The Prestana was a beautiful hotel in an amazing setting. It has two pools, one indoor pool for rainy days and kids, and a larger outdoor pool which was kept very clean with plenty of lounge chairs. The food was excellent , at breakfast your omelette was made to order by an friendly chef. Our room are well equipped with WiFi, air conditioning, and kept very clean. We had a beautiful view towards the Atlantic Ocean. The hotel stands on a cliff above the beach with its own stretch of sand and an elevator to take you down directly to the beach. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Ótimo hotel, recomendo! Quartos limpos, bem arejados e com espaço razoável. O hotel fica numa zona privilegiada com uma praia maravilhosa e uma linda vista. A piscina de água salgada é uma delícia além de enorme. Café da manhã que vai até as 11! Isso não tem preço, e com ótima variedade. Destaque para os funcionários do hotel, principalmente pra o pessoal dos restaurantes e bar da piscina. Todos muito simpáticos.

Staff simpatiquissimo, todos sem excepção.
Instalações e decoração muito bonitas, sobretudo bar da tarde/nocturno, restaurantes, piscina e jardins.
Música ambiente e ao vivo presente ao pequeno almoço e bar, muito agradável.
Buffet muito bom em variedade e qualidade.
Menos positivo: só um bar aberto no período de almoço, com um menu de valores muito elevados. Sem outras possibilidades de escolha dentro do hotel para este período.
Piscina interior aquecida mas pouco quente. Ginásio sem espaldar e com poucos colchões, essencial para alongamentos.
E num hotel de 5* seria simpático, correcto e não demais ter direito a uma garrafa de água diária no quarto, o q não acontece.

Stunning sea view from our balcony and the location is superb if you love swimming in the sea - direct access by lift or steps. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Alvor is a 20 mins walk along a lovely boardwalk dotted with small cafes & restaurants. Look forward to coming back next year.

Riesen Entäuschung ! Abendessen minderwertig, Lammbraten fast nur Knochen. Show Cooking ist fertiger Braten der nur aufgeschnitten wird. Nur Fisch und Huhn waren besser, ebenso das Frühstück. Zimme service ungenügend. Bei Freunden "versiffte" Bettdecke abgesplitterte Bretter am Balkon. Meerblickzimmer fast ebenerdig. Echter Meerblick nur gegen Aufpreis vor Ort. Checkin dauerte über 35 min. Einzig gutes - die Lage. Preis war allerdings 5 Sterne!!!! Wir waren eine Gruppe von 10 Personen alle mit der gleichen Meinug über diese Aufenthalt.
Nachtrag: Die pauschale nichtssagende Antwort des Hotels auf meine Bewertung bestätigt nur die Erfahrungen die wir gemacht haben. Nur 5 Sterne "Schein"

Staff atencioso. Hotel com boas valências. Férias tranquilas. Um senão: ar condicionado em modo inverno a 1 de maio com temperaturas de 24 graus e sem possibilidade de alteração. Porém, os cuidados do Sr Pierre resolveram a situação com mudança para quarto com ar condicionado individual.
Um bem haja ao staff.

Very comfortable hotel with excellent sea views and a very nice property. Service from check-in to restaurant staff was outstanding. Upscale experience. We had both the dinner and breakfast buffets. The breakfast was the stronger if the two although the dinner was still quite good.

This is not the five star hotel for me!! Hardly Four stars. Wellness is really bad, old and dirty. Sauna is too cold, water in inner pool is in bad condition and mold is everywhere around the pool. Dissapointment!!
Also the dinner dissapointed us.
Only the beach can have 5* - it's beautiful!!!

Vacances en famille avec une enfant de 8 ans.
Piscine extérieure, piscine intérieure.
Les chambres sont sympa et le cadre sans faille.
Bon service de la part des hôteliers et le restaurant de l’hôtel est à la hauteur du reste de l’hôtel.
Prix abordable pour une semaine (1500€ en avril)

The hotel is perfectly located on the beach. It is just 15 minutes walk along the boardwalk to the town centre. I would definitely recommend paying a little extra for a room with a fabulous sea view.
The hotel employees are friendly and helpful.
There is a great selection of hot and cold food items available at the breakfast buffet, including a section of choices for those with dietary restrictions.
Unfortunately I found the huge square pillows uncomfortable and impractical. Perhaps substituting one for a regular pillow would be a better option.
I had a couple of issues with the room, problems with the air conditioning and an invasion of ants.
Overall I would happily recommend the hotel and look forward to my next visit.

