The best Restaurant in Salema Beach.
Child friendly. During low season it closed at Thursday for staff break.
It's running by Cristiano, take over is father Assildo.
The terrace face on the ocean is one of the best from the wester Algarve

We came here because Google Maps said they offer “Great Cocktails”. I was looking for a gin martini. The manager said they do not offer cocktails. So, no gin martini. But at least the location and view were great. I am only downgrading my rating to a 2 because of the false advertising of the cocktails.

Schöne Lage in netter Bucht. Mehr positives gibt es aber auch nicht zu berichten. Essen nicht gut (in vegetarischen Nudel Fischgräte, Salat mit Mayonnaise aus dem Glas) und sehr teuer. Kellner völlig teilnahmslos. Schlechtestes Essen seit langem!

Unbelievable we are locals,speak Portuguese, went for morning coffee,toast,,lovely location ok,but coffee arrives so dark,we say too strong can we have extra milk,ok milk comes,still the most bad tasty coffe I have had in Portugal. When we paid we said how bad the coffee was,,his reply,,yes we have had lots of complaints, the girl is new!!!Not even,ow sorry we wont charge for one!!
Terrible,don't care how good location, they should be doing best to serve everyone, winter or summer, locals or not!
Really people need to start shunning places that cannot serve or reimburse for poor service.We will not go again!

Wonderful position and menu choice. But sadly let Down by slow service and cold plates. By the time our order had sat at the kitchen window for five mins it had lost much of it's glow.
But the vow was everything.

This place is in a delightful position, has good waiters and was very busy at lunchtime in February. Prices are fair but it drops a star due to bland food where it seemed that seasoning had been missed. Right on the front at Praia de Salema with it's own steps to the beach.

Eten ok, bediening stug. Honden mogen in tegenstelling tot voorgaande jaren niet meer mee op het terras, echter wel vol met katten.
Food ok, service not up to par. Dogs not welcome anymore on terras, however full with cats.

Great location in Salema beach, outside seating right on the beach. Parking in town. The staff was friendly and the coffee was great. Enjoyed an early morning coffee outside and watched the waves come in. Would like to return for lunch or a dinner. The menu looks very good, but have yet to try the food, but will update the review at that time.

Direkt am Sandstrand gelegen. Es gibt sehr frischen Fisch. Beilagen eher englisch d.h. ohne Salz, das aber auf dem Tisch steht.

Lång väntetid på maten och allt annat med är väldigt långsamt tyvärr. När man har bra mat så borde man vara mer på hugget och se till att väntetiden blir bättre. Lite mer struktur här, så skulle detta ställe bli det bästa matställe i Salema. Men säkert svårt att få till detta säkert. Dom får helt enkelt fråga mig hur man blir bäst inom restaurangbranschen.

Básicamente caro.
Está en un sitio muy bonito junto a la playa.
Tiene una zona de snacks y hamburguesas más informal.
Nosotros estuvimos en el restaurante.
Ensalada de la casa (ensalada de macarrones con jamón york y queso, eso nos pasa por no preguntar) 12 euros.
Rape con gambas en salsa 16 euros. Estaba muy rico, eso sí.
Muy bien servido y rápido.

Superbe vue. Belle terrasse. Nourriture rien de spécial avec très peu de garniture (fade). Service pas agréable, serveur voulais juste nous servir vite fait et n'a même pas demandé si ça nous a plu. Les pâtes pour mon enfants trop cuit et sans sel. Il me semble que ce restaurant s'enfiche de ses clients.

Normalito, hemos ido un lunes a las 16h o así, veníamos del viaje desde España, lo primero que hicimos fue ir a la playa a darnos un baño, se nos hizo tarde y teníamos hambre. Al menos te sirven a esas horas comida, y está a pie de playa, vistas muy bonitas. Esperas un poco largas, pero buen trato. No es muy caro, pero la comida normalita, nos pedimos sandwiches y hamburguesas.

Mau serviço, mau atendimento, jovens empregados humildes mas sem qualquer apoio por parte dos mais velhos. Imenso tempo para atender o cliente. Mal organizado....tudo isto para beber uma cerveja e tentar petiscar qualquer coisa....fiquei pela cerveja e vim embora....muito mau.

Great baked octopus. Monkfish/prawns in saffron sauce as good as always. Penne carbonara popular with the kids. Bit slow getting the bill, but they had had a very busy lunchtime.

