Começo por falar da rececao, espaço bonito e acolhedor, bem recebido mas ao dizer que sou Português ai foi o descalabro.
Comecou a visita com um filme que ja estava a meio, o guia apresentou-se e nem sequer disse o seu nome, foi um colega dele que disse "ha, e para quem nao sabe ele chama-se "nao vou referir"...(a rirem-se)" e deu-se inicio a lamentavel visita que durou 5 minutos (LITERALMENTE) cheio de erros, ao ponto de acabar o tour mesmo antes de um grupo que entrou no tour anterior! Lamentavel! Isto tudo em 16 minutos ( contados por mim desde que o autocarro chegou até voltar para o autocarro).

I had a wonderful time visiting Real Companhia Velha in Vila Nova De Gaia in Portugal as I got a chance to learn about the history of port wine and find out more about how the wine is actually produced. I enjoyed the tour of the facility from start to finish and learned a lot about wine productions and got a chance to look around and climb on the wine barrels from different years the wine was from. I could feel the history of the wine and now have a greater appreciation for all that it takes to go from the barrel to the bottle to the glass. The highlight is the tasting session at the end of the tour as you get to taste some of the best port wine there is. This was a memorable visit and I thoroughly enjoyed myself and look forward to being able to return here in the future.

Accueil chaleureux, et visite très instructive en français !
Nous avons visité la Real Companhia Velha avec la Porto Card (la visite est donc gratuite), un dimanche matin à l'ouverture sans réserver. L'accueil qui a été réservé a été très chaleureux. Le lieu est vraiment incontournable, et ayant visité d'autres caves à Porto, je le conseille pour son "authenticité" : il s'agit d'une des plus anciennes caves de Porto, qui est encore détenue à 100% par une famille portugaise. Après une courte présentation vidéo, un guide nous a pris en charge. Il a été très précis dans ses explications, sur l’histoire du Porto et de la société, la localisation et les types de vins produits par la société. Il nous a montré une partie des nombreux fûts de Porto qui dorment sur place dans les entrepôts. Le tour se termine par une dégustation de 2 vins (1 blanc Lagrima et un rouge) dans le magasin.

Excelente atención , con una guía totalmente gratuita en varios idiomas ( español , inglés portugués etc) donde explican el
Origen y procesos del vino , te muestras el lugar y luego catamos 2 vinos .

Had a really nice time here! Great tour with a special visit to the port cellar and more then enough port to really get to know the flavors! If you don’t want the standard tour of the big boys near the bay, go here, you won’t be disapointed. Ps. if you don’t mind spiders go down to the cellars with ports over a hunderd years old! ;-)

Viaje en trenecito por Oporto y visita a la bodega. Una opción excelente y muy económica. En la bodega han sido muy amables, tenían guías bilingües. Primero hemos visto un video que no estaba mal y no era muy largo. Luego visita a la bodega y degustación. Todo por 10 euros y los niños 5 euros

We did enjoy the visit. The guide Barbara spoke perfect English. The tour lasts around 30mins, start with a introduction video, followed by walk-around in the cellar, and ended with two small glasses of wine. Definitely understand more of the Porto wine.

Susana and I visited Real Companhia Velha in Porto and were very impressed through our experience. This is one of the oldest Port Wine manufacturers in Portugal. A little more out of the way than the other companies in Porto but well worth the effort in travelling the distance. Barbara was a fantastic host and we loved her passion for Portugese history and working for Real Companhia Velha. The tasting was extra special with a well appointed tasting room and personal and detailed explanations of the products from Barbara.
Choose this one over the others. We are glad we did.

Visita que no te puedes perder en Oporto, lo mejor es coger un tren turístico al lado de la Sé que te lleva a las bodegas y hace un recorrido por lo más importante de la ciudad viejas. La explicación es muy interesante y tienen intérpretes en varios idiomas. Al final tendrán a probar un blanco y un tinto pero si quieres probar otro ( un rosè, por ejemplo) no tienen ningún problema

Muy linda bodega fuimos 2 personas de habla española. Sin reserva y nos atendieron muy bien. No le doy los 5 puntos porque en el vídeo inicial no era en español. Por lo demás 5 puntos muy buenos oporto entramos con la entrada mínima y degustando 4 tipos de oporto. Lo guía 10 puntos.

Nice facilities and wine tasting has got a lovely environment with themed Bench's and tables. Initial video presentation quite enthusiastic. Staff young but very friendly. The visit to the cellars was a little bit more quick than expected , but the wood barrels are impressive. Room for improvement but in the right path.

