This hotel is a hidden gem - it’s small and service is the key - all staff are friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. It’s kept immaculately clean. There are plenty of sun loungers and so good to see that guests didn’t do the usual and reserve beds! I had a birthday during our stay and was wished happy birthday at breakfast time! Later in the afternoon, we returned to our room to find, a card, cake with candle and a bottle of bubbles - a lovely touch, which was much appreciated. We look forward to returning again soon.

Ein kleineres ruhiges, sehr sauberes exklusives Hotel. Nicht zu verwechseln mit dem Schwester-Hotel schräg gegenüber, welches auf Massentourismus ausgelegt ist. Das Personal war durchgehend sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sehr gute Lage - nur ca. 3 Gehminuten bis zum Strand.

We had a wonderful experience at the Vila Galé Praia! The property was quiet and a block from a gorgeous beach. Everything was spotless and we felt that staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast included a good assortment of items and the invitation to sample their wines was lovely. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Small and quiet hotel 3 minutes away from the beach. Great outdoor pool and spa including a large Jacuzzi. Good food and service. Large rooms with a great view. Very good choice for people with mobility problems since everything is near and no stairs. No children allowed under 16 that is one of the reasons for the very quiet and peaceful environment.

Just enjoyed a great 2 weeks at this hotel - our third stay in 3 years. Location & facilities are excellent. Pool area and grounds are well maintained & always sufficient loungers/umbrellas available. All staff are polite & efficient & Sandra, reception manager, is brilliant & a real embassador for the Vila Gale company.

My Partner and I have just come back from this amazing hotel. We spent a blissful week lounging by the gorgeous pool (where sun beds were always available) and nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were all so helpful, friendly and polite. We celebrated my partners Birthday while we were there and they made it very special for both of us.The cleanliness of the hotel is sublime, and it also has great facilities. We booked just bed and breakfast which had a great variety of fresh delicious food every morning, but you can also eat in the evenings in the hotel where they have a good menu to choose from. The pizzeria next door to the hotel is very popular and serves great food also. The beach is only 2 minutes away and the hotel offered different exercusions if you wanted to venture out further. All I can say is that we found a little gem in this hotel and we will definitely be back. Thank you again to all the staff who made our stay so memorable.

At first glance the hotel looks no more than one of a row of retail single story outlets. On entry, however, you descend and find that the site is hollowed out, but is sufficient to include a large pool, poolside and two tennis courts. It is quite a sun-trap. The staff are pleasant but the speed of service is nothing more than you would find anywhere in Portugal. This was our second visit and both were refreshingly brat-free.

Ottimo hotel, situato in una zona tranquillissima a pochi passi dal mare e a 6 chilometri da Albufeira. Elegante e raffinato dispone di camere luminose e ampie, personale gentilissimo, piscina e Spa. La colazione non è a buffet, ma viene servita in base a un menù ricco e vario. La pulizia è accurata e vi sono ampi spazi in comune tra cui una zona ludica e una biblioteca. Viene fornito anche un servizio bar e ristorante.

I was treated rudely and abruptly by one member of staff in the restaurant after I made a simple query about cutlery. He ignored me and was aloof with me that day and the following day. I bumped into the manager and I told him about it and then I found out that he no longer works at the hotel as appartently I was not the only one who found him to be rude. I have been to this hotel before so the lovely staff are Juao, Ricardo, Sara and Catarina. Relaxing tranquil hotel if you are after that type of a break.

Très belle hôtel tout confort (piscine, spa, fitness, bar, restaurant, produits de douche, serviettes, coffre fort, TV, climatisation). Personnel super sympa et bilingue. Nous y avons profiter de la piscine (un décor magnifique et chaises longues à disposition), du spa (sauna, bain turc, jacouzzi, douches. Serviettes à disposition) ainsi que du bar (très bon cocktails). Le petit déjeuner est complet y'a l'embarras du choix et de bon goût. Les points négatifs l'insonorisation (on entend les gens dans le couloir et le couloir nous entend...) et pour certains peut être le matelas du lit trop dur. La vitre qui sert de rideau de douche est trop courte cela éclabousse beaucoup le sol mais les femmes de ménage font bien leur job. La plage est à 2 min à pied, très belle plage de sable (surveillé) ambiance familiale, il y a des endroit pour les parasols, des chaises longues à louer, des activités aquatiques telles que jet ski ou kayak et Padel .. 3 bar/restaurant sont disponibles. il y a beaucoup de restaurant à moins de 15 min à pied, si on dispose d'un véhicule Albufeira est à 15min ainsi que les centres commerciaux. Les prix des restaurants dans les environs tournent aux alentour de 35€ pour un repas pour deux avec boissons et entrées. Un conseil Algarve Shopping est un grand centre commercial qui dispose de beaucoup de restaurant à des prix très bas on peut y manger local et fast food, il se trouve a 15min de l'hôtel en voiture. Nous y avons passer une semaine magnifique et y reviendrons sans hésiter.