Well situated hotel on the beach near Alvor. I personally think it doesn't deserve the 5 star rating. Food was beautifully prepared but the hot food was usually only luke warm. Not good enough in my opinion. Rooms are comfortable and well appointed but pillows are enormous, lumpy and uncomfortable although they will provide a small pillow on request.
The indoor pool is heated to a very comfortable temperature but the edges of the pool could be cleaner - green algae around inside edge. The changing rooms are a bit remote.
I felt that the reception staff were helpful when asked about something but it was a bit like getting blood out of a stone. Restaurant staff didn't seem happy in their work and were not very friendly.
We have stayed in several of the Portuguese Porto Bay hotels and find the service is much better there. Maybe they treat their staff better??

O hotel tem acesso direto à praia e uma vista lindaaa!!! Isso é maravilhoso. Por exemplo, o café da manhã a olhar pro Mar com um pianista a tocar é o ponto alto. O buffet era farto, mas podia ter pastelaria tradicional portuguesa... é mais internacional mesmo, o que não é ruim, pelo contrário, agrada a todos.
O quarto era pequeno para toda a família, ficamos apertados com uma cama e um berço extra.

Passei um fim de semana com a minha namorada. O hotel ultrapassou as nossas expectativas, desde o início com toda a equipa da receção, em que fomos muitissimo bem recebidos, ofereceram--nos uma bebida de boas vindas, e o check-in foi rápido e eficaz sempre com muita simpatia. Sempre que tínhamos alguma dúvida toda a equipa da rececao estava sempre disposta a ajudar e a conseguir retirar essas dividas.
Sem dúvida a imagem do hotel em si.
O quarto era ótimo, e todas as outras secções eram também satisfatórias. Boa comida, e bom atendimento no restaurante, sempre todos muito educados.
Um fim de semana 5 estrelas, hotel muito acolhedor e excelente staff.
Recomendo sem dúvida o Pestana Alvor Praia!

Die Lage ist direkt am Strand. In der näheren Umgebung gibt es mehrere Restaurants, mit 40 min Fußweg gibt es unzählige Lokale. Leckeres Frühstücksbuffet, freundliche, hilfsbereite Angestellte. +++

The breakfast was not a 5 star hotel worthy - limited options - however maybe because we where there off-season...A nice touch was the cleaning ladies valentines greeting.I still dont understand why music is relevant at the breakfast!? It was live via a pianoplayer who played quite loud.

DOY UNA ESTRELLA PORQUE NO.ME PERMITEN PONER CERO
Nuestra estancia a sido horrible
Para empezar pagamos por una cama grande y nos pusieron dos camas individuales.
La calefaccion de la habitacion no funcionaba.
La piscina climatizada por la cual nos hospedamos especialmente en este hotel no pudimos utilizarla puesto que estaba helada ,fuimos a pedir solucion y nos dijeron que esperaramos un poco que lo solucionarian,cosa que no paso ,esperamos toda la mañana para nada porque seguia fria.
Al dia siguiente volvimos a bajar a comprobar que ya estaba solucionado el.problema y nada...la piscina seguia helada.
Pero lo peor de todo fue el desayunoLos camareros nos trataron con discriminacion..uno en especial el mayor
Nos hizo pasar verguenza frente a.todas las personas del salon con su trato hacia nosotros y nos fuimos con hambre porque no.podiamos pedir loque queriamos agusto porque nos ponia mala cara y se acercaba a nuestra mesa con desprecio,cosa que que nos hizo levantarnos e irnos .
La verdad que estamos bastante decepcionados con nuestra estancia en este hotel

The hotel is lovely, very close to the beach with a lift or stair access. The views are gorgeous. Spa facilities are good, steam room not the best, wasnt working one day. Staff very helpful - kitchen staff not the best. I have a nut allergy and asked for help with which dishes contained nuts. Was told I could eat everything, though it was obvious there were nuts in at least 4 of the dishes. Quite worrying. Would go back but would not use the restaurant. Magic Spa have some good treatments and also give you 20% off with the voucher you are given at check in. Wi-Fi has good signal. Crazy golf isnt the best, metal course and very bouncy balls, we were chasing balls all over, lost a couple over the cliff edge and gave up, haha!! Restaurant at the beach just outside the hotel is nice, and ideal to watch the sunset. We preferred to walk the boardwalk into Alvor and eat in the restaurants there. Lots of fish dishes to choose from.