Una visita recomendable. No hace falta que vayas hasta la puerta, al lado de la ciudad, en la parte de arriba del puente, hay trenecitos que te incluyen la visita guiada por la bodega, supuestamente la más antigua de oporto. Te ponen un video de la historia y luego te dan una vuelta por la bodega visitando casi todo. Al final te meten en una sala de catas, si te lo curras sales con un pedete interesante. Si tienes suerte y llueve, el trenecito que te ha llevado resvalará por los adoquines y te dejará tirado en alguna cuesta, las risas no tienen precio.

12€ la visita si la compras en la puerta. Incluye un vídeo sin diálogo que no aporta mucho, una visita con explicación y guía a la zona donde tienen los toneles, una visita a donde tienen las botellas de reserva de muchos años y una cata de 4 vinos al final. Es diferente de la visita que se va con tren, como explica otra reseña.

Buena visita guiada, aunque poco extensa, explica con un video la historia de la bodega, y despues pasas a una sala con barriles de vino donde te explican como se elabora el vino de oporto. En cuanto a su precio, no esta nada mal, por tan solo 10€ por adulto y 5€ por niño, disfrutamos de un paseo en tren que nos lleva a la bodega desde la ciudad y nos regresa de vuelta, este tren se demora alrededor de 45 minutos mas 1 hora de visita a la bodega. Al final de todo te dan a probar un vino de Lágrima (Blanco) y un Royal Oporto (Tinto). En definitiva, una buena experiencia si visita Oporto.

Plusieurs forfaits de visite qui définissent les différents Porto dégusté à la fin de cette escapade.
On a pris la visite à 12€/personne
Avec ça on a eu
- une vidéo de présentation sur la compagnie et les vignobles.
- après on a fait la visite de la cave avec tout les Porto dans les fûts et les tonneaux.
[toujours avec des explications super et des réponses à toutes les questions]
- après c’était la visite de la cave privée des propriétaires de la compagnie, on a vu la bouteille du premier porto "vintage" sous cloche, je me souviens plus de l’âge de la bouteille.
- et pour finir la dégustation des quatre Porto avec les explications qui vont avec.
A la fin de tout ça il y a une boutique pour acheter les bouteilles qui vous ont plus ou que vous voulez tester ;)
Les bouteilles vont de quelques euros à plus de 2700€ selon vos goût et les resources.

Vinos exquisitos, se puede hacer una visita a la bodega y te dan a degustar dos vinos. Te dan una pequeña explicación de la bodega y luego puedes comprar sus deliciosos vinos en la tienda. Nosotros lo hemos cogido en un pack con una vuelta a toda la ciudad en un tenecito turístico y luego una vuelta en barco por los seis puentes. El pack nos ha salido por 22€ adultos y 11€ hasta 12 años. Es muy recomendable por ese precio.

Wir haben eine Führung durch den Weinkeller gemacht. Angefangen mit einem ca. 15-minütigen Doku-Film, hat man einen guten Überblick zum Ursprung und der Herstellung bekommen. Anschließend wurden wir durch den Keller, wo die Weinfässer gelagert werden, geführt und man hat uns die unterschiedlichen Jahrgänge sowie die Weinsorten erklärt. Zum Schluss gab es noch je eine Weinprobe mit einem weißen Portwein sowie einem roten Portwein. Man ist für den günstigen Preis voll auf seine Kosten gekommen - kann man nur empfehlen...

I was expecting more attention, regarding the money I gave. Our guide was bored and careless. Just gave us the typical tour to say he did his job, not even trying to behave in a welcoming way. Tour lasted not even 30min.

Tres belle cave de porto.
La visite se fait en plusieurs langues dont le français.
Auparavant un petit film explique l histoire de la cave.
A la fin une dégustation est fort agréable.

I went to this place because I booked a Magic Train tour in Porto. This was the last stop. I paid like 10 euros and learned a lot of the wine making process and also had a taste of two kinds of wines. I loved it. It was very interesting and I had a very good time.

Muy buena visita guiada con nuestra guía en español. Las instalaciones son las propias de una gran bodega de las de antaño. No sé encuentra dentro de las del circuito habitual pues no sé encuentran en la orilla opuesta de la ciudad, pero som fácilmente accesibles vía trenecito que sale cerca de la catedral.

The winery has one of the best tours in this area. They start off with a short film describing the process of planting and picking the grapes to mashing, fermenting and storing the wine. The tour guide gives you an in depth process of this along with how long it takes to make each type. There is a wine tasting at the eñd and a chance to purchase this world reknown wine.

