My wife and I stayed at Marriott Praia D'El Rey on holiday, and to play golf at the nearby golf courses (Praia D'El Rey and West Cliffs). We had a fantastic time, and found the hotel to be very beautiful and well laid out. Our room was spacious and well laid out, with a balcony and good views.The breakfast buffet is really nice, and the food in the restaurants for dinner is superb. There is also a cool lobby bar, and a sports bar, which are both excellent. However, above all this, I have to mention the staff at the hotel who are absolutely fantastic. They are really welcoming and friendly, and made this holiday a brilliant experience. I have to give a special mention to the Guest Relations Manager, Ines Gil, and her team - they are exceptional & really made our stay extra special. Many thanks indeed - we will definitely go back!!!

Buena localización. Buen aspecto en general del establecimiento. Trato amable. La cama espectacular y Buffet de almohadas. Mal: detalle de bienvenida en una habitación si y en otra no dejaron nada. Mucho ruido por la noche de gente. No nos hacen factura y nos remiten a Expedía pese a que en el Check in nos habían dicho que sí.

Celebrated my son's birthday for the second year here. Staff's attention to detail, friendliness, exceptionally high quality of service, food, facilities and magical location make this place second to none in Portugal and possibly in Europe. Playground for kids and the beach make all the difference for families. Its proximity to the Obidos lagoon for kitesurfing is a major advantage. And nothing is spoilt.

From the moment we arrived everyone made us feel special. From the valet, front desk staff and thirst services. We were upgraded to a beautiful room overlooking the ocean we played a round of golf and the course was beautiful. We ate dinner and the service was magnificent as was the food. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Das Praia d'el Rey Marriott Golf & Beach Resort ist ein ideales Hotel für einen Golf-Urlaub an der portugiesischen Atlantik-Küste. Das Hotel zeichnet sich aus durch einen äußerst freundlichen und kompetenten Service in allen Bereichen (Empfang, Frühstück, Bar, Zimmerservice und insbesondere Guest Relations), seine Lage direkt am Strand und seine Nähe zu 4 sehr guten Golfplätzen (insbesondere West Cliffs). Die in hellem Holz renovierten großzügigen Zimmer sind sehr einladend.

We stayed at the Praia D'El Rey as a family of three and enjoyed a fantastic holiday. Already at the check in we realized how friendly everyone working at the hotel was. This was confirmed during our entire stay! There really was no exception to this "rule"! The hotel has recently been refurbished and we really liked the new decor. The food was excellent especially in the Emprata Restaurant. As our son prefers the "normal" dishes for kids such as spaghetti we were glad that he was able to order from the kids menu in all of the restaurants. My husband went for three rounds of golf on the Praia D'El Rey and the Westcliffs golf course and enjoyed both of the courses. There is a shuttle service to both of the courses as well as to the tennis courts - which is very convenient. All in all, we had a fantastic holiday!

Das Praia D'EL Rey haben wir nun zum 5. Mal im 4. Jahr besucht und sind immer wieder begeistert von der Freundlichkeit des Personals, der Lage des Hauses, dem Service und dem Gesamterlebnis. Selten habe ich ein Hotel erlebt, in das ich so gerne zurückkehre.

Voltamos ao Marriott depois da nossa noite de núpcias e desta vez ainda ficamos mais satisfeitos, o serviço foi 5* durante toda a estadia.

This is another Marriott but with few buts. Nobody met us at the time of arrival and helped with the luggage which was very surprising. We have not had this kind of experience at any other hotel we stayed in Portugal during our vacation. Check in was very cold. Young lady at check in desk was very phlegmatic as if she really didn’t care at all. Breakfast was mediocre so was the dinner buffet we had to ask to bring us few apples and waited as if they went somewhere to get them

Not enough words to describe the fabulous resort. The friendly and smilling staff always available to assist you. A true 5 star hotel and now even better with the refurbished rooms making it even more confortable.

No running water, when it ran... It was between black and muddy, leaving sediment.
The only thing the hotel did was extend the check-out for two hours for all the guests.
To our complaint the room department manager responded with an explanation that simply tries to move the reasponsability away from the hotel.
The only real "compensation" was an emailed voucher to return with the same conditions (hope it doesn't include the muddy water) but with expiration date on March...
Not acceptable...

