This is Portugal at its best. The farm feels very old world, so you can easily sink into the lands natural beauty. Fruit and olive trees abound and are especially glorious in the afternoon light. The owners are very friendly and anxious to share every nook and cranny of what makes this region so spectacular. We had a wonderful experience at Monte de Ceitil and our family plans to visit again.

I was completely enchanted by Quinta do Ceitil! Upon arriving, I was taken with the simple beauty of the buildings and the property. There is a sense of balance and harmony with nature that is relaxing and soothing. The authenticity of the orchard, the sheep grazing in the pasture, the friendly dogs, and the charming farmhouse all make Monte do Ceitil feel unhurried and welcoming. Gazing out and seeing nothing but blue skies and neighboring vineyards was the icing on the cake. This is the kind of place that would inspire poets and dreamers. I didn't want to leave!

We had a wonderful experience at this gem of a farm, located near the charming town of Estremoz. We played with the newborn sheep, harvested oranges and walnuts and enjoyed lunch with the owners, Maureen and Joao. We loved hearing their story and their big plans for this beautiful place. Strongly recommend.