Restaurant right overlooking the beach and that is it's biggest selling point. Food is ok. Full English breakfast contains a surprise or two. Not too bad though. We were back a couple of days later and the service was appalling. We waited for almost an hour for things from the snack menu. Below is a picture of my chicken sandwich and I still can't figure out why, there was more tomato than chicken.

Tourists beware! I guess that the people who right good reviews about this place have been lucky or drunk a little too much and do not realise that they have been conned. Been there twice and never again. Only good thing about it is the view over the sea and the small portions of food if you want to lose weight. Grilled sardines come with only half a boiled potato. Apparently that is the way that the have always served them and always will regardless of what customers think. Over priced tropical salad comes with some sauce on it which looks like vomit. Rabbit meal comes with a few minuscule lumps of rabbit and 2 slices of vegetables. Left feeling hungry and went elsewhere for some proper food.

Aberto o dia todo desde as 10h até as 22h
Além do serviço normal de restaurante já realizou também casamentos com cerimónia na praia e outras festas particulares

AWFUL. Waiter had a bad attitude from the start. I ordered a Martini. What I got was some horrific concoction. The sardine pate was in a can a.k.a. catfood style. Nasty. Husband and I both ordered Tuna. Expected a nice Tuna fillet with a light creamy sauce. Instead got Tuna and pub fries that were drowning in a pool of some kind of gravy sauce. Waiter completely ignored us but was very attentive to many other patrons that must be regulars because we were basically invisible. Had to ask for our check 3 times. We recently had the best meal of our lives in Nazare. This was the polar opposite. Very disappointed.

Poor service and very average food for the price you pay. It also took a long time for the food to arrive. Whenever my friends and I asked how much longer till any of the dishes we ordered would arrive, the waiter was very rude and abrupt and not willing to help. Chose to come here as we were ravenous and wanted food ASAP- only to be left feeling hungry for a good hour before the food arrived. People who arrived up to 15-20 min after we did got their food before my friends and I. Very disappointing experience and while we were around the area, we were happy not to go there again. Didn’t even bother taking photos of the food because I was that disappointed with my experience. Make sure you book a table in advance if you want a decent view of the beach.

Sehr Originelles Essen, ich zum Beispiel empfehle die Garnelen mit Currysouce, hatte zwar noch nie zuvor gegessen, aber sie haben überraschend gut geschmeckt. Das Personal ist auf alle wünsche eingegangen und dem Rest meiner Gruppe hat es auch gemundet!
Obwohl es schon dunkel war, trotzdem eine schöne Meer lage.

Naja.... Portionen sehr klein. Mein Salat war mehr Beilage als Hauptgang. Hähnchen war trocken.
Die Burger waren laut Aussage meiner Begleitung 'Ok', ebenfalls für den Preis zu wenig.
Nicht noch mal. Dazu kam, dass zwei Gäste permanent laute Musik von ihrem Smartphones spielten und die Bedienungen ließen sie gewähren.

We have been going to the Atlantico for more than 25 years. The food and service were always good and in the past few years it has become even better. If you love fish, this is the place to go especially at lunchtime when you can sit on the sunlit terrace and overlook one of the best beaches in the Algarve. Tip: choose the fish for 2 - sea bass or bream. It is line caught rather than farmed and it is a delicious meal.

Bad service, Mediocre food
My family and I went here on our first day in Salema. We had to ask to be seated and our waiter had a bad attitude. When asking for our meal we also ordered a jug of tap water, but when it arrived it was miniature, and barely enough for 2 people. They didnt offer to pour, refill, and were completely oblivious to the fact that it wasn't enough for the four of us.
The food was of such poor quality and bland, especially after such a long wait.
I wouldn't recommend eating to here to anyone, unless you're hungry for poor food and a bad service

Lovely location but lousy and absolutely unfriendly waiters. They did not get the orders right and wanted to get paid for food they forgot instead of apologizing for the mistake and bad service. Food was also disgusting...what a waste at a beautiful location and beach.

Servicio lento lento a pesar de estar prácticamente vacío, parece que aquí se trabaja así . El servicio pésimo, el dueño que bastante antipático me recrimino que mi niño de dos años llorase. No sabia que un chiringuito playero no están acostumbrados a tener niños . Para no ir.