Hotel junto a local privilegiado, mesmo junto ao mar. Tem um acesso fácil, por Portimão rumo ao Alvor. As instalações ostentam um design pouco moderno, mas com limpeza irrepreensível não existindo nada a apontar. O Hotel possui Wifi, piscina de grandes dimensões, Spa de elevada qualidade, restuarante e bar bem como espaço destinado ás crianças. Uma das mais valias é o facto de possuir acesso direto à Praia dos Três Irmãos. O pequeno almoço é razoável com tudo o que é necessário.

Es ist keine 5 Sterne wert. Sehr alt und abgenutzt. Schwimmbadbereich wird nicht gereinigt. Außenpool wird nicht geheizt. Hotel ist bei Rentner populär.

Dieses Hotel gibt es schon lange .Es ist in die Jahre gekommen und leider trotz angeblicher Sanierung und Neugestaltung ist es ein altes Haus geblieben . Das Schönste ist die Lage direkt am Meer und die Umgebung .Das Haus selbst geht leider nicht mit der Zeit .Ein Beispiel : Bei einer Belegung von mindestens 80% Engländern kann man kein englisches Fußballspiel sehen . Der Altersdurschnitt liegt mindestens bei 65 + . Zur Ausstattung sei folgendes gesagt: Man hat einige Dinge in den Zimmern und Bädern erneuert aber andere sind uralt und abgenutzt geblieben. Zim Beispiel gibt es neue Amaturen aber die Toilettenbrille ist alt und schäbig geblieben. Dann dieser eklige Kloaken Geruch .Wir haben nach einem Tag das Zimmer getauscht, aber er hat uns gnadenlos verfolgt . Das Frühstücks Büfett sieht reichlich aus , aber es gibt nicht mal laktosefreie Milch , von Soja Produkten ganz zu schweigen. Wir waren schon mindestens dreimal in diesem Hotel ,immer mit Abstand von einigen Jahren , aber jetzt war es bestimmt das letzte mal. Die Umgebung ist traumhaft aber das Hotel hat längst seine beste Zeit gesehen .4 Sterne ist das Höchste was ich geben kann und da drücke ich beide Augen zu .

This hotel was definitely not what we expected. We’re here to celebrate an anniversary and overcoming cancer and wanted to make this trip special. We paid extra for a superior room, expecting a decent view and instead we’re facing the roundabout at the front of hotel lobby area and see a parking lot of cars. We asked to switch rooms and all they did was move us down the hallway to view another row of cars. In addition to the room not being what we expected, the service was also subpar. No one was in front to greet or help with bags. When we called agoda to try to cancel, they stated they couldn’t because they needed to get in touch with the hotel. When we asked the hotel to cancel, they said they couldn’t because it’s up to agoda. We’re in a loop and seriously unhappy with this place and can’t get out of our reservation. It would have been fine if we were expecting (and paid for) a standard room at a 3.5 star hotel, but we just came from Pestana Palace in Lisbon and know what a true 5-star experience is. The booking sites are very misleading. Don’t book this place if you’re expecting luxury. And definitely don’t go through Agoda because they cant help you!

Definitely not 5 stars. Cons-Our room was infested with ants and shower was very old and not what you would expect in 5 star. When we told reception that we wanted to move room because of the ants, no apology was given. We eventually got our move because we were persistent not because the hotel was sorry.
Pros- Breakfast is lovely and is in a lovely setting overlooking the sea.
Location is beautiful and Bar is nice.

Por ser um hotel 5 estrelas eles pecam em coisas simples -
Fiquei no quarto 227
- Frigobar não funciona, se for viajar com bebê cuidado.
- Quarto com carpete, arcaico , sujo e com acaro.
- Recepção , atendimento bem regular
- Sem entrutura na praia , por ser um resort na praia deveria ter estrutura , cadeiras , bar , etc
- jantar no hotel , caro e muito abaixo da expectativa , pagar 25 euros numa massa com molho de tomate ?
- o espaço Kids fechado
Enfim , o que salva é a vista , e a estrutura e localização .

Ne mérite pas 5 étoiles. Chambre très petite. Propreté laisse à désirer. Les chambres ne sont pas faites avant 16h. L'endroit est magnifique. Il existait déjà avant la venue de l'hôtel! Le personnel de la réception donne déjà une mauvaise image. Par contre le reste du personnel est très agréable. L'hôtel est loin de tout. Nous n'y reviendrons pas.