Really nice hotel close to the beach. Complex has excellent swimming pool area and the best rooms have views looking over this area.Unfortunately the hotel seems to have become a mecca for the smoking set as most of the guests were smokers. This made it rather difficult sitting out on our deck at night, as all our neighbours up, down and sideways were smoking on their decks.To be fair, there’s a lot of smokers in Spain & Portugal.

Food terrible. Hardly any choice if you are half board. Two choices for starter and main course. Vegetarians beware no vegetarian choice. Breakfast not great, bacon, eggs lukewarm. Not even fresh orange juice, concentrate.

Very clean, staff friendly, relaxing. Close to beach. Be aware there isn’t any area in the town for bars or restaurants or much to wander around / look at in the evening - hotel also doesn’t have any evening atmosphere. it is more of a quiet local residential neighbourhood. The hotel kindly recommended some really good restaurants though which were only short uber rides away.

My boyfriend and I have just stayed here for a week and have been nothing but impressed the whole time. This hotel is one of the best we’ve stayed in. It’s incredibly clean and tidy. The facilities are incredible - the gym, sauna and jacuzzi were a few of our favourites. The complimentary breakfast is amazing, great selection of food with staff bringing fresh coffee to you, and they even have an omelette station. The thing that stands out the most in this hotel is the staff. They’re really attentive and ensure that your stay here is as good as possible. Would highly recommend staying here if you’re in or close to Albufeira!

Lovely quiet adults only hotel. Only stayed 2 days but found it fabulous. Staff friendly, helpful and attentive. Would recommend if you want a relaxed chilled break. Bonus is its close to a great beach too although I am a poolside person it is good to know its a very short walk to the sea. Rooms had tea making facilities and small fridge....excellent for a tea person like myself. All in all could not fault this little piece of paradise!

Bom atendimento da recepção. Acomodações dos quartos excelentes. Linda piscina, quadra de tênis, hidro massagem gigante pra 12 pessoas, sauna seca e úmida. Restaurante muito bom, com boa comida. Estacionamento fácil na porta do hotel. Único ponto fraco é o café da manhã, com poucas frutas, pães de baixa qualidade, atendimento fraco.

Tem uma vista sobre o mar e praia magníficas. A piscina é espetacular. A recepção é moderna. Podemos ir a pé até à praia, pois fica a 150 metros. Tem restaurantes bem perto, também dá para ir a pé. O staff do hotel é simpático e atencioso.

Everything great, including location, service, cleanliness, food and accommodation, on top of this the staff are exceptional in every way. Have been here many times over many years and have never been disappointed in any way. The addition of the pizzeria in addition to the restaurant opens up more opportunities for good food.

We found the hotel and its staff very calming and enjoyed the peace of our stay. The breakfast choices were good. The hotel was a short walk to a small, secuded, beach area where there was a very nice sea view restaurant to the right. The room was large enough for two and the bed generously sized and very comfortable.It is located about a ten minute drive to Albufeira centre but, to be honest, we only went there once much preferring the Gale-based restaurants.

Gente simpática que nos acolhe na paz do Algarve num hotel onde não temos de aturar as crianças dos outros. Só para adultos. Bom pequeno almoço e o restaurante tem pratos interessante. A praia a 5 minutos a pé. A piscina é boa e é mesmo um local para descanso. Ninguém chateia ninguém. Os quartos que sempre foram perfeitos, nos que estivemos da última vez tinha qualquer problema de ruído, creio que da tubagem do ar condicionado fora do mesmo.

Sendo detentor e utilizador de DRHP há muitos anos nesta unidade, verifiquei alguns esquecimentos inadmissíveis na preparação do alojamento para uma unidade desta categoria e com tanta publicidade. Cortinados por pendurar, frigorífico desligado... da parede, exaustão geral desligada na ala poente só activada depois de 2 dias de insistência na recepção. O bom disto tudo é que só pode melhorar e continua a ter um staff sempre atencioso e simpático... A vista e a localização são de sonho.

