GEWELDIG! Intussen ben ik er voor de 2e keer naartoe gegaan, deze keer in 1 van de privékamers. De bedden liggen super comfortabel, de 2 villa’s zijn mooi en modern, het team is echt tof en de surfcoach is echt geweldig! Ik ben er eind april naartoe geweest en in september ga ik er al terug naartoe. Zó graag ben ik daar dus! Echte aanrader

Golden waves exceeded all expectations I had for a long weekend of yoga. The team are fantastic, so friendly and clearly very much experts in their fields. The yoga studio is beautiful with brand new equipment. The combination of Yin and Vinyasa meant we had varied sessions and Elle was a brilliant teacher. The surfing was also great fun and Vitor takes his time to ensure you make the most of your time in the waves. I had a fabulous weekend with my mother but would happily return with a group of friends or my boyfriend. Can’t recommend enough!

Urlaub in 2018: Eine tolle Atmosphäre, lauter entspannte Leute die 100% surf-süchtig sind. Aber auch Yoga-Anbeter(-innen) kommen auf ihre Kosten. Absolute Empfehlung!

The week at the Golden Waves Surf Lodge was perfect. Great (vegan) breakfast. Relaxing as well as energizing yoga sessions. Beautiful beaches, pine forests and people :) Sergio created a lovely place to relax.

A wonderful stay at the lodge. It was more than I expected. My only regret was that I didn't stay longer.

Had an excellent stay! The whole staff is caring and very knowledgeable in their respective field. I had time to enjoy a few yoga classes and a surf lesson but also borrow bicycles to go around. The amenities are all you need and the little town very chill. It's perfect for solo travellers but also couples looking for a homey feeling. Perfect for a relaxing stay!

Perfect yoga lodge. You yoga in the morning and evening, leaving you time to explore or just chill out by the beach/ pool/ in a hammock etc. Nice open plan space to meet fellow travellers. Breakfast is so good! Elle, our yoga teacher was the absolute best - she interacted with everyone and her tone of voice was wonderfully relaxing. Namaste!

Lovely place to meet people from all over the world and great surfing. Very clean and modern place. Beaches are beautiful, amazing food in the restaurants close by. Surfing instuctors and yoga teachers are super professionell. The Price is very good value.

Very clean and spacious house with a modern well-equipped kitchen (stove, oven, dish washer, microwave, coffee machine, etc. ) and a common room that has a big tv, sound system, cozy fireplace and a big comfortable couch to chill out in the evenings. Around the house there’s a nice garden with pine trees and outdoor sitting areas. Overall there’s lots of sunlight and green and the place gives you a very zen kind of feel. As guests we also had access to a gym and tennis and basketball court which brought us lots of joy. Furthermore they provide bikes free of charge so you can explore the surroundings (pine forest, beach, etc ). The hosts Sergio and Jess put a lot of lovely details into creating this space and were always attentive and giving us tips on what to do and see around here and made us feel right at home. We had a great time here, many thanks to both of you!

This place is truly magical. Starting with the surflodge, which is beautifully arranged, every single piece in there is well chosen and reasoned. The hosts Jess and Sergio are incredibly friendly, caring and obliging, they showed us around the surrounding, surf spots.. The service is more than I expected, we got free bikes, a tennis and basketball court, a swimming area, wifi and breakfast, which was very veried. The accommodation and the rooms give you a lot of space, so you do feel like home. Close to the beach and woods, which are both very clean. Also, for those who want to learn how to surf: high quality equipment and fantastic knowledge is provided. Thanks a lot for everything, I'd return anytime.

I had a fantastic stay at Golden Waves surf lodge. Jessy and Sergio are very kind and attentive hosts. They do their best to make sure your stay is enjoyable and comfortable. The accommodation is modern and beautiful. The rooms are clean, large and well maintained. There are lots of activities to do at the lodge such as tennis, cycling and swimming since guests have access to a leisure complex. It goes without saying that the surfing is amazing too. You can find many uncrowded surfing spots around Furudouro / Esmoriz. I didn't get the chance to properly see it but Ovar looked cultured and interesting (a nice day out when you need a rest). All in all I had a great time and I look forward to returning in the near future.

Super place, helpful team, eco which is good (recycling), soya milk available. Surf lesson, yoga, bike hire....

I have never been to your place but I'm already loving it because the amazing Jessie - a friend of earlier times - is the lovely owner (hope to meet Sergio soon!) and we are really looking forward to a road trip down Portugal and make a get togheter with my and your family Jess ;) See you next year... Hello! I stayed at the Lodge the same time with Nicole. And I don´t agree with her in any point. I do think that it is really unfriendly and untrue, what she wrote. It was so clean even the lodge was full with people. And it was nice and calm even with full house. Whenever I asked for an extra towel or anything special Sergio and Jessi did everything to make it happen. I had a bike every day. The bikes are brand new, great quality and it is absolutely fabulous that they are for free. They are great hosts, they make you feel home. Thank you Sergio and Jessi for those wonderful holidays at your place.

Not sure what changed between two months ago and my stay there but experience felt very much like AMATEUR HOUR. Staying for not than a week when the house is full of guests results in sandy floors, week long dirty towels, you can't fall asleep in common areas but wealthier guests can,unannounced room changes, piles of dirty dishes left over night.....Bike usage. I recommend you don't use any of their bikes, just don't do it. The owner's girlfriend may insult you and tell you how much she disagrees with the owner allowing you to use the bike. Hosts asking you about allergy medicine containers left in trash....? Otherwise, good place to stay for a week if you're into water sports other than that its pretty isolating without a car. Beds were comfortable, bring bug spray....Oh, and don't run the water while you're brushing your teeth. Golden Waves is an ecofriendly facility.

Leckeres Frühstück, fast schon zu sauber und schön für ein Surfhostel...meine Erwartungen wurden echt übertroffen. Die Küche ist ein Traum für jeden, der sich gern selbst versorgt während er durch riesige Fenster schaut. Der große und gepflegte Garten ist auch nicht zu verachten. Guten Fisch, Gemüse etc. gibts direkt am Meer zu kaufen, 5 Fahrradminuten entfernt. Gute Bikes sind auch am Start. Die Menschen, der Ort, die Strände, die Leute...alles ne eigene Klasse. Bin hier echt runtergekommen.

That is the best place in Furadouro to sleep very well, meet new people, make new friends, and the owners are wonderful people. All this together, makes you feel relaxed, as if you were at home.

Einfach schön. Wir hatten eine super Zeit auf der Lodge. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, die Zimmer und das Haus sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet. Die betreiber haben uns tolle Tipps gegeben und waren äußerst hilfreich. Der Surflehrer war für mich als Anfänger prima und ich habe echt viel gelernt durch seine ruhige und professionelle Art aber auch mein Mann als Fortgeschrittener und Jahrelanger Surfer kam auf seine kosten. Die Lage der Lodge ist ebenfalls empfehlenswert da nur unweit vom schönen Strand. Ideale Bedingungen trafen wir dort an (Anfang Juli). Ovar ist ein sehr süßes Städtchen mit so viel Charme, sind gerne mit den Fahrrädern hin. Für uns waren es Traumhafte zwei Wochen Urlaub. Kann die Lodge nur jedem empfehlen der sich das richtige Portugal anschauen möchte und gerne Wassersport betreibt oder in der Natur relaxen und verweilen möchte. Wir kommen wieder....
