We rented a car while visiting Portugal. The pick up was fast and easy. We recieved a very well equipped car, clean inside and out. No complaint at all. Oh, I booked it online few weeks in advance and the price was a bargaining.

Good effective office in the city. In 15 minutes we got a car without any problems. The final price was slightly (250 instead 220) higher than expected due to taxes, but we got really better car than reserved. Deblocked the deposit 3 weeks after the rental (due to slow tolls payment processing by third party).

In order to avoid trouble I decided to rent with Hertz where I also happen to have highest loyalty status. It was MOST disappointing! 1) Car was not ready upon pickup and very high mileage (40k km) 2) Condition of car was very poor (low tyre pressure, radio/ GPS constantly rebooted, boot cover broken) 3) Lots of photos were taken upon check-out - but damage was "accidentally" noted on wrong side (in Portuguese of course) 4) upon returning the car in Faro this very damage was quoted as "new" and only because I had personally taken pictures upon checkout it was let go 5) we used the car for 2 weeks on family holiday, therefore there was dust on the outside and obviously the usual amount of dust and sand on the inside ... and we were to be charged EUR 50 extra for cleaning. Only after lengthy discussion with station manager was the charge taken off (the check-in agent mentioned that he had had a very bad day ... not my problem really). Unfortunately Portugal's Hertz does not live up to brand expectations! :-(

Vous comptent l'option "recharge carburant au retour" alors que vous la refusez. Il faut bien vérifier ce que vous signez et le détail du décompte lors de la prise du véhicule.

We rented two motorbike's. We had to wait first of all 2 houres and the next day the motorbike was defect and the send us away without a solution. There was no motorbike so we could get a small car after almost 6 houres of waiting, asking, etc. So avoid this Hertz station.

No os recomiendo alquilar en esta oficina de Hertz. Estando España tan cerca y yo hablándoles en español se dirigieron a mi en todo momento en inglés a pesar de advertirles que no les entendía. El lugar para recoger y entregar el vehículo es una vía principal de Porto, por lo que tienes que estacionar el coche obstaculizando el paso del resto de los coches que circulan. Cuando le dices a los dependientes que si puedes meter el coche dentro del local te dicen que no, que lo dejes fuera y que ya te atenderán, con.lo que tuve que dar 2 vueltas para no parar la circulación. Nada recomendable está Oficina de Hertz

Perfeitos! Atendimento nota 10. Recebemos um carro, com acessórios além do que combinamos. Equipe muito gentil. Toda explicação que precisávamos pra começar a dirigir num país, visitado pela primeira vez, nos foi dada. Gratos!

Poderia ter sido melhor. Ao receber o carro tinha marcas de sangue no volante. O que percebi depois que já estava na estrada. O atendimento na recepção da retirada e entrega foi muito bom.

This is the worst Hertz we’ve ever been to. The service is awful, rude and inefficient. Do yourself a favor and avoid renting cars here. We’ve never had a negative experience with Hertz before coming here.

If you’re an American, avoid this location at all costs. It’s not what you expect from Hertz. They browbeat the customers to accept unnecessary insurance, plus the wait is incredible. With only 4 customers in front of us it took almost 90 minutes to get our car. Go to the airport!!!!

Decepcionante el alquiler de coche con esta compañía. Nos hemos sentido timados y estafados con la asignación de un coche de alta gama que no queríamos coger pero no nos dejaron opción de elegir otro porque NO nos lo alquilaban de ninguna manera, convenciendonos que era el más barato que podían darnos. La lástima es que nuestra compañía aseguradora nos había hecho una reserva previamente y tuvimos que hacer la gestión con ellos.

Really good experience with Hertz in Porto! The car was in good shape, very short waiting time and friendly staff. We returned the car at the airport which took about 2 minutes. Excellent service! I highly recommend renting a car at Hertz.

The slowest Service ever. We had to wait one hour to get our car and now i have to wait one hour to return it

Muy decepcionado con esta compañía en este país. Tenía el seguro hecho desde España y aun así he tenido que contratar el seguro con ellos o de lo contrario no me daban el coche. Lo dejo con un cuarto de depósito y me lo cobran completo, diciendome de forma grosera, llévalo y lo llenas. No creo que alquile de nuevo con ellos, ni aconsejo a nadie que lo haga.

Não indico a ninguém. Fiquei 3 horas para pegar o carro, que eu tinha RESERVADO para alugar. Lugar cheio, atendimento fraco, os carros ficam na rua e poucos na garagem. Para devolver o carro, tive que pegar fila de espera também. Não percam tempo e aluguem carro em outra empresa de locação.

De auto was van in BE op voorhand geboekt én betaald. Om 10 uur mochten wij hem afhalen. We hebben 2 uur moeten wachten omdat er 10 mensen voor ons waren. Dan was het eindelijk onze beurt. Nog papieren in orde brengen...en nóg eens wachten op de auto want die was er er nog niet...pffff. Jammer van de verloren vakantie tijd.

Very rude guy at the desk. Our rental had a flat tire, we changed it by ourself and went to this hertz store. The guy was very rude and told us we need to the car company and get a new wheel. He did not even bother to come check the car outside. This is being a gold plus member. I called hertz helpline after this incident and they told me the agency is supposed to check it, give us an estimate of the repair and give us a new car. Do not go to this store and talk to they bearded bald guy at the desk

Francamente decepcionante. Muchísima gente, muy lento, mal servicio. Los coches entrando y saliendo muy cerca de los clientes, riesgo de atropello evidente. Todo el mundo quejándose. Una vergüenza de oficina.

Contratei e o pagamento feito através de milhas. Fui informado de valores a serem feitos para seguro e o via fácil de lá, não fui informado corretamente dos valores e debitado no meu cartão um valor abusivo de 200,00 euros, que estou recorrendo. Além deste trastorno tive dificuldade na entrega do veículo no Porto onde os atendentes questionaram o pagamento por milhas. Muito difícil o relacionamento.

Service was friendly but this location has challenges on logistics. Only one car at a time can be handed to the customers. And after that joining the street in front is also difficult. So that caused some delay for me when I was picking up my rental. Fortunately I returned the car at the airport.

Don’t give back your car here. You stand in line in the same queue as the persons who rent the car. Takes ages. Most unorganized place. Take your time...

Nul des arnaqueurs !!! Vous laissez votre voiture comme demandé à 5h du matin sans contrôle puisqu'ils sont fermés et ils vous débitent 15 jours plus tard sans préavis de la caution en disant sans preuves que l'arrière est defoncé.... Lamentable pour un grand groupe comme Hertz et dommage aussi pour l'image de Porto.

Trop cher de louer un véhicule en agence... sans scrupules ils vous annoncent des prix 6fois plus cher que la normale ( 50 euro chez les concurrents ) je vous laisse faire le calcul...

Just one person ahead of me and it took a while in both picking up a car and dropping off. But when attended the attention was all mine and all my questions were answered. I recommend booking a car in advance so you get what you want. Happy vacationing!

Waited 30 mins until we were attended even though only two more customers were in the store. This is more a management problem than a problem of the people working at this store. The process involves way too much paper. The employees treated us very kindly and the car we got was also better than what we expected.