Das Hotel, das Essen und die ganze Infrastruktur war einfach super toll. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Essen war fantastisch. Es gab jeden Abend ein 4-Gang Menue oder man konnte à la carte bestellen. Auch das Frühstück war reichhaltig und bot für jeden Geschmack etwas. Die Zimmer sind gross und sehr sauber. Das Hotel ist nicht für Familien mit Kindern geeignet, sondern ehe für ruhige Hotelgäste. Das Wasser im Pool war so sauber, wie wir es noch nie in einem anderen Land erlebt haben. Toller Spa und es gibt auch einen Billiardtisch und eine Bibliothek. Das Hotel liegt in einer ruhigen Nachbarschaft, also nichts für Partygänger oder Leute, die am Abend Aktion suchen. Der Strand ist in unmittelbarer Nähe, keine 100 Meter empfernt. Ein sehr sauberer Strand. Man Liegen und Sonnenschirme mieten (2 Liegen plus Sonnenschirm 15 Euro pro Tag). Verpflegungsmöglichkeiten vorhanden, auch Toiletten und eine Dusche gibt es vor Ort.

Great experience at this hotel - location is excellent for the beach, facilities are good and not too busy in September. Rooms are comfortable - recommend the pool view rooms. Breakfast is a good spread, would recommend eating dinner at the beach over the hotel restaurant though

I stayed here for a week at the beginning of September. The hotel is excellent with helpful and friendly staff. The fact that it is an adult only hotel makes a notable difference, especially around the pool area where you can lie back and relax on the peaceful atmosphere. A short stroke from the beach makes this an ideal location. I would highly recommend this hotel and will happily return in the future.

Charmant accueil avec un personnel qui fait un bel effort (pour ceux qui le peuvent) à parler en français. Lit king size, le top avec une literie ferme. Petit déjeuner extra. Spa, hammam et sauna plus une magnifique piscine. Plage magnifique a deux pas. Le seul bémol vient des personnes séjournant dans l'hôtel. Ils n'ont aucun respect et sont égoïstes au possible. Je réserve tôt le matin mon bain de soleil et même si je suis presque pas la dernière la journée, tant pis pour les autres. Sinon, je recommande vivement cet établissement qui nous a enchanté.

The Staff was very friendly and courteous. The rooms are large and the hotel is located next to the beach. The hotel environment is silent but Albufeira isnt far away. So I just can recommend that hotel.

We had an excellent short break. There is not one negative comment I could make.The hotel was peaceful, all the staff could not do enough for you. The pool was really lovely There were several beach restaurants within walking distance all the of them were excellent.

Super Hotel! Tolle Lage, sehr strandnah! Im Hotel sind alle Mitarbeiter bemüht die Wuensche der Urlauber zu erfüllen. In englisch klappt das wunderbar, es sprechen aber auch einige Servicemitarbeiter deutsch. Die Zimmer sind ausreichend groß, ebenso das Badezimmer, nett eingerichtet. Ein Tipp an das Servicepersonal beim Frühstück und Abendessen: Bitte organisiert euch besser! Es kommt echt nicht gut, wenn ausreichend Personal vorhanden ist, aber der Urlauber morgens ewig auf den Kaffee wartet oder abends auf ein Glas Wein. Auch Auszubildenden kann man mehr zutrauen Sie waren super freundlich und engagiert, nur hatte man den Eindruck, sie durften nicht. Dies sollte überdacht werden. Wir wuerden nochmal dieses Hotel wählen und werden es auch weiter empfehlen!

A lovely hotel with a great pool (and no kids!!)! The restaurant was excellent as well - recommend eating there. Only 4 stars due to the bed being a little uncomfortable and some of the design a bit strange, but overall it's a great place to stay!

War für 4 Tage Gast in diesem wirklich hervorragenden Hotel. Alles hat perfekt gepasst. Schönes großes Zimmer, sehr gute Betten, wirklich funktionierende Klimaanlage mit individueller Einstellmöglichkeit, reichhaltiges gutes Frühstück, engagiertes freundliches aufmerksames und nettes Personal. Kurze Distanz (300-400 m) zum Strand von Galé. Gerne wieder.

Das gesamte Personal ist sehr freundlich und stets hilfsbereit: die Leute von der Rezeption und der deutsch sprechende Oberkellner sind sehr hervorzuheben. Die Zimmer sind immer sauber und ordentlich, nur leider waren sie teilweise erst um 16:30 Uhr noch nicht fertig gerichtet. Nervig, aber eigentlich nett gemeint ist, dass eine Dame extra anklopft und das Betthupferl vorbeibringt.