Me and my wife had a fantastic stay at this hotel. We were very pleased with the service and hospitality of the staff. It has been a memorable 5 days and we definitely will come back one day to enjoy the seaside view, the beach and other wonderful facillities this hotel has to offer.

Hotel położony jest nad przepiękną plażą z dużą ilością jaskiń i grót...Majestatyczny widok z restauracji Hotelowej i basenu skąd schodami można dostać się bezpośrednio do plaży. Bardzo miła obsługa a czystość hotelu godna uwagi. Jedyne co przeszkadza to metalowe krzesla restauracyjne które są bardzo niewygodne tak jak te plastkowe w części basenowej...Warzywa serwowane przy śniadaniu to wysuszony ogórek i pomidor bez smaku..Po za tym Hotel ma bardzo ładne i jasne pokoje z dużym i wygodnym łóżkiem..

Mesmo estando num hotel de 5 estrelas pagar 27.5 para uma refeição de um adulto acho excessivo tanto para o que está disponível como o requinte da comida.
Falta de atividades proativas para as crianças jovens
Um programa interessante(jogos na piscina(volleiball, polo aquático ou pura e simplesmente ida há piscina onde os pais podem ficar descansados por terem adultos competentes a cuidar dor filhos) , atividade noturnas jogos com danças, tendo o hotel tanto espaço disponível acho possível separar esta atividades de locais onde estão os adultos que querem estar mais relaxados e a cativação por parte dos monitores de irem falar com os miúdos para os cativar devia ser trabalhado

Good Hotel with a fantastic view from the restaurant and pool over the Alvor beach. Nevertheless, for the rest, I wouldn't rate this hotel with 5 stars. Not all rooms of the hotel have been refurbished. Our room was kind of old fashioned and didn't correspond to the modern rooms we had seen in the catalogues or on the internet. In general the food was good. No major animation in the evening, huge groups of kids and teenagers at the pool in the later aftermoon. The service was good and friendly, the rooms were always very clean.
the hotel is very close to the beach (must pay 13€ for 2 lounges for the day at the beach). Very beautiful caves along the hotel coast that can be visited with a rented Kayak, it's a must see). Hope this helped

The swimming pool is big and clean, and the beach only a couple of minutes walk away.

Cet hôtel ne mérite pas 5 étoiles, peut-être dans la norme du pays. Accueil très succinct, personne ne parle français, aucune présentation de l hôtel.
Chambre mal insonorisée, bruit du couloir.
Même pas une bouteille d eau, mini bar vide, pas de cafetière. Ménage minimun et vite fait.
Le seul point positif de cet hôtel est sa vue. Et encore, si vous avez une chambre avec vue... Mais beaucoup plus chère.
Très bon petit déjeuner buffet.
Le hammam ne fonctionne pas et vu l état de propreté, à déconseiller.
Je n y retournerai pas.

The hotels very nice but the pool is very small and there isn’t much umbrellas or chairs you always have to get up at 7am or earlier to get a bed beside the pool, the lunch takes ages to be surved and the staff never come over to take your order we’re on the 4th floor and the rooms are very tiny for a suite and the pool doesn’t have a heather so it’s freezing cold the gym and indoor pool are really good and is very nice overall I wouldn’t stay here again

Segundo ano que vou para os apartamentos e só tenho a dizer bem, principalmente este ano que nos calhou um t1, com kitchenette onde nada falta, um enorme terraço com uma excelente vista e sempre limpo!
O pequeno almoço vale bem o preço
O staff na maioria excelente principalmente bar, toalhas, kids club e em especial a Michaela e a Mónica sempre prontas a ajudar!

Das Pestana Alvor ist ein relativ großes Hotel mit über 200 Zimmern. Die verteilen sich über mehrere Gebäude. Die Zimmer sind komfortabel und mit Klimaanlage. Garten oder Meerblick. Sehr freundliches, aufmerksames und hilfsbereites Personal. Die Lage direkt am Strand ist genial. Schöne Bucht und flacher Sandstrand sind eine gute Voraussetzung für vergnügtes Schwimmen und schnorcheln. Reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet und abwechslungsreiches Buffet am Abend. Wer möchte geht zu Fuß 20 Minuten in den Ort Alvor und findet dort eine sehr anwechlungsreiche Küche und sehr gemütliche Restaurants. Ales in allem eine echte Empfehlung.

