Hab ich in Luzern nicht erwartet. Das Thunfischtatar war das beste, dass ich je gegessen habe und es waren mittlerweile einige. Schade, dass wir YOLO erst am letzten Tag entdeckt haben.

Perfektes 3 Gänge Menü. Empfehlenswert

Da das Boaty's heute Ruhetag hat, haben wir die Schwester YOLO ausprobiert und waren genau so begeistert. Das Essen war einfach nur spitzenmäßig.

Prima gegeten bij dit restaurant. Je kan kiezen uit een 2 of 3 gangen menu. Wij hadden de kip kroketten en tuna tartaar vooraf, erg lekker. Hoofdgerecht de spare ribs en de rib-eye. Vlees was van goede kwaliteit en goed gebakken. Helaas is het garnituur aan de karige kant en was de patat niet lekker. Het bananen karamel toetje was super. Personeel is vriendelijk maar gezien de prijs en de paar minpuntjes geen 5 sterren.

Visited again and have been for the last 3 years since opening... consistently excellent food, service and ambience...from the very first visit when the proprietor, Hans invited us in as we were checking out the street menu, we've been hooked...he's now recently opened Boaty's just down the road from YOLO...it's equally on an excellent level...great chefs - the presentation perfect!

It's a cute decorated restaurant, but: my meal wasn't exactly what I ordered, it was only partly(and that part very specifc) described and the taste is definitely not for everybody and kinda weird. And don't order water, You just get a plastic bottle right out of the supermarket but totally overpriced. I also ordered a dessert without nuts because I'm allergic to that and somehow I still got the allergic reaction?! Out of the other two persons I went with only one kinda enjoyed it. If you want to sit on the balcony, I can tell you you'll look at dirty walls and not at the sea. At the end I also want to point out that the name says to me that the restaurant is for "older" people who want to feel young, because no young person would say "Yolo" anymore. But please note that this is my opinion and not everybody's!!!!! Everybody has a different taste and a different opinion!!!!So no offence to anyone!

Five stars for Luz which is not blessed with good restaurants. Five stars for the staff - and I think owners or maybe they are managers who make you feel welcome. Five stars for the concept which is smaller portions served as separate dishes all of which we tried were excellent - and we went about five times over my three weeks in Luz. So five stars for the food itself. Try and sit out on the sofas for a cosy type of meal. The value for money was good. And I just realised that I have reviewed Boaty's. YOLO has the same owner & much of this applies. YOLO is a standard style restaurant. Team not as tight as Boaty's. Still a place to go when in Luz.

Ein sehr gutes Restaurant in Luz. Wir hatten drei verschiedene Vorspeisen, drei verschiedene Hauptgerichte und zwei Desserts. Alles war von guter bis überdurchschnittlicher Qualität. Für Kinder wegen des Menu-Systems m.E. eher weniger geeignet. Insgesamt auch aufgrund des schönen Ambientes und der freundlichen Bedienung aber sehr zu empfehlen.

Cibo di alta qualità... ma col prezzo fisso in 3 persone spendere 75 euro, mi pare un po’ alto. È proprio una cifra per “famiglie inglesi”...ormai di casa in questa zona da centinaia di anni. I paragoni sono stati effettuati con ristoranti locali che al max hanno fatto spendere 55 euro. Quindi sappiate che si mangia bene....ma si deve pagare oltre che prenotare il giorno prima

Quirky restaurant but excellent tasty food with a small menu that covers most of what a small restaurant would provide

Lecker Essen aber die Portionen sind recht mager.

Super nette Bedienung und wirklich leckeres Essen.

Wir meinten schon das wir alle Lokale in Luz kennen und hatten schon ein Ranking festgelegt. Dann hielten wir doch mal an dem Yolo an. Es liegt ca. 100m vom Stand entfernt am Berg. Und dann kam die Überraschung. Hammer Essen. Nette Bedienung. Super sauber. Perfekte Qualität der Speisen. Super abgeschmeckt. Also Leute... Yolo landet auf Platz 1 in Liz. Noch vor Aquarius mit Michelin Auszeichnungen. Probiert es selbst aus. Auf Platz 3 landet das A Concha nur knapp vor Paolos. Den Rest benennen wir hier nicht. Da wird man nur satt...sonst nichts. Guten Appetit und einen schönen Urlaub.