Es lohnt sich hier an einer Führung und Verkostung teilzunehmen. Vor allem die Hintergrundinformationen durch unsere Guide haben uns sehr imponiert. Derartige Einrichtungen erachte ich als wichtig, wenn es um Wissentransfer und Verständnis für Dinge geht.
Die abschließende Verkostung rundete unseren Besuch dort noch ab.

Très jolie cave avec de très bons Porto. La cave "Vintage" est très impressionnante avec de très vieux vins. La dégustation était parfaite (4 vins + 2 autres offerts) pour 15€. La guide (parlant français) est très compétente et attentionnée. Je recommande vivement, bien mieux que les caves très "commerciales" près du Douro.

Overall I enjoyed the tour and had a nice tour guide - however enduring the long and boring video at the start was hard work - it is not well produced and needs to be re done - films should tell a story, be engaging, and Informative - this video did some of the latter but certainly not the first two unfortunately!

Cave un peu éloignée mais qui vaut le détour, la dégustation premium pour 15€/p (7,50€ avec le porto card) est très rentable avec la visite de la cave des millésimes qui est impressionnante.
Le vin est très bon et les explications de Diogo en français ont été intéressantes. Il sait mettre les visiteurs a l'aise et discutera volontiers de ce que vous voulez.

Visite de grande qualité, les lieux sont sublimes, la découverte des caves privées est très impressionnante et la dégustation géniale.
Nous n'étions que 2 et avons eu droit à une visite privée en français sans payer de supplément. Liuba est une guide fantastique, très cultivée, français parfait, drôle. On vous la recommande chaudement !
Forfait classique 12€ : 4 vins et fruits secs
Forfait premium 15€ : idem mais vins de meilleure qualité
Un très bon souvenir !
Point positif, pas de reservation préalable !

Recommended to go without pre-booking a tour. We chose the founders tour where you get to see their old cellar with bottles aging there since several decades (unique experience!), as well as the big oak barrels ofc. Afterwards we got to try 10, 20 and 40 yo ports with really nice explanations about how they taste different, accompanied with a cheese platters. Great experience!

Según nos dijeron en un bar del centro de Oporto, esta era la mejor bodega. Tomamos una visita guiada en autobús y en Español que incluía un buen recorrido en crucero (barco típico de transporte de vino) por el Duero, un viaje en tranvía por la ciudad y la visita a esta bodega. Nos explicaron en un vídeo todo en relación a la bodega, como nació, como creció, procesos de maduración, productos, etc. , después vino la visita a la bodega propiamente dicha y mas tarde una carta de vinos excelente. Muy recomendable.

Вообще всё очень здорово. Правда логистика внутри плохая. То есть дегустации в одном месте, Экскурсии в другом месте, а платить а третьем, это очень неудобно. Но на Экскурсии мы были одни, всё очень подробно и интересно. Правда, я почему-то ожидал большего. Ожидал, что мне покажут как вино делается, разливается по бутылкам, фасуется и складируемая. Но тебе показывают фильм, ведут в помещение с бочками, потом в подвал со старым вином и затем в магазин. Всё выглядит неестественно показательно, то есть рассчитано исключительно на туристов. В реальности виноград уже никто не давит ногами, а вино в 90% случаем держат не в дубовых бочках, а в бочках из нержавейки. Но картинка прикольная и всё очень фотогенично. Дегустацию портвейна взяли зря, он совсем не вкусный. Не люблю такие сладкие напитки.
Но сходит всё же стоит, многим понравится. Я слишком критичен поскольку сам из этой отрасли и знаю как это всё делается.

Accès refusé par le gardien à l'entrée, après un coup de fil à ses supérieurs notifiant que nous avions la Porto card (qui donne un accès gratuit à cette cave), alors que nous sommes arrivé en pleine heure d'ouverture.
La cave est excentrée, difficile d'accès et se situe loin du centre historique et touristique de Porto.

Una bonita bodega digna de visitar. Debería de tener cinco estrellas, pero el buffet libre no quedó muy allá. La comida estaba sosa en general. Los postres deliciosos, eso sí. Y el vino era muy bueno. Tienen dentro de la bodega un ajedrez enorme que te desafía a echar una partida costsntemente.

Cogimos una visita guiada en Español que incluía tren turistico a la Bodega. Visita y crucero por el Duero. Primero nos pusieron un vídeo, luego visitamos la Bodega. La guía no dominaba bien el español por lo que la comunicación del proceso del vino fue escasa. Luego el tren tardó más de 45 minutos en recogernos de la bodega. En mi opinión la visita fue regular frente a otras bodegas que he visitado. El tren luego realizó la visita turística por la ciudad que fue de unos 30 minutos.