On our first night at 11.30pm we found 2 cockroaches in our 'Deluxe' room. A staff member came and tried to kill one. We were moved to another room not 'Deluxe' which smelt of mould. After complaining the next morning we were moved back to another 'Deluxe' room which after a few days we felt the beds were feeling damp. We were told it was because mattresses had been cleaned. We were not offered a room change.

Despite going in December, weather was warm in the afternoon. All staff couldn't be more accomdating, sea view room was amazing and room service came round everyday. Facilities were great! As this wasn't a busy season, you could actually enjoy the facilities without it being over-crowded.
Thoroughly enjoyed my time here, highly recommended if you're looking for a nice, relaxing and quiet getaway!

I wanted to go 4 stars on it but apart from the amazing location and the surprisingly large suite rooms/views I was left disappointed by the facilities, food and lack of cleaning in the rooms (dusty and previous guest nappy was left in the bin. That left a smell!).
Bad swimming pool (not heated and tiny). Beautiful beach though.

Great Hotel!!
We just left the Hotel yesterday and we had a great stay. The reception team was very welcoming and always helped us on what we needed. The breakfast was also very good and the reception have a good promotion of great value for the dinners. Location and staff are great. The room and view are amazing!! I WILL BE BACK.

It's a great hotel in a perfect location with a nice spa area and friendly personnel. Food was great too! HOWEVER, there is a lot of lost potential when it comes to cleanliness in general. Its definitely not 5 Star worthy.
Only to name a few things: Sauna showers were clogged 7 days straight, we were basically standing in other peoples dirty water when taking a shower. Guests would leave their towels in the sauna and nobody removed them for several days. The fitness room was supposed to have fresh towels and water cups - both were virtually never stocked up. Room service wasn't coming in before 4/5pm which meant when we got back from a day trip we had no fresh towels to take a quick shower (and we didnt even put them out for cleaning every day). I'd love to come back but I'd hope for the Hotel management to focus on such details and have someone take care of the spa area as well as the organization of room service.

From outside the building was very impressive and so were the grounds.The communal areas were tastefully done and spacious except for the dining areas where the tables were very close to each other so you couldn’t converse privately.The games room only had a pool table in it and not much else.There were little steps throughout the building that I am amazed no one has tripped up or down as it’s a dark hotel and you don’t always realise they are there.Our room was grubby and we were on the sixth floor that had a balcony,but when sat in the chairs we could not see the sea etc as the wall was up to eye level.The bedding,towels and bathrobes were old and worn out.The bath was very small and there were cracks in the floor tiles.The staff were very pleasant and helpful,but distant.The music played on the piano at breakfast although beautifully done was very depressing to start the day off.The entertainment was what I would expect in a 3 star hotel.There was no atmosphere here ,quite an odd feeling.The pool area was good,but worn out towels and the umbrellas were stained.We had a lovely big bed,but it had too many layers beneath and the duvet was thick making it hot to sleep in.When the wind was up it howled through the apartment very loudlyThere was nothing to do ,but sit on a beach which you now have to pay to hire the loungers or go into the town.One you have done that it’s boring.We caught the tour bus to Portimao which was like a concrete jungle.

Wir waren 11 Tage hier im Oktober 19. Das Hotel hat eine super Lage, der direkt angeschlossene Strand ist sauber und nicht überfüllt. Das Essen im Hotel wie auch das Personal ist top. Die Rezeption ist 24h besetzt, Englischkenntnisse sind hier Voraussetzung. Der Zimmerservice ist ungenügend. Selten wurde richtig geputzt, Haare der Damen und Putzlappen sind anschließend noch da gelegen, Sand wurde im Zimmer verteilt und der Teppich im Flur nicht gesaugt. Das fanden wir sehr schade.

Fantastic setting looking right over the beach and sea. Just wish they would do more with their food & beverage offering. Lunch menu didn't excite but the pizza I had was tasty. Gros bémol pour nous arrivé a 9h chambre a 15h30 c'est la raison de l'étoile en moins car il savait qu'on était là, heureusement reste du séjour pour le moment très bien.

Schönes Hotel in schöner Lage. Umfangreiches Frühstück.
Einen Punkt Abzug, weil die Bedienung an der Poolbar eher den Geschirrspüler einräumt, als Gäste zu bedienen. Das andere Personal war aber sehr freundlich.
Bei einem 5 Sterne Hotel möchte man dennoch das Gefühl haben nicht einer von vielen Gästen zu sein. Das haben sie leider nicht geschafft.

