David Quick: We were looking for a private tour of the Douro Valley with a chance to enjoy some good food and wine. Maia Tours was very reasonably priced and offered the ability for us to include a few things we wanted to do. The owner/driver Ricardo Maia was a great choice. Ricardo asked us what we wanted to do while suggesting things he knew we would fine interesting. He booked a lunch reservation and wine tasting for us in advance and his recommendation was excellent. He arrived on time at 9:30 AM and provided us with a very comfortable vehicle with lots of room for the 4 of us. He was very professional in appearance and manner. His English was excellent and he was able to answer our questions with ease. He took the old highway up the valley that meandered through wine country and the many old town along the way. We stopped at a local monastery that dates back to Roman times and had a chance to view some of the old buildings and the bridge that is still in use today. He suggested a sweet shop for a mid-morning snack and it was delicious. As we continued up the valley there was lots to see and learn about. We drove along highway N222 recognized as one of the most magnification drives in Europe and it did not disappoint. Our visit to Quinta Da Pacheca was arranged by Ricardo in advance. We were welcomed at the door and invited into the restaurant where we enjoyed a wonderful lunch with some great wine. After lunch we had the opportunity to taste some more of the award winning wines made at the winery. After a full day we headed down the new highway back to Porto arriving home as planned at 6:30 PM. I highly recommend Maia Tours if you are planning to see the Douro Valley, reasonable in price but excellent in service.

O Norman, Home Depot é uma estranheza entre as lojas de caixas. Embora o seu tamanho o classifique como uma loja C devido à sua pequena metragem quadrada, ele vende regularmente ou vende todos os outros Depósitos Domésticos regionais. Penso que parte disto se deve ao pessoal, muitos dos quais trabalham juntos há 25 anos. Eles gostam uns dos outros e da sua clientela habitual. Sempre prestáveis e conhecedores, são uma alegria estar por perto.

É um lugar encantador. Grandes e agradáveis passadeiras, e você poderia passar HORAS aqui se realmente quisesse. Vou uma vez por mês a cada dois meses e encontro coisas novas de cada vez. Nunca se sabe o que se pode encontrar. Banheiro público disponível, café pequeno com comida rápida nos dias em que está aberto, e eles vão ajudar você a levar os itens para o seu veículo. Eu gostaria que eles investissem em mais alguns carrinhos e um ou dois carrinhos planos para os clientes usarem.

Estes gajos são incríveis. Eles são extremamente conhecedores. Os preços deles são muito competitivos. O mais importante é que, ao contrário de tantas lojas deste tipo, os funcionários agem como se fossem mais espertos ou melhores do que você, estes caras são amigáveis e prestativos. Quero dizer que enquanto esperava pela minha verificação de antecedentes, recebi chá earl gray e apenas sentei e falei com eles.