Gostamos bastante do hotel, desde o dia que chegamos em que fomos presentiados com algumas ofertas, o staff foi bastante educado e sempre atencioso. O que menos nos agradou e que para nós tem alguma relevância foi a parte da restauração. O buffet ao jantar com qualidade mas muito pouca variedade e numa das noites que optamos também por jantar no hotel não havia buffet, mas no mínimo deveria haver um restaurante a la carte, e não, apenas tinham um bar no lobby com snacks. Ora nós escolhemos um hotel de 5 estrelas precisamente para termos todas as condições e como fomos com as crianças, para lhes dar o melhor conforto a elas, evitávamos de sair do hotel à noite mas ficamos surpreendidos pela negativa neste aspecto, apesar de haver um pequeno menu para crianças, este tipo de refeições não é o ideal para elas. A título construtivo, e a meu ver, um hotel de 5 estrelas deveria ter sempre, no mínimo, um restaurante a la carte com várias opções de pratos principais em vez de snacks, de forma a poder agradar a todo o tipo de clientes.

Se este hotel é de 5 estrelas, a pensâo estrelinha é de 10....Equipamentos obsoletos, tomar banho foi impossível (saia um fio de água)...Resposta da receção: Pedimos muuta desculpa, mas é um problema externo ao hotel...será que era meu?! 1 hora na fila para entrar para o pequeno almoço. Atribuem um quarto comunicante (não sei pq), em que se ouvia tudo no quarto ao lado (noite para esquecer) Preço do jantar 30€./ pessoa. Marcam-nos o jantar às 21h30 (quando chegamos estava tudo remexido, sem a minima apresentação nem qualidade).... Conclusão: Experiência.a não repetir....

Most comfortable bed I've ever slept on, view is absolutely amazing. The staff are the most friendliest people on the planet. The television works. Unlike most hotels I've visited... downside is. Badly lit/small room and not enough plug sockets and the sockets they have are in the wrong place...

a localização do hotel junto ao oceano, todo virado para o mar tempestuoso, com excelente cuidado no serviço.
a piscina interior é boa mas a sala ressoa e estavam muitas crianças barulhentas. Devia existir lugar de relaxamento de apoio à piscina um pouco mais afastado do centro de modo a não obrigar a levar com este grande barulho e permitir relaxar.

Wonderful staff in an isolated but beautiful location. Praia D EL Rey golf course is in excellent condition even though overplayed. West Cliff Golf was too difficult for amateur medium handicappers in our opinion. Marriott Hotel is excellent in every way except they should offer a larger range of cuisine from parts of the world with more menu variety daily.

Nous avons séjourné 6 jours en juillet 2018 dans ce complexe et avons été très déçus.
Le site est magnifique mais la propreté des locaux laisse à désirer. Il n'y avait pas de nettoyage autour de la piscine. Le matin, on retrouvait les détritus laissés par les gens la veille. Les poignées de portes donnant accès au restaurant depus la terrasse étaient très sales et pas une seule fois nettoyées pendant notre séjour!
Nous étions en demi-pension: la qualité du buffet du petit déjeuner était correcte mais les repas du soir n'étaient ABSOLUMENT pas à la hauteur d'un hôtel 5*. La qualité de la nourriture était médiocre et la diversité des plats était insuffisante. Nos éléments de comparaison sont les hôtels RIU qui sont largement au dessus de cet hôtel Praia d’el Rey en termes de qualité.
Pendant notre séjour, nous avons subi les nuisances sonores dues au montage et démontage d'une très grande tente pour une réception organisée pour un groupe. Il n’y a pas eu de mots d’excuses de la direction. Les horaires du petit-déjeuner et du repas du soir ont été régulièrement modifiés mais nous n’avons jamais été prévenus.
Nous avons voulu contacter notre tour opérateur « schauinsland-reisen gmbh » mais l’hôtel a prétendu ne pas le connaître.
Le seul petit supermarché du complexe est à plusieurs km donc pas de possibilité d’acheter une simple bouteille d’eau à l’hôtel sauf en passant par un des bars.
En résumé la qualité de cet hôtel n’est ABSOLUMENT pas à la hauteur du prix que nous avons payé et surtout pas d’un hôtel 5*.