The hotel needs major upgrades. Even the bathroom faucet broke down and needed the maintenance man to come and spend time to fix it. With the exception of the staff in the restaurant ( Diego, Nunez) and the Katlyn at the entrance), most of the staff including reception need major customer service training. For the price we paid (more than any of the 5 star hotels we have stayed in Portugal), this one did not meet our expectations. There are other places one can stay in the area for better price and better experience. However, we mayst say, Diego in the restaurant and his manager Nunez as well as Kathlyn who greeted us ever day were exceptional employees who really care about their customers. Those were the ones who made a difference.

Fantástico. Os recepcionistas Sr. Luís Santos e Sr. André, são Excelentes, como Pessoas e Profissionais. Fazem - nos sentir como que estamos na nossa segunda casa, e sendo como uma Família. A Dona Mônica, assistente de Relações Públicas, é também uma Verdadeira Senhora, sempre atenta e preocupada, com o bem- estar de todos nós. É também uma Excelente Profissional. Don't be duped into thinking you'll be overlooking beautiful gardens on booking a garden suite - we had a bit of grass surrounded by fencing & then it was the car park. The room was meant to be a suite sleeping up to 4 people but only supplied 2 of each complimentary drinks, 2 glasses, 2 bath robes etc (halfway through we did get an extra glass & bathrobe). Hardly any storage - it's ok for 2, one of our party lived out of their suitcase.
The outdoor swimming pool was, at best , refreshing (freezing) you needed to keep moving!! The service at the pool bar was generally slow but it did depend who was serving and it's fairly pricy.
However, it it in an absolutely stunning location, the staff are generally friendly and helpful, especially Georges the evening bartender who does an amazing job. Mostly any issues raised were sorted fairly promptly.

The view of beach was very nice and the beach access was excellent. Staff was very friendly, but sometimes not very attentive. The daily room charge holds, even when prepaid in full, is unacceptable. I understand an incidental credit card hold, but to recharge me almost $300 a night ties up additional funds on people’s cards. The showers are also very small. For a 6ft 200lb for person, I found it hard to even turnaround in the cruise ship size shower.

This is a lovely hotel set on top of a cliff overlooking a lovely beach. Rooms are spotless and staff are very friendly and helpful. Relaxing atmosphere throughout the whole hotel from the pianist playing at breakfast to the music in the bar at night, have been there before and will go back again.

Das Hotel ist vielleicht in Portugal 5 Sterne aber in Deutschland würde es maximal 3 bekommen. Das Wasser im Pool stank nach Sonnencreme als wäre es gar nicht gefiltert dann wurde auf den Zimmer mit sehr viel Chlor geputzt was auch unschön war.Allgemein viele Hygienemängel!
Der Spiegel im Aufzug wurde wahrscheinlich auch nie sauber gemacht.

We spent 7 days in the hotel. I do not want to rate everything individually, I think that a 5 star hotel should have more to offer. But what a no go is are the BED BUGS! We were bitten on whole body. My wife got it particularly bad. We had immediately after returning go to the doctor and throw all the clothes. Hotel does not answer emails! Terrible and painful.We have not reported on the spot in the hotel this because we thought at the beginning that might be mosquitoes .

The rooms Not facing the pool/sea are very small!
The staff was good but their English is half half :p
The pool water was not heated that's you don't see many people swimming finally the food verity for breakfast was poor yet the piano player was excellent (two thumps up)

L'accueil est très professionnel. Ils savent ce que veut dire "satisfaction client".
Hotel totalement refait d'une très belle façon. Les chambres sont très belles et on s'y s'en bien. L'hôtel est grand. Le petit déjeuner est tres bon. Un petit restaurant existe pour les encas ou petites faims. Sublime accès à la tout aussi sublime plage des Trois Frères. Le restaurant est sublime mais onéreux par rapport à ce qui se fait au Portugal. Préférez les restaurants de la vieille ville. Un bon hôtel depuis leur rénovation que je conseille sauf pour les suites dont la déco laisse à désirer.
SPA sympa mais sans plus.

It was a high standard place with guests to match. No excessive drink parties or pool full of people. It was very nice, pleasant and classy. Staff were excellent as would be expected.

Overall this is truly and amazing place, true it may be a bit expensive for some but one does not only pay the staying but the overall experience it feel as soon as it reaches the hotel the entrance is magnificent and it overwhelms everyone that enters

Nice Hotel with beautiful pool and direct access to the beach.
Prices are ok (for sure higher than in a ☆☆☆ Hotel) but acceptable.
Food changes each day and rooms are clean and in good conditions.

