовлено изумительно) и ещё больше растроил ценник на те самые вина из карты - ну нужно иметь немного совести, запрокидывая цены в 3-6 раз выше рыночных... Дегустационное меню, тоже как минимум на 25€/чел дороже остальных похожих заведений в Порто.
Мой вам совет - сходите в другое место, заодно съекономите и получите то же удовольствие.

Sabendo-se que se trata de um restaurante de alta gastronomia, sabe-se que é um local de pratos bastante caros. Entretanto, tínhamos uma baixa expectativa ao chegar, por acharmos que pagaríamos muito, mas não comeríamos satisfatoriamente. Ledo engano. As porções são generosas, a opção do menu é mais agradável, tanto do ponto de vista alimentar, quanto do valor. Saímos de lá com a sensação de que pagamos bem, mas tivemos o retorno em alta qualidade da comida e do atendimento.

We are soooo happy we found this restaurant on our stay in Porto. We been in 2 Michelin star restaurants in Paris but Paparico deserves five stars than. For sure this is the best restaurant in Portugal and one of the best we ever been to, including many Michelin star restaurants in New York, Las Vegas and Paris. Would definitely recommend it, this restaurant worth you to go out of your way on your trip to Portugal and go directly there.

We dined at OPaparico in April 2017 and it was the highlight meal of our trip in Portugal. The atmosphere is wonderful with it's old beams, antiques and stone floors. The table settings are first class and the staff makes you feel you are a special guest for the evening. How this lovely restaurant has not received a Michelin star is beyond me. The food is not only incredible but beautifully presented in the most creative ways. My mother in-law was so taken with their sourdough bread that the chef came to our table to tell her how to make it. The wine list is also amazing and the sommelier does a great job pairing each course. I feel sure you will enjoy an evening at O Paparico. Make sure you have reservations as it is a small restaurant.

Falando de factos deste restaurante, os pontos mais importantes que acho sao os seguintes: a comida, realmente estava boa para quem gostar de estar a tanto tempo a espera para vir algo frio , porém a nível negativo os funcionários foram extremamente antipáticos com a minha mesa onde eu realizava um jantar, é não foram nada corretos com a situcoes que ocorreram não sabendo resolver pequenos problemas, assim mostrando que não conseguem gerir a pressão a nível de trabalho nem muito menos conseguem lidar com situações simples do seu dia a dia. Pensei que era uma casa que tivesse melhor gestão a nível de funcionamento mas infelizmente não se pode ter tudo. Por mim não recomendo e não volto mais simplesmente pelo facto da situação que ocorreu e por achar que que a qualidade não é assim tão boa quanto parece, tem mais fama que qualidade. Espero que as pessoa que paguem um dia este tipo de serviço desta categoria sejam tratadas de forma honesto, humilde e de forma agradável algo que não vi nesta casa mas sim agressividade, falta de educação e muita mas muita falta de experiência a nível de pressão.

너무나 친절하고 모든 음식이 맛있음. 스터터 오이스터는 진짜 굴의 새로운 상큼한 맛을 느낄수있고 메인른 2인분 기준이지만 1인분씩도 해줌. 대구, 립아이 모두 맛있음. 디저트도 상큼하니 좋았고 오르골에 서빙된 스윗츠도 너무 맛있고 좋았음.

Endroit magique. De l'arrivée au dessert le menu nous raconte une histoire découverte de la gastronomie Portugaise et des vins qui accompagnent les plats. Je suis ravis d'être aller dans ce beau restaurant. Un sous chef Alsacien un chef Portugais une équipe de sommelier et maîtres de salle extraordinaire toutes et tous très accueillant, souriant et profondément amoureux du partage de leur travail et de le savoir faire et être. Es un restaurante no muy grande (reservad con tiempo, creo que no aceptan para más de 6 personas), con una materia prima muy buena, una gran cocina y donde el trato de Sergio y de su equipo es exquisito (dejaros aconsejar).
Existen tres menús de degustación (75/90/130, bebidas no incluidas) No es barato pero merece la pena la visita.

Simply a wonderful culinary experience. Had the classic menu with wine pairing. The food was absolutely bang on. The wine was well choosen and the staff is just amazing. On their way to a michelin star..If you want to taste local products, prepared and cooked in a modern way, that's the place to be.

I've been to a few Michelin starred restaurant - this one doesn't have one, but it sure deserves it! Great food experience showing creativity and use of local sourced ingredients - exceptional wine paring as well (for a reasonable price). One of the best restaurant I've ever been to!

Excelente restaurante. Merece la pena coger un taxi y visitar este pequeño restaurante en las afueras de Oporto. Eso sí, llevad la dirección bien apuntada porque el restaurante no tiene rótulo y por fuera parece una casa normal. En el interior, estancias pequeñas y con mucha piedra y muebles rústicos que le dan un ambiente genial.
Recomiendo que a la hora de pedir, os dejéis aconsejar por el maitre. Es realmente agradable y profesional al máximo. Todo lo que probamos me pareció muy muy bueno y destacaría el presunto macerado y la ensalada de bacalao del aperitivo, las vieiras y la cheira (fiambre de caza de origen judio) de los entrantes y el arroz con rape (tamboril) de plato principal.
Y respecto al vino, pues sigan también sus consejos y que les recomienden algún vino portugues. Están realmente buenos.
Estoy deseando volver a Oporto y no dejaré de visitar este restaurante. En dos días, tendrá estrella Michelín.

O restaurante é de ambiente muito bom, cuidado, estéticamente ameno e discreto. Serve divinalnente embora possa ser em pouca quantidade para os mais esfomeados. O ponto muito negativo foi a pressão que senti para terminar a refeição uma vez que há clientes com reservas para a mesma mesa. Isso foi desagradável.

The restaurant is small, and present a very nice environment with typical Portuguese decoration. The staff is extremely helpful and make you feel welcome. The food is excellent. A negative aspect is that you and your partner can not order different dishes since all dishes serve 2 people. Recommended for special and romantic occasions.

Creo que el mejor restaurante calidad precio de Oporto. El dueño, Sergio, es una maravilla de lo simpático y agradable. La comida es excelente, aunque no demasiado variada. Grandes cantidades y la carne, madurada y sabrosa, de las mejores que he tomado en mi vida. Para empezar bien, con un cóctel en la entrada, y para acabar un gintonic bien preparado.