Großes Hotel, schön gelegen direkt am Strand, viele Sportmöglichkeiten, etwas weit vom Schuss. Dennoch kann man sich gut hier erholen.
Das Hotel liegt am Ende einer großen Ferienanlage, in der man viele Ferienhäuser, Sportmöglichkeiten, Golfplätze, Tennisplätze, einen kleinen Supermarkt und Restaurants findet. Dennoch ist ein Mietwagen dringend notwendig, um die Umgebung zu erkunden oder auch um Abends in Peniche essen zu gehen
Die Zimmer sind ordentlich, wenn auch nichts besonderes. Blick geht entweder auf den Poolbereich bzw Garten raus oder auf den Golfplatz. Leider hatten wir etwas Pech mit unserem ersten Zimmer. Wir hatten über uns anscheinend eine Familie, die auf dem Fliesenboden morgens ab 7 Uhr Tische und Stühle gerückt hat. Unser zweites Zimmer war dann ruhiger, weil kein Zimmer über uns war. Darauf also achten.
Das Bett ist sehr gemütlich, außerdem gab es eine kleine Sitzecke und einen Schreibtisch im Zimmer. Das Bad ist nicht mehr das Neuste, mit Badewanne, aber in Ordnung.
Der Service vom Concierge und der Rezeption ist wirklich toll. Alles wird sofort bearbeitet und erledigt.
Wir hatten nur Frühstück und sind Abends immer außerhalb essen gegangen, da wir keine Lust auf Buffet hatten. Es gibt aber noch andere Restaurants. Das Frühstück morgens ist sehr voll und es kann vorkommen, dass man in einer Schlange warten muss, bis man einen freien Tisch zugewiesen bekommt. Das Personal ist aber sehr hilfsbereit und schnell. Auch das Buffet ist groß und reichhaltig und lässt keine Wünsche offen.
Der Poolbereich ist groß gestaltet mit vielen Liegen, einen kleinen Kinderpool gibt es. Außerdem ein Spa und Gym. Zum Meer geht es ein paar Treppen hinab, wo auch noch wenige Liegestühle stehen. Hier gibt es dann das übliche Reservieren von Liegen!!! Grausam.
Tennisplätze sind am Anfang der Anlage (man muss dorthin schon fast mit dem Auto fahren), die einen Betonboden haben. Ist nicht mehr ganz aktuell, aber für ein paar Bälle schlagen reicht es.

Das Hotel liegt eine gute Stunde Autofahrt vom Flughafen Lissabon entfernt. Rings um das Hotel gibt es - abgesehen von einer Anlage mit Ferienhäusern und Golfplätzen - nicht besonders viel. Das Hotel lädt also zum Entspannen und Relaxen ein.
Das Haus als auch die Zimmer und das Bad sind sehr sauber, das Personal freundlich und zuvorkommend. Es gibt einen kostenlosen Hotelparkplatz, morgens eine kostenlose „Kaffeebar“ und in der Lobby eine tolle Aussicht auf Pool und Meer.
Das Frühstück ist okay, bedingt durch die etwas ältere Generation und die Golfer geht es zwischen 7 und 8 Uhr etwas intensiver zu als danach. Der Indoorpool ist beheizt, das Fitnessstudio gut ausgestattet und der Aussenbereich mit Pool ruhig. Zum Strand sind es drei Minuten über eine Treppe, tolle Aussicht!
Für meinen Geschmack ist das Spa Menü interessant, aber viel zu teuer!
Empfehle auf jeden Fall mit dem Auto anzureisen, damit man mobil ist. Das Leben - vor allem surfen - findet in den Nachbargemeinden statt.

A good hotel in a beautiful location. I would not consider this to be a 5 star hotel though as it is lacking some basic annuities. During our 5 night stay the hotel could not provide one a la carte restaurant in site. It was buffet, room service or a very basic bar meal in a space just off the main reception. We were upgraded to an ocean view suite which was lovely but the bathroom was very disappointing. The shower cubicle was tiny, the shower was loose on the wall and the cubicle needed regrouting and retiling. Such a pity these items let it down as the ambience and general service was excellent.

Wir haben uns kurzfristig entschieden hier zu buchen. Das Hotel liegt sehr schön an den Klippen und die Ruhe ist einfach herrlich. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich. Das ganze Konzept ist stimmig und unser Zimmer 322 war einfach super ! Das einzige Manko, dass ich aufführen möchte, ist der Service beim Frühstück. Leider hat uns dieser nicht überzeugt.

This hotel is close enough to Obidos to take day trips there and surrounding areas, but right on the ocean/golf course so you can relax and be pampered as well. Excellent service in every way. You do need a car though and it is a bit out of the way to get to, but once there, its fabulous!

Can not say enough good things about our stay at Praia D’El Rey Marriot. First, the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Can not say enough about the staff! Our room was cleaned and smelled so nice everyday, loved the free liter of water in our room daily. The food buffets were good, a little pricey, but lots of options, even a gluten free area and other milk choices like soy, etc not just dairy. The yoga class I took was enjoyable with the sea breeze, and the day spent on the beach and by the pool with a drink was great. My husband LOVED golfing by the beach, and we would definitely return to this resort in a heartbeat!