Durante a primeira semana de junho/2019 o tempo esteve incerto. O ambiente na praia esteve sossegado. Só estragou haver o barulho de máquinas que descarregavam e espalhavam na praia a areia trazida do rio por um batelão.

Location 5 stars. Great beach and cool rock formations to walk through. Nice view from pool. 25min walk on the beach or couple minute drive to the lively town of Avor. Cons: smokers all over the place which ruined every meal we tried to have outside. AC didn't work very well. Bathroom was very European (small shower). Slow service at the poolside snack bar. I'd recommend going to one of the many beach restaurants nearby for lunch which generally are cheaper and offer a better view from the eating area. Overall would visit again.

Great location and view. They make you wait until 3 pm to get your room even with empty rooms, mold in the bathroom, reserved a special dinner and they changed the menu so we went to the buffet. 5 star fees but no where near that level of quality

Room had mold growing in shower grout lines and sink stopper that didn't work. They also refuse to let you in your room before 3 pm. Great beach and pool, but our weather was too cold to enjoy it much

Die Anlage liegt wunderschön an der Küste und einem langen Sandstrand. Die Appartements im South Beach Club sind gepflegt und sauber. Der Service beim Frühstück entspricht keinen fünf Sternen schade!

Room clean nice sea view, towels changed 3 times a day indoor pool needs refurbishing outdoor pool clean, lift down to beach nice boardwalk down to Alvor , breakfast looks nice but only just warm, don't know about evening meals as we went into Alvor for meals some nice eating and drinking places a lot cheaper than hotel .

Super Lage und sehr, sehr schöne Anlage. Personal an der Reception sehr freundlich. Zimmer und vorallem Bad etwas eng. Gutes Buffet am Morgen, Auswahl am Abend könnte umfangreicher sein. Essen an der Poolbar eher dürftig, Bedienung an der Poolbar zu langsam. Wegen toller Lage und schöner Anlage aber absolut zu empfehlen.

5* Hotel that is more like a 3*. Staff became aggressive when we asked to change our room. Photos on the website are misleading as they show the upgraded room and not the standard one. Hotel food very overpriced, 22 euro for a buffet is a lot. After we had got passed all the issues we had a very pleasant stay, good location for the beach.

Insgesamt eine sehr schöne Anlage, sehr nettes und zuvorkommendes Personal.
Empfehlenswert sind die Zimmer mit Meerblick, die Zimmer mit Gartenblick sind abends bzw. Nachts sehr laut wegen den Fröschen im Teich vor dem Hotel.
Das Hotel ist natürlich nicht gerade neu erbaut, aber die Anlage ist sehr schön und die Lage ist spitzen Klasse.