Le guide delle cantine sono disponibili e preparate, parlano 4 lingue (en, sp, pt, fr) e spiegano nei minimi dettagli tutti i procedimenti della produzione con un tour annesso alle cantine, il tutto preceduto dalla visione di un filmato sulla storia della nascita della compagnia e della localizzazione dei vigneti. Il vino è buonissimo e a fine tour sono forniti due assaggi di due tipologie dei loro vini. Il tutto è gratis per i possessori della porto card

Tour della cantina soddisfacente. Un corto sulla storia della cantina apre le danze di una visita guidata molto soddisfacente. Attualmente solo in portoghese e spagnolo. La guida, una ragazza di circa 25 anni, molto preparata e disponibile. Dopo la visione del corto abbiamo girato in lungo e in largo la cantina che ospita circa un ottantina di botti e il tutto si è concluso con una piccola degustazione, un bicchiere di bianco (Lagrima) e un bicchiere di rosso (Tinto Do Oporto).
Consiglio di entrare in cantina a stomaco pieno, perché con la degustazione non sono previste le tapas.

Melhor cave de Vinho do Porto. Pode ir de carro, taxi, ou com transporte turístico. Visita básica 7,5€ mas pode escolher provas com vinhos de mais alto valor.

Went there because of it was included in the Porto card. This was my first wine tour and I found it quite informative. We were first shown a 10 minute video after which the tour started followed by the wine tasting at the end. The tour guide answered all the questions and she was quite knowledgeable. Seeing the other comments I'm glad this was the one I went to. I'd recommend it.

We visited a number of cellars whilst in Porto and Real Companhia was by far the best. In the spirit of full disclosure, it was a quiet day as the Red Bull air race was on, however our wonderful guide Ines, gave us an excellent tour. She was extremely knowledgeable and answered all our questions. She gave us lots of time and had a very personal touch - something that was lacking with other cellar tours.
The menu of ports was one of the best we saw on our tour and was fairly prices. Unfortunately the bottles of port were a bit on the pricey side, so we didn't buy any while we were there.
I would strongly recommend this cellar - above the other, potentially better known, but ultimately impersonal and sales focused cellars.

Borkostolón jártunk itt. Élmény volt! Magyarországon legalább 4-5 féle bort kínálnak egy birkóstolón és ételt is adna mellé. Mindenütt más a szokás. Itt túl üzletszerűnek tűnt.

Visita en el tren turístico, nos dejaron en tierra en la bodega metieron en el tren a un grupo posterior al nuestro y nos quedamos esperando en la bodega, NO RECOMIENDO, la visita por el desastre de organización en el trenecito, su conductor solo explico que pusieramos una reclamación a la compañía

Muy buena visita, tuvimos suerte y nos la hicieron en español a solo 3 personas con lo cual era mucho más cercana que otras que hicimos en la que eramos 40. La cata de 4 vinos muy buena también.

A visita (paga) vale muito à pena. A única decepção foi por conta do vinho do Porto, tipo Colheita 20 anos, que custou 80 euros. Ao passar pelo Free Shop em Lisboa vi que custava 54 euros. Como pode um produtor vender muito mais caro que um varejista? Exploração dos turistas? Ponto negativo aqui para a Real Cia. Velha.

Took the €10 train ride from the Cathedral round Porto with port tasting here. You get a guided tour round the cellar and can take as many photos as you want. There was no pressure to purchase. Good value, good port

We were frustrated when looking for a cellar to visit... Most were tourist traps or just tourist centric sites(nothing is done there) not to mention way overpriced. All the ones at the waterfront had fake cellars or none at all and to visit the actual cellar you pay over 20€ and need reservation. This one... Oh boy. You can catch a tourist train at Sé that takes you there, we had no idea, so went by foot. It's 1,3km from the other cellars. It was the hardest hike we've done in a long long time, we almost died from the sight of the never ending hill. But at the end it was heaven, the best experience of our time in Porto, far from the horde of tourists. Best price of them all and the most complete. 4 tastings for each person with bread and assorted nuts included and a complete tour and lesson of the rich culture of this ancient company and how every wine is made for only €7.5, an absolute bargain. It lasts approx 45-80min and make sure you come without a crowd as they adapt to the size of the group. Best under 5 people. All the guides were extremely nice and spoke many languages. Our main guide Diogo(not me) was amazing and since we were alone, gave us the best tour of all, a personalized one, including a visit to the vintage cellars with wine still aging from 1700s. We felt at home and learned a whole lot. The other versions of the tour are also recomended, difference being the taste of even older wines and a lengthier and more extensive visit.