O hotel apresenta muitos factores diferenciadores de outras unidades: a entrada ampla contempla o mar com o magnifico bar onde se pode conviver e ouvir música ao vivo; o jantar de buffett é simplesmente divinal e o pequeno almoço soberbo; o healthclub é bastante completo e as piscinas enormes, bonitas e muito bem tratadas. E a praia a um passo.

This Marriott property has an excellent location in a quiet place at the Atlantic coast, bringing roaring surf and wild sceneries, inviting for long walks. In winter, though, the beach access needs first a nice walk few hundred meters along the coast. Very good starting point for sightseeing. Obidos, Batalha, Alcobaca, Nazare, Ourem or Tomar need only a short drive, the roman ruins in Conimbriga or Almoural castle still manageable in a daily trip. Extended free parking area. Being spoilt by delicious food, one has energy for a good workout in a well equipped gym or indoor pool. Friendly, polite and needs anticipating personnel, as the cook at the breakfast buffet, discussing with me what is the right dose of chili peppers in your omelette (request more - the Portuguese cuisine is on the mild side).
If you come to Lisbon after your stay at the Atlantic, the city with its hotels will feel noisy and dirty and people ignorant.

This is one of the finest Marriott resorts. The service was from check-in all the way to valet parking were outstanding. The ocean view suite was breathtaking. The suite was very large with the finest quality bedding. When we go in suite, there were 4 hot pastel de nata and a fine quality port wine waiting for us. This resort has 3 restaurants. We dined at the Emprata restaurant. The seafood preparation, flavors, and plating were michelin quality. I highly recommend this resort, estaurant, and service.

It starts the marriott way, you get email one day before you check in . “Wanna check in earlier, let us know, special requests let us know”. Marriott is for me the example how to get close to your customer online. Impressive!
Check in was personalized and friendly. Upgraded room, sea view. Room is spacious, efficient , not super duper luxe, but all amenities are present including the great marriott bed. TV with many (English) channels. Fine breakfast with lots of choices. Location Location etc. Because for golf lovers its in the epic center of four beautiful golfs. Beach next door. 50 meters in front of the hotel.
And room rates can be very attractive !!
Only minor point, its a bit isolated for non golfers, or those who wanna go sight seeing. 25’ from the lovely charming village of Obidos.
But the personalized service of each and every staff impressed us most and gives you a very comfortable feeling.

Desayuno no acordé a la categoría del hotel. Cena buffet muy mediocre y con poca variedad, en contraste con su alto precio (32,50€/adulto). No incluye bebidas (1 botella de agua casi 5€). No hay nada cerca (NADA). No repetiremos.

Amazing hotel in amazing location, but the beds ruin the whole experience. Beds are (new) super hard spring mattresses (Molaflex) on a wooden plate with a cheap top mattress. We asked, and all rooms (also the premium rooms) have the same beds. We were there for 2 nights with 3 families and all had the same experience. Hotel staff said they never had those complaints. It's sad to spend holidays in such a nice location and come out of it like broken zombies.

Hotel service was great. Staffs are kind and helpful. They provide many treats such as welcome drinks, and each day I have porto wine and egg tart and portugals cake. And coffee and cookies are always available at the lobby. I went there for golf, so I have not had any facilities such as swimming pools. But I can expect they are nice.The one thing that I dont satisfy is the foods. Foods are just normal..and not so delicious..even other club house as well.Hope hotel try to develop new menu and improve quality of food.But all was perfect for me! Definitely I will go there again!

Es fehlte an Auswahl beim Fleisch. Das Bar Restaurant war gut aber eben wie für eine Bar mit limitierter Auswahl. Es fehlte ein Gourmet Restaurant.Auf dem Spazierweg über den Klippen (Cliffs) war der Abfalleimer überfüllt. Abfall lag rundherum am Boden. Am Strand lag ein toter Vogel, Schwemmholz und Plastik.

A simpatia e profissionalismo dos colaboradores todos. Excelente localização.
O jantar buffet de sábado considerei um pouco dispendioso para a escolha e produtos que apresentaram tendo em conta a localização do hotel. Talvez mais peixe fresco e legumes variados. Os quartos são espaçosos e confortáveis com vistas fantásticas. Boa experiência de uma escapadinha em família.

One of the best beach+golf resorts i have ever been to. Super friendly staff, massive value for money. The food is great and the property is impressive. Highly recommended.
The golf range requires a handicap to play but driving range is available for all. Trousers and proper golfing attire is required. The club costs 5 euros and you get 50 balls for as many euros. Totally worth it if you ask me, given the quality of the golf club.