Teníamos serias dudas dada la antigüedad del hotel a pesar de sus reservas, y si se nota que es un hotel viejo, venido a menos. Para nada un 5*, uno de 4* y no de los buenos. Hay partes "nobles" muy cuidadas y con cierto esplendor como la planta 1 y el ambiente del restaurante, y otras claramente decadentes en las que no ha perdonado el paso del tiempo.
La habitación que cogimos, la segunda más cara después de la suite, tenía una mezcla de estilos, la puerta del baño mal pintada y con bisagras oxidadas, sin bidet, la ducha poco aislada y se moja todo, un montón de suciedad, encima de la repisa dos dedos de polvo, y muchos rincones sucios. El primer día volvimos a las 4:30 de la tarde para descansar hasta la cena y no habían echo la habitación, habitación que no se arreglo ese día.
La piscina cubierta una mini piscina mal llamada así, porque era un mini parque acuático para niños vociferantes, imposible disfrutarla. La piscina principal evidentemente helada e imposible de disfrutar a finales de marzo. Vistas impresionantes (hay que pagar un suplemento importante por una habitación vistas mar), y buen acceso laberíntico en ascensor a la playa. Los aparcamientos hay que tener especial cuidado con la altura del vehículo porque los soportes de la sombra no están bien resueltos y puedes chocar con ellos.
Al entrar te piden una fianza por lo que puedas consumir, te la devuelven dos días después en la tarjeta menos lo que hayas gastado.
Lo insufrible y lamentable, por lo que no recomendaremos este hotel ni a la cadena Pestana, es sin lugarb a duda por las comidas. el desayuno más o menos aceptable, no de un 5* sino de un 3* en España, pero lo de la cena es de juzgado de guardia. Nunca en nuestros viajes, y pernoctamos más de 50 noches al año en hoteles mínimo de 4*, hemos encontrado un bufet más desolador que el que ofrece este hotel. Lateral de ensaladas, y siempre 3 o 4 quesos del montón, nada de quesos de calidad o regionales. Los platos principales son 4 bandejas repetidas en ambas caras, con una carne o pescado, patatas fritas/asadas y verduras al vapor. El viérnes noche solo opción a pescado, bacalao salado y repleto de espinas y que se acababa y tardaban en reponer. Nada de carnes u otras alternativas. Y señores, los postres, lo más sagrado en un hotel, lamentables, tuvimos que quitarnos las ganas de pasteles, tartas o similares, tomando naranja cortada en rodajas con un poco de miel. Inconcebible !!!!, lo nunca visto, eso si había dos o tres terrinas de helados de marca desconocida. Básicamente cenamos una ensalada, verdura al vapor y naranja de postre... el hambre nos la quitamos con pan con mantequilla. Y la esperanza de que cada noche y acercándose el fin de semana mejoraría fue para nada, cada día peor. aprovechamiento de restos y ni un plato de cocina en vivo o cualquier concesión que salvara la cena. eso sí, los 5,50 de una botella de agua cobrados religiosamente. Gracias Pestana... por conseguir que no nos saltáramos la dieta ni pusiéramos peso... La última noche después de "cenar" tuvimos que coger el coche y bajar a Alvor a comer algo decente... nunca nos había pasado.
Considerando que este hotel de la cadena Pestana es un 5*, no quiero ni imaginar lo que serán los de 4* de la cadena... No pusimos hoja de reclamaciones, porque por experiencia no te van a devolver importe alguno y es mejor publicar en las webs y redes sociales lo que realmente ofertan. Nunca volveremos y lamentamos que por precios similares o menos, nos podíamos haber alojado en el Hilton Vilamoura, Cronwe o Anantara... 622€ por tres noches... dinero tirado...

Im Oktober weniger los und dadurch sehr erholsam. Das Buffet ist exellent, das Außengelände toll und die Lage auch.
Das Zimmer war sehr groß mit kleiner Küche.
Wir haben den Aufenthalt dort sehr genossen.

We are staying at this hotel and are very annoyed by 3 couples that put their towels on the loungers by the indoor pool everyday...they never swim and go to lunch for an hour or more. ..leaving their towels instu..!!!

Excelente localização. Excelente o Staff. Muito bom quarto, com pequena kichenette, onde não faltava absolutamente nada, com uma vista privilegiada, sobre a praia dos 3 irmãos. Cama confortável. Elevador directo à praia. Sobre a alimentação, não me poderei pronunciar, uma vez que não tomámos qualquer refeição no hotel. exterior com obras de arte, nomeadamente do Cargaleiro. Piscinas interiores e exteriores, grandes e bem emolduradas.

Perfect location, quiet ocean bay, a nice landscape, superb ocean view from my window and balcony, nice breakfast and dinner, perfect a la card meal, great frendly staff, nice indoor and outdoor swimming pools, there are many great restaurants in Alvor.
I like this hotel very much and sincerely hope to come back and spend my birthday in June.

Abzocke durch "Stornierung": Das gebuchte Hotelzimmer stand nicht zur Verfügung, trotzdem wurde für 5 Tage über 500 EUR abgebucht. Statt sich des Problems anzunehmen, wurde herablassend an der Rezeption ein schriftlicher Nachweis gefordert. So funktioniert kein "5-Sterne-Hotel" (eigentlich sollte so kein Hotel funktionieren). Keine Hilfestellung durch das Portal/Hotline der großen Buchungsplattform, auf dem die Buchung durchgeführt wurde, sondern es wurde behauptet, dass "nur 100 EUR Stornokosten entstehen. Meiner Meinung nach, Sittenwidrig und Unseriös, unnötiger Rechtsstreit. Habe mir nicht träumen lassen, dass so etwas passieren kann. Es ist empfehlenswert, über jeden Schritt einen Screenshot zu machen.
Weiterhin, es ist sehr oberflächlich, kosmetisch renoviert, was auf den Bildern auf Portalen nicht erkennbar ist. Schmutzige Teppiche in den Gängen, defekte Klimaanlage; Einrichtung auf dem Zimmer abgewohnt, zweckmäßig und in weiten Teilen Charme eines 60-er Jahre-Motels. Absolut keine Transparenz, Beschreibung des Hotels auf gängigen Seiten ist schlicht übertrieben.