This was a last minute booking as I needed somewhere to relax and de-stress. I was not disappointed. I was only there for a a few days but the location was great and the staff were so wonderful. They remember the little details like how you have your breakfast every morning - in my case after my tea I need a coffee. There wasnt anything I could fault. I didnt venture into the old or new town cause I just needed somewhere to recharge. There is a spa on site and the treatments were great - there was a discount while I was there. With the beach only 2 minutes away I was able to go there every day and take nice long walks. I was travelling alone but at no point was I concerned about my safety.

Wir haben nur Gutes über das Hotel zu berichten. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, alles super sauber und das Frühstücksbuffet zwar nicht riesig aber sehr gut. Es gibt ein kleines Fitnessstudio und einen netten Welnessbereich mit 2 Saunen und großem Whirlpool. Der öffentliche Strand ist ein Traum.Während wir dort waren war das Hotel leider fast leer, deshalb ist es schwer zu sagen, wie es in der Hauptreisezeit aussieht. Allerdings liegt das Hotel etwas abseits. Essensmöglichkeiten oder Bars sind sehr begrenzt, allerdings gibt es 5 Minuten vom Hotel entfernt einen sehr großen Supermarkt.

Hotel encantador y muy tranquilo, solo para adultos. Salvo algunos pequeños ruidos en la habitación... Estuvimos en este hotel 10 días de Junio-Julio de 2011, y en principio lo elegimos por que son sólo 40 habitaciones y es solo para adultos (no niños) El hotel está ubicado en una urbanización alejada de Albufeira (10 Kms más o menos), y más o menos lo mismo de Armaçao de Pera. Por lo que si buscas juerga y diversión nocturna, este no es tu hotel... Lo bueno que tiene estar tan alejado es que la zona es muy tranquila. Hay una playa grande muy cerca (a menos de 100 metros) y varias calas pequeñas de arena y algunas rocas, increíblemente bonitas. Hay 3 chiringuitos cerca para comer/cenar pescado fresco muy bueno y razonablemente barato,. Pero el servicio del hotel para comer un plato tipo hamburguesa o sandwich o incluso filete, etc. está muy bien y no es caro. El hotel dispone de una magnífica y gran piscina, y al no ser muy grande el hotel, siempre hay poca gente, con hamacas y sombrillas para todos. Pasamos mucho tiempo al sol en la piscina, desconectados del mundo, y pasamos muy buenos momentos allí. Las habitaciones están bien, moqueta en el suelo, un baño grande, un armario grande, caja fuerte, etc. no hay minibar, si quieres algo lo pides al servicio a precios razonables (ojo que los cubatas o combinados llevan 'poco' alcohol comparado con España). La cama que nos toco era doble (twin) pero era cómoda, y todas las habitaciones con Balcón: las de delante daban a la piscina (más caras) y las de atrás a una zona de chalets dónde no hay mucho lío (salvo lo que explicaré más abajo). La TV, aunque era LCD era antigua y no se veía muy bien, y no tenía conexión para el portátil ni HDMI. En resumen, habitación funcional y limpia. El desayuno estupendo, mucha variedad y todo muy bueno. Te hacían huevos o tortilla, te tostaban ellos el pan, mucho embutido, revueltos, quesos, fruta, yogures, dulces, bollos, panes varios, champiñones, bacon, cereales, champán!! El servicio EXQUISITO en toda su extensión, todo el mundo increiblemente amable y servicial! Un 10! Probamos un día el Spa + Gimnasio que están bastante bien. El único inconveniente es que cuando llegamos nos dieron una habitación del piso 2 (planta principal) que daba a la parte de atrás, dónde creo que estaban todos los equipos de aire acondicionado de la cocina y recepción, y se oía bastante ruido (zumbido). Pedimos un cambio, si era posible, y nos dieron opción a una habitación en la misma zona pero en el piso 3, un poco más arriba, y al principio, tras inspeccionarla, parecía que no había ruido y nos cambiamos. Pero durante toda la noche se oía también mucho los motores del aire acondicionado de la cocina, de recepción, los de las habitaciones que estarán en el tejado e incluso a las personas de cocina que sobre las 23:30-24:00 que salían por ahí detrás (esto no es culpa de los trabajadores en ningún caso). Por lo que al final tuve que utilizar tapones para dormir y no fué muy cómodo. Me fastidió bastante por no poder disfrutar al 100% de tan maravilloso hotel y del merecido descanso. Creo que el Hotel podría insonorizar mejor las habitaciones, sobre todo las de encima de cocina y recepción u ocultar los motores en algún sitio insonorizado. En resumen: hotel encantador, servicio estupendo, vacaciones muy tranquilas, más que recomendable si buscas desconectar al 100%, pero elige si puedes una habitación de las más alejadas de cocina y recepción, y si da a la piscina, estupendo por que por la noche puede que no se ogia nada... PD: La zona, el Algarve, super bonita! Mejor ve en coche o alquila uno y visita desde Sagres a Faro. Gastronomía muy rica, sobre todo en pescado fresco! Gracias mil al personal del Hotel si lee esto, nos tratasteis estupendamente.

