We stayed here for two nights while we toured the Douro Valley. Elisabethe, the owner and hostess shown in the photo by a port cask from her father's era, made our visit truly exceptional. Don't expect a five-star hotel with private baths and luxurious rooms but do expect an intimate experience with someone wholoves the area and shares her knowledge an enthusiasm for the sights, restaurants, and experiences. Staying here and having one of her picnics on the patio is something we will not forget.

Had a lovely stay at this quinta! Very intimate BnB, which was a great experience out in the country. Elizabet was so kind and lots of great recommendations for our (unfortunately) short stay in the Douro valley. We had her picnic dinner on the grounds which was such a lovely peaceful night, and other guests told us her dinner restaurant recommendations were also on point. Breakfast was fantastic, with great cheeses and homemade jams. Would definitely recommend if you're looking to get to know some locals instead of just be an anonymous hotel guest!

Amazing stay at this fabulous B&B. Owner Liz is extremely nice and has great recommendations about places to visit and restaurants to eat in the area. Make sure to bring one of her lunch baskets on your way to one of the miradouros - an experience to remember! Strongly recommend!

Elisabete and her mom are literaly the best people in the world! They were so kind to us. Really, this is the best real imersion possible in the Douro. We loved EVERYTHING, from the sheets to the kindnest of Elisabete. The place is wonderful. We had acess to a big pool with an incredible view of the Douro montains. The bed was really confortable and the room was perfectly clean. Elisabete really is an amazing woman. She cooks really well. She provided us bottle of wine (great one!) and she did a pic-nik with things from her garden and from different producers around her place. She even do her own olive oil! So good! I could talk about this place for hours, but your definetely should go to see by yourself. 11/10.

Elizabethe was fantastic, our best stay of Portugal so far. Full of enthusiasm and ideas.Great recommendations for dinner nearby. Fabulous room and a home away from home. Breakfast was a great. Good company. Should have stayed longer. Maybe next time.

Such a wonderful stay at Quinta do Fôjo! The food is excellent, the pool is amazing and the beds are comfortable.

Quinta do Fojo is a marvellous place and you will feel like you just reached paradise: beautiful landscape, a nice pool, an amazing house and the most hearty people. Elisabeth and her mother are so nice, they know how to make people to feel comfortable. They recommended us nice places to visit - Pinhao and nice restaurants. The house is decorated so beautifully, the rooms are very nice with an amazing view to vineyards. The bathrooms are shared, but I guarantee you that they are very, very clean. We stayed only for 2 nights, but we had a great time there. For me was the best experience I had in Portugal and for sure I will return there! <3

We've stayed here with Elisabete and her son, daughter and her mother in this beautiful house in August. Took me a long time to write a recommendation. Finally I'll do it :) It was one of the best stays ever! It was such a nice and heart warming stay! We were like at home ! We had the best breakfast and Elisabete was so helpful ! We loved the winetasting and tasted her fathers 40 year old portwine and it was just the best experience ! Wonderful, intimate experience of the Douro Valley staying in a working Quinta with formidable hosts Elisabete and her charming mother. Accommodation comprised beautifully decorated rooms filled with antiques and breathtaking views of the surrounding vineyard clad valleys. Hospitality was warm and friendly and we felt completely at home. Breakfast and picnic lunch was first class with personal touches and local delicacies. With a fantastic wine tasting on offer with really lovely touches from our hosts including lifts to and from town, this was an experience like no other. The swimming pool was a welcome highlight nestled amongst the vines. Highly recommended! We are longing to return. Thank you Elisabete, you are truly a wonderful woman and your wines the best we ever tasted! ❤️ ❤️

Jedním slovem úžasné! Majitelka Elisabete je moc milá dáma s osobním přístupem k hostům. Poradila nám, co navštívit v okolí, zarezervovala nám restauraci na večeři. V nabídce má ochutnávku vín i piknikové koše, bohužel ani jedno jsme nevyužili. Snídaně byla perfektní včetně instruktáže, s čím skvěle chutná který sýr :-) Quinta do Fôjo je krásný starý dům se stylovým vybavením v úžasné lokalitě, kde jste obklopeni vinicemi. A doporučuji určitě také vykoupat se v bazénu. Příště bych zde strávila více nocí než jen jednu. Cítili jsme se zde jako doma.

Endroit merveilleux avec un accueil des plus chaleureux. La bâtisse est magnifique tout comme les vignes qui l'entoure. Le petit déjeuner est également excellent. Un endroit incontournable pour passer une nuit authentique dans le douro.

OMG that was a really nice experience. Elisabete is really lovely lady and her mother too. She has a personal approach to guests. She recommended us many things to do and everything we tried was perfect. I recommend Quinta do Fojo to everyone who wants to try a little different kind of accomodation. We felt like home.

Die beste Unterkunft die ich je hatte in Portugal. Sehr herzliche Lady die diese Quinta führt. Man kann mit jeder Frage zu ihr kommen. Das Frühstück ist sehr lecker. Und der Pool ist sehr schön im Weinberg gelegen.

This was one of our favorite places to stay during our trip to Portugal. Our host went out of her way to make sure we saw all the best stuff and ate the greatest food.

If you like an authentic experience at a quinta in the Douro, visit Quinta do Fojo! You get the best hostess possible in Elisabete. She is welcoming, knowledgeable about all the ins and outs of the region and a great winemaker and cook! We joined her wine tasting tour on the afternoon we arrived and sipped everything she produces on her land - including a mysterious and mouth watering old tawny. The next day there was an absolutely excellent breakfast waiting for us and the other guests. The best part was yet to come: a homemade picknick basket by Elisabete, to be enjoyed on the terrace nearby the swimming pool, which offers amazing views into the Douro valley. And all the extra's are so reasonably priced. Make sure to give QdF a visit, we'll definetly will again

My little place of heaven on earth. Beautiful views, very peaceful location, delicious breakfast, and most of all fantastic hosts... Liz and Manuel are so welcoming and helpful. I felt at home from the first second I entered their house, and can't wait to be back!

Excelente remanso de paz con todas las comodidades básicas. La atención de Elisabethe es de primera: persona cercana y atenta, con una sonrisa siempre disponible. Excelentes vistas del Duero. Un lugar para repetir una y otra vez.

the hosteller is very friendly and tell us the good view of Lamego is St. Leonardo & it's a great place. this building is over 200 years. 葡萄園環繞，非常推薦喜歡葡萄酒文化的人到此一遊。

Perfect place to stay. If you are going by motorbike it's possible to park near the quinta. The incline is high, but the space near the house is more or less flat.

The owner is a lovely lady who does all she can to provide her guests with an exceptional experience. She speaks multiple languages and is highly knowledgeable of the entire Douro River Valley. Quiet, quaint, comfortable vineyard B&B. Well worth the stay if in the area.

Wonderful traditional family house of the lovely lady and mother renting it! Without doubts one of the best views in the region, seriously. Modern luxury of a small pool on the roof, classic furniture and deco inside. Just perfect.