Hotel de cinco estrellas situado en la misma playa,en general bien aunque el nivel del desayuno no está a la altura de la categoría del hotel,no me ha gustado que hagan un prepago el día de llegada cuando bastaría con la garantía de la tarjeta de crédito.Fuimos diez personas a jugar al golf y una por motivos de salud totalmente imprevistos no pudo jugar,lo advertimos el primer día y sin embargo nos exigieron el pago de los green fee de todos los días cosa que no me parece razonable,nos hemos ido bastante decepcionados y no repetiremos.

O Hotel é absolutamente lindo e com um staff simpático e maravilhoso tornou esta estadia um sonho apesar de curta. I picked the hotel because I wanted to play some golf during my stay. Unfortunately I arrived at night and I had a terrible time finding the resort because the signed were small and difficult to see. The golf was ok but I ended up mixed in with a group of Britts that were playing a tournament. I was by myself and had to wait on every hole. I wished I would have been told about the tournament when I made my tee time.

Hotel bietet Entspannung, Genuss und Sportmöglichkeiten in bester Umgebung.
Die Größe des Hotels wird auf Grund der Gestaltung nur selten bemerkbar. Kulinarisch abwechslungsreich auf hohem Niveau. Zimmer mit frontalem Meerblick ist absolut zu empfehlen.

Sensationelles Hotel - freundliches Personal, sauberes Hotel, wunderschöne Zimmer, geschmackvolle Außenanlagen, gutes Essen.
Einziger Kritikpunkt wenn man möchte: Hotspots wie Lissabon liegen 1 Autostunde entfernt. Empfehle ein Mietauto- somit ist man unabhängig. Wir kommen wieder!

ポルトガルでの多肉植物の花畑でのゴルフ・プレイはまさに天国と地獄でした。ラフが恋しく思えるゴルフ場で、お花畑に囲まれてのゴルフボール探しは困難を極めます。景観は素晴らしく、是非また来たいと思いたいのですが、僕のゴルフ脳ではそうそう簡単には再チャレンジできないでしょう。

Used points and was upgraded to a suite. Amazing hotel with great services. We tried using the pool and hot tub but they didn’t seem warm so we opted for the steam room. Grounds are beautiful and right on the beach (although not hotel property thanks to the signs). Had a wonderful breakfast included and coffee in the room. Would come back.

Wir kommen schon seit vielen Jahren in das Praia D'El Rey und fühlen uns dort sehr zu Hause.
Allerdings hatten wir in der Vergangenheit beobachtet, dass sich der gewohnte Standard nach und nach verringerte.
Durch die Renovierungen in den beiden letzten Jahren und einigen Neuorganisationen hat das Hotel es aber wieder geschafft einen einzigartigen Standard zu setzen, der einem 5-Sterne-Hotel würdig ist.
Trotz (oder gerade wegen) dieser Änderungen fühlen wir uns immer noch wie zu Hause,
danke!!

Somos una familia con tres niños pequeños (entre ellos un bebé) y hemos estado genial en este hotel. Es una maravilla todo, muy cómodo, vistas fantásticas, con todas las instalaciones (buen acceso a la playa, piscina interior y exterior, kids club precioso, amplio césped para que jueguen los niños al fútbol y campo de voleibol, restaurantes, habitaciones comodisimas), muchas actividades y deportes, posibilidad de hacer turismo en los alrededores (Óbidos, laguna de Óbidos, Caldas da Rainha, Nazaré, Buddha Eden...) y lo mejor es el personal, muy atentos en todo y siempre dispuestos a ayudarte. En definitiva, unas vacaciones en familia maravillosas, recomiendo 100% la estancia, volveremos!!

Un hotel muy acogedor. Es tranquilo, las instalaciones son muy buenas. Tiene bajada a la playa con hamacas propias del hotel. Dispone de piscina exterior con muchas hamacas y piscina cubierta de muy buen tamaño. Tiene al lado un campo de golf. Hay varios restaurantes y salones. Tiene miniclub para niños pequeños y varias zonas para que jueguen los niños no tan pequeños

It's important to recognize this property is a resort in a secluded golf village, so expect limited dining and shopping. If you come to enjoy the spectacular private beach, nice pool, well-equipped rooms, and surroundings with a rental car, then you'll love it as we did. The staff and service at this property were outstanding. I stay at many Marriott/SPG and luxury hotels and I have never experienced such consistent excellent, friendly service elsewhere. From check-in to breakfast, to walking in the halls, to requesting extra towels, to the departure – it was superb, without being too much or fake. Inês Gil, the Guest Relations Manager, deserves accolades for her hospitality and team.
