I wouldn't recommend it at all 12eur for a big group of people a fast speaking guy who is hard to understand plus very short tour. Basically one room. In the end you get two small glasses of portwine. In a restaurant you would get more for that price.

Nice place to spend an hour. Great tasting at the end. Good value for money, especially if purchased in a combo pack. We have visited this place for couple euros.

The visit was very basics as if we had no clue about wines. It is a big tourist-fabric, nothing personalised. We took the German language tour and our guide was speaking so quickly and was so annoying that I would never recommend it to do this tour although it is cheap. I prefer trying the tours of the smaller winekeller in the side roads, just one parallel to the promenade. They are much nicer, more handicraft and individual and tour and tasting cost the same as by the big ones.

Visite très intéressante avec une guide francophone sympathique et agréable. La visite est un peu courte avec beaucoup d’information. La dégustation en groupe à la fin est un moyen de faire des rencontres et de découvrir les différents Porto ! Je recommande

It was part of cruise + cellar experience. Extra 4 euro got us a great tour, interesting insights about Porto wine history and two glasses for tasting! English speaking tours are not that frequent, recommended to sign up in advance or give a quick call. Great experience!

Muy interesante. Enseñan una parte de las instalaciones de la bodega. Te explican la historia de la bodega, diferentes clases de vino de Oporto. Te hacen una pequeña cata de sus vinos y te dan la oportunidad de adquirir sus productos.

Very interesting tour with tasting of Portwine.
We did a tour through the Burmeister building. They have guides for many common languages. We did ours in german and the guide's german was actually pretty good. We had no issues understanding her, she was very knowledgeable and was able to answer even tricky questions in german.
The tour itself took about half and our, wasn't borring or rushed in any way and the building pretty interesting, for somebody that never experienced a tour through a wine cellar/production.
Portwine isn't my favourite drink, but if in town, I'd still recommend this place for a tour or just a drink.
They also have a big store to buy Portwine

Está interesante conocer las bodegas de Oporto. Te cuentan un poco la historia y como hacen los diferentes vinos de Oporto y ves fotos de los campos de viñas. En realidad es una visita corta y al final pruebas 2 o 3 vinos (sin cachito de queso, ni papas fritas ) tampoco es para tanto, pero bueno hay que verlo.

Sehr schöne und rustikale Portweinmanufaktur, -Herstellung und -Verköstigung. Man erfährt viel über die Geschichte des Portweins, dessen Anbau und Herstellung/Reifung.
Die Verköstigung am Ende des Rundgangs mit einem Glas weißen Portweins und einem Glas roten Portweins war auch sehr lecker!
Eine absolute Empfehlung!

Beautiful old Port winehouse. The tour was interesting, with more talking than walking. The building is still used to mature Port wine in barrels. The tour finished with a small tasting. We booked this in combination with a boat tour for about €15.

Una de las casas productoras de vino de Oporto: si no está particularmente interesado, diría que no haga la visita guiada a 12 euros (en otras bodegas también 15), donde al final prueban 2 copas de vino elegidas por ellos, pero para comprar 3 copas elegidas de usted (el precio de la copa puede variar mucho según el vino elegido .......) y, sin embargo, aunque brevemente, el empleado lo describe en sus características.

Une visite fort sympathique de cette cave de Porto, nous avons passé un très bon moment avec notre guide, elle a su nous faire découvrir cet univers avec le sourire, une petite dégustation de 2 portos (un rouge et un blanc)en fin de visite, malheureusement rien pour les enfants, les pauvres ont dû se contenter d'un verre d'eau, j'ai trouvé cela dommage pour eux.

Went for the €12 tour which includes the guided walk through the cellar and a tasting of 1 white port wine and 1 red port wine. Great for an introduction to port, why it's special and unique to Porto, and a bit of the history of the area.
Wish we could have chosen the types of port wine that we would be tasting, but these have already been pre-selected and set out for us. Down the road there are many dining places that provide a €5 for a tasting of 5 different ports, including those from Burmester.