Le seul point fort et l’emplacement, pour le reste c’est zéro pointé ! Aucun sens de l’amabilité, nourriture sans goût . On paie l’addition avec le sentiment de s’être fait avoir.
Piège à touristes, il vaut mieux se retirer dans les ruelles et manger correctement et coûteusement.

Un delai d’une heure montre en main entre la commande et l’arrivée de plats sans aucun intéret, le tout avec un enfant en bas âge affamé, un service sans aucune attention et une addition non negligeable. Ce restaurant ne semble avoir que l’emplacement comme point fort.

Tasty local cuisine directly on one of the nicest beaches in the area, but with access also from the town. A good selection of daily catch and some classics for every taste at reasonable prices. For a perfect surf'n'turf experience, you have to try tuna with creamy bacon sauce! It's just delicious!

Ok food but really bad service first time we were there for lunch. The second time we went for dinner 15 people and was welcomed but then another person (manager?) came and said now in a very hostile way. It wasn't full in any way and you can turn down people in a nice way. Never went back not even for a beer when on the beach. Dont go here!

Prostredie pekné, jedlo neprimerané k cene. Grilované kura u nich znamená mastné hranolky podávané s tromi hubami a krídielkami. Veľké sklamanie. Menu bolo neprehľadné, porcie malé,zloženie jedál nebolo uvedené. Drink menu nosia len na požiadanie. Neodporúčam. Je tu viac lepších reštaurácií.

Vraiment un super établissement. Un parking gratuit. Une superbe terrasse face à la mer . J'ai passé un excellent dîner la cuisson du poisson nickel vraiment félicitations à la cuisine que l'on oubli assez souvent et le personnel super sympa et très professionnels et avec le sourire cela devient rare félicitations encore. en plus il accepte les réservations je recommande vivement l'établissement

Fui muito mau tratada pelo proprietário, fui usar a casa de banho do restaurante que fica embaixo para os clientes que estão usando os serviços de consencao a única casa de banho que estava minimamente em condição de uso era dos deficientes,e como estava desocupada utilizei para meu filho de 5 anos que necessitava .fechei a porta e quando vo para abrir portanto não consegui abrir a porta por dentro,depois solicitei ajuda pq estava trancada em uma casa de banho sem janelas sem ventilação nenhuma,eles tentaram mas de 50 minutos de tentativa já não estava mas aguentando com meu filho vomitando e sem ar desfaleceu por várias vezes entrou em pânico já não tinha mas força pensava que íamos falecer ali meu filho dizia mãe vo morrer primeiro que você.finalmente conseguiram abrir a porta, e quando abriam a porta fui abordada pelo proprietário com agressividade me acusando que estava usando uma casa de banho que não deveria pq era casa de banho de deficientes, portanto quando percebeu que não era portuguesa me mandou/me ir para meu país e fez ofensas ferbais

My friend ordered orange juice and if cine with a worm! When we told the manager he simply told us that there was nothing he could do. He also charged us for the full amount insisting the oranges were freshed.
Be careful when you order orange juice!
The view was stunning though and the other people seemed to enjoy.
A shame thought we would have been happy with an apology!

Sehr schönes Restaurant in toller Lage. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Auch ein Rindersteak hat sehr gut geschmeckt, Fisch ist natürlich die Spezialität.

Wat een afgang, wij zijn geen vis eters dus namen we wat anders van de kaart.
Dit moet u niet doen, het is werkelijk niet te eten, namen een pasta bolognese, hier zat geen saus op alleen wat gehakt, niet eens kruiden, snap niet dat ze dit zo durven serveren.
Zou hier niet gaan eten.

First restaurant we visited and the food with service was good.
02/08; Went back for evening dinner and I have easily given it the 5th star. Had the monkfish main and it was cooked beautifully. The service was superb as they brought us inside just before our main, as a table became available and the wind was picking up.

The food (fish cataplana for 2 people) was really good, no complaints there. The service was nice, but kinda slow - we originally planned on spending about an hour there and then continue with what we had planned, but it actually was closer to 2 hours mostly just spent waiting. Also had to ask for the bill twice (since we were kinda in a hurry at that point) and it still took them over 20 minutes to actually produce it, even though there was hardly any other guests by the time we have finished eating and the staff was chatting at the bar. So make sure you have plenty of time while going there (unlike us) and you will probably be very satisfied ;)
