The food there is exceptional. Me and my girlfriend visited this place three times! Everything was served nicely and tasted delicious. I recommend ribs, seared tuna steak and dourada fish. The owner (the older guy ;)) is just amazing - very welcoming, caring and friendly towards small children. Ignore the comments about the rude service, I absolutely had a great experience visiting this place and it certainly deserves more stars. Keep it up guys!! I posted the menu photos :)

The service was great and the food is lovely. Located right on the beach, but if you drive be warned the access road is extremely bumpy and uneven! Highly recommended for the food.

It’s a real shame food and menu is terrible, Blackpool pleasure beach stuff and the place I really looking shabby given the location and outlook this should be top notch but not a patch on Burgua beach bar

Love this place. It's like it was designed with me in mind. Great beers on tap, piri-piri prawns and chicken and finishing with a Lavazza coffee. Staff are super friendly and good with the kids. Prices are also reasonable for its beachside location. Oh, and the beach!

Aunque habíamos visto algunas críticas malas los cuatro amigos que íbamos nos hemos comido una de las mejores hamburguesas de nuestra vida acompañadas de unas patatas fritas que estaban riquísimas. Precios bastante asequibles a 10 € la hamburguesa. Tienen unos helados artesanales que están riquísimos.

Hay que reservar entre las 11:00 y 12:00 de la mañana, el servicio es atento pero con calma, productos buenos, modernos a precio asequible y a pie de playa.

Rude & aggressive attitude from management - The beach itself and the view is breathtaking. Must be one of the most wonderful spots we have seen in all of Portugal. The only thing that ruined our wonderful day there was the attitude and treatment we got from the restaurant owner.
My husband was seating on the chairs outside, and the paint of the chairs came off and stuck to his skin. It took us 20 minutes to rub it out with water and soap (!). You would assume that after such an experience the owners would be apologetic, but instead he actually blamed my husband for not wearing a shirt. Let's be perfectly clear here - this is a beach restaurant (even says so in the name) - the outside seating area is covered with sand as you can also see from the pictures, so with all due respect not wearing a shirt in such a place would make sense. The manager was so rude and aggressive that it totally ruined our whole experience and we decided to never go back there again. So yes, go to the beach, it's lovely - but I wouldn't give that place even 1 cent.

You would not expect this at a beach hut, but it actually is the best restaurant west of Lagos. Specially the Tuna represents a culinary highlight. Some hidden champ, but a reservation is highly recommended.

What.A.Meal. Wow! Being a seafront restaurant (which often disappoint), I'd lowered my expectations but this place blew my socks off! Went for the seared sesame crusted tuna salad with a side of bread, cheese and olives (AKA couvert) and it was the best meal I've had in a very long time; Michelin-star quality at a reasonable price. With staff very friendly and located a stone's throw from the beach too this place is a must-visit!

The food as always was 10 out of 10. We were served by the famous son of John Oats, from Hall and Oats fame.. Couldn't have been a nicer evening. Thankyou again for making such a lovely eating experience. From the Cool granny and crew.

Världen godaste tonfisksallad. Värt körningen bara för matens skull. Stranden är helt okej, tom på folk om man jämför med de andra stränderna i närheten, den är lång och fin, men inget speciellt. Dock, är maten gudomlig.

Caro, muy caro y encima, mal educados, llegamos a tomar cafe y compramos pastelitos, porque no tienen, no te dejan comertelos, alegando que tienen otras cosas....que me voy a tomar el cafe con una bolsa de patatas fritas??? Malos modos y caro, 280 el galao y 130 el expresso, que en cualquier playa de portimao, no llega al euro, y esta a 20 minutos, impresentables

New Management? Service personnel obviously not happy.... Place still great but Jazz evening was not live music, it was a jazz club with no chance of having a conversation. Need to shape up otherwise will drop in attractiveness. Been there 15 times, big difference....

Zweimal ein grandioses Nachtessen im Cabanas genossen, zu Live-Musik und vielen freundlichen Gesichtern. Für unsere Familie das Restaurant-Highlight der Portugal-Ferien schlechthin, absolut zu empfehlen, ungeachtet ob mit einem kurzen Schwumm im Meer und Apéro oder direkt zum Nachtessen, beides passt wunderbar. Eine Tischreservation ist empfehlenswert. Unsere Tipps: Der Thunfisch, die Burger sowie die Dorade... Danke dem Cabanas-Team, ihr macht einen Super-Job!

Cabana Burger and white chocolate cheesecake were very good but I hated the California chicken wrap. would definitely not recommend the wrap but it might be personal opinion. Also the service and view are amazing. 4/5

Fantastic food and a first class manager. Tucked away on a remote beach and rather hard to find the Cabanas beach bar is a realgem!
We went on a hot Sunday lunch time and the place was absolutely heaving! Miguel, The manager was a real star, fast, firm with his staff and with a sense of humour he ran the whole show brilliantly. The food came quickly and was excellent. The pre-peeled prawns and calamari were especially fine.
A must visit beach bar with restaurant standard food at reasonable prices.

Un restaurante muy bien puesto (bien decorado) justo en la entrada de la playa. La comida estuvo bien pero se ve inmediatamente que está pensado para el público inglés. Pedimos unos calamares fritos, pollo ahumado y un atún asado con batatas. Nos gustó. También había en la carta mucha hamburguesa, pizzas y carnes. El postre bien. La atención del personal muy amable. Sabiendo lo que hay me parece un buen restaurante y muy conveniente por la ubicación si planeas pasar el día en esa playa.

Cabanas beach bar is in one word perfect! Recommended by friends we are thrilled we found this little gem.
You will need a car to get there but it is worth it! With an Ibiza vibe and chilled out atmosphere you could dress up or walk straight off the beach.
The staff are fantastic and the service is outstanding, nothing is too much trouble.
We went with the kids in tow and they enjoyed running around in the safe beach area outside with the other kids that were there and spag Bol on the menu got the thumbs up!
THe menu is ideal with a choice of steak, burgers (the fish burger looks amazing) fresh fish, salads and ribs! I had the prawns 10/10!
We will without a doubt be back.

We had a great wedding at the restaurant last Saturday for Brian and Nancy. We were so lucky with the weather and the staff were great. We had a BBQ and snacks later on the evening. The whole day was just fantastic.

I have to warn you....you may never want to leave ! So don't! Stay, snack, sun, sip, shade. There's two parts to cabanas - outside and inside....first the outside...The sand is soft, drinks are crisp and cold, ocean views and breezes idyllic...live music lots of nights and the night we saw was rocking.....all this can be enjoyed from a lounging position among the bean bag recliner chairs in the sand...that right. Toes sandy, rest of you propped. Atmosphere is super laid back in the outside area. try some snacks, they re all yummy....prawns , nachos, crab cake , mussels, yum yum. Inside has calm simple tasteful decor, a more robust menu, but also captures beachside relaxing perfectly. Owner and staff are friendly and funny. Go. To. The beanbags !

Awesome place, not crowded, with bean bags chill out zone and live music in the evening. Food is great and cheap. Only weak point: they were too slow serving the food. Still 5 star :)