Interesante visita, buena explicación de los vinos de Oporto y su entorno. Cata recomendada "2vinos". La de 3 y chocolate no da tiempo a disfrutarla.
No doy las 5 estrellas por lo siguiente... Te dan un ticket descuento por compras superiores a 40€, pero si comprar 4 botellas que suman 38€ tienes que gastar 2 euros en tonterías para ir te apliquen ese descuento... hubieramos comprado más botellas pero con ese detalle, finalmente las compramos en otra bodega.

Ayer por la tarde estuvimos recorriendo la mayoría de las bodegas de Oporto que no son pocas....
Terminamos en Burmester, situada en uno de los sitios más bonitos de Oporto y con unas vistas espectaculares al puente Don Luis primero.
Estuvimos con Rubén haciendo una cata de los diferentes Portos que hay en la bodega. Recalcar su esfuerzo y genial trabajo. Muchas gracias.

We booked over e-mail and the experience of this process was ok. We had a tour in a group of 8. The information about winemaking were very basic and at least a third of th tasting was direct marketing for their wines rather than learning about the type of wine. It took 30 minutes as your and then we tasted on our own for 15 minutes. The style of the guide was also very commercial, impersonal, non-authentic and due to the expressions and assumptions used it was also quite annoying. Asking questions without waiting 5 seconds for answer and actually hoping there is no dialogue is wrong. The wines were decent, overall value for money debatable at 16 euros. Sorry for 2 stars, but some things need to change. I have no idea if more of the Vila Nova da Gaia cellars offer same type of basic experience, but this is the weakest of 5 wine tours we had in Portugal.

Una pena!!! Reservamos visita a las 18,30 en español y una señorita muy desagradable y antipática nos dijo que no teníamos reserva, que era para las 10,30 de la mañana, que no la habíamos entendido el día anterior, cuando hablaba castellano mejor que yo. Podía habernos dicho la verdad, que solo éramos dos personas y le había salido un grupo de 40 alemanes a la misma hora, lo hizo muy mal y de muy malas maneras, y nosotros nos quedamos con las ganas. Lo dicho, una pena!!!!

Não recomendo pagar pelo tour nessa cava. Os vinhos são bons como os vinhos do Porto em geral são, mas o tour não vale a pena, vc só prova duas variedades e não dura mais que meia hora. Esse tour acontece em uma loja, e não na vinícola.

Una delle case di produzione del vino porto: se non particolarmente interessati direi di non fare il tour guidato a 12 euro (in altre cantine anche 15), dove alla fine fanno assaggiare 2 bicchieri di vino scelto da loro, ma di acquistare 3 bicchieri scelti da voi (il prezzo del bicchiere può variare di molto a seconda del vino scelto .......) e comunque, sia pur brevemente, descritti nelle loro caratteristiche dall'addetto.

Famosa cantina della città, dove abbiamo potuto degustare due tipi di vino (liquoroso, particolare, ma interessante). Cordialità da parte del ragazzo che ci ha guidato alla scoperta di questa cantina. Naturalmente è stata una visita molto piacevole con una degustazione del vino porto.

Great tour and very informative. Our guide Henrick was really funny and kept us interested throughout the tour.
Tours are done in various languages, so do check which one you prefer.
We had a 16€ ticket that included tour, 3 port tastings and 2 chocolates. The 12€ ticket includes tour and 2 wines to taste.
Definitely worth the money! Never tried or knew anything about port and came out with new knowledge and a bottle of port that I really liked.

Sitio típico para visitar a la otra orilla de Oporto. Antigua bodega centenaria. Despues de la visita tienes degustacion de 2 vinos dulces de la bodega, 1 blanco y otro tinto. Hay pases cada 30 minutos.
Antes mejor informarse de los pases en Español ya que cada pase lo hacen en un idioma distinto.

Ein Besuch ist absolut zu empfehlen. Es gibt eine deutsche Führung die sehr unterhaltsam informativ und lustig ist. Die Weinverkostung ist in einer sehr angenehmen Atmosphäre. Es empfiehlt sich die letzte Tour zu nehmen um die Verkostung in vollen Zügen bis zum Ende zu genießen. Das gesamte Gebäude ist sehr schön restauriert.

Very happy with the tour, Stefanie was a wonderful guide and helped our education about Port wines. I enjoyed this flavors maybe better than several other brands. I recommend this visit