Me and my girlfriend went there while on our honeymoon. The food was some of the best I’ve tasted also the service was excellent. Staff were very friendly and happy to help with anything. I’d definitely recommend going if you’re in the area

On holiday from England. Made a reservation for 5 people which was read back, confirmed along with seating arrangements. Arrived, booking not made??? Left and said I would return as someone else had taken our booking, and they would not move them. Came back next day and spoke with English manager/owner???. He stated he was going to offer us a free meal, but as I had written on TripAdvisor about my experience, he was now not going to do this. No surprise hear, a very unprofessional, unapproachable individual who took great pride in his so called power of thinking he had punished me in some way for making a complaint. I think this place needs to look at its self and staff. The outcome of my return says it all. I would certainly never recommend or go to this place if I was in the area again. The reply no doubt will be interesting, but there is no excuse or hiding from the staff inefficiencies or how customers are treated.

I have a theory that the best positioned restaurants usually equate to mediocre food and service; they grow lazy knowing that the high footfall rate will always equate to strong visitor numbers. On the other hand restaurants that are not quite in the ideal location need to drive visitors to their restaurant through the reputation of high quality food and service. YOLO is a classic example of this rule, though not ideally located on the water front they really go that extra mile to make sure their restaurant sticks out. The starters and main courses were all incredible; they just need some work on their deserts which sadly are substandard. All in all this is a great restaurant, one of the few worth visiting in the town.

Die Speisen sind sehr gut - richtig lecker. Der Preis ist aber auch gewaltig. Leider kann man nur ein 2 oder 3 Gänge Menü essen - eine einzelne Nachspeise oder Vorspeise gibt es nicht. Für alle, die sowieso 25 - 30 Euro pro Person ausgeben wollen bzw. können, kann man das Restaurant empfehlen.

This was an absolute little gem of a find. The food was outstanding and very reasonably priced. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed and the staff were really friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be returning. Hats off to the chef.

Prima gegeten samen met mijn vrouw echt top nette prijs ook prima bediening. Alleen erg jammer dat de Engelsen zo overdreven hard aanwezig zijn dat ontspannen met elkaar rustig praten niet mogelijk is dit zou mij weerhouden om daar een volgende keer te gaan eten .

Ristorante nel centro di Luz e localizzato ottimamente per chi va o torna dalla spiaggia. Menu a prezzo fisso (prezzo presabilito per una quantità a scelta di cibo prestabilito). Prezzi in comparazione con la qualità, Il cibo è molto buono,ma ha il suo prezzo. Porzioni non proprio grandi ma che se non si ha proprio una fame da lupi saziano. Personale gentile e veloce.

wir waren mit 8 personen hier, ALLE waren mehr als begeistert!!! bedienung, preis und natürlich das essen war sehr gut!!! wir kommen wieder! auch beim zweiten besuch alles bestens!!!

Einfach nur gut. Speisen, Ambiente oder Service, alles perfekt. 8 Personen von 8 waren begeistert. Auch nach dem zweiten mal waren alle hellauf begeistert. Sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet.

Simply the best experience for a long time. Had fish cakes and seabass and it was fantastic. Wife had steak and children had two different kinds of chicken. Exceptional well prepared food and an extraordinary fine service. We'll be back!

Onwijs vriendelijk personeel. De spare ribs en de tonijn steak waren erg goed. Je zit erg leuk op een onverwachts plekje in een onwijs leuk restaurant. Zeker de chocoladetaart proberen als dessert!

Wir waren eine Woche an der West-Algarve und haben mehrere sehr gut bewertete Restaurants in Luz, Salema und Lagos besucht. Aber NIRGENDS war das Essen so köstlich wie im Yolo in Luz. Schade, dass wir dort erst am letzten Abend waren. Wir hätten sonst die Speisekarte rauf und runter probiert. Service und Preise für das hochwertige Essen sind ebenfalls spitze.

Had a fantastic meal at YOLO in Luz, great wine, even better food, and the staff are fantastic. The fishcake starter and pork main was amazing!! We will definitely eat here again.. will try not to drop my wine glass next time.

We walked up and down the beach looking for somewhere for a group of 8 people to eat ad hoc. No one could fit us in, then we came across YOLO. Sat us straight down, moved tables for us. Great food and great service. Cannot fault. Nice interior and chilled atmosphere.