Muy bonito y tal pero explotan a los trabajadores

War ganz okay und das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit und nett (einige sprechen auch richtig gut deutsch, Englisch ist sowiso kein Problem). Spa besteht nur aus 2 Sauna und einem kleinen Indoor-Pool. Zimmersauberkeit war anfangs gut aber am 3.Tag wurden nichteinmal mehr die Müllkübel geleert und die ganze Bettdecke gerichtet.Alles in allem aber entfehlenswert :)

Fantastic stay at this hotel. The staff are excellent & we have been treated like royalty. This is a quiet area. Always sun loungers free at the pool. Adequate gym. Lots of choice at buffet breakfast. We ate in the restaurant for lunch and dinner, food was good. Would love to see more salad options for lunch. Beach is right on the doorstep 100m. Would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for some rest & relaxation. If you do want some lively bars a taxi to Albuferia is approx €12. Can't wait to come back here.

Super Hotel, aber Betten (Matratzen) zu hart; sehr freundliches Personal; gutes Essen; ruhiges Hotel (keine Kinder); feiner Pool, WLAN im Zimmer schlechter Empfang

Perfetto per il mare, visto che si trova a 100 metri dalla spiaggia. Inoltre viene fornito ogni giorno un telo da mare pulito. Servizio eccellente, con personale gentile e disponibile. Camera molto confortevole, pulita. Bella in particolare la camera con vista piscina. Colazione a buffet ottima. Per ogni pietanza c'è anche un cartellino che indica il contenuto calorico ed i grassi. Unica pecca il parcheggio: mancano posti all'interno della struttura. All'esterno i posti riservati sono pochi, e non controllati. Perciò vengono presi d'assalto dalla folla di gente (non clienti dell'hotel) che va in spiaggia.

Petit hotel de 20 chambres, situe dans une partie residenielle de Gale, a 150 m de la plage. Decoration moder et des prestations tres qualitatives. Excellent petit dejeuner

Aufenthalt war als Erholung gedacht und wurde von unszusätzlich noch durch einen Ausflug nach Lissabon zu einem schönen Erlebnis.

Sehr gepflegtes Hotel mit kleiner Sauna und Dampfbad sowie großem Jaccuzzi (Whirlpool). Evtl. ist die Sauna als out of order gekennzeichnet. Die Frage nach einer schriftlichen Bestätigung sorgte dafür, dass die Sauna innerhalb kürzester Zeit wieder funktionstüchtig war (Stromsparen ist okay, aber dann sollte einfach die Sauna-Zeit reduziert werden...);Tolles Frühstücksbuffet: Speck, Spiegelei, Rührei, Würstchen, Käse, Aufschnitt, Marmeladen, Obstsalat, Sekt, Kaffee, Tee, (Schoko)Croissants, Mohn- & normale Semmeln (Brötchen), verschiedene Müslis & Joghurts - sorgte für einen guten Start in den Tag; auch die Abendkarte des Restaurants (keine Halbpension möglich) fanden wir ausgesprochen gut (qualitativ und quantitativ) - gute Weinkarte.

Good small hotel, very friendly staff. But: rooms are quite poorly soundproofed, we heard the ac of the room above us or whatever it was more or less all night long (vibrating continous sound). Minutes ago, we met a visitor in the bath - a cockroach. Not really what I expect from a four stars hotel...

We had a fantastic time at Hotel Vila Gale Praia. The hotel is beside a beautiful beach, but also has a lovely relaxing pool if you prefer. Morning breakfast is a delicious buffet of a variety of food- high standard. We also had a very nice dinner there one evening. For variety, other evenings we chose to eat either in one of the local restaurants or took a taxi into Albufiera; roughly 10 euros. Generally the area is quite residential, but there is a large supermarket close by and a scatter of restaurants around. The rooms were clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I also benefited from a massage. There is a small gym there as well that we didnt use. Some reports had advised taking a room overlooking the pool for the views. We preferred to be at the back of the hotel where the balcony was cooler in the summer sun. We will recommend it to our friends.
